We had a broken Flex Plate on our 04 Dodge 2500. I contacted Ken at Tigard Transmission and he agreed to let us bring the truck in right away. The problem was fixed in very few days and at a reasonable cost. They are super friendly and work well with their customers! They also gave us a very good warranty on the work that was done.

Told me they would pull it in next week for a month straight, sat outside the shop for 2 months. They got the work at a fair price but bring your own parts cause others have had problems with theirs and expect to not have the car for an extended period of time.

My husband took his truck here for transmission repair. It was a very stressful time for us in this season of life but tiger transmission was there to help us get back on the road! The truck is driving great and we are very pleased and happy to say we will forever take our transmissions here for service.Thanks guys!!!

I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with close to 200K miles that had both failing transmission and 4 wheel drive. I was struggling on whether to fix and repair the vehicle or sell it. Ken and his wife and the mechanics worked with me on my best options. The communication was timely, fair and honest. The vehicle runs great. We had a great experience! The owner did a wonderful job keeping us updated and talking to us directly about best options for us. Very professional and patient. I recommend this place because even when we only called for an estimate, he really went in depth to tell us what to look for when trying to fix our car. They did a great job.

We brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for transmission work and he ended up fixing some of the other issues we had at a low price. The tech was super friendly and happy to help. We will definitely go here again with any future problems...we have a Jeep so there are bound to be more!

You guys are true hero’s...not only did you save us a couple thousand dollars but your saved us from the intense pressure of having a Vehicle down and out of commission.So...My experience.I have a tuned dodge diesel 6.7 with a crazy amount power and a another stock transmission was not an option.Before coming to (Tigard Transmission) I shopped around for days pricing the upgraded transmission I would need in order to handle to amount of power my power engine produces along with towing my 16,000 fifth wheel trailer.The quotes I received from other guys were ranging from $6800-$7000 plus🤯 ...talk about sticker shock!!Anyway..Ken (The owner of Tigard transmission)Received my inquiry of pricing and promptly called me back.I told him my situation and he had me come in to do a free estimate.When they dropped the pan they found a large amount of metal in the pan and the Magnet that is designed to attract metal particles looked like a porcupine...Anyway Ken and his crew where on it and did the same After market build I was originally looking for at only $4500 !!They literally saved me thousands!And also Just wanted to give a special shout out to Russ and Bob for your excellent work and customer service!

They replaced my transmission. Seems to be working fine. Everyone there has been very courteous. I paid a little more than I expected but I got a transmission that is heavy duty so thats on me.I would have rated 5 stars but they are hard to get ahold of and havent done well returning my phone calls.

The absolute worse. Im out almost $4000 and after multiple attempts of them trying to fix THEIR transmission it still doesnt run right.Isnt it curious how the owner responds to every negative complaint like they have no idea whats going on or its the first time hes hearing of the problem? Its a small shop. I promise you that know of my situation and every other person theyve screwed. Theyre just trying to save face online.Go somewhere else. Dont say I didnt warn you!

Ken and his wife are amazing! Ken was willing to worked with me and cut me a great deal! Full rebuild with 3 year warranty and just super personable. They will always be my recommendation because of their great service!

I took my car to these guys they told me I needed a new transmission. They gave me a price for $2000 and after much talk they came down to 1700, but I felt uneasy with the transaction. They told me they took the engine apart already and that they were waiting on parts. Just story after story. I was so uneasy about it all I decided I wanted my car back. It took multiple texts and calls to get my car. After much talk and text messages I finally got my car back and took to another mechanic who told me there was no transmission issue. The other mechanic said there is no transmission issue at all just that the car had a part that was missing which they replaced for 160 and the car now runs better then it was before. Beware and get a second opinion. It might save you thousands like it did in my case.

CROOKS. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!$3600 later and after multiple trips I still have a broken transmission. I finally had the car towed out of there because I couldnt take it anymore. Luckily I can still file small claims during Covid.Look through the owners other review responses. Isnt it convenient that they either claim ignorance of the situation all together, or blame it on the cars computer. Never their fault.Avoid this place!

My transmission was having issues. I brought it in to find out what was wrong and wanted to use my aftermarket warranty. The shop helped me use my warranty, got the parts needed to fix my truck quickly and got me back on the road. Highly recommend if you need any transmission work done.

Tigard transmission did a great job rebuilding my transmission. They did it in record time as well. Told me it would take a week and they had it done in four days even though the supplier forgot to include a part in the delivery. Another customer had the same thing happen to them while I was there and he came unglued, as if it was the shops fault. I overheard his wife doing everything she could to get the part. Some people are impossibleNick🤤

Would it be possible to rate less than one star? This company is absolutely the WORST auto shop... took our truck in because it was close by and we couldnt drive it. they fixed out transmission released it back to us we drive off to find out they messed up the new transmission and the CPU in the truck. Someone needs to close this company down for good before they kill someone...

The transmission in our truck died on a Friday afternoon as we were leaving for a short vacation. Kens shop was one of the few that were actually going to be open Saturday. When I called him it was immediately apparent that he knew what he was talking about. I had the truck towed immediately to his shop, and they were able to diagnose the issue right away. Whats more, the price he charged was more than fair, and he and his team went above and beyond in fixing our rig and giving us peace of mind while on our vacation. I highly recommend Ken and both of his shops, Tigard Transmissions and Lake Oswego Transmissions.

Took my vehicle in for transmission service and to replace some belts a lube place said needed replacing. They didnt and told me so, saving me some money. I appreciate the honesty! Ill take my vehicle back there again!

I have a 2013 Ford Escape. Apparently these are known to have transmission issues (found out from forums online).I took my car to Tigard Transmission after going to another place (the others wanted $7,500 for the job), Ken worked with me as my car was high miles (190K) and let me know that he should look over everything. Needed a turbo replaced as well.Long story short, Tigard Transmission ended up putting in a new transmission, turbo and a few little extras, all for about the same I would have gotten the transmission done at the other shop.There were some logistical issues with my car, he was going to try and rebuild the transmission but it was too far gone so since he couldnt do that, he offered me a discount on my current new transmission without me even asking and made all of this very affordable.I now have basically a mechanically new car for less than $10K rather than having to buy another $25,000 new car. Saved my finances, I can get to work. Really helped me out across the board.

Dont take your car here, they will just rip you off. They did a transmission rebuild for $2,500 which included a 36 month/ unlimited miles warranty, and drove the car for only month and got worth than before transmission was rebuilt. I took it back to them First he was trying to tell me it’s not the transmission it’s something else breaks so he can charge me for it but I knew %100 it’s transmission so he said ok but the problem starts here because he is not making any money doing work on the car he is work on some other car and keep saying waiting for the parts and ended my car parked in his shop for 28 days. If you call to get check on car he say I can get the parts from dealer but you have pay or you have to wait.I urge anyone who is reading this NEVER to go there.

Theyre very professional, NOT in the business theyre in, but in lies and ripping people off. Dont ever take your car there for repair. And If you do, make sure not to believe what they say, especially when it comes to their warranty and their promise of how long it takes to repair your car because your car would be sitting there for months.

Great service here,they have the some quality on their work that they had 15 years ago with their previous owner, this is the place you want to go if you need anything for your car transmission. They rebuild the transmission on my jeep on 2007 and I havent had any problems with the transmission on my jeep.

Tigard Transmision is awesome! They fix my 99 Durango 4 months ago with a 1 year warranty. It takes 4 months to ride and observe my truck before I write a honest review... I recommend you have to talk to the owner KEN when you bring your car to the shop.let me get this straight. I am from the islands. One of the worst for me is when my car broke down. Because every time I’m going to bring my car to a shop or a mechanic, I know I always over pay without the problem have been fixed.This is why it takes 4 months to write a review. It really impressed me that it’s the first time to find an honest shop. They order a transmission for me and upon arrival of my transmission they check and the transmission was not good so they rebuild mine without charging me more. I am so pleased and so happy that I finally find a place to bring my car when I needed help. And I share to KEN my problem and he even work with me on a payment plan.Once again Tigard Transmision is the best! KEN thank you so much and Kilisou chapur...I will bring my other vehicle in the near future!

Terrible experience with Tigard Transmission. My wifes car had transmission issues so I took it in. They said I needed a new transmission. Got the car back with the re-built transmission and it still had problems. Then they told me it needed a new cpu. Over the next 2 weeks, they werent responsive on when the car would be done or when the cpu would be in. Trying to get any information from them was a pain. I dont even think the transmission needed to be re-built in the first place. Look elsewhere for transmission service.

Never again. Had them install a transmission, I got 28k miles out of it before it was toast. Called to let them know, and he told me that sucks and that he gets no guarantee from his wrecking yards and tried to sell me a new one. No way will they get my business again.. i cant afford to come back every 28k miles for faulty work. He didnt even offer to check out the bad one and see if it was an easy fix. No integrity here..Edit:Now in response to the owner respose.. 9 months later I can finally afford to have the transmission done.. again. They were the last place to touch anything under the car, and so far we have found the following from your work:4 missing housing bolts1 missing starter mount bolt1 mismatched and WRONG upper strut boltIm truly surprised I didnt have more go wrong in the 28k miles I drove it after you had it. Unhappy former customer doesnt really begin to scratch the surface.

My husband and I bought a vehicle from them, the deal was we would pay half first then when the transmission and a few other repairs were done and were fixed they would get the rest. They called us several weeks later, saying the vehicle was finally ready, this only after we had called daily and asked why it wasnt done yet, the said it was ready so we picked it up and paid the rest of the money. We drove it away and didnt even make it home, it died on us and we brought it back to them, they now say, they dont have time to fix it, they dont know whats wrong, their mechanic is on vacation, all sorts of excuses to avoid fixing it or giving us our money back. We have asked for it to be fixed or a refund, but have received neither, this place is dishonest and the people here dont do what they promise to do. Bad way to run a business. Now we are going to have to drag this out in court, involve lawyers and spend even more to try to get justice and maybe our money back from these people. Avoid a headache and go somewhere else, this place will just take your money and do nothing. On top of that they have yelled at us for asking for our money and wont answer phone calls, we have to drive all the way out there anytime we want to speak with anyone. I am writing to the BBB about this too, since I saw that they are accredited by them.

They did a transmission rebuild for $2,300, which included a 36 month/50,000 mile warranty, and I gave the car to my son right after the transmission was rebuilt. Something went wrong the other day with the transmission, and they said they will not honor the warranty because my son isnt the original customer. That is very upsetting and disappointing. I urge anyone who is reading this NEVER to go there.

Brought in a work truck for a Slave cylinder replacement on a brand new clutch. They actually took a hammer to my new clutch and told me it was bad. I am a mechanic... when i called them on it they kicked me out of thier shop, closed the bay doors and refused to fix what they broke. THEN... they sabotaged two of my fleet vehicles since my business was next door by loosening the transmission of my Dump Truck and loosening the the driveline carrier of another. A friend took a car in with a drip in the tranny line and they charged them for a new transmission and all they did was clean and paint the tranny with silver paint. SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!

Ken his crew has dealt quickly with each of the problems small and large that I have had with my vehicles through the years i can trust my vehicle with many miles on a long trip as long as I visit Tigard transmissions first and all of my company vehicles are always running well I have been bringing my personal and company vehicles to Tigard transmission for at least 6 years
