I had been driving with blown speakers for a while, and decided to pick up a pair of new fronts. Bryce helped me over the phone with some questions I had about stock and what to go with, and Tyler helped me in store with a bunch of other questions as well. He came out to my car and helped me figure out the best setup I felt comfortable going with. Excellent customer service from the both of them, they were very nice and helpful. Will be coming back soon to get a set for the rear next.

Came in to get my vehicles FOB working and tint the windows. I worked with Francisco and he was extremely helpful. The work turned out perfectly and to my surprise they fixed a smaller, existing issue I had with the car free of charge. Highly recommended!

Friendly/ Professional service !The guys at this location were awesome!I initially arrived to get an audio install and left with several things done to my vehicle. The sales guys here where very helpful giving me options as well as honest opinions on what would fit my needs, as I highly value and appreciate! Nothing like going to a place and people only wanted to make money. Not here. I was pleased with their prices and couldnt pass it up.All the guys who put in the work did great job! Car tint was awesome, clean and looks good! Headlight restoration was amazing, made such a difference it looks new! Kenwood touch screen audio installation is phenomenal, so great not having that stock radio! Clean and updated ! These guys at this location are good guys as I left the store a happy customer with a better looking, sounding vehicle! Im now a happier commuter thanks to Car Toys!

Great experience, friendly staff - Brandon and Jordan were super helpful in selecting an audio upgrade for my ride that was what I needed. They were also great with working with me on options that suited my budget. Jordans installation was pro-level... he took care of my ride and made sure the new equipment fit well, especially the custom built box for my floor subs. Sounds is 1000% better than my old OEMs. Thanks fellas!

Groupon for Express detailing is not worth it.. so many things arent covered, and it still took way too long. Once done, it didnt seem much better than what we could have done at home. there was still sand and crud in the seat latches, etc.

Called to make an appointment on a Saturday to get my car detailed on a Monday. Went In to drop off my car and 4 hours later I get a call saying there was a mix up and they took a walk in car before mine? Well then what was the point of the appointment???? They asked if they could keep it over night because they couldnt get it done that day. Went in to pick up my un touched car and I was very upset. They offered us $50 off, but taking the entire day to call me to let me know nothing has been done and my appointment was by passed? I wanted something else to be done!!! So I was promised a call from the store manager the next day but 2 days have gone by and no phone call. Never ever going back!

Went to car toys today and got navigation system, intergraded steering wheel controls, and backup camera installed.. Installer, sales manager and sales representative did a great job with install and with purchase... I have also got my alarm and auto start installed here. This is my second time going to Car Toys in Tigard. Very nice group of personal at this Car Toys. I would definitely recommend people to come to this Car Toys to buy and install here. I have been to many Car Toys and this one beats the rest of them...... 👍👍👍

On January 30 2020, I came in to have a new alarm and bass box installed in my vehicle. When I received my car back from the all day installation, I found that the drivers door handle Bezel and Seat Track-Upper Cover for my electric seat controls were both broken also that the threshold for the drivers side door was not reinstalled. Luckily that was not broken when I shut the door on it. I also noticed that my steering wheel controls were no longer functioning correctly. I went back into the store and have them look at the issues. A sales associate looked at the broken items. The sales associate told me that her manager would contact me the next day, which didnt happen. I was in the area so I decided to stop by the store and talk to the manager. Since he was not in the store at the time the same sales associate came out, wrote down my VIN number and told me that she was going to order the replacement parts. After a few weeks of not hearing anything I contacted the store to check on the status of the parts. The parts were not ordered. I later received a phone call from Jorge on Feb 1st 2020, who told me he was going to order the replacement parts for my car. He asked for pictures of the broken parts which I promptly sent that same day. About 2 weeks later on Feb 13th I texted Jorge to find out the status of my parts. He responded by telling me “ I apologize for the late reply it’s been crazy lately at work. Ill follow up with you in a moment” and asked for the VIN number. I sent a picture of my VIN number right away. I texted Jorge yesterday Mar 10 2020, for an update and he responded with Im checking right now! I apologize for the super long delay we have to go through certain steps to get parts as of recently. Give me 30 minutes and Ill get you a status. I texted him 2 hours later for an update and never got a response. Here I am a month in a half after the installation with my car still in pieces. This has been a horrible experience. Shoddy installation and bad customer service. Last update, its now been 8 months since the beginning of this amazing experience. I have purchased all of the parts and fixed everything myself. Do yourself a favor and avoid this poorly managed company.

I had a bad visit to this location today, I was originally scheduled for a window tint at 3pm. I got a call for the installer to see if I could come sooner then originally planned. So I told him noon so he scheduled it for 12pm. I show up and he said it would be 2 hours before he can get to me, then another 2 hours to install the window tint. This was after he haggled me on the price. Essentially came down to $100 a window for the ceramic tint. A little steep for what I was planning on but I was fine with. I wasn’t ok with hanging out for several hours when I know it takes 45 min to an hour to install. I will be looking elsewhere to have it done. It was a big waste of my time.

Brought my own stereo, steering wheel control module, and camera for installation. I also had a Groupon for an interior detail that was gifted to me. I schedule a 9am Saturday Appt on a Tuesday. I anticipated this would be a half to 3/4 day job. Called in the afternoon and they told me they were having trouble with the steering wheel controller. Thats fine things come up. Get a call near closing that they will need to keep it to next day. No problem. Next day I called at 12:30 for status. Was told the tech would call me back shortly. After no call, I called at 2:30 and was told they still didnt have it working, but should have it done soon. At 40mins before closing I call wondering what is going on. They said it was done and that I could pick it up. Stereo install was done correctly, however the camera was not. After I got home I noticed that whenever the car is on (any gear) bright white LED lights on the reverse camera were also on. The provided instructions clearly state this camera had to be wired to the reverse circuit. As professionals who do cameras and aux lighting I would expect you to know it is illegal to drive with rear facing white lights. I had to take time off work on Tuesday to come back and have it wired properly.The other issue was the detail. The Groupon Description is not very clear in what it provides. Said value was $129, so I assumed it included everything the $139 basic package includes listed on the car toys website. I was disappoint to find out it did not cover the carpet shampoo. The salesman who I initially dropped the car off with said groupon takes $40 of the $79, so it is just a basic vacuum, surface clean, ozone and interior windows. That sure as hell is not a $129 value. I needed the seats and carpets hot water extracted, so I agreed to a $100 upcharge. The rest of the car was actually very clean to begin with. When I picked up the car there was installation debris all over the car and smudges on the windows, and the hot water extraction job was poor. Corners of the backseat were clearly missed and the rear center arm rest was completely missed. I paid more in total than the Signature package, yet door jambs and window exteriors were not cleaned. I went back into the store to express my dissatisfaction. He offered to have me bring it in the next day to be vacuumed. I do not have time to take off work for an hour round trip and wait for the job to be done right or a two hours of of round trips with 2 cars to drop one off. After requesting a partial refund, he reluctantly removed the $100 upcharge for the hot water extraction. He offered no apology for the poor quality job, only complained twice that he would get in trouble for removing the $100 fee. The $79 for the partially dirtier interior, but mediocre cleaner carpets and seats I suppose was a fair price considering it was a gift to me. Also note, the wire mess should have been cleaned up even if I didnt pay for a detail!In the end I did have to come back 2 days later to fixed the always on camera light as I did not want a ticket. I told them I had a limited time (of which I took over an hour and half off of work). They agreed they would promptly fix the wire and vacuum the car. I brought the car in and then took an hour and half lunch. When I came back they said the camera was fixed but they hadnt cleaned the car yet. Unfortunately I had to go to a meeting and could not wait any longer. I will be finishing the detail job properly myself this weekend.I would absolutely NOT recommend Car Toys to anyone for detail services. If you cant afford to provide decent service through Groupon, then dont offer it! And when someone pays for an upgraded service, please do a thorough and quality job. After this experience I cannot recommend Car Toys detailing service to anyone. Reviews show this seems to be a common experience. As far as the AV install, I would only recommend Car Toys for basic jobs. The attention to detail, cleanliness and communication were all very poor.

Had a great experience at Car Toys in Tigard yesterday. I was looking to upgrade my stock Toyota JBL system which was 15 years old. Was a little overwhelmed with all the different options that are now available. Brandon was very patient with me and took the time to explain all of my options and really helped me hone on the right system for my needs. Francisco was also super knowledgeable and informative and the install looks and sounds great! Can’t thank Car Toys and their amazing staff enough! Slam dunk 5-star review!

The technical work, I believe was satisfactory for the installation of the Compustar alarm/remote starter. I have to admit it would have been challenging given the previous alarm installation was flawed and it is an analog vehicle and would require individual wiring of the harness. It functions for now. But there are problems that should have been avoided:.1. The choice of location of the antennae should have been at the rear view mirror or passenger side corner not in the peripheral vision of the driver. I believe this was a choice of convenience for the installer. I called Compustar regarding this location choice. It is not the best location.2. The operation of the emergency brake was hampered by stray wires under the dash board. I had to untangle them before releasing from my parking brake today and get out of the vehicle on a hill with traffic in order to accomplish my task. Once arriving home, I had to redirect and mount the wires so that they would not catch the brake and tear apart.3. The knowledge of the salesman regarding installation was lacking. I had an appointment at store opening with expectation of two hours wait. I arrived with the notification of 4 hours wait and then it was over 8 hours later that the installation was complete. I was assured that it took technician this amount of time (honestly , if he was torn away from my project multiple times throughout the day and had to wire the harness individually, the it may have taken the full 8 hours) . The biggest problem is that I was never contacted that the work was taking twice as long as expected or provided any sort of estimate. I was not a walk-in. I was scheduled. I was worried that I was going to have to stay the night in Portland since my vehicle was inoperable still at 5:30 pm. I was essentially trapped. I live 1.5 hours drive from the store.4. There were other details provided by the salesman regarding the Compustar unit that I suspected were incorrect and my research confirms that there were inaccuracies in the sales pitch but I bought the unit regardless.I provided a rating of 1/5 stars for the lack of respect for my time, for the lack of aesthetic organization of the visible components and for lack anticipation of problems with wiring locations.

If you cant do the basics, like answer the phone, in the middle of the day at 1:30 PM then something is wrong. It literally rang for about 3 solid minutes before someone picked up and then hung up the phone. And yes it was the correct number.

There are two of these near us. One in Beaverton and one in Tigard. This location is in Tigard on highway 99. They were super uncool and generally rude and patronizing. Dont know why.I ended up going to the other car toys in Beaverton and spent $1200 to get hooked up with speakers and a new head unit, blutooth, auto door locks, and a backup camera and was very happy.I wish these guys were not such jerks since they are much closer.

I’ll start with the good: John was an extremely helpful salesman, with a great willingness to educate and explain the difference between models. I enjoyed working with him.The install however, was a completely different story. Honestly just lazy, and they tried to nickle and dime me at the end, after agreeing to an install price beforehand. The bluetooth mic was not placed where i asked (i suspect because it was easier/ quicker do put it elsewhere) and the deck does not look good installed.On top of that, there was a super annoying buzz that would come out of my speakers whenever the deck was on. They told me i would have to do all sorts of extra labor to get rid of it, or replace my amp with a brand new one (plus the labor!). I took it into my own hands and was able to fix it for $40 in parts and about 15 minutes of my time.At the end of the day, i feel like i overpaid for a poorly done job. One that they tried extremely hard to get even more money from. I’d recommend researching some independent shops instead of using car toys.

I wasted so much time in this building dealing with Jordan trying to short me constantly on money, installs, and parts. This man has absolutely no ones interest in mind other than his. I encourage everyone to triple check their installs, sales receipts, and parts when dealing with Jordan and JB the installer. The only reason they are even getting 2 stars is because (I believe his name was Greg) was an absolute gem and he made sure I got the service I paid for. Thank you Greg because the world needs more people like you.

The window tinting tech did not provide an informative experince. The window tinting job was not smooth and had wrinkles in it. I could and should of gone elsewhere to get a better job done with the same ceramic tint for a significantly lower cost.

**UPDATE:**Well now Im really kind of upset! After waiting there from 10:00 a.m. to almost 9:00 p.m. last week my sons car didnt get in there until after closing and they were only able to do the front speakers and promised us that if we came back on Wednesday 6/23/21 at noon Jordan would jump right on his car first before anybody elses and that has not happened!!! My son Kayden got there at 11:45 before the 12:00 p.m. appointment and it is now 3:19 and he is still sitting there outside in the heat and his car is not even in the bay yet. Nobody has even bothered to come tell him what is going on and I just dont understand why we were first quoted the wrong price then told to come back Wednesday at a specific time and are still not being seen. I even gave Jordan a tip for staying late past closing although my sons car had sat there from 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. before even being worked on because Jordan seemed to have an understanding about what happened. Now I regret that and I regret giving such a good review all to have this turnaround and happen today all over again.This makes me really upset. If you cant uphold what you tell somebody then dont tell them something specific and expect them to do it and then not hold up your end of the bargain. And my son is too kind of a person to go say something but I definitely dont mind! I specialize in cs and this is not rite. To not even come out and talk to my son to tell him whats going on is really poor on your end cartoys. He is spending almost $700 of his hard-earned money to get his car fixed and missing work to make sure he was there today like you asked. Hes 20 years old has two kids and a fiance and doesnt have time to sit around all day waiting for you guys to get to the car in on a specific day that you said to be there.Previous review before 6/23/21 So I just want to give a huge shout out to the gentleman that works their name Jordan! We brought my sons car in at 10:00 in the morning to have speakers put in in the front and the back. Well they were so busy his car ended up sitting there all day all the way till closing and Jordan stayed an hour and a half past the time they closed to get the job done. My son was also quoted the wrong price and instead of changing the quote and making us pay more he honored what we were originally quoted. So Bravo Jordan, you set the bar high for customer service!!!

Purchased a new remote starter for my wife cars. Seemed a little over priced... they installed fairly quickly which I was surprised. Once testing it out in the parking lot I discovered it wasn’t working properly. Went back in and told them about it and they had the installer come back out messed around with it for about 30 sec and said it’s all good. I took it home and tested it again and it was doing the exact same thing.. had to drive back down there and have them work on it some more. Took the car home again and discovered the heater doesn’t turn on when you use the remote start.. the whole reason why you get one. Had to return for a 3rd time to have them fix the heater issue. On top of those issues the sense to the remote start was installed on my windshield improperly so it fell off on day one.. unable to use the original adhesive. I told them about it the last time I took it in for heater and they brushed it off and didn’t even try to fix the hanging sensor. So now I’ll waste my time fixing something I paid to have installed. I suggest to find a cheaper and more reliable shop if you plan on getting a remote start.

Not impressed at all! I went in today and the service was blah!They didn’t go out of their way to try and help me figure out a good system for my 2021 Jeep. They are either understaffed or just too busy. He just wasn’t helpful at all. I used to like to shop here but this is the 2nd bad experience I’ve had here. I won’t go back!!I called “Stereo King “ all the way in the opposite direction out in Salem and was treated like gold and we were able to go over many details (over the phone) and felt very well taken care of.I plan on driving out on Saturday to finalize my purchase and install with them.Your loss car toys Twice now!

When I picked up my car, the trunk floor mat was missing, the rear seats were not attached to the car, and the interior was much dirtier than it was when I dropped it off. There needs to be more attention to detail towards the entire process, because it’s only a partly-done job when you arrive and your car is in this condition.

Today I went to Car Toys in search of a dash cam for my car. Met up with Francisco who went through all of our requests and matched us with the cameras that met our needs. Next up was the installation. Francisco was able to have the installation done same day. He indicated it would take 3 1/2 hours. They do not have a waiting room due to COVID!! It was a nice day so I walked to Costco and Walmart to waste some time. Well 2 hours passed and I get a phone call that my car is ready!! Car Toys found a second technician to help with the installation since they knew I was waiting!! Now that is service!!! This was my 4th interaction with CarToys but if needed it will not be my last!! Thank you Francisco! You went above and beyond!!

This time I had to wait, they worked very hard and finished it in record time with me watching... I appreciate their efforts on my behalf, they did an excellent job in half the time and did it with a smile. Again I did feel badly that this time I could not just drop it off, but they were amazing. I had my car detailed for the first time by Car Toys (Jaidon and Josh) and I will be a repeat customer! They were running a special where if you purchased an Ultimate interior package you received a Classic exterior package for free. I was able to get my car in for the very next day. I could immediately tell a difference as soon as I saw my car in the parking lot. It looked brand new, both inside and outside! Highly recommend!

Went to Car Toys for detail cleaning including washing my seats and floor. Had to go twice, the first time I went it turns out my appointment was not on file so I would have to leave my car all day due to how busy they were. So they recommended I go back the next business day and get there at 8am (they open at 9am) in order to be one of the first ones and it would only take 4-6 hours. I did as recommended and my 4-door compact car took almost 11 hours to get the detailed cleaning done. My dashboard is not “detailed” at all, there is dust in my air vents. Also noticed there is white dog hair on my back seat- I don’t even have a white haired dog.I have to say my car smelled great when I picked it up. Since my car wasn’t ready until 7:30pm and it was dark by then, I couldn’t notice these things then. Overall I paid over $200 for this plus $60 for the Uber drive from and to Car Toys. Front desk was very friendly - no complaints there. But I can tell you I will NOT be going back to Car Toys to get my car cleaned again. Might as well do it myself.

I want to preface my comments by stating the type of vehicle they were working on: a 2021 Audi Q7, Prestige. I want to state this explicitly to show that this was a complex job.With that type of car, you are always a little nervous to have such work completed. But, driving by, I had always seen higher-end vehicles in their shop. After speaking with Daniel and Jordan, I felt very comfortable leaving my new Audi in their hands. It wasnt just their knowledge on want I wanted out of this installation, but their clear expertise.I want to specifically shoutout Daniel, who I assume did most of the installation. The install is beautiful, to put it plainly. I am very satisfied, not just with the service, installation, etc., but with the end result and how it pleases my ears. I want to thank Daniel specifically for this. Great *** job.

Came to have work done. They did not say it would be a all day event. I am disabled and have a bad back. Been standing here for 3 hours for t g em to tell me at least 2 more hours. They have NO where to even sit. I am dying in pain and this place sucks. They should of told us on phone it would be at least 5 hours I could of had someone pick me up.

Fantastic job by Josh at tigard car toys! My car was beyond disgusting and he spend all day on it. Amazing job getting all the pet hair off the back seat and everywhere else. Highly reccomend. I had a groupon but they did price comparison and saved me money, they willhonor the groupon when I go back for my refresher detailing. Thanks so much! Way better than I was expecting it could ever look like again!!!

Great guys! Matt was knowledgeable on the sales end, directed me to the perfect thing for me without trying to up-sell me on some stuff I did t need or want.Dominic was the installer and did a great job. Walked me through where I wanted to put the usb input and mic vs. just doing what he wanted. He was also able to work around OEM equipment that I didn’t know about without another up charge.

Looks like I can’t give two separate reviews.... so I’ll be as objective as I can.I bought online a bluetooth device to connect to my car, I took it in to have it installed, the sales man wanted $300 (they’re crazy) went to my mechanic and he did it for $80 in one hour (just in case you’re thinking it was a big job)Not going back here any time soon.—————————Also....Hey Car Toys, what language is that?———In any case both times I would have given a one star rating.

4 stars for now getting installed tomorrow?.,OK where its the next day and they earned the star now a 5 star experience with car toys not only was a helpful, very respectful of the space for covid-19.I was able to hangout for couple hours, like to thank the installer, very clean and timely process I am very excited about my new Kenwood w/all the needed applications like Bluetooth and the Alexa, Amazon music 🎶 Pandora Sirus XM Spotify etc. Only the is not screen, links to my android phone. Went to CarToys Tigard location to get a deck for my 2001 4Runner. Miguel and Jordan were awesome! They hooked me up with the deck I wanted. I ended up upgrading my headlights to LEDs while I was there. Stimmy $ well spent. Go see these guys - they will take great care of you!

Honesty went to Tigard location first got a quote said it would cost $80 but couldnt get to sent me Beaverton location to install ended up costing $433 in installation and I asked bow long because wife is on oxygen and limited time on battery told could get it done 1.5 hours later still waiting to get in asked could I make appt told they get on it 6 hours later and 40 min. after wife oxygen ran out they got done

Was not satisfied with the service I received. Order a radio on Friday was told I could pick it up Monday. Came in Monday morning to pick up the radio, was told it was not ordered and they would try to get it from another store. Was told they would call me when they found the radio, never received call back. I called them about 4pm, a gentleman told me he would check the order. After being on hold for 16min another employee answered and informed me it would be Jan. 16 before the radio arrived. I planned on returning for a refund. Later that evening got a call saying they had located the radio, it had arrived from another store Saturday and been placed it the back where it would not be sold. It seem like your employees do not communicate well. I currently do not plan on returning to car toys with the service I received.

I had the best experience at the Tigard Car Toys having my stock headlights, running/blinker lights & fog lights replaced with high intensity LEDs. Also, replaced the stock radio/CD player & front door speakers with a new Kenwood Bluetooth system. Working with the store manager Francisco & technician Eric, I found a polite, professional & competent team. They exceeded my expectations, the old statement of ‘under promise, over deliver’ was what I experienced! Car Toys was great in helping me to pick out a stereo for my husband for a surprise. He loves the radio they suggested and it looks great. They installed it right after I picked it out. I also had a detailing done, which is why I gave the review 4/5 stars. It took a bit longer than they said, and parts of the inside of truck werent done super great (still some clumps of pet hair and some dirt in places, plus the inside of the windows were done, but they did say I could come back to have them clean the windows for me). However there was a large coffee spill on the carpet that they almost completely removed (yay!) and overall I think they did a really good job. Id definitely go back in the future. Thanks guys!

Did a great job on my very dirty SUV. Weve got (3) dogs, and I know its difficult, and a pain, but these guys put their heads down and worked. Really satisfied with the result.Id also like to thank the audio tech that helped with some steering wheel controls. Life saver! I have to take a minute and acknowledge the amazing service that CarToys in Tigard has given to me. It have now used them for 3 modifications to my new van and every time I call or come in they have treated me and the other patrons with the up most respect and professionalism. My last visit I was assisted by Zoe. She was an absolute delight and while my install was delayed due to pack schedule of cars they were working on she was quick to offer her apologies and when I returned the next day worked with the install crew to get me in and have my van back to me that afternoon. I can’t thank them enough for helping me pick out the right options and understanding my budget and needs. These guys really know there stuff.

I went in to this store at 5:00 on July 3rd looking for a gps antennae. I had pretty much given up hope as I had been to three other places that were closer to me. The manager, Francisco, was super-polite in spite of the fact that he was also super busy. He asked what I needed and I told him. He furrowed his brow and said, I dont know if we have any of these kind still (its an older GPS antenna I was needing) but let me take a look. He went back into his storeroom and came back out less than a minute later with exactly what I needed! The only thing was it wasnt in a box or anything, and so I didnt know what I should pay him. I asked how much and Francisco waved his hand and said, Happy Fourth if July. Holy cow, are you kidding me? In a time a pandemic, when most every other retail store I frequent has employees that couldnt care less about helping the customer, Francisco not only solved a problem others could not, he went the extra mile of actually looking for a solution instead of just telling me no, AND he just let me have it on top of everything else, no charge. It wouldnt surprise me if the antenna was his own personal property, thats how awesome this guy was. First time in that store, last time Ill go anywhere else. Give that man a raise! Francisco!!!!

Don’t make your ads misleading. I came in for an ad to replace my truck radio with a new Le wood for $399.99 free installation. The total cost was almost $600 more for all of the ad ons. The ad said “free installation for most cars”. I will probably never return.
