Very nice guitar store on South Dale Mabry. Well stocked, even had nice high end guitars. Which you don’t see too many at Guitar Center anymore. Guitar Center even did away with its high end room. Not a lot a large of amps though. Decent selection of effects and effect pedals, definitely has all the gear to get you started or keep you going.

Nice store with some truly amazing Gibsons to spend thousands on!! Alpine white SG triple with gold hardware, check. Four reverse Flying V Korinas, check. Les Pauls from ancient to New, check. Some rare Fenders and Godins and more, and nice amps of all prices. Clean, nice acoustic section as well. Will be back.

Glad to be back in the Takamine game with this 2021 LTD Edition Blue Rose If you are a guitar player/collector/lover Google it or visit ESPTakamine. Saw online and everywhere else and all were Pre-Order/Back Order. Found this one at Replay Guitar Exchange and after a little conversation, checking the condition et. al., it was time to drop the hammer. Best packing I have had in quite a while and on time! Im a bass player with a large church in Lutz, FL and have worked with Shawn for a number of years. When I buy a bass I agonize over it, may bring it back, then buy it all over again. Replays return policies are a generous 14 days, and Shawn and Kent have been very gracious with me as I suffer cognitive dissonance! To date, Ive bought two amps, speaker cab, some pedals, accessories, and about 5 basses from Shawn for an undisclosed large sum of money! Great shop. Great people!

Dont be fooled by the plain exterior or location of Replay Guitars. Its a huge store, beautifully laid out, with a massive inventory of new and used guitars. Theres an acoustic room stuffed with low and high end guitars and a separate room for basses. They offer instruction for different instruments and the staff is made up of folks who have been on the Tampa guitar scene for a long time. The coolest thing about this store is the free concerts and workshops they offer every month. National recording stars and representative from major guitar manufacturers give clinics and demonstrtions and its all FREE! Check it out.

This is a message for the sales staff. Just because you dont think a customer has any money or you dont think they are going to purchase anything its not wise to blow them off. I am a new player and needed some help and advice on equipment and guitars. When you thought I was not going to purchase anything you just left me standing with no explanation, so I left to find a store that doesnt mind working with a customer, especially a rookie player. You have a beautiful store with quality merchandise but there are lots of new players who need guidance just like me.

I wanted to get my grandson an electric guitar for Christmas. However, not being sure if he is going to stick with playing, I wanted to get a used guitar. The guys here were so helpful. I was able to get a Fender Squier and I bought all the the necessities that needed to go with it. When I got home I saw that the case that they had given me was ripped, they replaced it with another one without any questions. I had to call them again this morning because I left the whammy bar in the original case. These guys have had a lot of patience with me. And I really appreciate it. I really think I have found my new favorite place for my guitar needs! I highly recommend!

I had another shop do some work to the bridge on my guitar and I was very unhappy with their work. I called Charlie and he did a really good job on my guitar at a good price. From now on I will never go anywhere else. Charlie is THE MAN.

My favorite music store in U.S great selection, excellent Staff

Poor communication and a lack of transparency while neglecting to clearly state store policy. I bought a vintage guitar from them at the upper end of market value that was in “near-Mint” condition. When it arrived, it had some defects that weren’t disclosed, most notably a ding in the body. I was offered a partial refund. What they didn’t tell me was that if I accepted this partial refund, it nullified my ability to return the guitar which is a critical piece of information in any transaction. I was told by phone dont worry about it, were pretty lenient about the return window policy and will work with you. Towards the end of the return window, I fell on hard times financially and was going to return the guitar as it had been sitting in the case but we had a Covid scare in the house. Out of respect for the health of the Replay employees, I waited until we had confirmation that there was no Covid so I didn’t ship them back a contaminated guitar. When I contacted them I was told “when you opted for the partial refund that offer was voided. I apologize that was not made clear to you”. They now insist that I pay for shipping and a “restocking” fee – which amounts to ¼ the price of the guitar! Small business owners complain that they can’t keep up with the big box stores, and this is a perfect example why: you have to treat your customers at least as well or better than they do, but definitely not worse. Even the oft-hated mega-corp Guitar Center was more lenient on their return policies during the Covid crisis than this place was.

I have now been twice to get two different guitars worked on. The first time I went one of the people who works there was making fun of the fact that I wanted to get my Alvarez fixed and said something to the effect of no point in fixing a guitar that is not worth anything. He did not know i was listening and heard everything he said. Then I was told they could not work on it and was sent away. The second time I dropped off a 20 year old epiphone Les Paul and asked for a quote before they fixed it. They said including the quoteIt would be ready to go within two weeks well two weeks came and went and no phone call. When I arrived back at the store and ask them about it they were very standoffish and the gentleman who works on guitars was extremely rude and irritated by the fact that I was upset that it had been two weeks and I still hadn’t received a phone call for a quote he never even touched my guitar I was once again asked to leave the store this place is garbage don’t go there

I brought my Martin to get set up here and it turned out that it needed a neck adjustment . They did such an amazing job and the guitar plays better than ever . This is by far the best guitar shop around . I highly recommend them !

Mr. Shawn Wainwright has a wealth of knowledge and experience in EVERYTHING related to bass. Hes sat down with me several times to explain how to optimally EQ bass rigs for various settings/audiences, how to balance tone, how to leverage different pedal/effects options etc... As and endorsed artist, hes also been able to give me a lot of insight into the music industry as a whole... all of this for FREE before I ever purchased a single bass from him (which I eventually did and will gladly do again). Most people would pay a fortune to learn from someone like him.Shawn really does it for the love of music and the empowerment of musicians. Kudos to Replay Guitar Exchange. Ill be back soon!

I had my 2016 Les Paul set up here and I am so happy with the results. The guitar wouldnt stay in tune and had some intonation issues. These guys know what they are doing and made a previously frustrating guitar to play sound beautiful again. Thanks so much!

Great place, much better than the big name shops in the area. The only negatives is they need a more diverse amp selection and they need to carry more strings for 7 string guitarists! Staff was great! I drive past 2 other shops to get there so that speaks on the quality.

I ordered a guitar on their eBay but decided to pick it up at their store. About a 40 minute drive but was worth it. I was greeted and helped right away. The Woman at the front desk was very nice and she got someone to help me very quick. Tony(I believe his name was) helped get everything setup and I was ready to go in about 5 minutes. Store is really cool with a nice selection. Great price and very happy with my guitar. Highly recommended.

Bought a used electric at Replay in July with competitive financing at 0% for 18 months. A month later there was a small problem with the tuners Matt and his team worked tirelessly to successfully remedy the issue. Nice to have a South Tampa music retailer, especially one that cares about post-sale service.

We went here while on vacation from Minnesota. My SO fell in love with a guitar, however we left without purchasing it. We flew home the next morning. That guitar was all he talked about the entire weekend. On Monday I called and spoke to Josh. They still had the guitar! Josh was fantastic. After talking to him about payment and shipping, he transferred me to Matt to finish the transaction. Matt was so accommodating and helpful. We received the guitar with 4 days. Shawn was amazing! I have never met anyone with more knowledge of bass guitars. He was incredibly patient with my son, a new bass player, and educated him on all of the options so he could chose the best instrument for him. I would never buy from anywhere else.

Be prepared for the State of Shock when you walk in there and see all the guitars , vintage. Personally Ive never seen anything quite as complete. I found the staff Hubert I found a staff to be very friendly and and well versed on there product. Im sure they could handle just about any second situation theyve got a repair shop it looks like a good shop. Great trial policy Exchange were going to be right there at the top of my list here in Tampa.

Way nicer than expected. Britton plaza is run down, but Replay is actually amazing. The wall of Gibsons is impressive and daunting. Everyone was super nice and even though I left without buying anything they tried giving me a shirt :)Fabulous.

I came in a couple of weeks ago to try out electric basses. I am an upright bassist and new to electric so I wanted to try everything! The sales person was not busy, so spent at least an hour with me letting me get the feel of a wide variety of instruments. As a professional musician, I was grateful for the time, attention and respect. Today is my birthday, I think I will treat myself to another visit to Replay!!! Bravo guys!!!

Ive been going to Kent for 30 plus years from Thoroughbred to Legends to Replay he always has great stock and some off the wall stuff too...which I appreciate..not everybody wants an R9! Friendly staff...Best store in the bay area...Only L.A., Chicago, and N.Y. have better stores..but you will pay a premium in those states. Guitar buying in the south is still has a little bit of the wild west in it...so deals can be had

Seemed like they didnt want me playing their guitars or touching anything (Im a decent musician and was simply browsing). I get that its busy but that doesnt mean you rush your customers or deny them when wanting to play something. Ive bought many things from here and have always had a great experience but when I walked in this time they literally wouldnt let me plug up to an amp that I was ready to buy. Claiming there were too many people. They have loads of practice rooms in the back, if Im about to drop $200+ on an amp, I should be able to play on it before buying. They try to make you feel better by saying theres a 14 day return period... I dont want to buy something that I havent tried, take it home, then bring it back when I could literally decide in the store. This place is hit or miss. The guy that manages the acoustic room is not friendly and quite frankly tries to rush you out of there. Starts asking if Im going to buy something before I even play it so he knows if Im worth his time... like dude Im not sure I need to play on it and feel it out. Disappointing as I do really like their selection. Service is questionable. What a shame.

What a cool store. Amazing selection of new and used electric, acoustic, and bass guitars. Most are easily accessible and ready to play. The store is well laid out and easy to navigate and they also have private practice rooms where they offer lessons. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful but never pushy. They offer to take your used instrument on trade and I will be headed back to trade in my Epiphone for one of the new guitars I was drooling on.

The location is so much larger than I ever dreamed the guitars are so beautiful plenty of different supplies for anybody that plays guitar.my grandson bought a guitar, very happy that I took him there will be back to purchase some other things this place is beautiful and plenty of selection on everything...

My husband and I went for a meeting and greet and private guitar lesson from Michael Angelo Batio. It was incredible. First of all, Michael Angelo Batio is an incredible guitarist as well as a truly nice down to earth person. He also played a few songs including a song using his signature double necked guitar which was amazing. The meet and greet was professionally done and I would go here for this anytime. Also, they have a ton of guitars to buy so if you want a guitar, the selection is the best I have ever seen!

Went in completely down on my luck and just to get strings so i could self teach myself how to play a guitar got offered help to put them in until they found out i only had a few bucks..... Now i wish i would have saved my money because all i did was waste the little i had since i broke 2 strings... Honestly were has humanity gone and acts of kindness

Went today 4/6/19 drove from Orlando maybe to buy a Les Paul. Very disappointed. Great selection of guitars but all behind a counter where an employee has to get for you . Guy that handed me the guitar I asked for acted as though I had to qualify to try out the guitar. Im a 55 your old man with the cash in hand to buy. Left empty handed.

Not military friendly--will ship all over US, but wont consider shipping to military APO, even though its a domestic US address/rates. Strange policies from a business that services an area with a large local military population. Also strange to alienate the 450K active military serving overseas, approx 80% of which are males between the ages of 20-45--a significant overlap with the target demographic for electric guitars and basses...

I have traveled a good bit of the US in the last year and I seek out the independent music stores.Replay Guitar Exchange has the most impressive inventory of new Gibson and Fender guitars I have ever seen. Amazing store and knowledgeable staff.Part Two - I visited Replay again this week. Same great gear, same great staff.But this time, right there on the wall, was a mint version of the first guitar I ever owned that I could actually play. An Epiphone FT-130 from the seventies.I had to have it and Matt Swenson hooked me up.Fair price and free shipping. I got it today and its a blast from my own past. The packing was more than adequate and every thing is fine.Thanks Matt, Ill be back!!!

I really dont understand why your sales associates treat people the way that they do I came in again today for the second time ever only to give you guys another shot but I was again told that I was not allowed to check out an expensive guitar in the $1,500 price range unless I intended to buy it today now how am I supposed to know if I want to buy guitar if I cant even play the damn thing furthermore the last time I was in there and I was checking out a guitar the same sales associate the big tall bald guy that works in acoustics told me that I had to stop playing and put a guitar up unless I intended to buy it after about 5 minutes I really dont understand how this is conducive to business and I really dont appreciate being made to feel like Im treated like a child while Im in your store I am a military veteran and a grown man and I really dont understand why your sales associates act the way they do specifically your big tall bald guy that works in acoustics

It was filthy and it was going to be the first time I ever had anybody set it up properly.When I got it back my mind was blown. It felt like a brand new guitar. Before Charlie worked on it the action was pretty low... low enough that it was usually the first thing people noticed when they played it. After the set-up its even lower with no buzz! I didnt think it was possible to get the action lower but somehow Charlie managed. It stays in tune for dayyyys now, too! Couldnt be happier.Charlie is a PRO.Thank you!
