SCAM. Sales person called, talked to a TEMP working in our building and somehow conned him into ordering lights under our company (these people are slick and make it seem like theyre sending everything out for free). We received the lights and an invoice for $600. I emailed a rep and got extremely rude responses, almost like a hormonal 12 year old was repping their company. I did end up getting a return label from them after several snotty emails. From reading reviews, were one of the lucky ones that didnt actually get stuck with $600 bulbs that wont even work in our building.

I normally dont write bad reviews, but this is a scam.I got called by a salesman. I told them we didnt have a need for lights but the salesman said hed send me a catalog and lights and a cooler. I again told him I didnt have a need for the lights and cooler, but Id be happy to look at the catalog. He made it seem like the lights were free and that hed throw those in with the catalog. We received a bill dated 3 weeks before receiving it and the bill was for $450 and a late charge of $35 after 30 days.After looking into this company, every 5 star review is either from an employee or person whove only ever given 1 or 2 reviews. Every other review was a person who got scammed. Its sad that this happens and I hope this company fails. If they did honest work, I may have ordered lights from them and worked with them, but they dont do honest work.Be careful of their scam, they send the invoice separately from the lights because they know some people wont catch it.

Dude called and posed as our supplier for light bulbs, sent us a box of bulbs that dont fit any of our sockets. So now we have a box of overpriced bulbs sitting in our stock room, but Ill give them one star (because I cant give them less) because the did send a cooler like they said they would, however its not exactly a 20 Qt YETI like dude said.

Get a name of a supervisor and hang up.They then ship off a box of bulbs for $600 and hope you dont notice.If you do, and questions they will stall sending you back a return slip until your account suddenly goes into collections.They will prey upon any weaknesses in order to screw you or your business over. So pushy and rude I was honestly shocked. Caller wanted my HOME address even though she called a business, and had simply asked for purchasing - that right there was such a major red flag. SO so sketchy.Reception will never let this company through again. Tried to get me to make a purchase of light bulbs so they could send out a promotional item, wouldnt relent when I told her we didnt need any at present, so switched to trying to get me to buy trash bags. Told me I just needed to make a small purchase to get the tote bag. I told her I was not going to make a purchase we didnt need just to get a free item. She told me shed have to catch me on the next promotion. I would never do business with this company.

Have always had excellent service with this company. always receive my merchandise in a timely fashion and never have an issue with the reliability of the product. excellent warranty and very friendly customer service. I believe anyone that needs bulbs for a great price should contact clc.

Same scam as what the others have been. Got a call from a member stating that wed done regular business with them and placed an order of bulbs. We are not regular customers, especially from Tampa Florida. Also, when the box of bulbs arrived you could hear the broken glass because when they shipped it, it was in a large box with lots of room and NO packaging to protect it. Called customer service and got a return label sent to me from their corporate branch.

SCAMMERS!Jen the Chemical and Lighting Girl calls me and delivers a couple of super lame lines acting like we are buddies from way back. We just want to ship you a catalog and a free cooler, do you want red or blue? In closing she says that she has me down for 4 foot bulbs. OK, that just went from a free catalog to an order? Well its a promotion was her response. RUN from these people.

SCAM. Called my job today and I answered. A woman named Amanda said she needed to speak with my GM right away and was pushing for information, including his PERSONAL cell number... She made it sound very urgent/time sensitive as well. When I answered her question about what his name is, she said oh thats right, Ive spoken to ____ in the past, he knows who I am. Just say its Amanda calling Which must be scripted because I have read other reviews stating very similar experiences. Once she started her sales pitch we realized what this was and hung up. BEWARE.

No stars for this company if I had a choice. We ordered 3 ballasts and the total cost was $240.72. I went on line and found the exact same 3 ballasts for $39.72. When I tried calling the office number on the invoice, I would press the appropriate extension and would immediately be disconnected.

Tried sending a promotion of a free cooler. Then he said hell be sending me a package of lightbulbs that I never asked for. Something seemed really fishy since I had never heard of this Commercial Lighting Company. So I told him, dont send the cooler, dont send lights. Looked them up and sure enough, scam company. Leaving a review in case we see these lights at my work then I can document that we never ordered them. Nice try.

This company is a scam. They called asked for our maintenance employee and sent us lights costing $534.25. Never asked to order, but they preyed on people who do not know any better. Hang-up as soon as you hear their name.

If there was any way that I could give these monkeys ZERO stars I would. Absolutely avoid this company at all costs! They use bait and switch sales tactics to say that they are sending you a free gift basket and then include a box of useless light bulbs. After which, they send you an invoice for $200 to pay for the light bulbs and say that if you dont pay they will send the invoice to collections and ruin your credit. If you get a call from these guys absolutely do not call back or you may just receive an unexpected box of useless light bulbs in the mail!! I will also be reporting them to the BBB.

Scamers.Worked there a few years ago until I found out that it was a scam.They try calling your company and telling you they are your lighting company.They offer who ever answers the phone a kick back and tells them that they will send what ever they are offering at the time that they will send it to your home ( so your company never knows about the kick back).Beware and stay away from this company.1.99 light bulbs will cost you about $14 each plus over priced shipping and handling.Just beware !!!!!ALL the 5 stars on here are posted from the company there self.Its a condition for working there.......

These people are idiots. They call me several times a year trying to sell me bulbs or promising something for free. Plus if you look at the people who gave them 5 stars on their review, they are magically from the same city as the company. HMMM I wonder if theywork there?

Absolute Scammers! Called my business and talked to one of my shop technicians. Said that they wanted to quote us on light bulbs for the shop. My technician told them to send us a price list. What we received instead was 30 bulbs for $532.80 and $48.16 shipping for a total of $580.96. You can buy these same 30 bulbs at any retail store for $110. We never ordered these bulbs and do not want them. Their invoice that came in the mail later claims that I must pay a 25% restocking fee and return the bulbs by freight. I told them to send a call tag or they were not coming back. Complete scam. Unbelievable!!

Talked about a free cooler, prying for a home address, and then baits you into a purchase of some type of bulbs that are about 10x more expensive than I can buy them for locally. Yep all these reviews are correct - They will call you posing as your current provider, then as long as they verify your address and have anyone in your companys first name, they will send you a box of ordinary light bulbs with an invoice for hundreds of dollars. They also used their go-to cooler promotion on me, where they want your address to send you a free cooler with merch inside (even asking your home address, saying how lucky you will be, getting this delivered to your home address and you wont have to share with anyone else).The guy went on and on in a very syrupy sweet voice about how their technicians will deliver the bulbs and even install them. He said (with out me even saying a word about ordering what he was offering) to just make sure to have the technicians take a Sharpie and write the installation date on a small hidden part of the bulb so wed know when to start the warranty.. how could he just make call after call like this, blatantly lying and going on and on?? Just the sheer energy that would take! The bulbs arent delivered by them, duh they are in Florida and we are in Austin, TX. They are dropped off by FedEx and if you arent there to refuse the package, you are screwed!Im sorry I ever let him say a word. I just hope that other prospective victims will Google the company name before giving them ANY information at all.

Received a call from them in 2015 pretending that we needed a reorder of light bulbs. I never agreed to purchase anything and I the lady got my first name from when I answered the phone and shipped us light bulbs. we sent them back and were not charged. This place is a scam. They called and asked for a purchase order and guaranteed their prices would be lower. When we asked the price, they were about 4 times higher than I can get them at Home Depot! We told the guy we didnt want to order and he said, Ok, Ill put you down for 15 and then hung up!I called the company back to make sure they werent shipping us anything and was transferred 3 times. The last guy I talked to said their Quality Control Dept. would review the phone call before shipping our order. I obviously dont believe them.If an order shows up, well refuse it. Just received a call from this company and a guy named Devin. They said they were our lighting company which was false. Then they want to send a free cooler out, I asked what needed to be purchased and he said nothing. That was a lie as well. After Devin tried to push 5 different types of bulbs I told him for the 5th time we did not need any lights and we do not need the cooler if something needs to be purchased. We did not agree to have anything sent and there was no way I was giving them my home address. We shall see if they try and send us lights. We will gladly deny the shipment. Dont lie to me, especially when I directly ask you what needs to be purchased, and dont tell me you already provide lighting for our company when we have never done business.

Our business here in Huntington Beach received a cold call from this company today at 12:35 pm Pacific time and he was so rude! Demanding to talk to whomever was in charge of maintenance and when questioned further to see what the call was about he continued to respond with rude clipped impatient answers. When it finally came out that he wanted to talk to who was in charge of ordering light bulbs and was informed we ordered thru Staples he hung up! The worst customer service ever!I called the number back and filed a complaint to a nice lady on the phone who said she would place us on the do not call list. She was very apologetic and it wasnt even her fault. This company should fire that guy and have her doing the cold calls.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.We purchased lighting equipment from this company in 2015. We sent a check and thought it was all finished.They contacted us a year later requesting payment, stating that they didnt receive payment.We put a stop payment and sent another check to the address they provided.Again, they did not receive the check, despite us sending it to the correct address. We put another stop payment on the check and wrote another one.They call us 1 month later stating that they didnt receive payment. I called the bank and the check cleared. I call them and now they are asking us to send proof that the check cleared.Their administration is TERRIBLE. Very bad business practices. The record keeping is embarrassingly unprofessional.There are many other companies that you can use where you wont have to go through this mess. What a terrible annoyance.

A sales representative REPEATEDLY called our organization attempting to get the name of maintenance to send a catalog. On the last call I told him we do not order our lighting from you and do not want your catalog. He said okay..laughed and hung up.

I would not recommend doing business with this company. I was called by a very pushy saleswoman trying to sell me bulbs I didnt need while offering a free promotional cooler. I called her back with a small order of bulbs I needed as a way to test the water with them (and to get the free cooler, why not eh?). I asked what brand they would be and she said it was their brand, CLC, but it still didnt make sense that they were over $12 each. The bulbs arrived and it was a brand that sold online for $4-$5 each. Their justification for overpricing them is a 6yr warranty that they honor for each bulb. I asked to return them but was counter offered with a new invoice that charged fair value. Ive had to call back multiple times for this adjusted invoice while the overcharged invoice sits in my accounting department for weeks. Looking back at my dealings with CLC, I wouldnt expect a company as shawty as this to honor any sort of warranty. BUYER BEWARE!!! Btw the promotional cooler never arrived...

This company kept calling me for lighting needs and trash bags explained i was a one man company i work out of my home and had no need for their services, after months of calling and me telling them this he offered me a picnic basket as a we are sorry for calling gift i agreed to give them the address along came a case of trash bags that i didnt order when i tried to return them because i didnt order them i was told they were going to start litigations against me for 277.57 cents plus fees! i told them this box is still in my office un opened and i wanted the return authorization to return them the collector got angry with me because i told him i was going to enclose a note telling him to shove them up his ass.. he said see ya in court. I NEVER ORDERED THIS CRAP AND DO NOT WANT IT !!! complete scam artists!!

Repeatedly calls my business and when I ask why they are calling, they hang up. Ive called back several time to speak with the person who called, but get placed on hold for over 10 minutes before the line disconnects. Obviously this company is running some sort of scam. Not sure what their game is, but Im alerting the Bureau of Consumer Protection with the FTC.
