Ive been o Vals several times and always had a pleasant experience. Im not a crafty person so a lot of the things there are beyond my expertise in being able to use for decorations. I do love that they have several sizes of the glazed terracotta plant saucers. Granted the plant saucers are all the same color but who cares you can get them in different sizes and they work just great! I have also been able to find planter stands and different pot sizes that you cant get at Home Depot or anywhere else they sell terracotta planters. The folks are nice and helpful when needed.

Good selection of decor, they have a little bit of everything. Staff is not so friendly i must say...(they dont greet you when you come in or acknowledge you) but other than that if you dont care for customer service like I do, I would recommend.

This store is always full of treasures! Everything from basket and vases, to beautiful silk flowers, to unique holiday items, there is something for everyone. Prices are good and staff is helpful. The in-store displays are ever-changing and always a great source of inspiration. If youre looking for a different experience than a typical big-box store, check out Vals!

The first place I visit when I need home decor. The displays are always so perfect and inspirational. Constant new items and the employees are really really nice and helpful. Id rather this decor store over them all!

Decorative stuff for the home

I returned today after having been away for a while. It appears that there may be a new owner. They did have beautiful Christmas decorations galore; but. Not as many dealsas before.The entrance to the store is parallel to Gunn Highway. The signs are everywhere. 12/1/2020If you love a great deal, Vals will not let you down. What-nots, silk & beautiful artificial & decor. Great place to visit.

I went shopping here for the first time last month in search of silk flowers and vase fillers for my sons upcoming wedding. (I am the mother of the groom and I was responsible for the rehearsal luncheon and decorating the venue) I had NEVER created a floral arrangement, EVER, so I had A LOT of questions and needed A LOT of assistance!! Both the front desk associate as well as the floral design lady spent so much time helping me search for flowers! The only source of guidelines we had was a color wheel that my daughter-in-law had given to me which provided the BEAUTIFUL Fall colors she wanted for her SPECIAL day! The floral arrangements turned out SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!! I cannot say enough GREAT things about the quality of flowers, but most importantly, the level of assistance I received from both of these ladies was OVER AND ABOVE what I ever expected!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VALS and I will definitely be returning!!

Customer service was great, but low prices? Theyre pretty standard for other places that sell the same stuff.

Hidden gem...I live in Carrollwood and looked all over for the perfect vase for my sunflowers...after 6 different stores from Tampa to Plant City...and found it here, for less than 1/2 the price of the others!

Great place to pick up inexpensive home decor

Stopped in while in the area...the place is huge and it has a large variety of items from wreaths to silk flower arrangements to clay pots...Halloween decorations and Christmas decorations...I did not buy anything because I just wanted to look...but I will stop back in again and most likely purchased something before Christmas. The prices seemed a little high for some items but Im sure they have a high rent or mortgage on that huge building and they have to pay for the overhead.

They had large outside plant pots for a 3rd of the cost of the other places.

Vals is a wonderful surprise!!!Seen it before in passing and finally stopped in . . .Definelty one of the BEST unexpected surprised Ive had in a long time! Soo much more than imagined.A Tampanian yet who doesnt frequent this side often had never had one speak of. Ill be telling many. Into decor, have an appreciation for eclecticism, and ever wondered about this store - STOP IN!!!!*I wont spoil the surprise here.But, this Buddha was EVERYTHING!

Went to return one of the items I bought yesterday. Manager was out to lunch sales person did not have authority to do returns why? If a customer comes to your establishment and drives from another part of town why would you make them spend gas and time to return later I’ve never heard of such from any other retailer it is so inconsiderate why not train someone to do returns as well and not just managers. Really upset that I have to spend my gas and time to come back later or tomorrow.

Some great decoration and craft items to be found here. The prices have risen. I found this place because of the low prices and ability to decorate my bachelor apartment for cheap. Now the prices have risen into the high price range and I rarely buy from here. Still great stuff, not so great prices anymore.

Easy to find. GREAT eveyday home decor at reasonable prices. Some very unusual finds. Lots of fun holiday decorations. Tons of silk plants and flowers. They are very realistic with many many choices. Also large to small ceramic plant pots. Some styles ate very modern. Great place to shop for the home.

Prices are usually a bit lower here. I came for an outdoor patio planter but due to Covid, their selection was dissapointing. They always have great selection of florals.

Very pretty inside. Clean and calm atmosphere, staff was very friendly and was in store close to a hour was asked twice if i needed help. Prices where high for my liking, however they had a very large selection of clearance and sale items on back wall.

I had not been here before and my mom wanted to check it out. I cannot believe I never really had paid attention to it despite passing it numerous times in my car.They had something for pretty much anybodys taste. I easily could spend hundreds of dollars here redecorating my house. There was so much more there than many similar stores I have visited.I give Vals a resounding endorsement and would not hesitate to go back when my house decor needs updating.

Vals is great! they have a really wide selection of things! I sometimes need props and set pieces for theater productions, and if I cant find it anywhere else, I can find it at Vals! My only thing is the prices- they are fairly good, I just there were slightly more cost efficient choices. But excellent service, will be going again!

Im all for supporting local businesses, but Vals Home Decor is not one that I can stand behind. I think they have one of the worst return policies of any store Ive ever done business with. And, they dont print their policy on their receipts. Everything is in their favor. First, if you dont return the merchandise within 7 days of purchase, you will NOT get a refund. From 8 - 14 days, you can only get a store credit. Anything after 14 days, you are just out of luck. If you live next door to them, this policy is not a big deal. But, when you live 30 miles away like I do, you can get burned - frequently. So, if you buy something there - and its not cheap - make sure you like it because you most likely will never get your money back. I, personally, am done. I will stick with the box stores or online stores where the return policy is more reasonable.

Awesome! As a local florist I buy tons of great things from Vals Basket Warehouse. Great place for all kinds of Decor and More. It may not be the right color, but I can change that. Vals is one of the best places to find great bargains and always smiling help. Its a must!

Vals is great. i convinced my boyfriend to let me redecorate the place once we moved in together and he gave me a conservative budget. I needed to make it all come together on a budget. Vals prices were good and allowed me to get some pieces that made the whole house come together.

I have shopped with Vals for many years. As a Designer I use this location as a venue for finding Realistic Priced merchandise that I can use in conjunction with more costly items to make a complete environment.Some would say those are fillers .I tend to chose a different route:Vals has great pots/planters for me to then put high quality silk trees in (both interior & exterior).Large Estate Mirrors are another item I have found they showcase from time to time for a great price.When it comes to Silk flowers Vals has some of the better cost efficient Florals in the Tampa area. They also have a wide variety of Holiday decorations. I almost yearly stop in to procure something during the holidays to add to my collection.

The quality of their silk greenery and flowers is very good and Ive never been disappointed with a purchase. I gave just 3 stars for 2 reasons. First, some items are not logically displayed. For example I was looking for tropical leaves which I would think would be near the palm trees but nope finally found them near cotton and pine cones. Second, it was difficult to find someone to help. And once I did they had difficulty finding things as well. It wasnt a bad experience just not a 5 star experience.
