Convenient location but a little on the pricey side.

Stay away from this place, they add ground meat to the meat you order before they weight it to charge you more. Go to Loco Supermarket instead. I used to buy meat there all the time

They should change the name since it is a small supermarket that offers a variety of that can be cut to your liking. You will also find that it is a Spanish bodega that also sell food. All the workers are pleasant and will treat you well, of you dont understand the label you should as for assistance from one of the employees. It is a clean place that offers a variety of a Spanish goods. The foo is also good

I found my favorite turrones here. Made my Christmas very bright and reminded me of places my Cuban grandfather would take me as a child.

They used to have the cheapest prices, but they have gone up alot. Its a clean place and the butchers work as quickly as they can. Its okay

I especially like to shop for my meat there. It is always fresh due to the high volume of customer purchasing from them. Prices are cheaper than anywhere else. Very good place to who groceries.

Bad service staff are very unfriendly. I went to purchase rice and they had a sale sign but the sale was no longer going on instead of honoring the price they said no we forgot to take it off and refuse to honor it thats very bad customer service . Publix will never treat customers like that.

So I bought a sealed cheese, opened it and tried it out 6 days later (still good according to expiration date), but it had a bad taste. Went back to the store but couldn’t return it or exchange it because it had passed 24 hours since purchase date. Seriously? They should have accepted it and dealt with their supplier. We used to go there every week; but like others say, typical Latin American place, where the customer is NOT always right... There are several latin supermarkets around, I suggest if you are reading this go and try a different one. They all carry pretty much the same brands anyway.

Dirty place. Overpriced produce. Typical latin store. No customer service. Annoying music ALL the time. .they think everyone liked their music. And do not dare to return something. They gave my mother a hard time for $2.69 return. I visit the store twice a year for only one product that I have not made an effort to find somewhere else. .

This place has been here as long as I can remember Im from the neighborhood by live in St Pete now and I specifically make drives here just to get South American Products set I love and cant get in St Pete. I would have gave you space 5 stars but they dont have guacamole, and no one speaks English. I personally dont care but I cant send my English-speaking girlfriend.

Excellent quality of meats...beef, pork and chicken, with phenomenal prices. Their service is top-notch, and they are ALWAYS willing to butterfly, trim, chop and fillet to order, and also grind their meats, weather beef or chicken right in front of you! Even if you have large-order requirements because, like me, you prefer to buy enough for a couple weeks in advance, they have NO PROBLEM splitting orders into separate bags, so you can just pop them in your freezer, and pull-out a couple days worth of say butterflied chicken without having to go to the trouble of re-bagging it yourself! And again, they do this all with a smile!After your first few trips there, so you can be certain of the, Lay of the land, I suggest you take advantage of their phone-order option, so you can phone it in advance, then simply walk up to the extreme right side of the counter (where employees are always walking to and from the back room), and pick-up your custom order without needing to wait anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes because you have 12 -15 people ahead of you! This is a GREAT time saver, and they usually can have the order ready within 1 or 2 hours from the time you call it in (but I try to give them 3 hours minimum in advance, because they are so busy...and theyre so busy because theyre so good!)!My ONLY PROBLEM at EL GRANDE is NOT with ANY employees, its with the CUSTOMERS! For all this excellent, personal service, Ive NEVER seen ONE SINGLE CUSTOMER TIP the clerks who take such good care of them! Ive seen people buy over $100 in CUSTOM meat orders, without even so much as saying, Thank-You, or, Gracias! If you have seen how hard these people work, and appreciate it, simply GIVE them a couple dollars as a GRATUITY...they are young, and many have kids to feed at home, so TIP the PEOPLE WHO TAKE CARE OF YOU! If EVERYONE gave them a dollar or two, that would make a MAJOR impact on their lives, and the lives of their FAMILIES! JUST DO IT!

I can find a grand variety of Spanish products in here. I travel almost an hour from home 2 or 3 times a month, thats how much I like it. A nice grocery store, fresh meat in the butchers section, fresh produce at a good price, and friendly employees!

My experience was great. I was able to find everything I was looking to prepare my Puerto Rican dinner. The cashier and the butchers were really nice and helpful. If you are looking for a real Hispanic bodega and meat market, this place is recommended. But, If you are intereted in a fancy experience, with red carpet and luxury, then you should go somewhere else.

From 2004 to 2016 I lived in Town and country always went there for must of my food supplys there were no other place better than that to get meat vegetables and a lot of items and fresh also the guys in the meat Dept very nice and fast the girls at the register always welcome you and treat you very nice and with a smile now in 2016 I moved to Temple terrace and there is no place here like El grande no way .whenever I have the chance to go to town and country Ill stop there and get what I like when I get home my family dont have to ask me where I was they tell me Grande ahhh the best

Very clean and well organized place. Size is pretty good and like most Latin markets. If you are looking for something like a Publix or Walmart supercenter size then you wouldnt like it. I personally think the size is great and they have a nice variety of Latin products from Latin countries that you wont find in the Hispanic section of Walmart.
