Pet friendly 🐕The man who was running this place last is a Peach. We told him that we have only been here for a about a month. We told him we are looking for a local businesses to explore .He told me about a lot of places we should go. He was very friendly it was nice getting to know him a little.The store has some places were it might be tight for a person in a wheelchair to get by. Good prices we picked up some drinks and candy here with the kiddos. The store is clean.They had fresh looking groceries. I was stunned at all the items they carry. Outside setting is available

This place is fantastic. We came here to check the new cafe that opened inside of Duckweed, Farmacy Vegan Kitchen. Both of these places are fantastic! Great local options.

Very trendy, pretty, and unique items. My daughter enjoyed the free cheese tastings. Their displays are so classy. Found some very cool things to buy to take back home as gifts. Wish I could shop here every week.

Fantastic! They have the best selections of foods, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and fresh meats. Even the staffs were very accommodating, nice, and helpful. Also, I liked this store a lot because they have a clean and comfortable surrounding that was very good to walk in and out. Also, the entire store was secured with CCTV that was safe to visit. Its always great to find a vegan restaurant. Not many options but the vegan burger was tasty. The place is inside a store so its not alot of seating. Overall great place

This little grocery store is on the first floor of my building, Element Tampa. I am so lucky that this store is so close. They have everything you could want, whether you just need a few items or a weeks worth of shopping. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I’m in here at least twice a week and I love it.

Great place to grab some wine and food.

I will not ever recommend this place. My first experience was when i walked to the secondary store with vodka tequila there was an employee crying at the register on her phone. Second experience there are two employees behind the register gossiping and not paying attention to customers another thing an employee not smiling miserable serving the general public . Duckweed do us favor train your employeesp right this is no publix where u need two employees behind a counter when ask to get liqour u can attitude. Why do i have to walk to the grocery portion and ask to be helped someone should be there at all times. This place needs to be micro managed. This is a cute hipster shop that can do well but there a couple of bad seeds that ruin it for the rest. Please bring back the old staff

I visited this grocery store few days back and i can say that it is one of the best grocery store in Florida. I brought Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup and Iberia Yellow Rice, plus there are many food products and soft drinks available here. Nice place for buying food & grocery products!

This store picks and chooses their customers. If you have a Military background or Church affiliation, do not visit this location.

This is an interesting grocery store. In that, youll find some cool things. But its really hard to predict what kind of things youll find. I had a hard time seeing it as a grocery store. But then, I dont know what Id call it otherwise. It was almost like a very, very fancy gas station store. If that means anything.Attached to this is a vegan bakery/smoothie place. That was pretty good.

If you want to over pay for alcohol then this is the place to go to. 13 bucks for a six pack of beer when you get can get a 12 pack for the same price at the gas station down the street. Yeah, the staff is cool and you can find some cool things here but their prices are outrageous. Theres a difference between being a convenience store and charging a little more and just outright charging outrageous amounts. Skip this place, all theyre doing is ripping people off.

Cute and convenient grocery store! I like all the vegan, gluten free options available. I want to try something new every time I’m there. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with their sour gummy worms and the “box of balls” protein snacks. Their alcohol is a little more expensive than what you would get at Publix but they’re a mom and pop shop so that’s expected We buy most of our alcohol from them because it’s right next door to where we live and the price difference is insignificant.

Worst customer service ever. They never acknowledge the customer or say hi or thank you. Take your business somewhere else.

Unique products, many of them local and nice people. The locally made sourdough bread was absolutely out-of-this-world amazing. If I get to Tampa again Im going to load up on that stuff and fill my freezer with it. My favorite thing was the completely vegan food at Farmacy vegan kitchen + bakery. Every single item of food purchased there was fantastic!!! Super nice people running that establishment too.

Right when you walk in you can tell that you are in a very unique special place from the local makers of delightful unique products and Foods.. the widest variety Ive seen yet ...fresh beautiful produce, Artisan chocolates, things for your pets things for any occasion and totally unique even their card and delightful collectible section! Small grocery next to a coffee shop. They have a good selection of food, snacks, beer, and high quality chocolates. Theres a little cafe in there as well for breakfast and lunch.

One of my favorite places in Tampa. A little of everything and almost all of it is healthy and natural. Like Whole Foods but not weird and smelling of kale and lost dreams. They also feature lots of local vendors and restaurants. Check the Farmacy for something tasty and nutritious!

Excellent selection of healthy food and snacks. Organic, gluten free, paleo diets will have plenty of choices. Good craft beer selection, gourmet cheeses, healthy prepared meals. And...super friendly staff!

Good neighborhood place with a lot of locally sourced goods, smaller amount of name brand items. Has a lot of stuff youd see at Whole Foods. Produce section available. Prepared fresh sushi plates available. Organic rotisserie chicken. Prepared local sourced meal kits available, like at MyFitFoods, Snap Kitchen, etc. Lots of small label wines and beers.

A nice selection for a small store, however, a lot of their beer was expired (some over a year) and the fancy looking chocolates (I bought 5), were really not good. I was happy to support a local chocolatier, but they were chemically and many a little waxy :(Also, not surprisingly, this place is not cheap!Friendly staff and I enjoyed my food from Farmacy.

Unique finds and some really interesting sauces worthy of trying. Prices a little on the high end for the ready to eat meals, salads etc. Really nice cashier.

For the most part it’s a good market. However, their produce is questionable at best as they don’t rotate out old items. Purchased spring mix in a rush and got home to find out the “Use By” date was 2 days prior. It was slimy to the touch.

*Updated review as of September 19* The ownership may have changed hands, because there are many different things going on. The staff are still extremely friendly, but the taco place is now a Farmacy which serves food, not to be confused with a pharmacy. The prices are high here, but I find myself there almost every day. Seems like they are trying to keep up with an endlessly rotating inventory, so prices on items are not always in the right spot. They are much better than they were a while ago however. There is a new liquor store attached, (well, Florida legal style attached) Staff again, awesome people... One thing though, some piece of machinery is making an awful smell. Dont let the smell discourage you, the food and produce are very fresh. At least what I buy is always incredibly fresh. 5 stars if prices were lower, and that smell were gone.

I purchased a couple marinated chicken breasts and they were fantastic. Great flavor and they pounded them flat for even cooking. Very tasty. The other fresh meats looked equally delicious. Ill echo the previous review - the fresh veggies were lacking. Went for some asparagus and it was pitiful, limp, soft. Did grab a couple potatoes instead. Was impressed with all the fresh milk and dairy stuff. Ive never had fresh non-pasteurized milk.Overall, the market was great - had any item you might realize you forgot from your regularly scheduled grocery trip. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Small selection of wine. Nice deli. Probably not a place Ill go back to often, if at all, just due to the location. But would definitely recommend it to someone that lives downtown and doesnt want to make the trek to a Publix.

Hipster/Urban style grocery store with a selection of many unique items you just cannot find at mainstream style stores.Although small in stature, Duckweed has the place jammed packed with healthy options to fill you fridge with. Although not cheap by any stretch of the imagination it is convenient. A nice place to drop in and grab healthy lunch options.They have beer/wine a deli section and now, a chocolatier.

Double price of local grocers. Price wasnt listed on shelf so i asked person at counter to check. When i found out it was twice as much as place i stopped at last night, i put item back. I then grabbed a drink out of cooler, because i dont feel right not buying something. The person behind counter said, after she gave me total and charged my card, are you sure you dont want to put that back? RUDE. I was astonished someone would talk to a customer in a condescending tone like that. I was speechless. However, would i have handed you the drink and my debit card together if i was planning on putting it back? If you would have askedf me that prior to charging my card, i would have walked out. My advice, shop elsewhere.

Very little has prices marked. Was charged different amounts for the same items on two visits within a 3-day span. Also charging incorrect sales tax, according to what I was told the “price” was. Friendly staff during the day, avoid late at night.

I love this Duckweed Urban grocery its a one stop store. They have a wide variety of wines and gourmet that even the hard to find items they have it all. They also have a lot item on sale.. So hurry up!! Buy here!!

Do NOT go before 8:30 am despite their door sign indicating they open at 8 am, or 7 am according to the online listing. My office is walking distance, and at least twice a week I head back empty handed because the store is not open by their advertised time. A new breakfast spot is needed (and fortunately being constructed).

Sandwich/deli counter has delicious vegetarian options with cool biodegradable containers. Also, check out clerk went above and beyond to make sure one of the drinks I was purchasing was safe (he remembered seeing something on the news about this particular brand and went online to make sure).

Great place to shop for last minute needs living here in Channelside. There is always something new and local in here which I love. The prices are a bit high but again this is Channelside! Other than that the place is super cute, clean and always has someone friendly there!

My co worker bought 2 items and was 79 cents short so I told the cashier I would pay the 79 cents to my items which was 2 items which came out to 3.23 and I was charged 6.54 and she told me that I paid for his and my items that was not fair not professional at all

Tried their new Cafe. Their cuban was excellent and their house made chips are some how crispy and seem like they melt in your mouth at the same time.

An awesome bodega located in the heart of Channelside. They have quite a bit of convenient staples for your everyday needs, and they also carry a great selection of local and craft beer, red and white wines, wine cocktails, sparkling whites, and saki too. Duckweed is the epitomy of the hipster vibe.

Ive witnessed the manager of this store hang up on a customer because of their livelihood or situation, and prevent another person visual priviledge of camere fotage, and get this, the person victimized was or was considered homeless, the manager became happy with a lawyer the second after, I just didnt tell her what my profession was, that wasnt right or humane of her, chances are Ill never shop there again, and neither should anyone who has love and equality at heart for everyone,and not for just $$$OME ...HOW $AD

As a Realtor with Lombardo Real Estate, I actually use this place as a selling point for the apartments in the greater building (The Element). ;) A grocery store just downstairs... You cant beat that!Things are a little pricier here, but first of all... They have a wide variety of great offerings. Secondly, the location is very convenient for downtown. While the Channelside Publix is officially under construction (as of time of writing), weve got a bit of a wait. In the meantime, we have Duckweed Urban Grocery. Besides, you get what you pay for - its a trendy atmosphere, with a clean bathroom and hip artsy decor.

For the simple fact that these guys have kombucha on-tap, like hello, that is an automatic FIVE ***** in my book :)

Don’t expect the hours to be accurate, I went by tonight at 10:50 and the door was locked. Two employees cleaning up. They wont last when Publix and CVS open down the street.

Great place to grab sandwiches and a six pack before heading to Curtis Hixon.

It has a lot of good hard to find items, local goods, organic and things like grass fed beef steaks. however their produce is usually rotting. The little fridge they have smells horrible when you open it and most of the items in the produce area usually have gone bad. I bought 4 ears of corn which were inedible. I brought them back in a plastic bag. They put the plastic bag back on the rest of the rotted corn and it was still sitting there in the bag half peeled corn that I returned. They do have some other great items, but make sure what you are getting is fresh.

Expired Beer with the expiration date smeared off. Bought cucumber beer and it tasted like pickled beer. I checked the expiration date on 10 more 6-packs and they were all expired. A few with the date rubbed off. When I told the clerk at the counter she didnt seem surprised and she didnt remove the expired products.
