We ordered a cake that we were charged $60.19 for and the first picture is of the way we wanted the cake and the second picture is what we received and I paid in advance. We texted the picture of what we wanted to her then my wife talked to the cake decorator after sending her the picture and the decorator agree’d she could do the Mickey cake. I wouldn’t recommend this place to make a cup cake. The last picture is what my 14 year old step son did to fix the cake for his little brother because he was so upset about how terrible the cake we paid $60.19 for. What kind of cake decorator writes the Happy Birthday greeting on the cake plate? We asked for a 1/2 sheet and when does a 1/2 sheet cake come as a cylinder and not a rectangle? I believe The Cake Shop should talk to my step Son and see if he wants to come save their business and come to work for them. If you’re looking for a quality cake and want to be satisfied don’t waste your time or money at The Cake Shop! Please comment on my step Son’s cake and let him know what you think of his cake?

I waited a little later than normal to order my daughters Sweet 16 cake for this past Tuesday, April 13th. But I was able to get a very high quality creation for a very good price. It smelled divine when I got it home and opened the box. The taste was fantastic and it was super moist. The cake was truly a hit with our family and guests. I highly recommend this business for your next event. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a very delicious local cake shop. I have gotten items here several times. All the cakes are pretty, fresh and delicious. We are fortunate to have such a great bakery in our community.

The selection is wonderful and the taste of everything was so amazing and delicious!! We will definitely be back!!! I got 3 types of cheesecake: Peanut butter, Oreo and Guava. Ingot 3 kinds of cake: Peanut butter, Ferrero Rocher and Almond creme. The service was exceptional.

The super best place to have a desert after a heavy food, or a place to have the best cake in the town or to have the best tresleches in the town-- this is the place.Ordered their special best selling tresleches cake in my last visit and i still remembers the taste.

Everything is very, very good. I especially like the chocolate raspberry cake and the lemon cake. Ive tried most over time and there all excellent. Another favorite is the creme Brule, but its hit and miss on availability.

I purchased a two tier cake for a special occasion. I was very disappointed with the outcome. The cake was very dry, the filling was almost invisible and the frosting was too sweet. Most of my guests didnt eat the cake and a few made a few negative comments about the cakes quality. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed. I threw out more than half of the cake.. It wasn’t cheap either at almost $200. Never again.

When i lived in new tampa 3 years ago they had the BEST cake. Drove up there recently for a treat and it was no better than what you find at Publix. Quality has gone WAY down and tasted of pure sugar with very little flavor. Ordered lemon cake, marble cake and coconut cake. All left me very unsatisfied

I love this place, they have some beautiful cakes and good empanadas too!! The service was perfect, very attentive and helpful. Thank you so much for my bday cake it was delicious. I’ll be back for all of my occasions and to try other sweets too ☺️☺️

I am not even exaggerating when I say they literally have the most amazing, out of this world pastries! Like every bite is like biting into heaven and I swear they put angels into the cakes and pastry because they are heavenly great! Hands down my go to place!

The family had a great experience at the cake shop. We got a couple of snacks and a couple of sweets. The empanadas are pretty good in the flan is very good and creamy. Have lots and tons of options that choose from. I actually came upon this place because it is right next to the Firestone complete Auto Care. So while my car was being worked on I stopped in for a bite to eat. Would definitely come back and were definitely recommend a friend or family.

If you like chocolate and coconut you will LOVE their almond joy type cake. This cake is awesome. Chocolate cake with coconut filling, chocolate icing with coconut flakes. It was soooooo good. I will definitely be returning.

Beautiful decor. Pleasant staff. Red velvet cupcakes were moist and savory. I also tried a piece of the birthday cake. The icing was flavorless and the exterior of the slice was hard and dry. I may return for the cupcakes, but I am wary of the high pricing.

Had a lovely small cake from The Cake Shop to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Delicious flavor, buttercream was incredibly smooth and dense, cake was moist and dense, too. Disappointed that the tiers were more frosting than cake, but it was still worth the purchase since everyone loved it.

The place is beautiful. Cakes look great. We got a chocolate cake that looked amazing but not great in taste. The empanada was not good.. And the staff is NOT friendly at all.. I am big on customer service. I believe you can build your business up if you have the right staff. I wanted to love the place because of how nice it looks. But when you walk into a place and all the staff members are looking at you like you interrupted them, they didnt even say hi and no other customers were in the shop, that makes you just want to walk right out the door. Which I would of done but my husband decided to give it a try anyway. Talk to your ladies in the front, maybe some training on customer services will help you keep more customers.

I searched high and low online and off-line until I stumbled upon this place. After checking out their website I saw some amazing works of art, after visit in the shop I was ready to design and order my cake. The atmosphere at the cake shop is warm, welcoming with sights and smells filling your senses and pallet. I had 48 hours to get a cake for my mothers birthday, not just any cake.... The ultimate cake for the ultimate David Bowie fan. When I was working with the baker it was almost effortless for him to understand my idea, I had total faith and knew he could get it done.December 14I arrived at The Cake Shop Wesley Chapel Florida, extremely excited to see and pick up the cake.But,What they brought out was not a cake, it was truly a piece of art!Absolutely blown away. Design was spot on, all the details were there. It was absolutely delicious. Although it was hard cutting into a piece of art. As for my mom, she adored it and enjoyed it , I would like to thank you for helping me give her the best birthday cake she’s ever had!Thank you !ATTENTION!IF you need a cake (or many other amazing delights) get over to the cake shop now!

I had them do a custom cake, was fairly good priced and looked exactly like the picture I gave them. They had two days to make it and man am I so happy of the results and how fast they got it done

Beautiful cakes, desserts and cupcakes. The coconut cake was amazing. Best quality cakes Ive had at a bakery in Florida, and really nice staff. We didnt stay in to eat because my kids are a little too rambunctious for a place decorated so fancy, but they have great packaging so everything came home perfect. We will definitely be back!

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The bakery is a nice atmosphere. The cakes are designed pretty. However, it was disappointing to bite into the cake and the cream was like store bought cream. Thick and strange tasting. I was looking forward to a nice butter cream cake taste. Not good at all. Spent over $40 and had once slice. The rest went into the trash. Disappointing i was really excited to try it. Never buying again.

We have gotten MANY birthday cakes here. They are always gorgeous and delicious. We have gluten intolerances and people can’t even tell they’re gluten free. I don’t think it’s a dedicated gluten free environment, so probably not ideal for true celiac, but it works for us! The kids love the regular cupcakes too.

Ordered my sons birthday cake from The Cake Shop. The bakery stayed in contact with me about the cake. They were very nice. The cake was ready when I went in to pick it up. The cake tasted great.

I cant find words to describe our bad experience, but disgusting! For a $205 engagement cake.

They have the worst principles to run a business. I have been to the store for my wedding cake and was quoted 350. Iwanted to search for other options, but I wanted to go back to them and they increased the price to 450. Just because I came back doesnt mean im in desperate need. And the lady at the counter have no shame in lying to the face.I would never recommend this to anyone.

My husband surprised me with four of their mini cakes and I was honestly DISAPPOINTED! They were decorated cute I will say that. Honestly though the quality of the cake was not there!? All four were kind of dry and tasted like Walmart quality cheap cake 😭! I could have gone to Publix, spent less money and gotten a delicious cake!

Ive only been here once but was left very satisfied from my cravings for some sweets. I had a black forest cake and some macarons. The cake was good. It is a little mushy but very moist, just the way I like it. It was also not overwhelmingly sweet, so I could finish the whole thing without feeling sick. The macarons are a little too soft but the flavors were excellent. Will be coming back for more!

The cake pops are amazing but not always available. The spinach pie was very good. But yes the customer service is not great because they seem busy with their custom orders in the back. I would get a custom order of the cake pops though :)

This is a great dessert shop. Small inside but plenty of seating room to eat inside. Been here several times and never been disappointed. Single size cakes and cheese cake priced right. Plenty of other pasties, turnovers, creme brulee, macarons, this place will not disappoint and will not break your wallet.

The cakes are always so good and the price is right.

Awsome place. Was early morning, getting an alignment on my car next door at the firestone. Super yummy crescent samwich and coffee. The winner was the Orange Baklava. OMG if you love orange then you havent lived until youve tried this delicious treat. Served with a small spoon was a smart idea Caus I totally might have ended up 2 biting it. Friendly owner and elegant atmosphere. A must see gem.

The owner was very pleasant and the store inside is lovely. I’m a dessert junkie and I tried a few things, and the Kit Kat caramel/chocolate cake was pretty good. My favorite of all cakes is usually red velvet but sadly the one I tried here was a bit dry and had virtually no flavor. I’m not sure if the full sized cakes that they have would taste fresher than those that are merely by the slice? Overall, very nice store and employees but I can’t say that the goods knocked my socks off.

I love the peanut butter cake and the coconut cake its my favorite when it is freshly made it is the best, I have had a couple of times where maybe something I ordered was not as fresh but not recently, so these five stars are for my most recent visits there, I have never ordered a cake from there, so I cant speak to that and they have pretty good coffee too. Edit: went today after not being here for a while and got my favorite peanut butter cake, the prices raised from 425 to 5:25 a piece which is understandable in todays economy. However what is not understandable is the fact that my fork broke while Im trying to take a bite because it was frozen solid. The inconsistency of this place is the reason that I dont come in very often so thats why I changed my five star to a 3 star very disappointing

2.5 star: Took a chance after looking at the bad reviews and I must say they are spot on. Chicken empanadas were not remotely fresh. Ordered the tiramisu, ferrero rocher cheese cake, and tres leches, and nothing was worth going back. The quantity might be there but substantially lacks quality. Would not recommend what I tried but maybe others are better.

So, i made a review a few years ago and had a bad experience. I decided to try it again a few weeks ago, and I am glad I did. The cakes and cheese cakes have all been delicious, and the sevice had been very good.

Less than pleasant customer service, dry cupcakes and pastries, and expensive. I can see returning to this bakery if you were treated well as a customer or if the baked goods were something worthwhile, but that’s not the case. We definitely won’t be back!

The owner and his wife a wonderful people they were so nice. The owner made the impossible possible I called him on Thursday to make a cake for my son birthday for Saturday and he did it with no problems he was so nice and understanding I cant thank him enough for the beautiful cake he made for my son

I came in on 12/09/2020. The cannolis I ordered were soggy and old and had a bad aftertaste, I had to spit it out, it was absolutely disgusting. When you visit a cake shop you expect fresh baked goods or pre-make the shells and fill them in, as people order em. This shop should stick to custom cake orders because they are always busy in the back anyways. I visited this shop 3 times before reviewing them

I ordered a birthday cake for my sons 1st birthday. I felt very rushed when ordering and also picking up the cake, even though I was the only customer in there both times. It was last minute and they were able to provide a cake with one days notice, which I did appreciate. However, I was very disappointed with the flavor and quality of the cake (vanilla with vanilla frosting). The cake itself was bland and dense, and the frosting tasted like Crisco and was overly sweet. No one at the party ate more than a couple bites and the kids didnt even like it. We had 1/2 the cake left and just threw it away. For $50 I expected better quality and wouldve been happier with a cake from Publix. Unfortunately, I wont be returning.

Their customer service and willingness to go the extra mile for the customer is always on full display! Great place to meet up for a cup of coffee and a delicious snack! First time going to the cake shop...chicken empanada was moldy on the inside and stale on the outside...birthday cake slice and carrot cake slice were stale, dry, and super sweet. i’ve never reviewed a food place before but we spent a lot of $$ and ended up quite disappointed. be careful if you choose to shop there. the cashier was super polite and nice tho :)

Out of four cupcakes, 3 were amazing. Id stay away from the chocolate ones as when I got home with them, I opened the container and went for the chocolate one which was solid as a rock. Overall, this is not a bad place and I will give it another shot. I just need to be sure to have them check them as Im checking out.

The shop was nicely decorated and the lady who assisted me was very pleasant and helpful. They offer a military discount and I so appreciate companies who honor those in the armed services. However, I bought two cake slices and a cupcake from the display and they were not good. I paid close to $15 and my husband and I threw half the order out. This was my first time coming and will be willing to come back when I can get my moneys worth.

The selections are amazing. I ended up with Tres Leches cake and it is by far the best Ive had. It was rich and overly satisfying. The cake is enough for more than 2 people for $6. Very delicious.

Wow. This place is absolutely amazing. From the beautiful decor and furniture. It’s so well put together! I just love the concept! Don’t get me started on the cake. They have many unique varieties of mini cakes that are just super super delicious. You could also order a regular size cake. To the amazing coffees and cupcakes and cakes and the service was outstanding. They are so friendly and kind. Can’t wait to go back! Totally recommend! : )

July 2019 I ordered a Golden Girls birthday cake. The presentation of the cake was beautiful!! However the cake (not the icing or fondue ) was so dry, we were not able to eat it --Guess we ate half of it. I was extremely disappointed because the cake cost me $90. I chalked it up to maybe it was the photo on top and I really didnt have time to go back and because it served it purpose of making my daughter happy with cake being Golden Girls....2nd chance was yesterday july 18th. I did tell the young woman I hope I have a better experience this year because last years cake was dry. Not one Im sorry to hear that from.here..We purchased 6 pieces of individual cakes, cheesecake and tiramisu. Each cake (not the icing) was so dry no one ate more than half. Maybe not even a 1/4..You know how people will eat something out of politeness verses complaining. That was the look on the guest faces at the party.The tiramisu lady fingers layers were dry because they did not dip in enough espresso flavor.(some portion none at all) Im not one to return half eaten items and request for refunds. However I hope the owners take notice of the multiple complaints of their cakes dryness and make a change so that their cakes can own up to the beautiful elegant decor. Unfortunately I will not return.

Loved this little bakery. We came to pick up a last minute birthday cake, the chocolate caramel was recommended to us (very delicious) and they were able to put some nice writing on the top in seconds. Everything was spotless and the employee was super sweet

Slice of coconut cake was moist and melt in your mouth soft. Not overly iced, right amount of coconut... It was delicious! And my Italian husband really liked the cannoli I brought home for him. The attendant was friendly and the atmosphere is cute. Will be returning for sweet treats in the future!

Ive tried virtually every cake/pastry/cheesecake this shop has to offer and for whatever reason, I keep hoping the next thing I try will be better. Unfortunately, its usually a disappointment. For one, cannolis are my favorite. There are plenty of great cannolis around (and I was hoping this was one of them) but sadly it falls short. They fill a small amount of cream on each side of the cannoli and completely miss the center. Seriously, more than half of the cannoli isnt even filled with cream. I mean come on now, even the cheap bakeries fill their cannolis completely! And they arent long enough to justify the pastry bag not reaching the middle from each end. Second, the red velvet cheesecake is a big miss for me, which is another favorite. It really lacks in flavor and isnt worth the investment. Their plain cheesecake is decent, but good luck finding it available. The chocolate cake has way too much icing which overpowers the flavor of the cake itself (I like icing, but not THAT much). All in all - I really want to love this bakery, especially since its so close to where I live. But after trying nearly every item on the menu without even finding something Im really WOWed with, I dont think Ill be returning.

I stumbled upon this little gem on my search for someone to make a cake for an office party. My expectations were exceeded!!! First of all the atmosphere is delightful, the gentleman who i spoke with was extremely helpful and friendly and i found the cake i was looking for and he customized it for me as well!! The cake was an absolute hit, it lasted ten minutes, it was devoured!!! I definitely recommend visiting for a quick pastry bite or a slice of cake and coffee. I give it a 10!!

You can feel the friendliness of the people who work there. The ambiance is really cozy, you can feel a vintage aura and it also, gives a private feeling since its not as huge.

Mix of staples and unique baked delights. For me, this is a place to try new things and not necessarily the best place for a great cookie or cupcakes. A great cookie or cupcake are among my absolute favorites. Nevertheless, I enjoy coming here and trying something new and delicious.

I went in with an idea in mind for my daughters birthday at her school, they worked with me and we came up with a design that I was very excited to see. My family has enjoyed multiple items from the Cake Shop. We have found all our baked good to be delicious. I purchased a coconut cake for Easter and it was delicious. My family has also enjoyed cookies, brownies, and a cannoli. All delicious!

Stopped in out of curiosity. The store is lovely, but the staff seemed a bit clueless. When inquiring about a cake on display, I was told it was tiramisu. It was definitely not. Ended up getting 2 different cakes. Both were dry and fairly tasteless. Definitely not worth the calories! Their presentation is nice, but it ends there. My curiosity is resolved, unfortunately.

I have an appreciation for their cupcakes; made from scratch and moist, with the perfect bit of filling inside. My favorites are the chocolate and pumpkin. My son had a taste of the spinach pie and I had to return to the shop to purchase 3 more slices :) I recently visited Edisons Food and Drink Lab to taste their chocolate mousse dome and it does not compare to The Cake Shops gourmet mousse cakes. Highly recommend.
