I have to edit this because I was duped until someone else worked on my boat, and I saw what Cracker boy did (or rather, didnt). This is a horrible company. The owner is pleasant enough, but they dont work on your boat. Pretended to change the oil - didnt. Pretended to service the motor - didnt. The only reason I found out is because I had to have someone else do it and the oil was black sludge - this was less than seven months after my maintenance work.I was charged 600 bucks for a refurbished aluminum prop, not including labor. I suspect they spend their time working not on the big boats and ignore the smaller ones. That has been my experience.

Pete is the man! Very honest and very good at what he does. I had a really bad experience with another company. I heard about Pete and took it to him. He had it running perfect the first time he looked at it. Since then Ive taken the boat to him for small issues. One time he told me it was an easy fix and told me how to do it myself. The next time he told me there was no issue at all and sent me away without charging me anything either time. Ill never take my boat anywhere else as long as hes in business.

Highly recommend the service that’s provided here. Pete got my boat in and out in less than a week. Very knowledgeable and cares about the details. More than fair on pricing too. Five stars isn’t enough. Thanks again!

I highly recommend Crackerboy for outboard engine service. Peter also is very knowledgeable regarding electrical issues. He did a great job with my 115 Yamaha and also trouble shooting issues with my 24 volt trolling motor system. He is a pleasure to deal with, and based on the various plaques on the walls of his office, he invests heavily in training and staying current in his craft.

Cracker Boy has the best boat service in town. He is knowledgeable, fair on pricing and extremely helpful.I originally discovered him by doing a google search and comparing reviews to other shops in town. I was working on my lower unit and got to a point that I needed the help of a professional with the right tools. When I got to his shop, he stopped what he was doing to assist me. Given my past experience with other boat mechanics, I was prepared to pay an arm and a leg for his assistance. To my surprise, the price was extremely fair.Flash forward a month, I had some battery trouble out on the Bay and could not get the motor to crank. There were a few boats around me at the time, but nobody wanted to help (Likely for fear of having to tow me in). Cracker Boy, not knowing I was customer at the time, stopped what he was doing to come assist me. We were able to jump start the battery and get me home.Would not take my boat anywhere else.

Pete is highly respected in the area... I bought a used motor off him two years ago that is still turn key with regular up keep. Pricing is reasonable... if you have a Two Stroke issue... Pete takes pride in the fact he has never had an issue he didnt solve.

Went in for a simple ignition install and lost 3 out of 4 gauges. Pete claimes he needed to run a new power wire from battery to fuse box in order to get ignition to work. He charged $420 for this (yes i thought a simple ignition swap would maybe cost an hour of labor MAX). So i paid and left. I put it on the water and realized i had no gauges.I called right away when i noticed i had no gauges and Pete pushed me off saying he was too busy to fix it properly so i waited a couple weeks. I called again and he again was too busy for me. He said to wait towards the end of the week. I called towards end of week and got no answer. I then decided to bring it anyways and drop it off as i had waited long enough. After a few days of dropping it off, he hadnt even looked at it. I then went down there and got him to look at it and he claims that all 3 guages must have went bad. He then asked me to bring it back again as he was too busy. He put my boat outside with his forklift and drove away. I had a tough time loadind my boat as i have to place a piece of wood or brick under jack in order for tongue to be high enough to load onto ball.I guess the moral of the story is dont pay them until you make sure the work is done correctly because once you pay, getting them to make it right seems difficult.

I just had a fantastic experience with Pete aka Crackerboy. I called with a power pole electrical issue and needing a Yamaha serviced. I called, brought in the next day and he was done the following morning. That was a ton of work and I was very pleased with his work.Follow up when I went hook up the boat for the first run had no electrical to accessories. I went through everything and could not figure out. I quickly called Pete on the Saturday morning, stopped over to the shop, found a simple fuse case problem, and was able to salvage the day scalloping. Pete knows his stuff, I’ve drilled him on technical issues and his responsiveness has been outstanding. Would highly recommend to all
