We discovered Scan Design Tampa while on vacation a couple years ago. We have not seen another store with the selection of quality, modern furnishings AND customer service. Recently we returned to Scan Design and found a very unique buffet. Unfortunately the piece was damaged during shipping. Mark, the store manager, and Dwayne, our salesperson, were both helpful and attentive until the issue was resolved. I just wish we had a Scan Design closer to home!!

Our experience with Scan Design was exactly how furniture shopping should be, stress free and easy. Its a big pet peeve when salespeople are pushy or hover over you, and we never felt that way at Scan. Working with Sam was excellent, highly recommend! He was extremely helpful, patient and lead us to the exact sectional we had envisioned. Ordering our sectional went smoothly and Sam was great at keeping us updated throughout the process. With the long delivery times at many furniture retailers right now, our sectional was delivered extremely fast and the drop-off team was very professional. The leather quality and craftsmanship of the sectional is worth the investment.

Just visited the place. I liked how the interiors are made. Contemporary and modern design although the prices are a little high for the Chinese-made furniture

What a great experience. The sales man helped me find a fold out sofa-bed we love. It was delivered within a month. The delivery men carried the pieces up the stairs and did.a wonderful job putting it all together.

Rachel was extremely helpful. When we walked in, she asked if we needed help, but we said we wanted to look around. She left us to look but came back every 10 minutes or so to check in. When we were ready to work with her , she was very courteous...helpful but not pushy. We really came in to buy 2 nightstands. We ended up buying a lot of living room and dining room furniture in addition to the nightstandsThe store itself is a treasure for modern and contemporary furniture with a large collection of pieces on display.

Stunning contemporary furniture. High end product and quality. Expensive but have some affordable pieces. They do custom furniture and offer staging your furniture selection before purchasing on a computer program. They also offer the service of visiting your home for professional opinion and measurements. Denny, (one of the Sales Rep), has a professional degree on architecture and interior design, well prepared for anyone needing advice.

Expensive but everything there is definitely worth it.I highly recommend if you have money to spend and are looking for outstanding furniture and fixtures.

It was a great experience from finding the pieces we love all the way through to the delivery men who were just the best. We chose a white leather sectional and we are very pleased with the quality and design. The dining room table is an Italian design I did not see in any other store and it fits our room perfectly.

Scan Design is a great reputable dealer with some truly spectacular INSPIRING pieces. If you are going for very modern cool furniture that will age well, this is the place!Caitlin & Dottie were amazing throughout the buying process, (even with a very demanding client ; ) . One of the pieces had a minor flaw which was addressed promptly and without question.IMPORTANT: Scan Design has the BEST delivery personnel, which is an highly underestimated benefit. Their team made sure everything was in flawless condition, cleaned up, and wiped down all the pieces. Much better delivery than RH in my experience.

Not as modern as expected and not a big selection of small space furniture.

I love every piece I have purchased at Scan Design--superb quality!! It was definitely on the expensive side, but completely worth the price tag. We have had both custom pieces (a full couch) and standard stock pieces (dining room table and chairs) and love every one. Caitlin is a wonderful salesperson and consultant. She travelled over 40 miles each way to come look at my house and determine if the items I chose would be right for the space, worked on a custom floor plan with me, and stays in touch always when I need. Mark the manager was super helpful as well and really assisted us with ordering the custom piece. We will be back for many more purchases in the future!!

Good customer service.

In May of 1987 we bought a teak buffet/hutch from Scan Design. Earlier this year (2018) one of the plastic pins that holds up the glass shelf broke. Scan Design sent me a new set of shelf pins custom-ordered from the original manufacturer in Europe at no charge. This kind of product support thirty years after purchase shows their level of commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you Scan Design!

Three years ago I went to Scan Design and looked at a lovely leather couch that was at the front of the showroom. It was praised by the salesman for its comfort and style and was touted as an everyday couch that would last for years to come. While the asking price of $5,700 was a bit more than I wanted to spend, I went ahead and made the purchase. Three years and two months after the sale, I began to notice cracks and peeling in the leather and so I contacted Scan Design. They informed me that in spite of the hefty price tag, the item was only under warranty for three years and so therefore was not covered. Apparently, this couch was made with open end leather and not truly suitable for daily use due to the fact that it will begin to deteriorate when it comes in contact with the body oil that comes from our skin. So basically I was sold a couch that never was going to last and terribly unsuited for daily use. For $5,700. Buyer beware! Less than honest furniture dealers reside at Scan Design, ready to take your money.

Great place for contemporary furniture, specially bigger pieces. Its more expensive than Doma and Macys but still a good value. Some items have only two to three year warranty and the manufacturer or store wont work with you if something happens right after warranty is over. Check warranty before you buy!

I love Scan Design but in the web site it only shows few items. I prefer to go to the store.

Lots of cool modern furniture that you wont find anywhere else. Friendly sales staff. No cheap stuff here. Nice huge showroom. Ive bought 6 pieces from here over the years and am love them.

Scan Design is furniture store located close to Mcdill air Force Base this store is the place that you can get that modern looking furniture they travel the world to look for the best quality materials and designers to make their furniture great taste but high quality products can a at big price.

Unique selection of furniture for home and office. On the higher end price wise but it stands out vs most other furniture stores that seem to sell all the same or similar items.

Great design options for those willing to spend the extra money for the extra quality.

Beautif modern furniture for the scrupulous conoceur

As a fourth attempt at seeking a solution to the severe peeling and poor quality of our couch I went to the store today. Dottie assured me the manager, who is apparently always busy or offsite would call today. He did not. Scan design apparently offers poor quality modern furniture with an insulting lack of customer service. I would avoid this store.

I purchased my bedroom furniture here -- beautiful piece and am still waiting for the dresser. Now mind you I bought this and paid in full back in november. I went back on April 2nd and bought several items totaling 6,000 (one of the items I had to fight for since it had a sale tag on it and when I went to pay was told it was not for sale and too bad, so sad -- the owner begrudgingly did make this right and gave it to me at the advertised price). I was told due to the sale they could not give me a date for the delivery and I would be called the next day. Tomorrow will make a week and I have yet to receive a call. Horrible customer service with high prices (which I dont mind paying if I get the service along with it). Never again -- Doma furniture here I come!!

This is aweful, i sincerely hate to write negative reviews about businesses online, but what is wrong is wrong. I was there and got wrapped up in the sales teams pitch, i left excited. When i brought my husband in the next day, he was very weary of the quality. What set us off is when the sales rep designer kept telling us everything is from Italy. My husband flipped a chair over and saw a made in china label. That was the final straw. After searching the web we came across a small place over on W. Bay to Bay. Modern Contemporary furniture and an honest sales team. they were honest about the stuff that came from china and equally as humble about the more exotic lines they have.

The worst experience I have ever had. After 2 hours of picking out over 6k of furniture all instock.....the 1 picture that was in the showroom was not in the warehouse. So we asked if we could just have that. The sales agent was so nice and anxiously asked Bobby the store manager, who said no. The picture was due to arrive in 4 weeks, our furniture was going to be delivered in 2 weeks. So for a 2 week difference, the manager allowed us to leave. Wasted 2 hours of our time. The agent felt terrible and so did we. Sports authority, a 3 billion dollar company failed this week, it can happen.....this guy Bobby wouldnt last in my business or most others I am sure. Everything was in stock. Plus we drove an hour to get there. There are better choices in Tampa where people appreciate you like Doma down the street. Think twice and see Doma too

Fant as stic selection of furniture.

I am very pleased with the pair of black leather chairs I got here but be forewarned - Scan charges a 20 percent fee for cancelling an order even if the item has never left the store! I had paid for two chairs that were in-stock items but before I picked them up I considering taking just one. Thats when I read the fine print in the contract and realized it would cost more $200! A 20 percent restocking seems outrageously high - electronics stores dont charge that much even if you take the item and bring it back.I should also note that years ago I bought a Stressless- like (but not Ekornes Stressless) leather recliner from Scan on which the mechanism broke after just a year and Scan would do nothing about it So I was hesitant to deal with them again but they had exactly the kind of chair this time that I was looking for - and fortunately, no moving parts! .
