Ahoy me lads m ladies! I be Dead Red; The First Mate to Captain Tiger Lee of the South China Sea. A Five-year veteran of the brethren,(an old salt I be,) we have the largest selection of pirate period clothing as well as weapons, custom hat, hand made leather. And much more! These are not cheap costumes...they are made to be washed & worn [sometimes you may have to hang dry] and used at least 12 to 14 times a year without wearing out.

The absolute BEST place to buy pirate garb. I’ve bought several items from them, and they have exceeded my expectations every time. The quality their craftsmanship is great (well worth the price!) and their customer service is friendly and super helpful.I needed a button replaced on my coat (which wasn’t their fault), and Tiger offered to send me a replacement free of charge. As a professional cosplayer it is really hard to find durable costumes that stand the test of time. Pirate fashions has taken that into consideration. The next problem with wearing a costume is that theyre hot, stiff, and uncomfortable. A full formal pirate costume is like a 2nd skin. They get that we live in Florida and it gets hot here. Worth the look and the price.

Custom hat. Definitely not happy that it dosen’t look the same. After finding out that I cannot return it ($160!) I’ll never use them again. I’m so sad about this hat.

I recently visited their physical location for an internship in their sewing department. This place is even better in person than online 🤩! The people are so friendly and inviting and very helpful! The service is top notch!I also love how easy they make it to get into the pirate hobby. They have everything from affordable entry level garb all the way up to fancy garb for a formal pirate ball and anything in between! Not to mention all the accessories like baldrics and belts and props like steel swords, flintlock replicas, and even plastic swords and flintlocks 😊!They have something for almost every level of pirate enthusiast! Are you just dipping your toe into the scene and dont have any cash? Just get a bandanna, and maybe a sash. Want to fully look the part without breaking the bank? Get yourself a shirt and a pair of pants/breeches/slops for a basic deckhand look! Ready to up you game a bit and look more like an officer? Get a vest/waistcoat/weskit! Ready to go all the way to captain status? Get yourself a coat and hat and maybe a baldric, sword and gun!And thats just for the men; women have many options of corsets, blouses, skirts, dresses, and coats/jackets--and even pants, shirts, and vests for lasses who want to dress like a man, but still look feminine! Naturally women have the same entry level to super fancy options to choose from as well 😉!The only issue I might have with the store is the lack of a super premium line; they have an affordable beginner line, and premium line that is certainly worth the price, but personally Id love a super premium line made in linen with armhole gussets and other specifics from historical sewing patterns. This would fill a gap between super expensive hand-stitched historical garments and the machine-stitched offerings of this store. Currently, Im not aware of such a beginner level of garb for historical reenactors/enthusiasts.The other two lines, out of necessity, cater to modern sensibilities, but the option for more hardcore historical reenactors/enthusiasts would definitely be welcome, as well 😉. But if such specifics dont interest you, then you wont even notice the difference 😉! The other two lines are perfect for the overwhelming majority of customers 😁!But this is not enough to dock even a partial star, in my book. Even if it were, everything else about this store, from the environment, to the service, to the wide variety of products, would bump them up past 5 stars to 6 or 7 stars 🤩!My time there was so much fun that I simply cannot wait to return and, hopefully, work with them as an official member of the crew 😁🤩!

Incredible quality pirate pieces for men and women. Excellent customer service, Tiger Lee made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. He knows his stuff and walked us through how to create a look with a jacket we brought in. He helped my fiance create a gorgeous ensemble. Whats more, he did not try to talk us into anything we didnt want or need, which is always a big plus for me. I could hardly believe the selection available in the store. We had been to the pirate store in St. Augustine, and it unfortunately did not have enough of a selection for what we needed. Pirate Fashions saved the day with its extensive and well-curated stock, making us two very happy and well dressed pirates - from a custom hat, to shirt, pants, silk accessories, leather boots, and even socks! I would absolutely recommend this store. 👍

If youve never been here its worth the visit. We spent an hour and they fitted us for our wedding. Yes a pirate wedding. You need it they have it . Quality clothes, hats and many other things. Just a great experience! The entire staff is awesome, very helpful and very engaging. This is a must stop for me on every trip down... if your not a pirate, they can recruit you into the ranks... but if you are a decided landlubber... then stay ashore and dont ruin the fun!

Such an amazing place, so much more than I expected. I love the decor inside, and ringing the bell and asking permission to board just really adds to the experience. This is a very good Pirate store. They have an excellent selection of both mens and womens pirate garb, gear, and supplies. Their leather products are made in house and are of good quality and cost competitive with lesser quality stuff I found online.After ordering some stuff from them online, I was able to finally go to their store. On a trip to Disney, we drove the extra distance to Tampa to go to the store. The staff their is VERY helpful. They spent about 2 hours working through some outfits for my wife and I and are very knowledgeable about how the gear works and fits to together. Its also very entertaining just entering the store (its worth a visit just to enter).Looking forward to my next trip to the store the next time I am near Tampa.

I went to this store wanting a high quality pirate costume for Halloween, and I wasnt disappointed. The customer service was the best, and the quality of product was excellent. Not only did they help me put together what I think is a really awesome pirate outfit, they also taught me how to put everything on correctly. I could of easily made three or four completely different pirate outfits, and been thrilled with them, if I wanted.The gun and leather selection was great as well. The just for show guns look amazing, and are made of accurate materials. The pistol I got is solid metal and very well decorated, great heavy feel on the holster and belt they set me up with.I will assuredly go back to this store for more.

I have purchased several items from Pirate Fashions including a pair of slops--loose breeches. After washing the slops a couple times, I found that the crotch seam was unraveling and returned to Pirate Fashions to see about repairs.Rather than simply have the slops re-sewn, they made me an entire new pair at no cost whatsoever.I find them knowledgeable, friendly and eager to provide good quality items, whether a garment or a fully-functional reproduction of a black-power firearm. I recommend them most highly to anyone who wants good quality pirate gear, black-powder firearms, swords, knives, leather-goods or simply a book on the history of piracy.

We started shopping for our Gasparilla costumes last year and had the best personal experience. The gentleman dressed up my husband to match my outfit and turned out gorgeous. We were not pressured to buy and they recommend to start with the basics since the cost can add up quick. So thats what we did and this year we added a different color and bought more accessories. We are so hooked now. Prices are reasonable for what you get. The quality is outstanding. I highly recommend this place.

Ive never actually been to the shop itself, but Ive started piecing together my first real pirate outfit with products from the website, and I couldnt be happier. So far all I have bought are a shirt, bandana, sash, and pistol, and the quality on each one is great. Im planning to wear my completed outfit to Gasparilla. Just went to Pirate Fashions with my lady to get decked out for Gasparilla! This place is amazing and the service we received was top notch. Tiger spent over an hour with us and helped make our outfits look authentic and ensured they fit well. He even spent the time to teach me (a couple times) how to work a corset. I see other reviews mentioning price, yes it is expensive but you are paying for top notch stuff. This isnt cheap Halloween stuff. You arent gonna go to Tiffanys and ask for a cubic zirconia so dont expect to go to PF for a cheap costume! I cant wait to go back to add more to my costume!

WARNING BEFORE YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING HERE! keep in mind a pirate outfit will cost you between $500-$1,000. I thought the outfits were great and I was ok with spending $500. The problem was I bought their $100 boots and they lasted me 3 hours before they fell completely apart. In three hours it looked as if I wore them for 10 years. All cracked. Im guessing they had these in storage for years. Call and told them about it and their words were, well you did buy our cheapest set of boots really $100 boots should last for 3 hours? Pirate Fashions is like stepping into an 18th century tailor shop. Excellent quality and service. The quality of the clothes is original and to the time period. We came in to the shop the day before Gasparilla and were well treated, despite the large crowd of other customers. We would highly recommend a visit to the shop just for the experience when you are in Tampa. The shop is definitely the place to buy clothing for Gasparilla. Travel safe.
