Do not go here to sell your items. They will take advantage and give you a low number. I will not go back here and will just donate to a foster closet. You can get a tax write off and help children that are being placed in foster homes with toys, clothes, and other items. I already know if they respond to this post it will only to make them look good. I did however give away an item right in front of there store 😀

I LOVE this once upon a child. Great finds, clean and organized, and the staff is soooo friendly. They don’t pay a lot if you’re selling items, but I gave up on that a while ago, ha.

So, my first time visiting this place to purchase a stroller was awesome. The women were happy and helpful. So i decided to return to this location and sell some items. It was my first time so i didn’t know you had to bring the clothes in a bin but the lady said she would take them this time. I thought, great, thanks. Big mistake... i came back after half hour only to see the that the woman that day only picked three items out of a huge bag that i had.. she claimed that the items were stained and that they were being selective with the items they take. The reason they are getting one star is because i can tell that she DID NOT EVEN TAKE THE ITEMS OUT OF THE BAG TO LOOK AT THEM. I can tell because of the fact that all the clothes were in the same exact spot that they were when i brought them the bag. She literally picked the first couple things on top and didn’t bother with the rest. If she was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of clothes and the fact that they weren’t in a bin then that’s fine, communicate that.. but to claim that my stuff was stained when you hadn’t even looked at it is disgraceful. Also, there are a lot of items that were jackets, sweaters and long pants that are definitely in season as we go into the fall and winter so i don’t see why those things wouldn’t have been priority but then again SHE PROBABLY NEVER SAW THEM to begin with... Shame on you! WILL NOT BE GIVING THEN MY BUSINESS ANYMORE!!

Waste of time, they don’t do specials like the Wesley chapel location, they don’t supply bags, unless you pay for them🤦🏽‍♀️ Chinese manager and older lady are the only ones working and smiling, all young employees act like you are bothering them, again...Wesley chapelLocation 1000% better, have bags for free and give you $10 off $100 and specials... don’t be like me and waste your time going there because it’s 5 minutes closer😉

Waayyyyyyy better than Brittan Plaza location in S.Tampa(poor customer service). This is my go too Once upon a child location since Ive moved back to Tampa! Thanks guys!

They are selling more and more made in China new items. These are cheaply made and sized wrong. If you need to return they will not accept returns. WARNINGIn my opinion they should stick to their business model.

We are in the process of becoming licensed foster parents so weve come into the store several times to stock up on clothing items for the different age ranges we may get when we have a placement. Weve also sold items on behalf of family and friends. Ive been to the other location in Wesley Chapel and one in Orlando and I prefer this location. Staff has always been very friendly and the store is always clean. The clothing is reasonably priced, especially when there is a clearance event. I dont see any reason to buy new items from other retailers when you can find clothes of this quality at their price point. I feel like the amount offered when selling is more than fair (I think it works out to like a $1 for each piece of clothing). If one location does not accept items, always try another location. Ive had one location reject what the next one accepts. The store has a rewards program and ive gotten several items for free through the new moms club. Definitely will be returning.

Clothes and toys are pricey for a second hand store. I would rather just buy new. Store was clean and tidy though.

Prices had gone up on the clothes. The shoes are a bit overpriced for the condition (well worn) they are in but the toys are in great conditions and are fair price. I also dont understand their buying guidelines. Clothes I bring are sometimes in better conditions than what I see on the store racks and they dont buy it.

My wife and I lost our child at 7 months. We were destroyed by he passing. Obviously at that time we had purchased a lot of clothes and items for him. We took the brand new clothes with tags and price tag to Once Upon a Child. They offered me $41.85 for 49 brand new with tag items. Talk about taking advantage of a deep grief and loss. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Pure greed and predator upon the grief stricken people just to make a buck. Do not consign, sell or buy from this low life company. Shame shame shame on you.

I was very happy when I found this location. I have many co-workers that shop at Once Upon a Time but I didnt think there was one near me. Ive been using a different consignment store but this one has a much larger inventory. I also brought items to sell and the staff was definitely already busy but they labeled my items carefully and made sure I knew the wait time up front. My son and I ended up playing in the store the whole time so it didnt even matter. Ill definitely be coming back!

Girls were so nice there! I came in yesterday and they were super busy but the girls were still super nice even when you could tell they had a lot going on. Today I came in and there were some different girls, (maybe the non high school girls?) and they were all super nice too. Definitely coming back here.

Showed up at 630 PM and assistant manager attempted to turn me away because “she was done for the night.”She Threatened to donate my stuff if I sat in my car, but insisted that I stand in the store for an hour to wait for them to go through items. Also refused to accept more than 2 bags. So one hour to sort through two small bags. These policies are not displayed anywhere online or at the store, yet with all her pride and proud contempt she stood strong to enforce them.Bad service and terrible attitudes. Save yourself a trip and attend the other locations.Owner if you read this. Hire better staff and a better face for your assistant manager

Im so glad they opened a store here! Its a central location and I think they will do well in that plaza. Its a great sized store- whereas other locations Ive been to have been cramped. I like the layout too, with the toys and books being tucked away in the back. I felt more secure letting my child play and look at books while I looked through the clothes.All the clothes I saw were in great shape and their prices are very fair. Their new reward system seems better because I was always losing the cards or needing to start new ones.The staff was very friendly, polite, and professional. Its very off-putting to go into a store and hear the staff complaining about their jobs, which was my experience at the old Carrollwood location.I love Once Upon A Child for childrens clothing, dress-up, holiday attire, swimwear, toys, and more. Im really excited about this new location being that its in my neck of the woods. I will be going often!

The store is really nice. I really liked it. Looks clean. But the girls working there, none of them smiled once at me. They all looked like they either didn’t want to be there , or they were threatened by me! I know it sounds crazy, but it’s the truth! When I was getting ready to pay they kept looking at me weird. Like they had something to say to me! Especially this one girl. She looked like a teen! She was literally looking at me with this nasty look on her face! And when I would look at her, ( because I literally felt the bad vibe), she’d rapidly look away! Even when me and my husband finally left, the only thing I said to my husband was “finally we’re leaving. I was dying to get out of there because I felt bad vibes”. And my husband literally said to me, “ well I don’t blame you. I saw the way they all kept looking at you”! I was in shock because I knew my instincts were right!!!! It’s sad because I really like the store but I don’t think I’ll be going there after that weird and awkward experience!!!

Great to have a place like this and have been a customer for a while, but I choose to only sell items and no longer purchase. I find it disconcerting that they won’t take items that are clearly in better condition than what they sometimes sell. On 2 occasions I have experienced a denial on purchasing items that I have actually purchased from them, and one was never even worn. My mother purchased a dress that I didn’t like and eventually made it into a bag with other items I planned on selling. They denied it bc of a tiny mark. Funny, I told the associate. It was purchased here but never worn by my child. She didn’t say much. Disappointing.

I’ve been to this place multiple time whether it was for my child or shopping for family members, friends or coworkers. I remember the staff being very helpful and polite. I was greeted with smiles and if I looked like I was having a hard time finding something someone asked if I needed help. I Recommend this place! ❤️

Great experience every time i go great deals

This is my favorite OUAC location in the Tampa area. The staff is always friendly and so helpful. You can really trust they are giving you the best price/value for the items they buy. The store is always really clean, neat and organized. They do a great job of sanitizing everything (I watched them wiping down items with Clorox wipes). They have the best selection of clothing, but they dont really have too much when it comes to little things like Boppy covers, baby wipe warmers, stroller accessories, etc like the location in Britton Plaza has. Many aybe its just not what sells well in that area. Their selection of 10 for $10 bodysuits is smaller that some stores but the quality is better. Love love love this location. (And whoever runs their FB page does a great job too!)

Not worth selling items here, I brought very gently used clothes with no stains, organized sets (carters, Oshkosh, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein) and they just gave me less than 1.00 per piece and made a mess with sets separating them and buying only a piece of the sets, I am not selling again here, I rather give the clothes to someone in need. This location its ok to buy but I prefer the one in Pebble creek they have better clothes although is less organized than this one.

Always amazing. Bought, sold, always had a good experience even if they didnt buy my items. Yes there were no carts but was graciously allowed to use a baby stroller for the car seat. Ill drive the hour down to see you guys for my 3 boys.

IF youre buying things then yes great deals but dont try to sell anything even new things they offer you 3rd world rates brought in brand NEW never used Halloween costumes and new education toys they offered me $1.50 each they always low ball .. wont be going back... Nope

UPDATE: definitely worst location in the area. Wanted $65 for a play yard thats $66 new on Amazon.I generally like this franchise and they were nice. However, most of their prices were higher for used gear than buying new gear on Amazon, so you need to be very careful to not overpay for a used item. Do your homework. They use a new tech reward card system thats not compatible with the other stores. Also, prices were harder to find than with other stores, sometimes near the bottom on a small sticker instead of a paper hanging tag on top.

I definitely prefer this location over Brandon. It seems more spacious. The employees are friendlier. The selling process is much more organized and faster.

Every time I try to sell items to this location they almost NEVER ACCEPT ANY ITEMS OF MINES! I had nearly all brand new onesies NEVER worn some are Gerber, Calvin Klein, gap, childrens Palace ECT. They rejected them all. They claimed they no longer accept Gerber onesies. But They sell them sounds like they are full of crap to me.

Never been to this place before and called ahead to let them know when I would be stopping by....I was told they were not busy and to come by. Drove 25 minutes each way and there was over an hour wait. When I explained that I called ahead and couldnt wait an hour they just threw their hands in the air, shrugged their shoulders and said sorry...first come first served. The store was a mess. Totally disorganized. Dont waste your time. I will never be back.

I wish I would have known about this place before ever buying anything new for my daughter. Everything is gently used and reasonably priced, and you can sell baby items and they give you cash, an amazing store for parents.

My girl friend went to the store today to get some extra cash with some old things, price was more than fair for Legos that we use to decorate the house and had ran out of room for so that was nice. This has nothing to do with that though, I had no intention of reviewing, I was just reading about the store just now and saw how well this owner handles dealing with disgruntled customers and I have to say how nice it is to see someone stand up for themselves and not let the customer think they are always right when they are clearly in the wrong and is not afraid to let them know so when they attempt to bad mouth her business on the internet. That was awesome and I hope u keep it up and never lose that backbone. I dont know if you are a man or woman but you go girl/dude! You are nobodies door mat just because you didnt put money in their hand as quickly as they wanted or at all and god forbid they accuse you of racism for it. Its people like that who are the problem with this country and I think they know it which is why they are so quick to blame everyone but themselves for the trouble they get into. Anyways thats neither here nor there. Keep it up Once Upon A Child owner...people will love and respect you for being such a strong person. Ill be back if for no other reason than to support a strong local business woman/man.

My first time at this store and there are no carts. Staff did let me know I could use one of the strollers that they have for sale but I felt uncomfortable doing so. Prices seem higher than other ouac stores. Shoes are very organized. Store is clean and neat. They dont have the stamp cards that Im accustomed to. They use the system of your telephone number. Would have spent more time shopping if I didnt have to carry the baby in the carseat as well as the items I did purchase.

I moved to tampa 1 year and 7 months ago and my cousin recommended this store and it really was the best recommendation I have had, very happy to visit this store every time I have the opportunity

Always friendly and a great supply of clothing, toys and misc items ; mostly used gently and new with tags. Never a long wait when you bring stuff in to trade or get cash.

Ill give more stars most likely when i get to the new store like Every one is talking about! The others have had great clothes and stuff jus too crowded and small and not organized! Always have great prices!

Bad customer service they have here they had a minor at this store she charge me 4.50 out of 100 and only gave me 65 when she suppost to give me 95 she needs to stay in school and there was a lady there that was very rude for no reason cause i wanted an item back they need better customer service and stop having little kids working at this store with no experience of customer service respect your costomers cause of us u have a job Godbless you all
