I’ve really grown to like this store. Purchased 2 firearms from them and their service was great both times. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Also great prices on training ammo right now. Only critique is I wish they had a separate section for gearing up before you step into the range. Will be taking my wife here to shoot soon!

Well I would like to start off by saying I thought the staff was wonderful.The staff member that helped me was Nick he couldn’t of been nicer and very pleasant to look at. Recently my husband was killed in an automobile accident ,my stepson took me to shoot straight to learn how to shoot his 9 mm . Well it was a man’s 9 mm because I wasn’t strong enough to pull the slide back so I asked Nick if there was a gun that was easier for a lady ,so I ended up buying a new one that’s lighter easy to slide and the clips were easy to load as well. I’m very happy with my new gun I’ve been back a couple times to the range and plan to continue going until I’m good at it. So I’m sorry for everybody who had a bad experience , But mine couldn’t have been better🦋

Great place to pick up some of the best guns on the market. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Ammo can be pricey but that’s pretty much everywhere except online wholesalers. They have a range for both rifle and handgun for training as well. I have bought several handguns here and also traded in a shotgun if that’s something your thinking of. Inventory comes in weekly!

Very nice, friendly, clean store. Low pressure sales. They are decently priced especially with the highest demand for firearms world we live in. Christmas Eve and still had a fair amount of stock and ammo. I called first. Most everyone was more than willing to assist and point me in the right direction. Thank you guys for making my day. Don’t go here. Since when double tapping is rapid fire? They said I should fire a round per second in the most disrespectful way! I spent lots of money here in guns and ammunition, but not coming back. They just lost a really good customer.

My father went in to purchase a gun today and everything was going fine until the man behind the register checked him out before the background check even went through so when it said pending he had to pay 100$ for a 25% restocking fee when he had not even left the building! Watch out for these guys they will rob you blind.

From the time I called to see if the item was available in-store to the time of pick-up the process was smooth. Call was handled professionally and not rushed (think his name was Chris). Greeted upon entry which is important. Jada was knowledgeable about gun classes, range questions, and ammo during background check. She also updated on status check. Day of pick up young man (cant recall his name) made eye contact answered ammo questions with knowledge and thanked me for the business which is rare now-a-days. Thanks and will be back!

If you want to over pay for ammo then definitely go here. You literally can check these guys prices on ammo vs ANYONE and this stores prices would be higher… anyways lesson learned, don’t let them get you.

You learn the most about a company when things go wrong. A sincere thank you to Chris, and the general manager (Jason I believe). After mistake they did their best to make things right, and they went above and beyond to handle a Mossberg warranty claim from the same transaction. Horrendous customer service the younger employees know near to nothing in both guns and how to treat a customer. One man who has his own office in the back helped us an he was more than helpful, knowledgeable and nice. Only reason i would ever go back to that gun store filled With employees with attitudes of middle schoolers.

This store has always been the Old Reliable. When other stores dont have it, Shoot Straight does. Todays visit made up for a less than pleasant experience at a private gun shop. As much as I love supporting local business, Shoot Straight always delivers.

This is the only indoor range that I know of that lets me shoot my AR style pistol(Custom Ruger Charger 22) in the rifle range(100yds) For that reason alone I give Shoot Straight 5stars. The guys that work here are all real friendly and helpful.

Limited amount of ranges in the area, but this is my preferred local one to shoot at out of convienience. Bought a few here, transferred a couple in, and have been treated decently on most occasions. Staff always keeps a watchful eye on less experienced shooters to help keep everyone safe.

Mondays ladies get free lane rentals! Was a way to kill an hour. Had a blast...

I called ahead to make sure they had 9mm ammo, they told me they had plenty. Showed up a few hours later to find they grouped all of their rounds together into $250 bundles, and didnt offer any smaller batches unless I wanted to pay $60 for 50 rounds of FMJ. The staff was incredibly unhelpful

1)Range is not kept up. Air circulation is poor. You inhale more lead than safe! The Air vents leak water drops on you.2) They have a real issue obtaining ammo when other ranges in area have ammo. They provide no real reason.3) Had a range worker grab my unloaded, open gun from my hand in the process, grabbed my hand! When spoke to a manager about this I was told they have a right to do this. Then, when I listedabove grievances and compared to another range, I was told Go there then after this, this manager went on to tell me I was a bad parenting example!This place is the on the low end of professionalism, gun range cleanliness and customer service. My family will no longer be using this range or store. Moving to a nice high end competitor.

Great place to shoot and staff are friendly

Honestly, I spend more time here than I do at home (for work purposes) and Ive never had a disappointing range trip yet. High turnover rates in retail can say a lot about a business which makes it so relieving to come here weekly and see the same people. Everyone is always helpful, super knowledgeable, and most importantly highly enthusiastic. The RSOs keep safety as a main priority which isnt always the case at other ranges. I cant speak for other Shoot Straights (looking at you SWFL) but I can say that this is hands down one of the best ranges to visit if youre looking to get some quality training done in a safe environment with a bunch of friendly people who want to answer your questions. 10/10

These people are rude and lazy, their very own disclaimer is false I will never return. This experience will forever keep me away from “shoot straight” brand and will actively dissuade those around me.

Staff is usually pretty cool but every once in a while you get someone with a chip on their shoulder. Range air conditioning is the biggest issue. Either condensation drips directly on you, the wind is blowing right at you, or right at your target.

Didn’t catch the guys name, skinny and comes off as huge douchebag. Asked him a question and seemed like he was bothered. If you don’t want to talk to people about things, find something where you don’t have to deal with folks.

I have bought several guns from this place that being said you have to know what youre purchasing. The staff there seems to be different but I admit I do not go in there on a regular basis so sometimes I get a very friendly person other times not so friendly. All that being said their range is excellent I highly suggest you go there it is a very safe and secure place to operate a firearm theyve also allowed my children to go in and yes you will be hit with additional paperwork but in my opinion this is necessary and any place that just lets a child walk on to a gun range probably shouldnt go there as far as their Smith Goes hes a pretty cool guy Ive never had him fix anything because all the guns I dont have a lifetime warranty but I had spoken with the him on a few occasions and he seems to be knowledgeable. And he did give me a price although I sent the gun in for repair the price was not outrageous. Theres a little more to that but Ill leave it there. Bottom line youll get a good gun at an okay price and youll get the resources and knowledge that you need to keep you from killing yourself or someone if you listen to these people

Id give zero stars if I could. I bought a red dot sight that mounted crooked and had crazed glass. Counter guy was rude when I tired to return it. Was told, we dont take returns. I called the main office and was told the same thing and to return the red dot to the manufacturer. The manufacturer said, bring it back to the store within 30 days. He was dumbfounded when I told him Shoot Straight refused to take it back.Shoot Straight has no problem selling defective merchandise and taking your money. Customer service is horrible. Return policy virtually non-existent. Lots of gun stores in Tampa....they need to up their game.

Tries to do a week worth of background checks in 1 day because they lost the records. If youre trying to purchase from here, just know it will be a hassle and will cost you a couple of hours of your life. Dont make the same mistake I did. I traded a good weekend day to stand in line for 3.5 hours TO TURN IN A BACKGROUND CHECK when I couldve spent it with my family. Please do not support this store.

Not enough staff to manage the workload. I have a firearm shipped in via Fed ex on Monday (which I bought 2 weeks ago) and they told me would be received in their system by wednesday.....now....they are telling me they cannot receive it in their system until all guns from their gunshow are received which is 1400 guns and said it will have to wait another week or so. So my firearm is just sitting there(paid for and background check cleared) until they can decide to receive it so I can pick it up. Also lost $20 on express shipping since its just sitting there. They have definitely lost my business.

Today I went into shoot Straight with no idea on what type of gun I needed. After talking with the associate Kaiden M. and him probing to find out what my reasons why I felt I needed a gun and Him finding out I just started real estate and have a small family. I had a poor first experience with shoot straight.When I called the first time I had a simple question and the person on the other line brushed me off rudely and placed me on hold for god knows how long.The second time ,I was there to purchase a gun and was helped right away the guy recommended a couple guns to me and gave me info whenever I asked so that went well.The third time I was there to pick up my gun after the cool down period and that went great, the guy was helpful and polite and he got me out the door in under 2 minutes.The fourth time I went there to shoot and was given zero trouble.That’s just my experience with shoot straight.Sometimes people have bad days and act out of the ordinary.I’m glad I looked past that first time because I really like coming to shoot straight, they have decent gun prices and friendly people.

I bought 2 new pistols here a few years ago, one was $400 one was $300. They were used at the range once and were held in the case. Went in to sell them and was offered $75 and $100. Waste of time to sell your guns here. Went to a pawn shop and was offered double that without negotiating. Nice store but they definitely are not going to buy your guns for anything.

This place is a joke. Prices are outrageous. Customer service is horrible. Told me Backgrounds taking 4-6 hours AFTER waiting an hour. Do not go here.

This place is good if you can get here at a time when they’re not busy. I got here at 11 am right when they opened on a Sunday to use the range. When I arrived there was a line out the door all the way to the end of the building. I then waited over an hour to be checked in to use the range. I watched the staff during this time and they were completely overwhelmed. There were only two employees that I saw working the range and only one of those employees was actually checking in customers to use the range. Generally people here are pretty friendly, but it seems they need more help here. At the time of writing this I am still trying to get into the range and it’s been an hour and a half...

I bought several guns from this place over the last couple of years. Always had very knowledgeable and very accommodating employees working with me. Prices were always in line with on line stores and always beat the other big store. If your looking for the hottest gun on the market, then maybe theyll jack it up a bit due to supply on demand. In fact Im ready for a Beretta!

I saw they advertised a great price for a new Beretta 92FS for $429. I stopped on my way home New Years Eve about 3:30. The place was busy but plenty of people behind the counter so I was helped right away. The guy brought out the gun, handed it to me, confirmed the price and I bought it. I was in and out in 20 minutes. This place is great. Thanks for the great deal on the Beretta.

Staff was extremely rude and unable to multitask. Very poor customer service and right in front of management who did nothing(or offer to help next in line). Thankfully they have one or two employees who take it upon themselves to actually help customers. Go elsewhere!

This place is going down hill and blatantly discriminates against people. I was asked to leave the store yesterday for not wearing a mask despite a medical restriction as explained to 2 different managers. When I went out to purchase a mask and return into the store there was a woman leaning over the counter for nearly 10 minutes talking to staff with NO mask on. Both managers that asked me to leave stating its company policy walked by several times and never addressed the issue with the woman. To further the issue the air conditioner was broken on the range making that much more difficult to breathe. When asking another staff member how the other customers were able to stay I was just ignored. So disappointed in the place and how they treat their customers.

Customers are an annoying afterthought at Shoot Straight on North 301 in Tampa. Get your firearms elsewhere. High prices, No follow up call when your background check is complete. Minimal staffing means they stack customer pickups and FFL transfers from gun show onto the “green line“ like a cattle chute. It’s a COVID incubator. 3 hours to pick up the firearm. Then they can’t find it in the wreck of an inventory room, which is maintained wide open with no one behind the counter at times. How do they keep their license?

I was in today around 1:15p and was having difficulty zeroing in my ar15 pistol. I wish I could remember his name but the range officer was phenomenal. He was professional, courteous, patient and extremely helpful with me while trying to get zeroed in. With his assistance I was able to group at 99 yards...I started not even hitting paper at 10

We just waited in this store for about 45 minutes. Didn’t get helped once, they helped everyone around us including people who came in after us. We had a couple grand to spend on some merchandise but we will not be spending it here!!

Our family, Husband, Son, DIL and myself DROVE to the 301 location and waited in line to speak with employees. Yes, we waited in line along with a LOT of people in the store. I stood in line over a hour, fact, not complaining. The phones were ringing CONSTANTLY , so sad for the ones PHONING IN and thinking the employees are going to spend a hour on the phone with you, when they have lines of people standing there patiently waiting for service. When it was our turn, the employee was awesome. We bought what we came for, got ALL of our questions answered and then signed up for a Family Membership for a year. We now have a online weapon order being sent directly to Shoot Straight and they doing background check for a weapon they did not even sell us. GREAT Customer Service. If you sitting at home, use the internet, dont complain when a person working there puts someone that got up, got dressed and drove to their location, and waited in line over a call in. If you SERIOUS about needing information, put some effort into it. Sorry for being so blunt. Sometimes people just need to hear it. Then getting online an slamming a GREAT location because you mad. **SMH**

Never had issues with SS at other locations, but this one is very ill-prepared. Considering the amount of firearms transferred at the recent Tampa Gun Show, they have employees that just wander around with no urgency to service customers. We were 5th in the Green Line, and it took well over an hour to pick up a firearm from the show.

The guy Steven shouldn’t even have a job there...He is Lazy and I will not return to this store.

As far as customer service goes, I have not ever received better customer service at a firearms related store. The employees are each quite exceptional, which suggests the management does an exceptional job vetting candidates for employment. And the selection and prices are excellent as well. I recently bought two pistols on sale here. The girl who did my transaction didn’t even look at the sale price on the pistols and rang them up full price. When I told her they were on sale, she didn’t believe me and then claimed I didn’t know what was on sale. Once she found out they were actually on sale , she only said “sorry I didn’t know” for charging me over $250 extra. Then when she tried to refund it to me, insteAd of refunding it, she charged me another $250!!! When I let her know she charged me instead of refunding me, she didn’t care and was not apologetic, she said “my bad I’ll try again”. Eventually she got it right. This place is seriously trash. I will never buy a firearm from here again.

Went to shoot straight to get another safe. They were extremely busy, with everybody arming themselves to combat the virus.Though short staffed and with an overwhelming amount of customers, the speed of service and customer service was great.

Called to see if they had a Springfield saint victor in stock. Was told they have one but the worker couldnt tell me the price because it was on the other side of the store and he didnt want to go all the easy over there. Tells me to look on line and thats the price. So I come in toand its not the victor. Was told i would have to order on line, cant just pay in store and then cant tell me when it will come. I know allot is going on, but could have saved gadd going to a different style who had the gun in store.

Great experience, brought my twin 2 year old boys. Not a single employee harassed me about them. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. Ive never had a bad experience there. No wait time for the range. Rented two weapons to shoot and bright my own. Not crazy expensive. Had a great time.

Bought my Beretta 92fs Inox online straight from them, a month ago. Had 0 problems with the firearm or the service! Received in in the condition as stated, new. This store is on my list of go-to stores from here on out, Ive already told multiple people about them. Found them by reverse research from Gun Broker, which it appears they have an excellent track record. The price was on point!

I have been a repeat customer for several years and have spent a good amount of money with this business. I recently purchased some accessory items via thier website to be shipped to the store and my package is nowhere to be found. Purchased on the 16th of July and then went to the store on the 24th after being told it was there to pick up. Waited for 30mins while no one could find my order. I went home expecting to maybe have my order sometime next week due to a shipping error but then see on my account that it was refunded. I wasnt informed this would happen and if i hadnt looked, i would still be waiting for my items. Once i saw that, i immediately purchased those exact items from Bass Pro Shop and Shoot Straight will no longer have my business.Ps. Im not the kind of person to leave reviews but the way this was handled really turned me away from this company. And the 2 stars are only because ive had my past experiences go a little better then this one.

It was a first time going anywhere near guns. I was hesitant at first and felt awkward because I was a beginner but as soon as I talked to an associate namely Jonathan, all my anxiety was gone. Really helpful and patient. Answered any questions I had.

Prices are insanely high and rely on ignorant new shooters for sales. Facility is nice and they have a large selection but the majority of the staff only has surface knowledge of the products they sell

I have only actually purchased 1 gun directly from them but had 3 guns purchased elsewhere and shipped there every time they treated me friendly and with respect I have used the range maybe a 1/2 dozen times would recommend them all my experiences are positive.

Over priced guns as far as the eye can see! Oh! did your eye spot that deal over there?? Too bad, because the reason why thats such a good deal is because its a California compliant firearm! Comes with 3 10 round mags!This place sucks, and literally any other gun shop is better and you can actually haggle with other gun shops. Save your time and money, dont go here to shoot, or to buy.

I called in before I went looking for a gun my friend told me about. The guy gave me price. When I went in I was met by an old guy with no personality. When I told him the price I was quoted he said that I was wrong and it had to have been a used gun. I told him I was very specific about the gun I wanted and he just blew me off. Very disappointed. I willNever go there again.If they’ll lie to you get you there, they are the wrong guys to buy from.

I just relocated and i called this place to get some information on the range and an employee named Chris answered the phone. By far the rudest person i have ever encountered. I decided to not even go there and went back to Shooters World (which i hate). Guy was extremely rude and obviously didnt like to listen or be bothered with questions.

Great place to shoot! Hand gun lanes were clean , well lit and comfortable. The staff were very professional, polite and helpful. This was evident by the uniform dress and appearance. I was travelling over to Plant City but will be now be making Shoot Straight, Tampa my range of choice.

Nice clean place to shoot at. The lanes are bright and clean. The staff is friendly from my experience. Bring your own firearms because they do not rent any. Other than that, this is a nice place.
