I dont know how she did it, but my daughter found the negatives from my wedding and brought them to you. The work you were able to do, and pictures you developed was nothing short of a miracle. This is the largest and best camera and photography shop in the area. Excellent service and selection, they have a great film selection, digital cameras, photographic supplies. I highly recommend them for their service and expertise.you cant go wrong shopping there.

I saw the older review about a rude staff member as a single Yelp review but since I had purchased before with no issues I returned for repair work. Personally I had the opposite impression of several staff (probably including the one mentioned). The other reviews on google better match my experience. Will return for further purchases.

No customer service. Came all the way from Utica & they didnt even talk to me. Ask me if there was anything they could help me with. 3 people working. The place was completely dead. Now I know why.

Love coming here. They develop film and even black and white. They have film and digital cameras for sale and are quite knowledgeable. They also have some telescopes as well a many photography accessories.

Went in for a DSLR , after talking with the owner, she suggested a different camera. I got that camera and accessories and have been very happy. Forget Amazon for cameras, prices are competitive and you have advice from a professional. Store has lots of cameras, accessories, optics, and some toys, film too!

Theres a saying that you cant please everybody.Having dealt with the public for over 40 years I know thats the absolute truth.As far as my experience, everything went great.I had some 35mm slides,some 65 years old with a lot of memories attached to them and wanted them made into prints.Woman behind counter was very helpful,suggested somethings,got the prints back,happy customer.While I was there another customer came in and sales person was just as helpful to them Like I said ,you cant please every body.

We came with a fairly hopeless situation of an erased memory card and they were able to restore all of the photos from my daughters mission trip. We are thrilled!! I could not be happier with the wonderful experience I had at Johnson Camera! My four-year old Canon Rebel T3i had developed a focusing problem and I was at my wits end. I was greeted by owner Lydia Johnson as I entered the store who, after listening to my concerns, politely asked if she could try out the camera and change my settings to help in diagnosing the problem. She quickly determined that the problem was with the lens and not the camera. She brought out this years model of the same lens to try, my camera worked again as if was new and I let out a big sigh of relief! She noted that it would be cost-prohibitive to try to repair the lens; replacing it with this latest version of my EFS 18-55mm would make the most sense. I appreciated her expertise, very friendly demeanor and excellent service as I had experienced in my other visits to Johnson Camera. Upon my return home, I checked the price of the new lens I had purchased to those listed online at various venues and realized I had gotten a great deal!. The price I paid was much less, I had no shipping fees and I had immediate satisfaction walking out of the shop with the new lens in place and a now-functioning camera! Thats hitting a grand slam in my mind! I highly recommend Johnson Camera and thank Lydia for making my day!!

Id been pondering upgrading from a Nikon D3200 to the D500 since it was announced several months ago. Much to my surprise, Johnson camera had one in stock. Being an amateur / hobby photographer, this is a pretty big purchase. The wonderful salesperson gave me all the time I needed to try out the camera with absolutely no pressure. She presented me with some great glass options as well. I had no idea there was a local store that carried Tamron lenses! I decided to pull the trigger (shutter?) and make the purchase. I couldnt be happier with the service I received and Ill definitely return for future lens and accessory purchases. Honest, straight forward sales, with a good bit of humor thrown in.

I dont like to write bad comments. But the owner Lydia is rude. I am a firm believer that she may have Aspergers. I seriously hope that you seek help for whatever mental health issues you have. Because the way you treat people is not good social behavior. Nor will it help you gain new custumers.I really like supporting local businesses. I was actually told by a friend to go to your store. But when Im made to feel bad because I am asking questions, its a real negative experience.And last, please do not respond to this like you have all the other comments. Stating ,oh this customer didnt like how we handled things, or this person didnt like our prices. You need to actually take some time to reflect on your own behavior and how you are perceived by others.

Ive only been once, for a tutoring session. I will tell you that I have prepaid for another session! I was very happy with the service I received and will surely spend lots of time and money there.

I can confirm the owner is RACIST (if he still is the owner of this store).I remember when i was still student, i visited the store several times and bought several items from his employees. Several weeks later, when he was at the store, he literately asked me to leave the store because i scared his customer a way.Remember me you racist owner? LoL!The staff is top notch and always get me to the piece of equipment I need and want. Over the past year I have grown to really trust their judgement and they have really have helped me step up my photography on all levels. Business wise and artistically.What they dont know they find out. And its not uncommon for me to receive an email from them during the week about a piece of equipment we talked about previously.I dont know why anyone would go anywhere else.
