I read a lot of mixed reviews but here is my experience. Went in to get a heat shield repaired. Owner and workers were personable and respectful. They took me out to the shop and showed me the situation and noted another issue with my tires. It was an obvious issue and so I had them balance/fix them for around $40. Jason, the owner, explained everything in detail, answered my questions, and did not charge to fix my shield, as it was a very minor repair. He showed me another concern with my transmission leaking and recommended me to another mechanic. Actually showing the customer (me) the issues and explaining them leads me to believe it is a trustworthy and reputable business. Can not comment on larger repairs but they did what needed done on mine in a timely and inexpensive manner. The staff seemed knowledgeable and good-hearted. Personally did not feel overcharged or talked into anything.

I had a wonderful experience with the customer service. I was immediately greeted with no wait. Im not exactly familiar with car maintenance, and the manager Jason was very patient in explaining what was going on with my car, and even alerted me of a possible recall on it. He gave his honest opinion of how I should proceed with the work needed, and overall was the best experience at a Midas Ive had in a while. The new management is definitely doing something right!

Went in with hopes of reducing drone on my car with an aftermarket resonator I bought. The head mechanic, Steve, called me out to the shop after 5 minutes and explained that if he proceeded to install the resonator I would not get the results I was seeking and informed me that there were better ways to go about reducing the drone. I am very impressed with this shop taking time to explain their reasoning behind their decisions and even though I didnt have the part installed I am very satisfied. Ended up saving me a ton of time and money! Very honest, friendly workers here! I will most definitely be going back in the future!

Store is run by professional, knowledgeable employees and gives you fair estimates before any purchase. All options (even ones not profitable to the store) were discussed with me prior to me committing to their service, which seems rare nowadays. Additionally the time spent on the repairs (front struts, new calipers, 4 tires with alignment) was very satisfactory and there were no unexpected delays or “surprise costs” as there can be with some repair shops. Overall excellent service, would recommend to others and will be reusing them in the future.

I highly recommend Midas in Stow, OH for their expert knowledge, professionalism and great care for your vehicle and you! Jason the manager and master service technician Steve were also great in getting the job done in a very timely manner.I was in a bind with a rotted subframe on Infiniti vehicle. TWO Infiniti dealerships did not even call back to help. Infiniti manufacturer, though very kind on phone, did nothing to help. NTSB has not done anything to help - as in issuing a safety recall.MIDAS IN STOW SAVED THE DAY. Manager and expert mechanical technician gave us a great price, did excellent work and would not let us leave until they were certain this 10-hour job to replace frame was done safely, completely and the car was aligned, tested and safe. I recommend them to anyone in need of work on their car. They did the job faster and more economically than anyone possibly could have and they were thorough and made certain we were pleased with the results. I would rate them 100% PLUS

Jason was amazing from the moment I arrived. He made sure I got to see and understand the problems going on and made sure I left with what I needed for a safe car. They worked very hard to make sure I was able to drive my car home in less time than estimated

Owner/Manager was very straight forward with me. He did not try to be anything other than honest about how long the work would take as well as how much it would cost. It took less time than I expected and I will most definitely be back the next time my car needs work.

Not a great experience. The car was maintained by a new guy that didn’t know what he was doing. He didn’t put the plugs back under my car that held the plastic up but instead said “they weren’t there when handling” even though I saw him take the plugs out and put them in his pocket. He lost them and tried charging me for replacement plugs. SCAM

They did a great job! Went to a different tire shop got new tires and one had a broken belt and said they will give me a discount for another tire instead of replacing the tire that was only on the car for a day. Took it to midas and they were much more professional and fixed my tire sensor which the other company didnt do also and midas have great deals on tires and went out if their way to get me a tire that day

Better take some Vaseline with you. Parts are double to quadruple the price you can buy them for at reputable parts store. Labor is double what it should take. Only get oil changes and tires here and you will be ok, just dont let them talk you into unnecessary add ons.

Very professional. They did great work putting a new exhaust on my mustang. They are also very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

I won’t ever take my car to anyone else again. Jason and his team always do an excellent and thorough job. I’m not someone who knows a lot about cars, but i have never felt that they have ever taken advantage of that. They always make sure to educate me along the way and always confirm the price before doing any services. Always friendly and welcoming!

Honest manager. I went to another midas and they messed my car up. This store found the problem and fixed it for free. They had unreasonable pricing on one part but it wasnt the managers fault. The chain had the part way over priced in their system, it was most likely a typo by who ever adjusts prices in chain. My fault for buying it.

Great service, I called to see if I could drop off and get the vehicle serviced in under 2 hours and the manager, Jason, made it happen. Price was reasonable and I’m happy to keep coming back.

These guys are pretty good and reasonably priced, some of their guys are green but they have a pretty good crew that seem fairly talented and motivated. I take them all the stuff I dont want to do or cant do at home no issues yet. They do report service to car fax so its good for showing paper trails for the resale or warranty coverage of your car.

I had been going to a nationwide competitor for years for my oil changes, and this was my first visit to Midas. I called on a whim to see if they had time to get my vehicle in for an oil change on my lunch break, and Im glad I did. The manager, Jason, was incredibly friendly, charismatic and professional. They performed an oil change, health check and tire rotation for a FRACTION of what I had been spending with the competition. All in all, it was a fast, friendly, professional experience that I seldom had before. I will be going to Midas from now on and I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this location. Terrific experience.

I took my car here to be worked on earlier this week, Jason was extremely professional, personable, and has a knowledgeable crew behind him. He put a master tech to work on my car and they ended up giving me my car back way earlier than what was expected. Absolutely highly recommend midas in stow!

I think it is quite ridiculous for someone to UPCHARGE, knowing someone doesn’t know much about cars as well as being a college student and A FAMILY FRIEND. Had the exhaust changed for $3000+! And went to my normal mechanic because he wasn’t available when originally needing it done, said that it was about $700 for that actually to get fixed. They also said my water pump was bad “must have been put in wrong” and said for him to fix that too it would be $1400. It was in fact not the water pump since I had just had it replaced three months prior, it was the outter serpentine belt. Thank you Midas for not knowing how to do your job and charging someone all what was in their bank account. Great job 👍🏼

Remarkable service. I experienced critical mechanical issues regarding my axel and brakes. When I called to get a quote their prices were unmatched. I received a full brake job and axel bearing replacement below the cost that the dealership was quoting for just the axel work. They were friendly, efficient, and affordable; I recommend them.

Got two sets of tires on within 2 years here and the price is still cheaper than anywhere else. Jason and his team are great and he pays 100% attention and looks over every job, he called me yesterday and stated he thought his tech mounted a tire Inorrectly and to come back and he would take care of it asap. No other shop would check to make like that, Ive worked at a ton of dealerships and that would never happen like that. Great guy!

If you were a woman don’t go there alone take a “man” with you because they’re going to try and get every single penny they can out of you for something thats not even wrong. Also don’t buy your tires there because their gonna sell ya warranty that’s not gonna cover anything!! They also put the wrong tire size on my vehicle! The “owner” is very rude!!! He refused to help in anyway even though i had purchased a warranty. I will NEVER bring my car here again not even for a simple oil change. I will also tell everyone ive sent there to stop going and will tell everyone i know to never trust them with your vehicle!

Jason was so incredibly nice and fixed my tire quickly. Usually having to fix anything on your car is a headache but he made it so stress-free!10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

My first time using this location as my go to guy did not have an opening. I don’t think I’m ever going back to the other business, because Jason and his team took care of me at Stow-Midas. They explained, took me on the shop floor to show me, and I felt care and fairness on the pricing. I will be back Mr.Jason, but hopefully no service needed soon.

New rating !!!! Below was my previous exerience however the district manager made things right. He brought me back into the shop and have them fix what they believed was the original popping sound and they added in several other new parts as well at no additional charge whatsoever. He also asked what my bill was for the windshield to cover it but fortunately my insurance covered it so they were in the clear but the fact that he was willing to pay for their mistake is huge. I really hope he had a good talk with the manager in that shop to make sure something like this doesnt happen again. We are all human and we all make mistakes its so lying about it but makes it wrong.............. the rest of my message was from my first experience. ........ Horrific experience at this branch. Not only did they not fix the safety issue i was concerned about but they said the poping sound was coming from struts and would replace the one thats in worse condition... So 700 bucks later there is still the popping sound and car shakes still when hitting breaks. The worst part of it all os that they cracked my windshield getting to the location of my strut and said that it was already there.... I am beside myself. I was at a another place the day prior and knew i didnt not have a cracked windshield. As the day went on it grew bigger and bigger and was across my entire windshield by the end of the day. Tge fact that they wont own up to it is so unreal. People make mistakes instead of making it right they lied like crazy. Also found out from the shop i was at the day before, my struts wede fine and never needed to be replaced .. So they didnt check or fix my breaks, didnt fix the poping sound when i turn in reverse, didnt put my shield back on after doing oil change, still missing a lug nut.... Paid S700 for somthing i didnt need and oh yea and cracked my windshield..... Unbelievable! Oh yea they also forgot to put the bolt back on the frame as well... I dont know how to respond to your message to me but the review because I went to the site and put my information until ever I have not heard anything from anyone.

My sister and I had a couple low tires so we stopped at Midas Stow to have them checked. Scott and Jason were there to greet me. Very professional and nice. After checking the tires they quoted the tires just needed sealed and balanced. We were in and out within the hour. Got home safely but unfortunately both of the tires lost air again by the time we got home. Thank you for getting us home safely. Im sure we will need new tires!

Let’s start with I am seriously a tough critic and hard to please (check my reviews) as I believe most shops or people are out to rip you off. I usually do my own repairs but let’s face it 2021 has been cold and I am getting too old to lay on the ground in the wintertime. I knew I needed a starter in my van as it had been acting up lately, I finally broke down and called a handful of shops. The first one that intrigued me was this shop, Midas on Kent rd., as the gentleman on the phone was kind, courteous, very helpful and quoted me a price over the phone for what I wanted fixed. My experience from the time I dropped off the van until I picked up the van was also very pleasant; I noticed the phone being answered on time and the employees stayed constantly working and courteous to the customers. When I spoke with the manager “Jason” (I think) there were no shenanigans, the van was fixed, and everything looked great. I will visit this Midas again with this staff, in my experience it’s the people that make the company.Thanks Midas.

Midas wouldnt offer a discount until I called back to cancel. They wouldnt offer their discount until I told them Valvoline had one a lot cheaper. They should have helped a long time customer instead of taking advantage of my loyalty.

Took my vehicle in for a oil change and tire rotation. They had it for over two hours. When asked what’s taking so long they said we’re putting oil in it now. 40 minutes later they finally pull it out. Highly dissatisfied.

If I could give 0 stars I would have. The owner is very disrespectful and rude. All they do is lie to get all the money out of you. Do not go here. Go to a small family owned business instead.

Seen some turn over in staff but they seem to keep bringing in car guys. I am a Maint. Man so I know what to look at when they suggest things. It has always been something that does need attention. Hope this helps for people who are not Mechanics.

Got a flat tire They got me in last minute before they closed, And pulled a broken pair of scissors of the tire!

Great service! My flat tire needed a simple adjustment of the valve stem. Rather than try to upsell me, they mad the fix and got me on my way.

I simply asked them to mount four new wheels and tires for my car. They damaged one wheel and never even told me until I called them wondering where my job was at. They agree to order a new wheel, which never happened as far as Im concerned. The store manager could never verify that the replacement wheel was ordered or when it was due to be delivered. The store manager would tell me it was due the next day and that he would call me, and every time I had to call them, only to be told they expected it the next day. So I called customer care and let them know of the situation. Never got a follow-up call and the store manager continued to blame it on the home office. After a week I still dont know if Im getting a new wheel or not so I just went ahead and ordered it myself. Got it in two days since it was in stock. Clearly a game of cat and mouse between me and Midas. Guess Midas won. Congrats! NEVER, EVER again will I go to Midas for anything. Now I have to consult a lawyer to get the $300 back for the wheel they ruined. First time ever. Nice! I guess this is the new reality in Covid 2020.

Great people and great prices, oil change was completed faster than quoted

I appreciate the workers providing me with a ride to work and than taking me to my car. But I feel what I was charged was outrageous. I kind of feel like I was ripped off and feel like what was done shouldnt have been almost $2,000. They do good work but its disappointing I had to get a credit card and had to pay $1500 and I feel like it would have been alot cheaper somewhere else. I appreciate the ride and feel comfortable with my car but the prices was very disappointing. I wish they also had coupons or something. But other than that they did a good day and it was the same day. My intentions isnt to hurt anyones business. Just not use to paying that amount of money

On my way home from work my I hit a sharp object on the road. I called Midas at 5:51 and even though they closed at 6 they waited for me. They patched my tire up and held past 6 just to assist me. I was not even a loyal customer, I’ve never been there before. They were extremely nice and very professional. They didn’t try to up sell me at all. They fixed my tire and that was that, no trying to talk me into something I didn’t need like all other car businesses do. I was not a loyal customer before but that definitely changed!! Thank you guys again!

Its 445 on Saturday midas was closing at 5 oclock I pulled in with a low tire had a nail in it ask him if they could fix it the manager was very professional guy came out got my car took the tire off the car plugged it put air in my tire I was out of there in 10 minutes very nice very professional people thanks guys great job !!!!!!

This place has tryed to get me to have parts put on my car that they said that are ready to brake or whatever need replaced then i took it to another shop and they showed me that they were nothing wrong with these same parts that midis said need replaced. They have did my oil changes since 2006 and no more they rob people on this scam parts replacement for yrs dont take nothing to this one in stow oh.

Appointment at 9am, after call from jason stating 1 tire had a leak and 1 tpms sensor needed replaced because battery was dead in it, i ike’s the work and they said it would take 1 hour. didn’t get a call after 3 hours so i called back and they said another 30 minutes and it would be ready. i got a call 45 minutes later and they said they couldn’t get the 1 tpms sensor to program and that was because i needed 2 more because the battery was dead. this is false and i know because i owned a wheel and tire shop for 8 years and have dealt with tpms sensors a lot. could not fix the problem and tried to sell me more and made me buy a product that did not fix the problem.

I usually don’t leave reviews but: I brought my car to this location due to multiple lights across my dashboard being on after I got an oil change, tire rotation, & multipoint inspection on the same-day; by another shop. They were nice enough to hear me out and fix the problem same-day. They didn’t even mention their hours to me nor complain about my timing when I arrived late in the day. They were kind, understanding, and explained everything thoroughly. I work for a living so I know how bad people want to go home after work; these people didn’t even complain. I give them 5 stars for the amount of professionalism, customer courteousness, and services provided. Thank you for all you do!

Fantastic service. As a college student, the value is great as well, with tire rotation and I trust them to tell me what needs worked on and when. The heads up for routine maintenance coming up helps me budget as well. In addition, one specific instance as they were unsure if something that needed to be repaired would be covered by warranty. They advised checking with my car dealer before paying for the repair. Not every shop would have done that. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer.

These guys always take great care of me and my car! They go above and beyond to work with my repair needs, and even make sure I have a phone charger when I have to hang out and forget mine. Great team of people. Always have their customers best interest at heart. That’s why I keep coming back. Amazing customer service and quality repairs.

Great service at stow midas! I went in for an oil change yesterday and the employees at Midas were very courteous. They were helpful at explaining which oil is best suited to my vehicles high mileage. The cost was considerably cheaper then close competitors too! I was there less then 30 minutes! I would recommend Midas for all your oil change needs!

Did some research after I had some exhaust work done, I paid $236 for an $11 part and it only took 15 minutes to put on(yeah I know, thats my fault), l know theyre in business to make money but they dont need to try and get it all from me

The price was great and work was done well. Problem is I asked for an estimate and was called and told the work was all done. Had the work been any more I couldnt have paid for it. Not great. Didnt inspire confidence.

Ive been going to Stow Midas for a yearish now. Scott the manager and Rocco the assistant manager always treat me fairly. When theres an issue with my car they take me out and show me what they need to do and then provide an estimate before doing any work. When I come in the last minute they do their best to get me in at that time, if its something that they can get done in a timely fashion. If they cant get it done that day theyre open to scheduling an appointment. I will continue to go back to this location for all my routine maintenance.

I am so very impressed with the new management!!!! THEY ARE FANTASTIC!! I have to admitt I boycotted this place for years because they were slow and pushy.. trying to get you to fix problems on your car. I gave them another shot a few weeks ago because I was in great need to get oil change and tire rotation fast. I am so glad I did!!!! They were friendly, fast and very thorough! They did exactly what I wanted and never tried upselling on products that were not necessary. They have great rates and even better customer service. Thanks to the Manager (I believe his name is Scott) I will now ONLY COME TO MIDAS IN STOW!

I had a flat on a very snowy day. After waiting 4 hours for AAA I went to the closest tire repair place. They were too busy to help that day. They wanted me to leave my car. I only have one car. I called the place where I purchased the tires. They could help in 4 days. I googled tire repair near me and this shop came up. I called. I believe the mans name was Mike. He said to bring it in. I was taken care of promply. He showed me how my tire was damaged. I was able to purchase a new tire at a good price. The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely use this Midas shop again and will recommend it.

My mothers brakes went out on her way to the bank a couple days ago (Dec. 22, 2016). Thankfully, there was a Midas muffler on the same side of the street.Brian Thompson, the Manager of the Kent Rd. Midas in Stow was extremely helpful and courteous. He showed me the leaking, totally rusted brake lines, the corroded ABS module, and also showed me a serious problem where the exhaust manifold had blown and oil was leaking all over the engine.The necessary repairs were extensive. Brian explained in detail what needed to be done. The work was completed the same day. He called to ask us if he could keep it overnight to do some additional testing.Brian called us promptly the next day to tell us all of the repairs had been completed. When we picked up the car, he told us to bring it back in a week for an additional test of he vehicle.My mom and I could not have been more satisfied with the work Brian and his team of skilled professionals performed. I would highly recommend Midas in Stow to anyone in need of automotive repairs.Thanks,Jay Elias
