I went to Music Go Round looking for a starter Ukulele for my daughter. Steve helped me that day. They had a rainbow of choices to choose from. He had a perfect pink one for her that she loves. I myself am not a musician, so shopping in a music store can be intimidating. He was helpful to answer my questions on a day when it seemed to be busy in the store. The store was clean and organized.

Some very nice items within the store. Some of the staff are unpleasant. Specifically the guy who sold me a Martin acoustic with some tone wood splits on the reverse. I purchased the guitar, but he told me in no uncertain terms that they would not take a return. I reminded him that the tone wood was split and that the split could expand. Essentially told me to go F myself in not so many words. Please remember that many of your customers are likely professional players who just may happen to have more years on you, and in particular, performance time. Unknown to him, I do have skills at repairing acoustic instruments. Attitude could have been a bit nicer. I may not go back because of this.

It was ok. Bought some guitar picks as I was down to my last 2 that were half worn. Heard some guitarist that was struggling and anemic in skills. An epidemic of laziness where people rely on Apps, not real practice.

I love this place, Bill is the best if you need work on your guitars. Always music go round random stompboxes are there. Guitars are well priced. No competition in stockton

Best music store in the area! If you need anything from cables/wires, microphones, speakers, guitars, big or small, to just good customer service and some advice this is your place. They will help you out with any question regarding music. Either instruments or speakers and mixers they will hook you up. Quality people. My first and only stop always.

A lot of old equipment, over priced. Staff is decent. Tim is a guy that runs the store. Brought in 1700 dollar mixer and was offered 250 and had the nerves to ask for the original box.Tim seems as he run the business with feelings instead of customer service so I’m not sure if it’s good for the franchise. Complains about old equipment he has but want to low ball you on equipment that you paid Top Dollar for.Was told to leave equipment at this location and come back. Came back to a blown sub....... I never write comments but I’m waiting on the response so I can further investigate.

No acknowledgement, waiting for someone to help and no one ever came. No one said I’ll be right with you. Was there to purchase a good guitar. I suppose the other people wasting time and talking their ear off was more important. All we heard was “thanks for coming in” as we walked out empty handed.

Online orderOrdered a Jackson at a great price, used. Shipping took a little while (about a week and a half, I guess I’m just used to crazy fast shipping speeds like amazon. Felt like a lifetime. I’m in NY so it’s completely understandable )Guitar looks great. There are some very very slight nicks and dings (as to be expected with a used guitar, however it would be nice to have the imperfections highlighted in a picture or two). Guitar is full functional and has no mechanical problems; however it did not come with the whammy bar. Not a big deal at all, they are only a few dollars. It would have been nice to have that listed in the description though so I could have had one ordered before the guitar got here. Again, not a big deal at all.Overall very happy with the guitar and will be ordering more from them in the future. Thanks guys. Wish I was closer and could come check out the rest of your stuff in person!

I love this place! After being diagnosed with a very rare cancer it was music that brought meaning back to my life and brought a new found relationship to my kids and I. The employees at this store are very kind and always up beat. Some days I buy stuff other days I just snoop around to listen to people play. Last time I was in there the guys out on a little show and answered a gazillion metallica questions for my 10 year old son. I wont ever shop anywhere else.

Went in to get a few items, the service was mediocre at best. Guy behind the counter was not friendly at all. I hope his day gets better.

My fiance was looking for this specific guitar and hes been trying to find a good deal or good price on it for awhile and we happen to look around at this store and there it was 😍 it was regular priced at first but my fiance asked about the price and the guy checked for us and it was actually cheaper 😱 $200 less than the other place he was looking at. Great deal great customer service and very honest people. I would recommend this place 😊Oh and they fixed my daughters guitar with all new strings.

I called Music Go Round after seeing a beautiful used trumpet online. No other stores had used intermediate/advanced trumpets and we didnt want to buy one online without trying out first. Plus the price of a new intermediate/advanced trumpet is astronomical. They were happy to hold this beauty for us all day so we could get to Stockton to have my son give it a good play. We are so pleased with the quality and price, and was able to score an awesome warranty! The guys were so welcoming and you can tell they are in love with music and the work they do. Kudos to this shop for offering awesome prices and awesome service!

I bring my son here often, they always make us feel at home. I’ve never really had a problem with any one here, and never feel harassed in anyway. They are always willing to answer all of our questions and inform my son properly.

My son wanted an acoustic guitar for his birthday. Unfortunately we picked the wrong time to go because some old dude who reeked of pee was jamming out on base. Hard to hear what an acoustic guitar sounds like with that going..oh well..took our business down to clancys

Ive been a customer here since it opened over 10 years ago, and Ive yet to have anything but a great experience. Most of my music gear that isnt either borrowed or bought from the Internet was purchased here. They always have a variety of new things coming in at very reasonable prices, from guitars to amplifiers to congas to almost anything you could imagine. It also doesnt hurt that the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, especially Tim and Geo. You can see many of them around town playing music or doing sound for local shows, which helps you know that theyre really into what they do as opposed to just having a random job for money. If I could give a six star review, I would.

Just picked up a super sweet Yamaha 5 string bass. I have been looking for a 5 string to fit my hand and I found it here. The store is clean, they dont mind if you play anything on the floor, they usually leave you alone unless you ask for help. Theres a large selection of used gear and new accessories like cords, straps, strings and such. You do have to check in regularly because of new stuff coming in. Ive been shopping here for years and Im happy with every purchase.

I occasionally find cool used gear here. The staff is pretty cool. Tim is cool along with the rest of the crew. I usually dont get repairs here but the tech seems cool too.

Ive been buying gear here for years. They make sure to have a knowledgeable staff to help out with music gear for people just starting out in the music scene. I now work there, and have much respect for my co workers and management who contribute to our local musicians.

I discovered Music Go Round searching for a used Joe Trohman Squier Telecaster online. Before ordering online, I called the store asked some questions and was given a bunch of helpful details. The person I spoke to was knowledgeable and friendly and had recently setup the guitar (I believe it was Tim). After that I felt much better about buying a guitar I could not try, which was to be shipped across the country (they are in CA, Im in MA), so I went ahead and ordered it online. The price was reasonable for a hard to find guitar. The guitar arrived in about 1 week and was extremely well packaged. It was in perfect shape. I was pleasantly surprised to find it had a brand new set of strings on it. It was well setup, great action, great intonation, etc, and plays great. I had a couple follow up questions and emailed the store and got timely responses to my questions from Tim. Great customer service.

Music Go Round is just as the name implies. It is primarily used instruments that are resold that generally in good condition. They dont carry a line of new instruments that Im aware of but the service and especially the guitar tech is excellent.

I lived in stockton for a little while. Sold something here once but they were so weird.. Racist I think. Asked too many dumb questions I guess they thought my gear was stolen. The manager said my digital recorder looked too clean. Was it supossed to have stickers all over and smell like cigarettes?? Wanted to know what I used it for and a demonstration. Ridiculous. You guys should be more friendly to people of color we make music too.

I sold a guitar there they offer me $15 i said is it possible if they I can give me $20 dollars thay told me no it was cheap guitar so I said fine then I went back s couple of days later and they had it up for sale for $80, what do you think is that far I know they have to make there money but that was ridiculous, whats $5 more dollars going to hurt, realy? not happy about happy about it.

Fair prices and nice people. Picked up some good condition Sabian 14 AAX X-Celerator hats for $150 and a Tama Cobra stand for $40. Ill be returning for future cymbal purchases. They even had some used hand hammered and Turkish cymbals.
