This place has excellent selection!! They dont have a fully stocked warehouse but it is amazing. A lot of different species of wood to choose from

Friendly and helpful staff. Gave me a nice welcome on my first visit. Spacious, modern, well-lit and clean facility. Well stocked with the most common hardwoods as well as exotics and sheet goods. I like it better than Berkeley.

Ive been buying lumber and supplies from MacBeath for almost 20 years at their SF and Berkeley locations. But, when I moved my business to Stockton, I was worried about having to find a closer supplier. So, you can imagine my relief and gratitude when they opened a branch here -and, it has the largest inventory, best organization, and friendliest staff of any of their previous locations (which is surprising, because their other locations were already exceptional.) In addition to a great selection of hardwoods, sheet goods, and some locally salvaged species, they have a huge showroom of machinery, tools, finishes, and consumable supplies. I was worried Id have to mail-order everything when I moved, but thankfully this Stockton location has almost everything I need to keep me going. Thanks to MG, Rusty, Taylor, Blake, Raul, Angel, and the rest of the team for creating a hospitable culture (not necessarily the norm in lumber sales) and making buying lumber and supplies a very pleasant experience. Im so glad to have them here.

So much pretty/handsome wood. Lots of big tools for wood working. Super friendly staff, impeccable service. There is a celebration on July 8 too.

We came in looking for treated wood to restore a antique cast iron bench. We were also looking for a thicker demotion of wood all was made possible.

In an area void of other woodworking stores MacBeath is a light in the dark. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The showroom has every toy you could want and they carry a nice selection of wood. 👍

I really like this place, I’ve shopped several times and everyone that’s helped me pick and cut my lumber has such a helpful attitude.

Most of the wood they sell is warped and planed uneven, but they still charge you a premium.
