I cannot give Diventures in Springfield enough praise!!! I took their open water diver certification course in the spring of 2021. Their training was very thorough and focused on helping me succeed in my training. I thought I was going to be very nervous, but they really give you all the support you need to become a successful diver! Aside from their excellent training, their customer service is unmatched! Because my fiancee lived elsewhere, she had to take her diving course through a PADI trainer. It just happened to workout that she was able to take her diving test with me with Diventures. Her PADI instructor was being very difficult with helping her do the proper paperwork, but the Diventure team went above and beyond to make sure that we could do our test together. I will always cherish my opportunity to train with Diventures, and I encourage anyone interested in getting their diving certification to go with the great team of divers at Diventures!

I want the Springfield area to know what a caring and competent staff Diventures has. My barely 4 year old granddaughter was not going to put her suit on and go to her lesson yesterday. Three female employees first tried to calm her down, offering special attention, etc. One then suggested Mr. Ben, who was an important employee of the company come and talk to her. Within a few minutes he had her smiling and agreeing to play some water games with her. She was soon in the pool with him, enjoying her swim experience. He then (very professionaly) involved her new teacher. She took over and my granddaughter once again had a very positive swim lesson. Even the the deck crew got involved! All of these swim instructors, those behind the desk, and deck crew had a part in helping my granddaughter enjoy her swim lesson.

I wanted to love this place so much, so I am disappointed. The swim lessons start 5 minutes late, and end 5 minutes early, so you pay for 20 minutes. Most of that time your child is sitting on the side of the pool waiting for their turn. After 2 months of lessons, they demanded us to pay $118 MORE per month for the same number of lessons… no exceptions. That’s a 40% price increase! We tried to communicate how unexpected/surprising/unethical this was, but they cared nothing about us (I guess they do it to customers all the time). Enroll here? Expect a 40% price increase on the 2nd or 3rd month. Customer services is abysmal. I contacted the owner about this, he doesn’t care at all. He will increase your prices at any time!!!! Enroll here at your own risk! ***i highly discourage*** The only people in the building that care about your child are the teachers in the water, and they are paid the least, and they have no authority over the business. Good people work at this location, no doubt! However, an awful person owns this company. Not a positive company to support, unfortunately.

I had occasion to visit Diventures for the first time last week. I was in search of swim fins. Their customer service is amazing! Shelby assisted me in trying on three sizes. I bought the middle size but she told me to try them out and if I needed to exchange them come back with my swim suit and I could try a different pair out in their pool. I took her up on it the following day! Again, customer service was outstanding. Exchanged for a larger pair with some hesitation. But they told me I had ten days to return. I did end up returning them today, but no hassle getting my money back. I highly recommend Diventures!

I left a FB review but definitely dont think a business with such a great staff can have too many positive reviews. We have been taking scuba lessons from Kirsten at Diventures! We cannot say enough about her and how wonderful she worked with our family. We have 3 kids and wanted to learn so we could take a trip we had never been on before. I am the more cautious one in the family so Kirsten took her time and was so patient and kind with me. She celebrated every small victory with me and treated me with such kindness. I would highly recommend lessons with Kirsten and team at Diventures. From the moment we walked in to check out our options, everyone was just great. Andrew, Ryan, Kirsten, all top notch! Thank you so much, Kirsten! We will definitely be sending pictures, after we return from our trip. ;)

Came here with limited knowledge on scuba diving and left feeling confident with my gear choices and the skills Ive learned in my open water classes thanks to thier sales staff and highly knowledgeable instructors. Kudos to Matt as he was my instructor for the open water certification. Definitely recommended this dive shop for your diving needs. They carry a big selection of higher quality gear with reasonable prices.

We went in for Dive Certification and ended up enrolling all three kids in swim lessons! The team is amazing! We had our first lessons today my daughter 5 swam down to 3 feet and got a ring and her twin was super comfy in the water! My 11 yr old is super excited to start dive lessons and one of the team members jumped in and rescued his mask and snorkel from the 14 foot pool! First week...life long customer!

My 11 year old son Gabriel enjoyed his introduction to scuba diving class with Matt yesterday. The facilities and scuba diving gear are very nice, the staff is great and Matt is an excellent instructor who made the experience absolutely fantastic for Gabriel. Thanks Matt!

My son gets swim lessons here, and he enjoys it. I like the small class sizes and the one on one attention he gets.

I bring both of my boys here for swimming lessons. Overall, its a good place for learning all kinds of things, from scuba diving to just plain swimming. They do it in increments of 30 minutes at a time with a 5 minute warning. I have seen, however, sometimes, the previous group takes a little longer, and they go ver the 30 min, which means that the next group will be 5 minutes late, but they dont end the class 5 minutes late.... 5 minutes might not seem like a lot, but if you think about it, its almost 15% of the entire class.

Excellent teachers and staff! I heard about Diventures from neighbors and decided to enroll my grandkids when they visit. I was not disappointed! My grandkids have had excellent teachers every time, but this past week my 5 year old grandson had a young man named Daylon. Superb!! Daylon connected so well with my grandson and Jordan, my grandson, was diving in the 14ft water In just 2-3 days! Daylon pushed Jordan and that was exactly what Jordan needed! I highly recommend Diventures to everyone!

My daughter had her birthday party here and everything was amazing! The room was deep cleaned, table/chairs moved around and ready for us to decorate. Hannah was the lifeguard and was so amazing with our group of mostly 5 year olds. Emily was the surprise mermaid at our party and made all of the girls mermaid dreams come true!! We can’t wait to start swim lessons here in January.Thank you for giving my girl the best “dive into five” party!

Excellent customer service and professionalism. I recently decided to get my scuba certification through Diventures and I feel fortunate to have walked in on a day when Jules was working. She has been amazing, her upbeat attitude, attention to detail and professionalism while walking me through and explaining all of my gear options has made the entire process of setting up gear very enjoyable.

We go here for swimming lessons, and I’ve taken scuba classes from here. The staff is great, super helpful and welcoming. The prices are reasonable, the selection is top notch, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend for anything on or in the water.

Great place-super warm. The swimmers are not cold at all. The spectator are very warm.

Wonderful customer service by Jules and friendly staff! They worked with me to help me try on scuba masks, and when I couldnt decide they let me swim in the pool to try each one on. It looked like the kiddos in swim lessons while I was there were having a great time and the teachers were attentive.

Very clean, and professional environment. unfortunately they don’t have a lot as far as scuba accessories.

I love my dive shop !! The people are amazing , knowledgeable, very helpful and the facility is top notch in training and equipment. I dive for work and pleasure and they have always gone above and beyond to assist me in both areas.

My husband and I took the Open Water Dive class. What a wonderful experience. All of the dive instructors and staff were great. I had a lot of issues to overcome and each instructor was so patient and help me learn how to get through it. Today we passed our check dives and are now certified! Thank you, Ryan, Kevin, James, Don S., Don P., Anthony,and the rest of the Diventures staff!

My daughter has enjoyed her lessons, however we decided to provide her with a private swim instructor due to a lack of time in the pool. After a month of classes I noticed she wasn’t spending much time in the water so I decided to use a stopwatch and clocked her participation. The last 2 classes she attended, her actual time in the water was less than 5 cumulative minutes per 30 minute class. More accurately, she spent approximately 4:30 receiving instructions in the water per session. Her class sizes have varied weekly from 3-4 students, yet the time in the water has been pretty consistent. Overall the staff is friendly, the pool and changing rooms are clean and well maintained. I simply can’t justify attending classes here when she spends more time in her car seat, than she does in the pool.

Not consistent in swim instructors. Although you know that you are suppose to have XYZ swim instructor, they may not be teaching that class for more than a month or less. They DO NOT communicate this with their clients and they seemed disorganized. They also have different levels of swim instructors and some are not that great. Due to the inconsistency in swim instructors, swimmers dont progress as well as they should. When I spoke to the manager about canceling our auto-enroll (which we have been paying on average $86.00 a month for TWO YEARS) he wanted to give me all these excuses, which none were his fault naturally. He said that due to their swim instructors being college students they werent that reliable - his words, not mine. I asked if they would just communicate that with their customers, it wouldnt be a surprise. His response was that if he did that for EVERY customer that that is all he would be doing is calling people and he doesnt have time to do that. Funny, that they dont have an issue calling me to let me know that they are cancelling classes or an open swim at last minute? At the end of the day, they didnt really care that they were losing a loyal customer of two years.The facility is always well maintained and clean. It was a great activity for my kiddo to do in the winter but it is just disappointing that they didnt care about the customer, the manager made excuses and they couldnt provide consistency in teaching kids.

Had gear serviced at this shop 2 of 4 regs had issues on trip. 1 pressure gauge had issues had serviced at another shop and found wrong parts where used to service. I would use caution when using service department. Also be sure you do your whole certification and get your card before leaving.

Diventures has reached out to my mother and has made amends. My mother recently told me she has attended 5 classes and loves it. Thank you for contacting her and being proactive so that she could have a good experience.

We did the baby/child classes several years ago and were pleased, but we came back this year and its been an entirely different experience. We paid an exorbitant amount of money for private lessons and after 8 lessons, the instructor still hasnt even put my childs face under the water. My three year old is a reluctant swimmer and has made no progress in two months of weekly lessons. The staff was unprofessional (not prepared for lessons on time) and the environment was not family friendly (twice the music being pumped through the speakers in the changing rooms contained extreme profanity). Our instructor told us she was leaving the company but we received no communication from the company to continue lessons. We will not be coming back here.

Caleb is an amazing teacher! Didnt expect to learn to swim on my own in 8 classes!! Would definitely recommend and I plan to go back for scuba diving soon.Its slightly expensive but totally worth it.

I didnt think my son was every going to swim. We tried to teach him and then we tried group lessons and when that failed we tried personal lessons at Diventures. The instructor was wonderful and my little one can now swim!

Truly a great facility with wonderful staff. In just a few months, our daughters have progressed from having a mild fear of water to being Olympic hopefuls! (Maybe an exaggeration, but you get the idea).We are very pleased with our experience.

Were really excited to have my daughter learn how to swim so we thought that Divenurers would be the best place to teacher her. We check into the price and it was going to be $200 for two months for one 30minute class a week, this was twice as high as any were else. He thought that the instruction would be top notch and the instructor was good. My daughter was in a class of four so we thought she would receive a lot of swim time. However , my daughter was only in the pool maybe ten minutes a class and she sat on the side while she waited for for the the other students. For the price we could have got a one on one trainer. Also a student got sick in the pool and they had to cancel the lesson that day and they said we would get a credit. When we went to redeem the credit they said we had to register for a full month of lessons in order to redeem. But since school is starting it would be no way that we would be able to continue lessons so technically we cant redeem the free lesson. My biggest issues with diventures is simply the policies. The time of instruction my daughter received and the way they make you redeem credits is simply not worth the $100 a month.

My family had several interactions with Diventures, with several different Boy Scout troops, and the staff is always friendly and ready to help - but it appears there is a communication disconnect; personnel working the counter often appear confused as to who is supposed to be where, doing what - and when.

Got my scuba cert. through these guys years ago.. Was trained by the Jedi Dive Master Jeff Rook. Highly recommend him if your looking to get your cert.

Their service is slow and if you get a regulator serviced there dont listen to their 2-3 week turn around. Mine have been there a month and still not been touched. Usually a reputable dive shop will give a worst case time estimate not a pipe dream.

The staff at DiVentures is invaluable when it comes to selecting and purchasing SCUBA equipment. They are very resourceful and patient while you shop.
