Excellent care and service. Made me feel real comfortable getting my eyes examined. Eye doctor was easy to ask questions to. Eyewear selection was well within my budget and associates were very helpful in making the selection and payment easy.

Evidently if you pay for an eye exam and the doctor doesn’t get it right your only recourse is to have the same incompetence done again with the same doctor or pay for another exam by a different doctor in the practice. The contact didn’t feel right from the beginning and I told him that at the fitting. He was rude and couldn’t be bothered. The prescription isn’t correct, it doesn’t fit my eye and I can’t wear it. Vision Care offered no solutions. I won’t be going back and will spread the word to everyone. I’ve had vision correction for over 50 years and have never dealt with a company’s policies like this one. Very unhappy with them.

It was my first time going to Vision Care last week but I’ll now be a customer for life! Everyone was so friendly, especially Dr. Dale, who I cannot recommend enough!! He was very dedicated, patient, and kind, and explained everything very thoroughly. All of the techs were so nice as well. Everyone was very professional and the office is so nice that I felt slightly out of place in my jeans and tee shirt. :)

This was my 1st time here and not the most pleasant experience. Was having issue with wavy line moving thru my eye. First thing associate told me was all she had down that I called just to get an exam. Told her that wasnt true and that I told person on the phone I need to have my eye looked at because of the problem. Also seemed to irritate her that every question she asked me I couldnt remember about a laser eye surgery I had 10 years ago. She made me feel uncomfortable and like I was just an irritation to her. Hoping this person was having a bad day & doesnt always treat patients like she did me. Once I saw the Doctor she was nice & professional. Explained everything in detail.

Ive been going to VCA for several years now. I started out seeing Dr. Hill, and now see Dr. Ottino; I recommend both. The staff at VCA are very friendly, efficient, and professional. I recently felt I had a sliver of a contact lens stuck in my eye on a Saturday morning. I called, and they worked to get me in. Dr. Ottino examined my eye very thoroughly. Fortunately for me, he found nothing in my eye; just some irritation and a little swelling. Im so grateful they were able to see me, though, and alleviate my fears. I definitely recommend Vision Care Associates!

I was early for my appt and they took me early. Very friendly staff. Answered all of my questions. When I went to get new glasses, they asked if there was a budget, which I liked. They brought several cases of glasses for me to try out which I really liked because at other eye glass places, they dont do that. They had a wide selection of glasses and were fairly reasonable. Rooms were large which was good for me since I am in a power chair. They were very accommodating and patient.

I was on my family vacation this summer when I was called by Vision Care. They wanted to sell me a year supply of contacts before the Acuvue Rebate offer was over. I agreed to go ahead and shell out $600 upfront. They said they’d mail me the rebate information. I waited and waited. Finally, I called Vision Care and was informed that “Oops, I guess it never got mailed. We are sorry for the inconvenience but the rebate period has closed”. I don’t know about anyone else but a $200 rebate was going to help pay for Christmas this year. That’s a lot of money in this household.

Not as good as they once were... When this place opened a few years ago, they were top notch in service and customer care. Of late, they pay less attention to detail and have long turn around times for service and receiving glasses/contacts. They are still as expensive as ever, thus the 3 star rating.

Dr. Bruce was exceptional. I know some of the difficulty I brought as a new patient after years of monitoring. I was surprisingly emotional at feeling so responded to at my first visit. Not being heard and placated; not being merely listened to, the standard minimum; but having a response full of such shared medical decision-making and action that I will trust this person with my eyes until he retires. I am very grateful.

My eye doctor is Dr. Hill and he is a very friendly guy. He does a great job of telling me all I need to know about how my eyes are doing. The receptionist there are nice. When I was looking for new glasses they asked me if I needed help picking out glasses. When I decide on what my choice of glasses and they want to see me in them to make sure they are going to fit me in the style. I would recommend them because they show how much they care about their patients.

Follow up review: I was very upset last week and dismayed that I would be waiting another 2 weeks for my glasses after it was made wrongly - making it one month waiting time. At the time no one told me they would rush the order, no one made any attempts to somehow make up for it. The day after I saw them, they called me and said theyd expedite the order and have it no later than Wednesday the 14th. They did. I have both pairs now and Im very happy that they made good on there promise. Thats all I really wanted. Thank you!

My husband and I made an appointment with this location a week ago. The next day I got a call back saying the doctor we booked with wasnt in that day. Fine. We moved to a different doctor an hour later than our original appointment. The day after that I got a call saying they could pull up my husbands insurance but I wasnt on there yet. This was around 4:45 that night, so there wasnt much I could do that day, but we looked it up on his work website and it had me listed. No big deal, probably just a minor mistake. I called this location back when they opened the next day to have them look it up again, the lady said she would have their insurance department look at it again and call me back. No call. And this was a Friday. Monday rolls around. I call this location again. The lady who answered the phone was able to check for me (which makes me think there isnt a seperate department for insurance) and said she still wasnt pulling me up. I got my husband to call his insurance company and they said everything is good in their side and they would call the vision place and clear it up for us. Well they called the wrong location, again, no big deal. I got that figured out. Come to fine out, this location was looking under the wrong insurance company. They were really nice and put out appointments back on for today. I confirmed for a third time that the time was 11:20...an hour after my original appointment..she confirmed. So to sum everything up, it has been a week of back and forth with this company, but we got it all figured out. We walk in today...they tell us my appointment was at 10:20 and my husbands was at 10:45 and we have to reschedule. EVEN if I got my appointment time wrong, why didnt we get a call? We could have at least made my husbands appointment. We live 3 minutes away. This whole experience has been awful. Never will I refer anyone there...and I have family who works there...

Dear response from owner-- in response to your company trying to sell me $500 reading glasses- yes, I am a customer. Ive changed my name from Retzer to Fields. Youll find the attempt to oversell and push goods under my name - Allison Fields and my husbands name Kevin Umfleet. Shame on you! Thankfully I asked questions. What about an elderly person who doesnt know to ask? Youre taking advantage of people.

We went to Vision Care Associates for a kindergarten eye exam for my daughter. The nurses checked my daughter’s vision and took a scan. 3 of my daughters and I then waited for Dr. Hefley to come into finish the exam for an Hour from 4:30 -5:30. The hallways were dark and we heard no other patients. Finally the nurse came in at 5:30 and said the doctor had to leave to pick her child up from the babysitter’s. The office doesn’t close until 6:00. They couldn’t complete the exam form for school without the doctor’s signature or approval. They didn’t have any other available appointments before school starts. Very unprofessional and rude. Horrible experience. Don’t rely on this place for professionalism or promptness. I’ve waited so long for glasses before. It has always been a bad experience at this place, but today was the worst. Dr. Hefley should have come in to say something. We saw her pulling out of the parking lot. Just wrong.

Horrible customer service by Office staff. I saw Dr. Ottino on a Friday at the Prairie Crossing Drive Office and was given a follow up appointment the Friday after. When I got to the Prairie Crossing Office at the appointment time, I was told that the Optometrist is at the North Grand Location. Neither the reminder txt the day before, nor the reminder card given to me had the North Grand Location. I had a several office meetings scheduled that day so going across town was not a viable option. I asked if another optometrist could just check as this was a short follow up that was just to check the contacts or give me a few more contacts as Dr. Ottino was not going to be in the next week. The receptionist said hold on went back and got a Tech named Brie who came and said Sir you are going to have to leave in a loud voice and proceeded to go call someone. I then asked the receptionist if this was necessary and she said she understood and it wasnt. This is not the kind of service that one provides when they were wrong in not telling me which office to go to. The optometrist was fine, the staff leaves a lot to be desired in customer service. Not worth going here to be abused.
