I go here quite a bit. They have just about every sport covered. Good selection of affordable shoes as well. I have growing kids that go through shoes like poop through a goose. Always a sale on shoes

Been frequenting this location for some years now and always appreciate the deals on shoes (even Nikes), backpacks and camping supplies. They also have a great selection of sports equipment, but thats not what I go there for necessarily.

The employees are great I was trying to buy some pepper spray and the female checker gave me some tips on which ones were best and which ones sucked and were a little dangerous to use because they might open up randomly

Demanded my 3 yr old wear a mask even though thats not the state law or federal law and is absolutely a violation of my childs rights. hes a child. the mask they gave us hung off the bottom of his face because its made for adults. we have been life long customers and WILL NOT BE BACK.

Good prices they do have more men shoes then womens. But very good selection. The staff was very helpful for the most part besides the two girls working up front were to busy talking to eachother. I had to ask the same question 3 times before they heard me.

Gotta love a store you can buy new hiking boots at for under 23$.

Customer service was amazing. I bought a mini trampoline and didnt measure correctly. One of the employees leaving for the night, stopped and helped me unpackaged it and magical got it in my car. Then he even ran the packaging back into the store. Above and beyond. Especially in these time!

Their ad says one thing but the actual price was $10 higher than the ad.

Good experience this time. We were greeted when we entered the store, and were asked if we needed help finding anything, while making our way back to the shoe department. Once back there, two different employees offered assistance. They were friendly and engaged. Once I made my selection, I quickly had the right size brought out, tried them on, and was on my way. The cashier was friendly and helpful.Nice experience.

Got several pair of name brand hiking boots here for the cost of one elsewhere. Great for kids active footwear as they seldom wear out shoes before they outgrow them. Sometimes the quality is somewhat lower, but the cost is way less. A great option to consider.

This store definitely has a wide variety of sporting goods. Just about any sport you can think of is covered including water sports. The only reason I didnt give it more stars was because the employees dont seem to educated about the products when I ask questions and its a little pricey unless the item you want is on sale.

If you need something in a pinch, big 5 has a little of everything.

Found a pair of mens tennis shoes for $19.99

Good variety of equipment. Very limited on some stock, and -1store for not having adult sizes in most safety gear. No adult all sport helmets or pads, and limited sizes on other equipment.

I got poor service at big five in eugene. I got terrible service at big five in Springfield. Could not find the product in my wifes size. SHE finally said lets leave. Shes the patient one...We left. We think the workers arent happy they opened up again.

So my husband has huge feet. Size 14 actually. And Big 5 carries a particular, all black, plain sneaker in a size 14. My husband is always limited when shopping in store for shoes but thankfully Big 5 has this one particular shoe. The price is great too. Thanks guys!

So its a good place to shop the people that work there are always very informed on their stock very friendly during the day and in the evening and because I shop late often Im there just before closing and theyre just as polite even then.The sales are always good and for a small store they are well stocked.

Went in to purchase 3 pair of shoes. Employee was less than helpful. Asked for a pair to try on and when he brought the wrong pair he just disappeared... waited another 10 minutes and decided to spend my money elsewhere. Nobody asked me if they could help on my way out. All three employees working were just huddled over in a corner talking. Disappointing!
