I tried making an oil change appointment for 2 days with local cadillac dealer, they insisted no appt needed to arrive and be told 3 hr wait... So I went to where I should have gone in the first place. Hickman Auto LLC were informative, professional and got me in and out in 30 minutes.

This is where I get all my mechanical needs and tire needs oil changes etc... These guys only hire top quality professionals... I have seen it time and time again where they continue to get more customers due to the fact of their knowledge and experience... Did I tell you that service is truly with a smile... Plus the rates are excellent... If they tell you a price they stand by it. The only thing that is missing is 10 Stars if I could they would get that! Would recommend, they seem to know what theyre doing and care about your car (which a lot of mechanic garages around Springfield wont/dont know what theyre talking about). They wont charge you extra or do anything risky without the auto owners permission first and I really like that. They give you good $ estimates and are good/through about repairs, will be coming back again.

Called super last second to have brakes F/R put on my truck. Also had an ABS error code disabling my 4WD. I ordered the wrong part for the ABS code. They let me know, then ordered and installed the correct one. Burned my brakes in, tested the 4WD, cleared the code for the ABS and left the incorrect parts with my receipt on my center console.Truck was done in like 3 hours too. Highly recommend!

Had my car in there for a diagnostic and not only were they able to do something two other mechanics couldnt do which is successfully diagnose the problem, they also quoted me a more than fair price and did excellent work on my car. Bottom line: Good ppl working there who do great work. and i wont hesitate returning if any issues arise with my car.

I went into this shop today 7/23/2021 for a sample oil change that costed me 65.00. I have a Cadillac Deville it does take more oil then other cars. But, still I could go to Wal Mart and it would have been way less. When the job was done I began to drive off and notice my gas pedal was all the way to the floor of my car. Nothing was wrong with my pedal when I got there. The told guys there made it seem like it was like that already and they did nothing. Im a single parent with a two year old. I have to be at work Monday morning. Now what am I to do. People like them shouldnt have a business. This is a true story PLEASE! Do not take your car here. The worker there are crooks. I pray GOD take care of them. The only thing I was told was to bring my car in Monday because it was closing time for them. Im sure they were going to charge me from something they did wrong to my car. I hope as many people read this and look some where else. This place dont deserve any stars, but I have to put it in.

These guys were recommended by a friend and I needed 4 brand new tires on my car and they delivered! I cant say enough about their customer service and I was happy with my experience from the first time I dealt with them. The day after I got my new tires, I got into a small wreck and ended up blowing two tires. I just called them up and they were more than helpful and accommodating. The tow truck dropped my car off to them and they started getting the stuff around right away. They are quick and communicate well with you! I cant say enough good things about them!! I had a problem that was stressing me out. Worrying how I was going to pay for it, what to do, and who to go to since US Automotive really messed me over a few months ago. I was pointed to Hickman auto and I have to say I felt like I was dealing with my hometown local mechanic. Good guys, honest, and WILL NOT mess you over. Found my new mechanic for all my vehicles.

Was going to this place for my tires, maintenance and inspections. Sold me 2 new key FOBs for $277. Called a Chevy dealership and was quoted at half that price. Couple days later the key FOB split in half when I went to turn the ignition. Took both sets of keys to the Chevy dealer. The faulty FOB was not a Chevy product. There was no emblem and not even any serial number on the inside. I got my money back from this place but they tried to rob me. Wont be going back here.

Wife and I were traveling and the car started vibrating, so we stopped in Springfield We had our dogs with us and he recommended a great dog park while we were waiting.He got us in quickly and said the only problem was the tires needed balanced. They got the tires balanced and he didn’t charge me anything. Car driving smoothly.Honest mechanic who has owned his shop for 12 years and no one works on commission. Very gracious and kind. They have the best pricing on tires in town and sometimes it maybe a few bucks cheaper online but by the time you pay for mount and balance its usually cheaper just to call MD Hickmans. Absolutely impressed with the knowledge and ability to produce the results desired! My 86 cutlass was mutilated by another shop when going from 24s to 28s. The whole suspension actually fell out on the tow truck leaving said shop after driving her in. Mike Hickman was able to fix everything! After going threw redoing all of it, fabricating some parts and a lot of hard work we was able to drive my car home 50 miles on the 28s! We gave him a laundry list of things of things to fix and he accomplished all of it in minimal time and reasonable money. So very thankful

Hickmans has the most competitive pricing in town, and they do a great job. I drive my vehicles in my job, and I asked for tires that will let me drive in the snow. Hickman made some phone calls and found tires fitting my needs and had someone run to somewhere else in town to pick them up. Then, he gave me a discount because I had to wait an hour, which let us be honest, people would often wait just as long if not longer at other places if the tires were in stock.You arent paying for fancy coffee machines or super nice couches, but rather for a quality product at an affordable price. Go to Hickmans!

Bought a vehicle from the MD Hickman Auto off of chestnut Expressway. Come to find out the vehicle was sold with broken coil springs ( verified by three other mechanic shops). Will be contacting the Attorney General for false inspection as the owner was unwilling to make appropriate repairs.

Went to the Scenic location. Not friendly. I unknowingly arrived before opening hours on a Saturday and there were people leaving from the suspension repair bay. The attendant noticed me and quickly closed the bay and ran inside to lock the door as I was walking up. OK I understand their closed, but to just lock the door and run away and hide inside like that from a customer? Really? How about a greeting and a standard, Im sorry, we open at 10 am, please come and see us then. But no. Nothing. He just ran and hid. Sad. My past experience was met with rudeness from the staff, I thought they were having a bad day so thought I would give them another chance. They blew it. I would not recommend them from my experience I have had with them.

These guys fixed a transmission for me, and their price was way better than anything else I could find. Ive bought new tires for my wifes car and they were priced right and are still doing well 50,000 miles later, and Ive bought used tires for my truck, and they have held up well. Mike seems very knowledgeable and I would recommend these guys for all things automotive

Followed Mikes recommendations for tires (Toyo) and custom alignment on my 2014 Chevy SS and am very happy with it. 1300 mile trip and averaged about 1 mpg increase and ride is smooth and quiet. Thanks Mike.

First time I went good service reasonable price, Second time they quoted me an outrageous price (compared prices) and made the vehicle undriveable. Had to have it towed and they were mean about it. My vehicle is ugly and probably not worth their time. Cory told me it would cost almost 800 dollars to fix brakes. I got it done at D & Sons for 150.00 !!! Take your chances if you go here. They might be in a good mood and do you right.

Ive gotten tires at MD Hickman twice. Both time Ive enjoyed the service of the knowledgeable staff. In the latest instance, they went the extra mile to track down the special wheels I needed to get me back on the road the same day. Dont expect all the waiting room amenities of higher prices places. But theyre very good at what they do.

Id say there isnt too many places like this around now days. I pulled up at 5 minutes till close with a blown tire, and of course no spare. They didnt have a tire my size at that location, so one was delivered from other store. The wait was about 40 minutes. But soon as it arrived The man quickly got it fixed and I was on my way.....BUT THE BEST PART IS, HE DONE IT ALL AT NO CHARGE since i had to wait THANKS GUYS

I have gone to these guys twice now and i’ll tell ya, i’m very untrusting of mechanics just because I have been screwed over too many times. I like his place. These guys are laid back, they listen to exactly what you want done and nothing more. They have been quick all the times that I have been there, even days when they have tons of cars in line. They are even nice when to me when I decided to do my own rotor repair and installed a pad backwards... lol I’ll be bringing my car here every time.

I will never Recommend them ever if I could give them a zero I would. I am a woman but Im not stupid. Women be aware of them they think they can rip you off!!!!!!

Took my car in because it was over heating. Told me that my head gasket was leaking and it would cost me $2000 to fix. Then offered to buy it from me for $2000. Pretty sketchy. Then I took it to somebody else and they ran a full diagnostic on it and said it wasn’t leaking, an other head gasket had issues and fixed for $300. Watch out for these guys.

Ive used these guys for years, and so has my family and business fleet. The customer service has really declined, and has steadily gone downhill since the opening of the Chestnut location. I arrived today with one non-repairable tire/wheel fifteen minutes before closing, hoping to have that situation resolved without issue. I also needed to make arrangements for a Monday drop-off, because I wanted a set of 4 matching on the wifes car. Unfortunately, because they had another customer already underway, they just didnt have time for me. Bummer. Looks like Ill be shopping for new tires elsewhere, as well as a new shop for service.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place and the people who work there. I have had several different cars that have needed work of the past year. They have always been AWESOME to us. If you are lookinig for a place that treats you fairly and gets the job done, then you should definitely go see them!!
