BJ is honest and very knowledgeable in the boat industry. Ive never been to another marine repair shop because Im absolutely satisfied with the quality work and prices there.

The team at the boat doc was awesome. I called BJ and told him my small issue I had and as busy as he was, he still made the time to fix my lower unit and talk me though what was happening. I was so fortunate in that moment to have the crew help me get back in the water. Awesome experience.

What can I say. These guys are the best if the best and certainly know what there doing when it comes to there trade. They also have heart and will treat you with the upmost respect. It seems kike Ive known them forever. Keep up the good work guys!!

I am not sure how there are so many good reviews. My boat is worse off than when I took it there to begin with. It cost way more than the quoted price and the motor stopped worked the day after I got it back. Terrible customer service and they were very unprofessional. I would highly recommend taking your boat somewhere else unless you like paying extra for sub-par work.

Jeremy is great to deal with and if you need boat stereo help he is your guy!To be honest, pulling up to their shop I was wondering what I was getting into because their yard is jam packed full of boats and it is an older place out of business area. I have realized that they really just have a lot of business (and probably cant find good skilled help).I highly recommend these guys, maybe to my own detriment if they get more business from my review! 😉

I spoke with BJ on the phone just now and was totally impressed. He is actually willing to show me how to winterize my new boat so I can save a bit of money in the future. He knew exactly how to winterize and maintain my new to me 97 Bayliner Capri. I felt like Ive got a partner in my boat maintenance and he scheduled me in right away.

Bj has been great ever since I took the boat for a shifting problem. He has helped me out every time I’ve called him and has made time for me even when he is super busy. I call him the boat genius. I now travel from Jacksonville, Oregon to have him service my boat. When my boat burned up in the Paradise fire, BJ found its sister boat for me. I called BJ a couple weeks back when I was having problems with my Mercury outboard. I had never spoken with them before. I had worked on it myself and had come up empty-handed. I called him to see if he had any repair openings and he was running a couple weeks behind due to high demand for his services. Instead of scheduling me an appointment for an expensive repair or just blowing me off altogether, he spent 10 minutes of his time going through possibilities to help troubleshoot the problem. Due to his suggestions for a diagnosis, I was able to diagnose the problem on my own. I went in to his shop to say thank you and purchase the needed part. If I ran into any issues with my boat and couldnt handle it myself, he will be the first person I call in the future.

If you want to wait literally 3 years for him to fix your boat go here!Hes had my boat for 3 years and has every excuse in the book on why. Weve not been able to take our summer boat trips and its been a real bummer dealing with him! He fixes it and the first day we take it out--- it blows up. Refuses to come out on the water and see whats going on with it.Also have a couple going through the same experience with him.Would not recommend him to anyone! Bye bye to another summer without my boat! Make that year four!

This guy has the best customer service I have every encountered. I am a new boat owner and he took the time to explain how everything worked on my boat and anytime I call him he will diagnose over the phone and answer any question you might have. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Dont go anywhere else for your marine questions and repair. Awesome experience everytime!!!!

BJ took on a unique project when my outdrive drain plug stripped out. He ended up fixing the issue quickly and very affordably, not even charging me for a small part he already had on hand. BJ could have charged me hundreds of dollars and I would have been happy to pay it, not knowing how easy he was able to fix it. BJ is great to work with and his customer service is exceptional. He is as honest as they come. I will use BJ for repairs as long as I own boats.

We were having a difficult time finding someone to work on our WaveRunner where we live so we looked out of our area and found The Boat Doc. These guys hands-down are the best company we have ever come across in all of our years of owning boats, jet skis etc. BJ, the owner, knows his stuff. He took a lot of extra time to give us the complete run down on our options which we really appreciated. We were surprised at how much he knew about our 14 year old wave runner without having to look it up online. At the end of the day other places quoted us thousands more (complete engine replacement) and it didn’t even need all that which is why we say, “you can trust The Boat Doc for everything from basic inspections to a complete engine rebuild or replacement. “

I have always had a great experience with Boat Doc, the owner and his crew have done a fantastic job every time I brought my jet skis in to have them worked on or even if I just called for questions they were always more than willing to help. My family has used BJ as our boat mechanic for many years and have never been disappointed in his work or the work of his crew.

BJ at the boat doc is a miracle worker.I brought him a small jetboat with a jetski motor that had a ton of problems and he got them fixed right away. I had a couple more issues that came up after a test ride and he fixed them within an hour and got me back on the water.I wouldnt take my boat anywhere else.

I had a pre buyers inspection done by the boat doc. They were fast, friendly, and seemed knowledgeable on my specific boat. The boat was being bought through a dealer, and I appreciated the feeling of honesty and integrity by BJ and the staff here. I felt like I was his customer, even though he does business with this dealer often. The inspection came back flawless, but I believe even if it didnt, I would be the first to know of any problems. He emailed me a spreadsheet detailing the results of the inspection so I could reference it. He seemed like a genuine guy, and Ill definitely be back in the future with my boat.

BJ was awesome to talk to on the phone. I called early... sounded like he was on the road but he took time to answer my questions while trying to narrow down my lack of power issue with a few simple questions. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. His upcoming summer schedule was obviously full (summer time and a Friday) so he couldn’t do my repair today but it was a simple fix I could do on my own so he wakes me through it over the phone and we were back on the water that same day. I must challenge the 1 star reviews as I find them absurd. BJ Cross, owner of The Boat Doc is a professional - as are his mechanics. I have had a boat owner relationship with BJ and his employees for years. As a local and independent small contractor, I understand and watch the bottom line - I have no time for B.S. - if i pay for something to be done, I expect it to be done right. BJ is an honest, educated and thorough boat mechanic (as are the mechanics under his tutelage). I own a larger 1978 boat that had previous owners; its not fancy, but it gets a lot of use. Sometimes there are unforeseen discoveries once work is started - BJ always keeps me in the loop and does not do work without consult. I have personally witnessed his interactions with multiple customers - in every instance, he has extended the same professionalism.

We have a 2001 Sky Supreme V-Drive that we use all the time... Were pretty rough on our equipment and these guys have taken great care of it for the 5 years weve owned it. Weve had 2 impellers, CPM, idler wheel, throttle cable & winterization every year. These guys are the real deal.
