The first part of my experience was good, which was ordering and paying for the washer and dryer. Customer service was very good and pricing was reasonable. However, I was very disappointed when I had to ask delivery guys to wear masks in my house. They were very resistant. Its my house! I have medical reasons for this. Businesses that go into private homes should have the courtesy to comply with the homeowners request. The dryer was too wide to fit through the door, so they told me I had to call the store to make payment arrangements for the extra fee to take the dryer apart. It took six tries and 3 different people to finally get that done. Does it make sense? Why couldnt they take my extra $50 right there onsite? Then when they were done they told me I was going to need to have a plumber come out and install the washer hose, which was another surprise. I will choose a different company next time.

Received a delivery of 3 new appliances yesterday. I wanted praise the delivery men. They were excellent! Very professional, efficient, thorough, and friendly. The appliances arrived in perfect condition and were tested before they left. A great job. It was a pleasure doing business with Delaware Valley Appliance. I recommend anyone looking for new appliances check them out before you go anywhere else.

I have purchased many appliances, used service, referred family. Never had problem until now. I was quoted a cost for service and part, now they want to add $200 to original quote. Left several messages before called back, this was after almost 2 weeks. I will not be using them, or purchase any more alliances.

I recommend this locally owned appliance store. After a couple of early hiccups with my fridge order, Don,the owner worked swiftly with me to correct some early issues. They were able to get me a new fridge within a few days, when the big box stores had a long wait list . The showroom in Springfield has a variety of samples. Joe and Jeremy, the delivery guys were professional and respectful of my space when they installed the fridge.If you’re in the market for a new appliance, give this Delco family owned store a try!

We recently bought a washer and dryer from this store, and the experience was great. The delivery crew did a fantastic job getting the washer and dryer down the steps of our basement even though there was only about a half inch clearance on either side. I highly recommend them and will definitely come back here for any appliance purchases in the future.

This company is wonderful! I will definitely buy my future appliances here. The sales people Steve and Beth were very informative and helpful. They patiently helped me find a dishwasher that would fit in my home.The installers -- Phil, Troy, Joey and another gentleman whose name I didnt get -- were competent, thoughtful and efficient. They needed to return to remove the legs of my old dishwasher, but called me back the next day to finish the work in a jiff.Im super pleased from start to finish. Great prices and service. They price matched the big chain stores, so you dont have to worry about being ripped off. If you are considering buying local and I hope you do, I highly recommend Delaware Valley Appliances. Too short staffed to return phone calls. Too busy to be polite. I was ready to buy an appliance sight unseen and they were so busy they couldnt even get a sentence complete before another interruption. Selection limited too.

First I would like to say the guy leaves a lot of his appliances outdoors in the snow rain and sun. Just look in Google maps street view. In October 2020 I bought 2 appliances from this guy. First was a New washer NO problems yet. However the other was a used dryer. I got the used dryer installed and a short time later 4 weeks the electronic board on the dryer went bad. When the dryer top was taken off and the drum taken out the whole bottom was rusted to Hell. So I cant even leave a message because his answering machine is filled and wont allow any new messages. Thats got to be a lot of unanswered messages. So I called the other phone number for new appliances and the lady gave me a ton of attitude she made it seem like I had no right to call that number to to ask what I should do about my dryer being broken. I will never shop there I will never recommend anyone and I certainly will never deal in any way shape or form with any of big Dons appliances ever again.

I had to call for weeks without a call back which should been an indication not to use them. But I did and while the machines were on the truck - knowing I had a dog bc it was right next to them. They left the door open my dog is hit and after all the trauma of seeing that no apologies no I am so sorry all I get from the owner and those who work there is well they leave the door open. Not I am sorry it was an oversight - my puppy was right next to them and or we should have waited until we were ready to do work not just leaving wide open. And then they didn’t even finish the job. I had to call Monday and then Tuesday for a job that was supposed to be done on a Saturday that I already paid for to chase them down to finish it. Horrible people and company stay away. People talk about Mom and Pop which is why I went here - they could care less about anything. A major retailer would be more professional and care more. They said they wanted to take back the washer dryer because I was unhappy they wouldn’t finish a job that I paid for. Their solution after I called then 4 times to get someone to finish a job I paid for was to come to my house and take back the washer and dryer I paid for and refund me. Which is lunacy. I wanted someone to finish the job I paid for. I wanted the washer and dryer which is why I bought them. That was their solution to refund me? This isn’t a business it’s a joke. Stay away.

I bought an Electric GE oven that they recommended and had in stock. It was also highly rated in Consumer Reports. Ive bought from a fridge from Delaware Valley Appliances 2-3 years ago and they are always helpful and friendly.

I would actually give 10 stars. They helped pick something much better than what I was looking at. They match the prices of the big chain stores and were licensed to have the refrigerator open, to the left side, which the installers at Lowes, ate not. The installers were so professional and personal pleasant, you could, see it was a difficult job, but they were joking and making look easy. They even helped us out going inline filling out the warranty, and rebate forms.

Just recieved delivery of a new dishwasher and the delivery guys were absolutely awesome! They showed up on time, personable, & professional. Just an absolute pleasure to have them in my home. Goid customer service is hard to come by these days. I highly recommend these guys if shopping for new appliances. I will definitely be using their services in the future. Thank you!! ~

I purchased a refrigerator from this facility and was recommended by a competitor. The sale rep was very nice. When purchasing from them, their inventory was very light. They had very few selections. When we settled on a refrigerator, they agreed to price match, but would take any additional percentage off on the floor model. The company also charges a 35 dollar delivery fee, which it competitors dont. My issue with company relates to removal. Initially, I didnt have the old refrigerator removed. However, when I spoke to several people from the company, they informed over a month that they had no problem with taking it. Recently, was told two days in a row that it would be removed. When I called about it, the women stated it was on the list to be taken care of. When I spoke with a gentlemen the next day, he stated it wasnt being removed, he clicked over while I was speaking, and hung the phone up on me when asking to speak to the owner. When I called back, I spoke to a women who essentially asked for 50 dollars for removal. When I asked, why wasnt that mentioned before? She became angry and stated, we are not removing the refrigerator and hung the phone up on me. This is a long post. I believe in supporting local businesses and part of the reason why I paid more for the product overall. Needless to say, I do not recommend this company. After they receive your funds, they dont care about your business. I regret purchasing from them. I recommend purchasing from Lowes or Home Depot, this company does not believe in good customer service and residual relationships.

Ordered a dishwasher. Was delivered on-time and expertly installed. We have worked with Delaware Valley Appliances, Inc. before. They are first rate. For major appliances, they are the go to place. Always nice, straight up, no surprises.

Have been told about this place for years and finally had the opportunity to stop by for a washing machine. Marianne could not have been more helpful, guiding us through all the options and helping with the manufacturer section. Most importantly, the price was great and offered next day delivery. What a pleasure it is not having to go to those big box stores and getting real help. Would not hesitate to go back.

The down home atmosphere is rather different than the big box stores. It is like shopping for something for your kitchen in your living room. But do you know what else is different? The fantastic customer service with a living heart, the amazing prices, and the affordable professional installation. My hot water heater stopped working on Thursday night and by friday afternoon, Joe came out, diagnosed the problem and had the new water heater ordered for the next day. Mike showed up at 1:30pm Saturday and hauled the old water heater away by himself and installed the new one. He was extremely professional and efficient. I had hot water by 6pm. Overall, the transaction was simple and costed hundreds less than I anticipated. Other companies quoted me at $1200-1500 or more over the phone and I spent a total of $850 with big dons. Highly, highly recommend.

Just had my new GE dishwasher installed by Tim. The service from the store was great but, I have to say, Tim was stupendous. What a personable and highly competent guy. An all round excellent experience with Delaware Valley Appliances. I recommend you give them a try before you head to the big box stores.

I will never buy another appliance at Home Depot or Best Buy. What incredible customer service. . They are prompt, knowledgeable, competent, and fairly priced. The owner Joe loves what he does and has the best costumer service I have ever experienced. I keep telling my friends about good old fashion customer service. I had a 3 year old dryer from Home Depot I called them to repair dryer. . Home Depot no longer had that dryer and couldnt help me. Joe was the sixth repair man I called. Wow there was no comparison to the others.He came took the dryer repaired it and his men brought it back the next day. . He has saved me thousands of dollars. .I am a loyal customer!!

Bought washer and dryer on 9/10 came out delivery washer and dryer but never hooked up new gas line and did not reverse washer door. They scheduled to come out on Friday 9/20 but guy had wedding. Reschedule for Tuesday 9/24 from 1-4 get call at 4 got can’t make now they tell me tomorrow 10-1 will see think twice before u buy from these guys

When you first go in you may notice that theres not a large selection however if you have a particular make and model in mind they are able to look Whatever item up your looking for via computer and have it delivered to youUpdate.I brought a refrigerator back in 2017 and just started to have problems with it. I purchased a 4-year warranty along with my new appliance with New Leaf warrenty. Delaware Valley Appliance is initially helpful when trying to sell the product but when you have a problem with it they do not reinforce the warranty through New Leaf and you are never able to contact anyone at New Leaf. BUYERS BEWARE: do not purchase a warranty through Delaware Valley Appliance it is money down the drain youre better off going to a big retail where they will honor their warranty.

Delaware Valley appliances is the best kept secret. Its a mom and pop spot with high-end merchandise. They work with you and give you great deals. And they will deliver your merchandise within 1 or 2 days.

I am just so impressed with Delaware Valley! Went in last night, chose a washer and refrigerator. Our salesgirl, Marianne, was super. Not pushy at all, and very knowledgeable. Answered every question we had. So, they called this morning to say theyd be here before noon. Arrived about 10:30 and by 11:30, everything was installed and old appliances gone. They were very nice, as well. So, from sales, to installation, this place is number one for me. Hard to come by service like this. Oh, I forgot, great prices, too.

I purchased a refrigerator in 2017 and a washing machine in 2018. Good tax free prices if you pay cash scam. Customer service not so good. The 1st day my washing machine was scheduled for delivery was a no call/no show. It was however delivered the next day. Within ONE week I realized the machine was unbalanced so I called Marianne (store worker) to request someone come out to balance it. After 4 days lapsed I called her to follow up. She said she FORGOT!!!! I had already called Maytag and they had a tech out within 48 hrs. Not only was my brand new washing machine unbalanced, the siphoning hose had been secured too far down in the drain for my brand new washing machine to function correctly. The Maytag Man asked me where I purchased my machine and before I could finish saying Delaware Val...he did and said he was NOT surprised!!!!???... OH WELL, at least I saved on the tax!!!!

Stop there I needed the extra large freezer I could not find one anywhere at all happened to drop by there in the gentleman was so nice and cooperative and got me the freezer I needed at an excellent price and even delivered it the following day. I would definitely recommend shopping at this place

Do NOT use for service.when I called, I picked number 1 for service.Answered Professional Sales & Servicescheduled me for 2 days later for my service call. Repairman came in a pickup truck, no name on it. after 10 minutes said needed two common parts that he didnt have. He said he would be back that afternoon or the next day. he didnt come back until 3 days later after I complained. He came back spent an entire 15 minutes to complete service. total of 25 minutes for call and I was charged $148.45,the receipt for bill came from Glenolden ,Pa, credit card charged for bill by Big Dons appliances of Collingdale, Pa.If I knew that Delaware Valley appliance used subcontractors, I WOULDVE NEVER USED THEM.

Needed a dishwasher and DVA was recommended. The “showroom” is small with only 1 person on staff to serve customers, who was helpful and courteous but not very adept at computer usage. He spent a lot of time placing orders into the system but was super slow, causing other customers to wait unnecessarily. Honestly, it made more sense to do it old-school and write the orders down then getting someone to add it into their computers later. Had the dishwasher delivered and installed but couldn’t figure out why the dishes weren’t coming out clean. After calling DVA during their business hours and not getting through to anyone, I finally stopped in to schedule a service call. Not to my surprise, the only staff person was adding in an order for someone who was buying every appliance imaginable. One other customer was there before me waiting for assistance. After a 30 min wait in the showroom, I was able to schedule a service call for the following week. As it would be ridiculous to wait that long, we tried to troubleshoot the problem. Apparently, the install team forgot to turn the water back on, which caused it to run dry loads. Left a message on the DVA main number and service line to explain what the installation crew neglected to do and cancelled the service call. Never received a call back with an apology or follow up. I value and support small businesses when I can but this just didn’t live up to the hype. I’ll shop elsewhere for my appliances from now on.

Had their service dept. come over and check out a washer which I bought from them. Told me the wrong information on what was wrong with it, per Speed Queen . After making at least 4 phone calls , one of them I was told the owner would call back havent heard from them since August. They just take message . Im not use to this from them.

Terrible services. Order a air conditioner last Friday. My brother was told that it would be in on Tuesday so we can pick it up. Tuesday comes rolling around he got a call and they told him sorry that it would not be in until Friday. Friday rolls around no call or anything. My brother decided to give them a call on Saturday morning to ask them if it is in yet. The sale person on the phone said they do not delivery on weekends so it would not be in until Monday. I have no idea what kind of business they are running but it is terrible service.

Don’t buy or sell this business used washers & dryers. Charges $200 for used items he wants to buy for $20 or $40. Invest in a new item if you can and let scammers like these businesses fade themselves out of the market. Rude and unprofessional ownership.
