Compressor was upside down on crate when I received from FedEx, needless to say it was pretty smashed up. I was able to use the unit until the replacement arrived. Northern Tool made it good by shipping the replacement immediately and the return of the damaged unit was not too much of a hastle but I did have to drive it 30 minutes to the shipping company as directed. I could have been compensated for my time and effort with a coupon or something but whatever.

Love this place !!! Its like a upgraded harbor freight but much better ! Jennifer, Nick, Sam, & J.D. were so polite, extremely helpful and down to earth. Its been the best in store experience Ive had in a long time. Their prices are great as well in the sales were STELLAR 😊 we will havent been there before I highly suggest you check it out. It is a great store as far as selection but the checkout service was ridiculous! The man in front of us had to go to his truck and the girl just left us standing there. Then the manager came up and decided to play big shot instead of taking care of customers!

First time there staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable was able to find everything I had I needed and several items that I had been wanting but havent been able to find another stores very large selection when it comes to trailers and tools will definitely be going back pricing was more than fair and if youre lucky enough to find something that you needed or wanted on clearance the possibilities of saving a lot of money was extremely high

I ordered a propane garage heater from northern tool website. Was supposed to be shipped within 2 weeks of order date. Received email from northern tool the day it was supposed to be shipped that heater was out of stock from manufacturer and shipment would be delayed by a month. So I ordered same heater from a different supplier. Received both heaters within a day of each other. Went to send heater back to store locally but had to be shipped directly back to manufacturer. Had to get RMA from northern tool through manufacturer. Sent back product to manufacturer. Received email from northern tool that they did not receive the return product. Thank god I saved the tracking info. Provided tracking info to northern tool. Never received refund. Called back to wait 2 hours on hold with no agent to take my call. Had to call back again to explain situation about not receiving return and previous wait on hold with no agent for current agent to argue with me and say well I don’t know why you had to wait so long. They weren’t very busy and that wait time is unheard of. For refund to be submitted correctly which was not completed correctly by the previous customer agent who helped me. I did get my refund within another couple of days. But then northern tool charged me a 15% restocking fee. So I didn’t even get my full refund. Given the time and energy that I put into this return and the lack of competence and rude behavior of the customer service agents, I should be charging them a 15% fee. Will definitely never order anything from northern tool online and to be honest would rather pay more money from another place who treats their customers with decency and respect.

First time there and was pleasantly surprised at all the quality brand tools. The customer service was outstanding and the cashier was a hoot. They carry my favorite power tool brand in Milwaukee so I will be going there often. Recamend this store to anyone. Just the employees alone made it a fun place to shop.

Most businesses work hard to sell their products I walked in the door was ignored by 2 service Personal approach them with an item number of product I wanted it was unavailable and they were not allowed to sell me the floor demo as I was looking another customer was told he would have to come back tomorrow to purchase an item that was on a high shelf. I will make a concerted effort to avoid this store as they made no effort to help me.

Terrible!! Didnt inspect the welder before they loaded it. Got home, removed the cardboard and a huge dent in the top sheet metal. I drove for over an hour each direction and now I have to drive back. Im so disgusted!!

They happen to have the length of air hose i was looking for in stock; Goodyear brand 50ft for 30 bucks, I was pleased. Nice wide selection of different types of commercial grade tools and equipment. Prices are definitely competitive.

Purchased a mr. Heater on line was pleased with the delivery and quality of unit at a reasonable price , so I have returned to purchase a tankless hot water heater also on line awaiting delivery with a very optimistic expectation due to the great service last purchase I recommend these folks.

Every thing i have bought from northern tool has been right on and the shipping was better then any one out there if they say a week you normally get it in a few days been buying from northern tools now for 20 yrs not had to return any thing and if parts are missing i called them and had the missing part with in 2 days love the ez of buying best out therefor the money again costumer service are some of the best over all others

Shopping in-store is easy, they do match their online pricing in that rare case the pricing is different. I did have issues getting their coupon to apply to an online order, but eventually got that worked out. Easy parking lot pick-up for in-stock at the store items. Nice pricing.

I enjoy shopping at Northern Tool more online than in store because online & catalog offer more variety. Yet I love the fact that we now have a local store. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Wish the store was much larger so that they could have more items on display

Worst customer service . will not handle a defective item will drop your calls an promise to have someone call you but that never happens.

I strongly suggest not making any online orders from this company. They are totally unorganized and evidently dont have control over their order system. Contacted customer service IMMEDIATELY (literally within minutes) upon submitting an order made with an error. Tried to cancel, even had multiple email encounters with staff, however Northern Tool didnt ultimately cancel said order and now requires shipping and restocking fees to be subtracted from any refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Stopped by here for the first time. Decent selection of tools and hardware. Unfortunately they did not have what I needed at the time I was there.I know the store is new and I hope with time this will change, but staff could be a little bit more knowledgeable about what they sell. I spent too much time running around the store with an associate trying to find something and just giving up. I was in a hurry so it is partly my fault. I want able to give enough time to locate what I needed.I will be returning though and hope things get better.

Visited this location on Oct.22. 11am. I have been in retail my entire life. I have never seen a new store so understaffed. Just opening you should have all registers manned. Waited 15 min. In only one cashier line for 2 people ahead of me . 3 employees walked to counter and not 1 offered to help. I will not go back.

Bought a yard trailer from them online and needed new tires. Of course they are not “standard” and you don’t know that when you purchase. Not available at the store or anyplace till maybe June or July? A tire? That’s like buying a new car and they don’t make tires to replace the original. Cannot order and will not allow phone order and payment. Still selling trailer in store but no parts? Really? Cashier is just meh and not at all interested in anything. Again, Store is clean and some good buys occasionally, but overall very underwhelmed.

Called the Springfield Mo. store and asked if they had the 4ft x 8ft trailers in stock for $469.99 told me they were in stock. Told her I was on my way to pick one up. Drove 45 miles to get there to find out they did NOT have any in stock but did have what I didn’t want. So a total waste of time and gas in my truck for nothing!

I had gotten an ad on 11/27/2020 and the air compressor (an ironton 20 gallon) is on sale. But when you go to order or try to buy it they say its discontinued . Why would you advertise something you cant sell ? Your add people should be on top of these things.

It was expensive. They have a pretty good selection of tools. Their employees left a bad first impression. I Immediately encountered 3 within the first minute of arriving and two were conversing amongst themselves about their personal lives and the 3rd was complaining about a project at the store outloud to himself. After probably 20 minutes the 3rd employee came up and asked if I needed help,which was nice, then at the checkout I encountered 1 of the first 2 and he was very friendly then..not sure what I think.
