Doctor Kerns is my optometrist and shes great. Shes funny and obviously enjoys what she does. Shes a pleasure. Unfortunately the reception staff is awful. On my first visit the older woman at the check in desk was very much apathetic and flat. I let it go as it was 8:00 AM and mornings can be rough for everyone. The check out girl, who was maybe 20, couldnt tell me what my copay was and she forgot to schedule my next appointment. I ended up having to call back, but after waiting on hold for eight minutes I hung up.I had a contact evaluation today, and when I went to the contact desk the receptionist there pointed me to the main check in area. The main check in area had me go back to the contact area. The contact area receptionist I spoke with was a sour woman of roughly 300 lbs, and was somewhat rude. She apologized for the inconvenience, but you could tell she was annoyed. On the plus side, the tech that did my contact eval was very nice.While the clinical staff is excellent, the reception staff is substandard. Im not sure its worth going back.
