Big new open space location with bright views, plenty of space, and fantastic location and excellent service is why I am giving this Skaggs a five-star review! I frequent this store to see what theyve got and they carry some of my favorite brands like 5.11 Tactical and Under Armour gear. I have my eyes on a hot pair of shades there and I gotta give a shout out to the girls who helped me out with my service needs, both at their old location and in the old Callister building, their new location, Heather and Allison :)

Most incompetent place ever. Every year it’s a problem with them. I’ve been waiting for 7 items for over a month. I call them, of course they never call me as they’re supposed to but they take my money just fine. Only 2 of my seven items are ready, hats that they already hat in stock and all they had to do was put the agency logo on, which is supposed to be a 3 day turn around. Then they say they haven’t received any of the other items yet, even though my partner went in a week ago, and got the items off the shelf. When I called, I can hear them saying they forgot to pull the item for my order, but when they get back on the phone they told me they haven’t come in yet. Total lie, incompetent staff, do not care about their customers. They have a contract with us, so they get their money either way. Horrible place.

Ive had my fair share of headaches here, however it has little to nothing to do with the actual floor staff but rather management and how things are ran by policy (ie supply chains). Staff is fantastic and have provided me with satisfactory customer service when things are in their control. Me and another coworker arrived just before closing to be fitted for and order Class A uniforms, and Ashlie was cheerful and comedic as well as FAST in getting us both taken care of (while paying attention to detail). We were there for a half hour after close and she still was able to get us everything we needed while remaining very friendly and patient with us. Thanks for taking care of us Ashlie!

These people are really bad at answering the phone. They told me they would have my things ready by a week but I have received a call and whenever I call them nobody answers. I leave a voice-mail and still nobody gets back to you pathetic with there was other uniform companies to by from.

I’m with Harmony Home Health and Hospice and our nurses were in dire need of masks to deal with patients. Skaggs provided 200 for us and were the Hero’s of the day! Skaggs is always a hit and miss but for the most part they try thier best to help everyone in a timely manner. If you get to work with Kim youre in really really good hands. Shes got an energetic spunk that makes the experience awhole lot better! I’m not one to typically write a review, but this place hands down the worst company to deal with. Your orders are never done promptly, and when you call to get an update, all you get is,” Did someone call you?”. If I had any other options, I would use it, Skaggs cares about their bottom line, not about providing quality service to its customers. And judging by all the other 1 star ratings I am not the only person that feels this way.

Just barely left Skaggs after being helped by Ashley. She was great and helped me get all my uniforms. She was polite and professional. Also alterations was kind enough to finish my uniforms while I was there so I didn’t need to come back another day! Awesome customer service all around and very much appreciated!

I had a conversation with Ryan today and he was nothing short of amazing! He was helpful, courteous, polite, and had a sense of humor, which was great. His customer service was wonderful!I cant imagine that these reviews are accurate and it kind of makes me chuckle that the people who get paid to treat others like liars and criminals dont like being on the opposite end of someones authority.Theres so many variables that go into making a jacket from scratch, sometimes its trial and error to get the right fit and mistakes happen, but it seems like they will resolve them right away.Just because theyre not bending to your will and catering to your every whim and fantasy, doesnt mean they are in the wrong.They have policies that hold you accountable as a customer and you might not like it, but thats how it goes, sometimes.I also work with Tom, another employee of Skaggs. Hes one of the kindest people Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. I came to this store with an undisclosed amount of cash in my pocket ready to spend. I had the idea of supporting a local company because COVID-19 is causing an economical crisis, and I figured they would welcome the business. I wanted to browse plate carriers and possibly try some on to see what I like. The gentleman at the counter wouldnt help or sell to me because Im not a LEO. He told me the only LEO can buy that kind of stuff. NOT true!!!! I can buy a plate carrier and plates all day long anywhere else. Just because Im a civilian doesnt mean I dont have the training and knowledge. Skaggs missed out on a possible $1000+ purchase, paid in full today. Ill take my money elsewhere for now on.

Skaggs, UT is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. If I could give them a -10*s I would! The Sales Rep, Amanda, was uninformed and unprofessional to say the least. She measured me completely wrong, and when I attempted to question her about it, she replied youre only going to get fatter so we will go with my measurements. The vest was also supposed to come with (2) vest carriers without tails as requested. I only received (1) vest carrier with tails. 12 weeks later, after being told it would only take 6-8 weeks to arrive, my vest came in completely oversized. I then spoke to a manager, Ryan, to start the exchange/return process. Ryan was also completely unhelpful and refused to work with me unless I went through my agency rep. My agency rep however was out of the office for an extended amount of time and I was about to hit the streets. I asked Ryan to clarify some of the requests he had for the new measurements. How do you adjust measurements that are outside of the allowable adjustments? I ended up using a local company to properly measure me for a new vest. With the new measurements, Ryan still refused to work with me and the new measurements unless I used my agency rep. Even though I thought he wrote them down over the phone, he still contacted my agency rep to get the measurements. Better yet, Ryan seemed confused about how to use the measurement sheet himself. Perhaps that is because Skaggs, UT does not appear to be a Safariland Vendor. Ryan then had the audacity to call my agency and complain about me not using my agency rep. Sorry Ryan that I inconvenienced you because I was severely concerned about my safety! I would not recommend this company to anyone interested in this type of equipment. Their knowledge about what they sell was inadequate. Furthermore, their customer service was less than professional. In reading other reviews, it sounds like this is common practice for Skaggs, UT.

I love this place! Ive been working with them for a while now on an ongoing basis and they do a great job at taking care of their customers and making sure you get the right product every time. I didnt realize they dont just serve police officers and public departments, but also regular people like me. Its really awesome, I highly recommend checking them out!

I, routinely, spend at least 45 minutes just waiting to be helped. I never see floor associates, just everyone behind a counter. My most recent visit resulted in an hour waiting for help, to be told, I’ll be right back, and then have the individual start helping someone else. If I could give this place no stars I, most certainly, would. Ive worked over 20 years of retail in my life and have never seen an operation with this many people working, and accomplishing so little in such a long period of time.

Waited 30 minutes with not a single soul coming to help. We walked in to get boots and there was a guy helping another customer and then completely disappeared. They had two ladies at the counter checking the 8 people who were waiting in line. Overall horrible customer service. They either need more employees or employees that don’t hide when customers show up. We ended up leaving and unsatisfied with the service.

Ordered a shirt from Staggs Had it altered to allow a radio on the front when I received it back with a bunch of other clothes I noticed a white streak on the shirt where the item had been altered. I asked and was told it was marking chalk. Took it home and washed it and low and behold it’s actually a burn on the shirt that won’t come off. Contacted Skaggs and was told to bring the shirt back in. I did and was met by staff. I was told that they couldn’t have caused the damage to it and in the end they couldn’t have done it so the assumption is they believe me to be a liar and they would not be replacing the shirt. It would not be such a big deal if it was from my uniform allowance but I paid for it with my money. I then I paid for the alteration. And was in short accused of being a liar. These shirts take months to get. I am going on 5 months waiting on the second shirt like this I ordered.

Been shopping here for a few years now. Ive always had good service. Even more so when getting uniforms done. Theyve always been willing to rush items. I had pants I needed the next day for a shift. They were able to get them hemmed while I waited. Costs for items is also very reasonable.

Went in looking for boots. I dont remember the lady who helped me but she brought out three different style boots I was interested in and because I have such a small foot she also brought out several sizes until we found the best fit. I couldnt have asked for better service. Great experience for me.

I ordered a jacket through my agency but was supposed to pay for it on my own. I called with in the month of receiving my jacket and got the run around about who I was supposed to talk to. I explained that all I wanted to do was to pay my bill and it seemed odd that they couldnt find someone to take my money. I finally got someone willing to talk to me and I paid with my debit card over the phone. Several months later I got an email from my supervisor telling me to pay my bills because Skaggs wrote them saying I, and several others, had not paid. I called our sales rep directly and she apologized and said they had some recent accounting issues and not to worry about it. Several months later I get a copy of the invoice and a hand written nasty gram from my supervisor telling me to pay ASAP!!! Evidently they dont have record for several of us as having paid. I pulled up the transaction record and emailed it to our sales rep. Im still not confident they will get it figured out. There is no reason for me to do business with them. I will take my uniform business elsewhere.

Bad costumer service all around. I live in Utah County and I have driven up there 4 times for them to complete my simple order of adding new patches and an embroidery. They have completely ruined my shirts. The lady at the register had to call a manager to find out what they should do with my ruined shirts and she told me he would call me in a few minutes. I had to leave the store and will have to drive back up from Utah county again because I was waiting so long for an answer. I didnt get a call back for 5 days.

Horrible customer service. Plan on every person in line to take 30-45 minutes of wait time. They have employees everywhere but there system is not optimal. Ordered an item over a month ago. I came in 3 times, within that month, to see if it was done. It wasnt done until I made it an issue out of it. Then it magically showed up THAT day!

Repeated issues with myself and my staff with incorrect, late, and lost orders. The location is very inconvenient. Excellent selection. The shop itself is clean. Love the free cookies. Employees are friendly and professional on occasion and sometimes helpful. I can only imagine the 5 star reviews were written by their own employees. 13 years in law enforcement and Ive yet to associate the word efficient with this place.

They no longer have postal uniforms in stock. Was the only place where you could actually try on items. I unfortunately would find pant, shirts, etc that fit and say fine Ill take 3 of these 4 of those hem them the same as last order and go from there. Problem is when they stopped carrying the items they also got rid of all history. I have no idea what size Ive been buying and now have to go online and hope for the best. This sucks, a bit of forewarning would have been great. Thanks for nothing Skaggs.Edit: none of the sizes in postal uniforms are the same you wear in regular clothing so you can not use that as a guide.

Great experience getting measured yesterday for custom boots by the wonderful Karen Pearson. As someone who creates custom wardrobe and apparel for others, it is a pleasure when I am also treated with such similar care, respect and methodical attention to detail. Very courteous treatment by her as well as all of the staff there, despite the fact Im not even in the public protection industry. My sons high school uses Skaggs for alterations of their JROTC uniforms. This was my first experience with needing to have this done, so I wasnt sure what to do or where to go. I was politely greeted after waiting in line for no longer than a couple of minutes. The woman knew exactly what I needed and had us in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. It couldnt have gone more smoothly.

Terrible customer service-be prepared to wait one hour to go through multiple workers if you want to find someone who can get what you want done right. I’ve never seen a business with so many workers getting so little done. My place of employment is stuck with Skaggs and not a SINGLE ONE of us is happy with this place. Complete waste of a lot of time. After 40 minutes of waiting I had to go and demand help. Then I find that they dont carry size 5 (size 7 for women) but they can order them. Over two weeks later and we hadnt gotten a call so we went down to check and they were there. There was also a note attached to send them back to the warehouse if they werent picked up just two days after we showed up. Again, they never called us to let us know they were in. Turns out I needed a half size bigger. No one answers the phones there so I went down and luckily had a good experience this time - they ordered a size 5.5 no problem. Its been two weeks now and they called to let me know they dont carry half sizes and would I like to ORDER a size 6 because of course they dont have it in the store. That would have made it 6 weeks to try and get one pair of boots. Needless to say I cancelled my order and will be taking my business to 5.11 Tactical.

Unfortunately I have to deal with this company on a regular basis. Every time I call or go in I am disappointed with their customer service. If you can go somewhere else do so.2020 update: I have been trying since December 2019 to get a uniform tee shirts with no success. I was assured that my shirt order would be done in two weeks. After a month I checked and the staff stated that it would be another couple weeks. This company continues to lower the bar in customer service.

I ordered one shirt that needed three letters stitched on the day before Christmas eve, today is January 23rd and I have yet to receive my order. The staff at Skaggs are amazing. I called because I was having trouble ordering on their website. They sent me to their web guy, he said hed fix that issue, then I spoke to their sales person. She got my boots to the shipping/receiving people and I had them on my porch the. Next. Day. They didnt even charge me extra beyond the standard shipping. Since Ive seen so many bad reviews on this place I thought Id share my latest experience there. I went to Skaggs this morning for uniform supplies. I needed some assistance and a young woman named Olivia helped me out. She was very kind and courteous and went out of her way for me. I had issues with some of the embroidery that was going to be used. She did everything she could to get what I requested. I have been here several times and had items on backorder. I have gotten everything that was backordered in a timely manner and it was sent to my house by them since I live some distance from the store. Thanks to all for the great service.

The worst customer service in the world. I have never had to wait so long anywhere to get anything done/ordered or have a sales person ask me what I needed. The store is never stocked with anything that people actually need. Their prices on products are WAY more expensive than anywhere in the world, not just a little higher, a lot higher. It takes forever to get clothing tailored, or patches added to uniforms. If I wasnt required to buy uniform stuff from them, Id never set foot in this store.

Terrible customer service. I called for almost two weeks before I was blessed with an actual person. The receptionist would tell me I was being transferred to a certain person just to get a different persons voicemail promising a call back, and after 5 messages I never did get that call, it seems like since they have a gov. contract they just dont care. Finally, after getting maybe a bit aggressive, I got through to the person I was told would answer my call, but had to be paged to her about three times. She was super nice and friendly, the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. I also dont understand why it takes so long, Ive worked with plenty of other uniform and branding companies who never have as long of a turnaround.

Absolutely worthless. The staff are very unprofessional and they just order your stuff whenever its convenient for them. They ordered the wrong size of boots I needed and to get the replacements took a month and a half. Then to top it off they wouldnt exchange them when I drove a hour and a half up to do it. Mind you they told me over the phone that they would change them out no problem. Dont waste your time with these guys. Worthless.

Store hours could be a lot more accommodating after all the clients are public safety. But when your making money like a bank I guess your clients dont matter. Once again, Skaggs drops the ball. On July 23rd, I ordered some Under Armor boots in a wide, because God forbid they actually stock boots in a wide size, and was told they would be here in 2-3 weeks. I contacted them on Aug. 31st because I had not heard from them. They tell me that Under Armor has them on backorder and it will probably be another month.However, I looked on Under Armors website and it shows that they are in fact IN STOCK! Also Amazon shows that they are in stock and ship directly from Under Armor within 2-3 days. Kind of amazing that the manufacturer has them in stock, but somehow Skaggs tells me they are backordered. Do they even realize that the internet exists and people can fact check into what they claim?Skaggs is utterly ridiculous. There is absolutely no reason that it should take them 2 or more months to get in a pair of boots that Under Armor, Amazon, and other retailers can ship within 2-3 days!!I hate shopping at Skaggs, but unfortunately I have to because it is who my agency is contracted with for uniforms.Stay away from Skaggs. Customer service at its worst.

This review was made on 4/6/17. I placed my order in late December of 2016... I understand that there was a back order from the manufacturer... But in the last 5 weeks (still have not received anything) I have had the run around. With multiple promised dates of me having them in hand... Lets see if this 4th new promise date will hold up! btw its just two new polo shirts... My local uniform stores are overpriced and take forever, but it looks like Ill go back to them since they get my stuff to me in 2-3 months not 4-5 months like Skaggs...

DO NOT ORDER FROM SKAGGS! I ordered and PAID in person for a pair of boots on 10.29.18, I was told 10 days. Called 11.15.18, no boots. Called 11.20.18 no boots and was told two things, one boot on backorder and also that Skaggs did not have enough of an order for the vendor to ship. They have to have a certain amount for the vendor to ship an order. I was told I would have my boots by mid December. Called 12.18.18, no boots, verified it was not on backorder, verified they had enough of an order placed with vendor, they promised boots by mid January and would be shipped directly to me. Called 1.24.19, no boots, Skaggs said they just received an order that day, my boots were not with it, told me to give it til Monday the 28th because the vendor sent the shipment on 1.21.19, so I should be getting it and if not then call and they can get a tracking number for me. Called 1.28.19, no boots, was told they would be here March 1st, yes MARCH 1, 2019!! I ordered them October 29, 2018. Heres the thing, I felt like I was dealing with Comcast, the customer service was friendly and nice but completely unhelpful. I feel like this is an ongoing issue with this company and nothing gets done to remedy the problem. They have contracts with companies so why do they need to fix the problem? Again they were always polite and appeared to try to help but at the end of the day I have waited for 3 months for a paid for pair of boots that may or may not come by March 1st. I would not recommend ordering from this store, save yourself the time and frustration.

Customer service is such a joke. They never have anything in stock, and then when they order it in, they never call you to tell you to come pick it up. They have given me the wrong uniforms, they are too expensive, and the staff has been downright rude at times. Honestly, find literally ANYWHERE else to take your uniform business.

What a terribly run company! We waited over an hour for one simple measurement while employees sat around and talked, others rushing around but doing nothing. They took our money but even two months later we never got our order. Then we were left on hold over 15 minutes trying to check on it. Fair warning, shop anywhere but here!

My Employer has a contract with Skaggs. They ordered me some pants 3 weeks ago. They are supposed to be delivered to my employer. Theyre not in yet, Im willing to drive down (over 50 miles, 1 way) and pick up my uniforms, but they wont even answer the phone so I can see if they are ready.

I ordered my uniforms shirts in size medium when I picked them up they were size small. I cant physically fit into a small. I was told that they will not let me change them out or get a refund.

I called by phone to check for a specific pair ofhandcuffs, I was on hold for a very long time, they told me they have the cuffs in the store, I drove to the store for them to tell me they dont have them but they could order them for me. I could have ordered them through the phone instead of wasting my time and gas to tell me they dont have the product at the store. Always the same issue.

Rude, not educated on their product lines, not able (or willing) to suggest options for solving a problem - felt like they went out of their way to show me that I was a nobody to them. They took a week and still havent shipped an In Stock item to me. Canceled my order.
