Nice atmosphere with good specialty coffee & cocktails. I like that they serve Michigans own Guernsey ice cream.

My wife and I went to Corner Social for the first time. We ordered a beer and one of their house signature drinks. The house signature cherry drink is $10.00. While it was good, it was upsetting to see that it came in a tall thin glass with a block of ice that was as tall as the glass. We took the ice out and verified that we actually received nearly HALF a glass of actual drink. We felt ripped off. We drank it and left. For this reason, alone, we may never go back. It did not feel good to be taken advantage of by a local establishment. On a positive note, the service was good.

To be honest the food wasnt that good. I know they are trying to be upscale a Foo Foo. 2 of our sandwiches had funky sauce smothered on them. We got the bagel egg ham sand., turkey egg sand., and pulled pork sand.Pulled pork came out cold. We all got the broccoli soup which was great.We had to ask for napkins and more water. No silverware was given except the pulled pork had 1 fork. (Which we shared) Had to ask for spoons for soup. We decided to get ice cream and my bill came to 65.00.. Really? There was no dollar amounts on menu and food wasnt that great. I guess the only way I would go back was just for a drink but it would probably cost me my first born.You need way more staff, or more attentive staff. People were sitting outside and had to keep coming in to get waited on. Very sad.

First time here, the many has so many varieties to choose from, but i went with The Pineapple Splasher. So rich in flavor also was so fresh. Took a minute to make so the service is fast. A little busy but everyone had on masks and kept their distance. Will be going again!

The best place for cocktails in the town!! My husband and I love going here. The best thing about it is, it is open till late on the weekends like no other place around. The people working here are super polite, friendly and nice. We just started going to this place since Sept 2020 after we moved to SLyon, but feels like we have known the people there for years. So thats how good of a service they provide. In this covid era this place has been a boon for having an outdoor heated patio, covered, covered in the sense you can comfortably sit outside and drink and not get cold at all!! The drinks are amazingly good! I would recommend this place to everyone for sure and keep supporting the local business :)

Excellent caffeination selection, decent baked goods but not bakery made ... aside from the black and white cookies when you can get ahold of them, those are great! Sandwiches and soups are good as well.

Beautiful craft cocktails and plenty of choices. The owner was amazing and did everything from serve drinks to wash dishes. It was very nice to see his hard work ethic - I will be back!

The Corner Social has been a welcome placeto sit down and relax after a long day of chores with the lady friend. Great atmosphere and the best trivia questionsaround in South Lyon,Michigan.Suggestions on your menu options: look intooffering all kinds of pies ( apple. blue, cherry,coconut cream. chocolate cream, and pumpkin pies). My husband and I love this place! Everything about it is fantastic! The food, the ice cream, the cocktails, atmosphere, etc all awesome. You can’t go wrong. The owner is so nice as well! The covered patio is warm and cozy, we even brought our dog. Super fun date night too!

Don’t use the order online app here. My son used it tonight and he waited an hour for his food….which he paid extra for to get gluten free bread……and then it came on regular challah bread which he didn’t notice until he got all the way home and now they are closed.

This was a wonderful find.Service was perfect and Sammis were even better. What a great little place. We will definitely go back . Enjoy!

Just stopped in for a couple of scoops of ice cream, which was Guernsey and delicious. Everyone was super friendly and pleasant. I believe it was the owner who was taking care of me which I thought was solid.

Great place to get Hard Ice cream. They have about 16 Guernsey Dairy flavors. They also have a Black Cherry Vegan option! Great places to sit inside and outside. Looks to have great sandwiches and then also coffee. If you are looking for a nice place to sit, hang out and getting something to eat while downtown this is IT!

Good food and drinks! good customer service and vibe going on there. I am new to south lyon and its the best place Ive gone to so far.TIP: I worked at biggby as a barista! Adding a little hot water to your dry spices for ice lattes, would help the spices dissolve completely in the drink. The barista suggested i get the spiced mocha hot because of that. I wouldve suggested it then, but I didnt want to seem rude! I hope this helps people out.

I think my opinion is a little skewed just because its not what I thought it was. This is more of a cafe with coffee drinks, a liquor license, and ice cream. The young lady at the counter was confused by my order - I guess regular espresso coffee drinks are not the norm.Its a very cute little place, the coffee was fine. Its a very good 2nd wave coffeeshop with a lot of bonuses! They also have outdoor seating on the patio by the parking lot, with a partial enclosure to protect from the weather.

The sandwiches are a bit pricey. I would rate them 5/5 if they added more flare to them or lower the prices a few dollars. I like that you can personalize any sandwich. Staff is very nice and friendly.

Its the best place in town! But what I really want and what most people want to have changed to it is to change it back to the previous name. The Corner Social wont do, it doesnt sound good compared to its previous name, The Corner Cafe. Plus, The Corner Social sounds way too modern for its early 1990s appearance. The Corner Cafe fits better with this aesthetic.

What an adorable place! We stopped for coffee on a whim and ended up finding the BEST coffee shop with delicious food. Service was amazing and the Nutella latte was to Die for. If they had a pastry chef (cough, cough) making their baked goods, it would be absolutely perfect. 9 3/4 out of 10.

This place was so nice. The atmosphere had a candlelit feel, the music wasnt too loud like Red Rooster which I was going to go there, but the wait was too long the music was too loud and I knew it would be extremely expensive because there were no prices on the menu. And also I couldnt recognize any meal. So yea my daughter and I went to the corner social instead, I had the fried steak with mash potatoes it was delicious. And also the fried shrimp was too. The only complaint was the coffee u ordered it was slightly cold and they only had milk and no cream. Which probably made it cold. But overall we enjoyed ourselves.

I cannot speak highly enough of The Corner Social in South Lyon, MI! The front of the cafe houses a full Gurnsey Ice Cream bar & board games and books for everyone to play & read. A brand new bar is nestled in the belly of the cafe, and there is an additional seating area in the back to eat, study, work, read, conduct business, or chat with friends. There is ample seating, and the environment is cozy, welcoming, and friendly. I love settling in with a book and their chicken noodle soup on a chilly day, playing a board game and drinking smoothies with my son, or getting ice cream in the summer! Me and my family love The Corner Social!

Nice business in an old building

These guys are fantastic and also the people that hang out here are great. Just what a coffee shop should be. They also have a bar area and ice cream. One night I had a Zoom meeting late and they told me to sit out back and use the Wifi and they left the light on so the cops that were rolling by didnt get suspicious.

The food is good but very disappointed on their mask protocol not being enforced properly. Every time the guy (owner?) went in to the kitchen he took his mask off. Even though he was dealing with food. Also customers in there with their masks not covering their face...🙄...we are in a pandemic people get it together!

The food is avarage, the coffee is avarage, the space is dirty, the staff was on their phones most of my visit and I had to go find someone to pay my tab who ended up not knowing how to use the system. The only redeeming factor was the patio.

Normally love this place, but be wary that they dont require customers to wear masks. I have walked in while the place has gotten crowded on the inside, making it hard to social distance while ordering to-go. Feels uncomfortable standing close next to someone without a mask on

I am not a fan of coffee, but I love aroma. I decided to try their sandwiches, and order an iced chai latte. I have been there three times now and each time I order the Roasted Zip. Delicious. The young ladies behind the counter and usually sweet and very friendly.They also have a bookshelf of games, books and cards. It is fun to play a game as you wait for your meal. Someone needs to donate another Boggle because it is difficult to play with one dice missing. We did it but it was tough.

First time in, I had to try the Spanish latte and have been craving it ever since. I am a coffee person, so to find a new coffee drink makes me excited! The gal at the counter is friendly and helpful, and they have trivia for a free coffee drawing. I definitely stop here whenever Im in South Lyon.

There is definitely great pride in ownership with this cafe. The owner has turned this place around and offers some GREAT coffee and food. The hours are amazing - it seems as though theyre always open. I highly recommend their breakfast sandwich paired with one of their specialty espresso drinks. Its a great place to warm up on those cold winter days.

Great place for both coffee and ice cream.

Came here today with my fiancé and niece after a day at the beach and the young girl who served us was very off putting. She rushed my fiancé and niece as they ordered and rushed them out of the store as if she didn’t want them there. I will add that my fiancé and niece are black and my fiancé was wearing a Pride shirt. In today’s climate, we can never be sure. Even my niece felt uncomfortable by the demeanor. Not sure what the girl’s problem is but it would be nice to know if ALL are not welcome here before we spend our money.

Friendly staff and personal service. Warm beverages and pastries are always great. Also, a good place to go for Guernsey ice cream. Sandwiches and warm food need more consistency, especially with the cheese and change requests. Other than that, very good overall, probably excellent considering the local options for a cafe.

Wonderful service and great food and drink selection! This little shop is located in downtown south Lyon, has a selection of books to read by comfy couches, has WiFi, and has AMAZING coffee ice cream lattes (try the mint chocolate chip ice cream coffee latte - so good!!). Also, parking is convenient and close. Make sure you check this place out when youre in the area!
