I havent been here in a very long time but i have some great memories of nights until 12-3 am, learning how to quick scope in bo2 community link matches, and honestly never had a bad experience at all. Except when i asked the guy at the counter for a game to play and he gave me Dead Space and told me it was a shooter. My 11 year old brain was traumatized. Thank you for all the memories :)Probably going to come in and have a mid range PC built here instead of Best Buy since everything still seems positive.

Went in for them to fix my daughter’s Nintendo Switch on a Saturday. Their building was clean, everything was socially distanced. They told me it would be 3 to 5 business days which is so much better than sending it in to Nintendo. They called me on the 2nd business day saying it was ready for pick up. Extremely fast and efficient work. James and his team made it a pleasurable experience. James contacted me two weeks later to check on the Nintendo which is so nice to see they care about the work they do and their clients. I will definitely recommend for anyone who needs an electronic fixed, and also having kids will definitely use in the future for their repair needs.

I don’t have any words except AWESOME AMAZING PERFECT PROMPT FAST RELIABLE AND SPECTACULAR! I wanted to purchase a fortnite gaming pc for my sons birthday. I scoured the internet and the prices were ridiculous and I still couldn’t get the configuration I wanted. I went to Battlegrounds with a piece of paper and far too many expectations. THEY MET THEM ALL. They custom built the P.C. and saved me the trouble of having to get the all the accessories. The chair, monitors, mounts, webcam, mic, headsets EVERYTHING. Then after I thought about it, I realized I needed in home setup and they had me covered! Their pricing was far more competitive than everywhere on the net! James followed covid protocols and made sure everything was setup and running perfectly. My son was stunned and overwhelmingly happy!

This experience was my first time and they were informative courteous and prompt. They followed up on unit to make sure I was happy with the repair of my PS4 that was cheaper than buying a used one after my granddaughter dropped hers. It took a lil under two weeks for a 50% less than buying a refurbished unit. Overall I an a very satisfied customer job well done, 👍🏾

Took a broken iPad to them! They told us a week turn around. Two days later they called and it was done. Fastest turn around and way better prices then the fix screen places around! Totally recommend them. Super friendly too!

I was told my iPad screen could be fixed within next 2 days. The parts were in and it was easy to fix. It’s been almost a week and still has not been looked at- will be a few more days. Unacceptable. I do not recommend this place. Also- beware- once you pay and drop items off, there is NO refund or getting your items back before waiting for them to complete the job. That was also rudely reported to me in the store after-the-fact, even though I called first stating my intention for coming back and it was NOT mentioned then. Waste of time and gas. Still waiting...

Went there to have them build my computer for me and it came out perfectly. They finished it in under a week and the price was very reasonable. The workers are extremely nice and were eager to help us every time.

With remote learning looking like its here to stay :/ I needed a broken dell laptop screen replaced, a broken iphone screen replaced ... oh and a major software upgrade for Window. All done, all VERY reasonable with a super quick turnover time. Do not waste your time going anywhere else, TRUST ME ...

This place is truely amazing. I got my first gaming pc over the holidays and I was outside the 30 day warranty at Best Buy so I had the geek squad plan. To be honest I went in to Best Buy after trying to install ram .. I followed the protocol and snapped the sticks in.. the computer stopped booting after that.. the one change I made didn’t work out ... long story short I bring it to the geek squad and they don’t even check the pc ... well they plugged it in to see if anything would display on the screen but I don’t really consider that trying to hard I was under the impression these guys would know more than me in terms of PCs and technical stuff and that wasn’t the case. The guy took 2 seconds and says yes were going to have to send this out and it will be 4-6 weeks cause of covid .. I was like no thank you I’ll just take it back.. I knew something major couldn’t have been wrong cause it was running smoothly before I made that change ..I found battlegrounds online and saw that they build gaming pc’s and knew they would be able to help me. Sohad was the one who helped me there ... you pay a small expedite fee due to them having too many orders which I didn’t mind doing. This expedite fee they ensure they will fix or know the problem within 24 hours or it might even be they will fix within 24 hours I’m not sure but yea I went with it. Iexplained that I changed the ram and installed it myself but was getting nothing when booting up the system the fans would spin ect ect just nothing on the screen.I received a call about an hour after I left there saying that the pc was working.. although I don’t know what I did wrong and I’m not sure how he fixed it I didn’t care .. I am very very happy it was fixed and thought I was going to be without a pc forever. Still not sure exactly what I did wrong but I don’t care at this point these guys obviously know what they’re doing and can fix anything and are super efficient . The Geek squad people knew less than me in my opinion at least from my experience.. I hope this review helps. Ask for Sohad when you go there he knows his stuff. So happy I didn’t listen to my parents and send it out to the manufacturer I knew that it couldn’t be anything that crazy wrong with it.. anyways hope this review helps sorry for the novel. Lol.

First time bringing my computer-of any kind to a shop. It took a few tries and a little more than I was originally told it would cost but the team, including the owner worked hard to fix the issues. The owner even added some new parts at no charge and worked till he got everything not only up to par but better than before I had problems. I used Battlegrounds for help with my office printer today. They were quick to set up a same day appointment. Upon arrival James went above and beyond to help get the printer up and runnning and explain what the issue was. He also utilized the full hour and ensured everything we were concerned about was working properly. He answered questions on unrelated issues without a fuss. James knew what he was doing and talking about, it was overall a great and easy experience.

Had my sons birthday party with about 20 kids....the staff was super friendly bit I didnt expect to have to share computer space with regular walk in customers, when I book suck a small space i expect to be the only ones. Plus they werent very attentive to the party itself as far as next step after gaming...we had to cut and hand out pizza, drinks, and even cut and distribute the cake. Been other places and its always been done for us and I think thats really the only 2 things they could have done better....overall not bad.

I brought in a Dell XPS laptop keyboard to be fixed in June 2020 after a few keys stopped working. During the diagnosis process, the technician managed to damage the entire keyboard, so none of the keys were able to work. Even worse, the screen components were damaged and would no longer turn on.In spite of these damages, I was still charged 68$ for the work and labor. To make matters worse, I had to pay out of pocket for my own replacement keyboard ($20) and replacement screen ($150). AND I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL 40$ for labor.I lived in Shirley all my life and expected higher levels of professional and service based on the reviews and given its reputation in our community.

I bought my sons gaming computer there last year and he loves it. So when I had issues with my laptop I felt comfortable going back. I recently just had new software updated to the latest version of Windows its been a few months no problem working great. Beat part ever it was reasonably priced... Thank You!

Not what I expected!

About 2 weeks ago I woke up to a broken phone I brought it down to Jeff (master of electronics) and he was able to take my phone in and change the screen within the hour to get me back to work which was extreamly reaspectable considering he was swormed with customers upon picking up his customer service was fantastic as we had a conversation for about 20 minutes while he was finishing up unfortunately today I had a issue with it so I brought it back down and this time seeing James who took it in immediately to figure out the issue he was able to fix the issue and not only did he do that but he was able to do it at a fantastic price & extremely quick i have my phone back again and it works perfect I appreciate the work boys I wouldn’t bring my electronics anywhere else and if you need somthing done the right way and fast I highly recommend battlegrounds for your repair

Brought my new rig parts here to get built, had it back the same day, reasonable pricing (~$200 after tax) and everything works fine with good cable management. If you dont know how to build one yourself or cant find the time, this is the place.

Battlegrounds does an excellent job diagnosing and repairing civilian computers/laptops/pcs etc. Ive had a couple of problems in the past with 2 of my laptops and James and the gang have done an excellent job repairing them or cleaning them up to make it faster. They explain the problems, what they are going to do and when itll be done, or tell you a cheaper fix if there is one. I highly recommend Battlegrounds for any repair you have to get done, Ill be coming back when the next problem arises.

Had my Win 7 install fry itself thanks to Windows handing out a bios update in their recommended updates. Battlegrounds saved me months of reinstalling everything by hand along with the loss of pretty much everything I had with their quick thinking. Had my system back up three days later.Literally the difference between a nightmare scenario, and a day and a half of restoring your settings on a fresh install. Cant recommend them enough.

Noel is an EPIC guy and he KNOWS his PC, even though he doesn’t game himself he knows how to build the most epic computers at an affordable price. He does not scam you in anyway. He’s a totally friendly and easy to talk to guy, it was a great experience. I took my boyfriends computer in for a diagnostics and Noel said it was free! No other repair shop I’ve been to on Long Island has that... let’s just say this shop is so great, so we’ll kept, and owned that I walked out with a brand new gaming pc myself. Thank you, Noel!!! Ive had my daughters gaming pc at the shop twice since the beginning of summer. Both times it was fixed accurately and quickly. Jeff and the rest of the staff are great. I wouldnt take my electronics anywhere else.

We bought three seats before hand but when we came in it was all taken, we were under the suspicion that when we came in, we would be able to sit down and play but again all seats were taken, we then therefore had to suffer as only the big TV was open and only some of the games we wanted to play worked, so we just waited until a seat was open.* They dont reserve seats, but they do leave seats open, I know this because when we came in we heard one of the people there yelling at another employee about how they shouldve saved seats for us.

What a fun place! My son had a birthday party there and he and his friends loved it. The staff is made up of gamers so they can show you how to play a game that you might be unfamiliar with. Also, Ive had numerous repairs done, all satisfactory, and some beating competitor pricing. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.

Ive used Battlegrounds on 2 occasions. The first time, my power supply died in my Computer. They put in a new one within a few hours of me dropping it off the same day. The next time, I brought in my laptop because of an LCD screen issue. They repaired the issue, but then discovered that the LCD cable was also problematic. They did the repair at no additional charge. They also put the screws I needed that fell out of my laptop for free. They are an incredible local company. Would do business with every time.

Ive been at BlattleGrounds twice.First time my sluggish Mac Pro, OS reinstalled - not a problem.Second time my desktop with Windows 10. They suggested to reinstall OS. I requested not to go that route to avoid reinstalling all the other software. They figure out the problems and left the system running with no problem, overnight.Reasonably priced, efficient, and work warrantied. Next time I need work done on my computers I know where to go.

This is my favorite place to come to for my iPhone needs and computer repair as well. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and I would advise that many of the other businesses, (not just computer related) in the area take classes on business service customer relations from the entire staff !!!Whatever your question or needs, the response is courteous, quick and thoughtful. Ive used BattleGrounds for my computer needs when it becomes something that I cannot fix. And Im very tech savvy. I worked with Geek Squad at Best Buy for a few years. My older laptop was taken to them because it ran horribly no matter what I did (its nearly 8 years old now and still running great). And Ive taken two other computers to be updated as well. They answer any questions you have before, during, and after repair. They dont repair anything unless you give them permission. If it needs more than is quoted, they will call you to get the permission and tell you if there are any additional costs.Ive recommended this place to a number of friends and relatives. None of them have ever had any problems with them.

Had my motherboard die on me and I was at a loss at how to get my computer working again (beyond replacing the parts - would not start, even with new gear.) I explained the situation to the experts at Battlegrounds and they had me up and running later that night. Professional and communicative.

Walked in moody as hell because Best Buy wanted around $250 to ship my laptop out for 2-3 weeks to fix a keyboard on my Lenovo ThinkPad. Moody because I didn’t know what I was walking into at Battlegrounds and because I didn’t like what Best But told me. James at Battlegrounds helped me and within 10 minutes I was out the door with a temporary keyboard (USB into my laptop) and an $80 keyboard expecting to take 3 days to come in.I use my laptop daily for work. They fixed it, no problems since. It was affordable and they were nice to deal with. I will definitely return if another problem occurs.

In the past two years Ive had my laptop break twice, one phone break 3 times, and a different phone needing cleaning. James and Noel always try to do their best by me. Theyre sympathetic to my problems and offer me discounts and free repairs when they can.When my J7 lcd screen broke, they ordered the new part and replaced it. Unfortunately the screen sent was faulty. They tried a different company, and they sent the wrong screen. He was able to jury-rig the screen to work and the phone still works today.My S8+ charger port wasnt working. James and Noel both thought that it might have short circuited but just in case, Noel cleaned the port. Works good as new, didnt even charge me.Theyre always friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. And they always recognize me, but thats not necessarily a good thing lmao. They get the job done fast, without losing out on quality.The new girl Jessica is also a sweetheart, fyi

I came into the store yesterday and needed a way to get wifi on my desk top computer which only had the capability of using a hard wire connection, Noel was the person to help me. He was very knowledgeable of the computer I had and what I needed to do to make the computer hook up to wifi. I would recommend anyone to these guys for sales or service, they also have some great deals on pre-owned equipment !

If there were zero stars to give, I would have given it.Had THE WORST experience with this company/owner, James.I brought down a childrens tablet (NABI 2) to be repaired by the company as my son had cracked the screen, and only the screen. I was told it would take a week to finish, cost would be $80.00. I didnt think much of it because Nabi charges $60 for replacement screens and minimal labor was needed, so $80 is about right. I presented the coupon for 20% off and was told they wouldnt honor it as it only applied to computer repairs. Should have known then that this would go sourly.I paid the full $80 upfront ($86 after tax). A week later I get a call stating that they misquoted the price and could not purchase the screen separate form the digitizer, which would cost me an additional $35. Reluctantly I agreed. They followed-up by telling me that they could not process the change until I came down and paid the additional money upfront . Really??? As a business, you cant front a $35 change fee that (1) was clearly your fault for misquoting and (2) you could hold hostage if I didnt pay.This just the beginning of continued bad business practices. But again, I went down and paid.Two weeks later I called and was told that the unit had to come from China and would be a few more days. I called the following days and was told that the screen had arrived, but I had three units for repair ahead on mine but once he got to it, it should take minutes to replace.A WEEK later I was contacted that the unit was finally ready for pick-up. I pick it up and went home, turn it on and the unit doesnt work. I call and was told to bring it back down. He confirmed that the digitizer was faulty and hed have to send it back to CHINA!!! (meanwhile again, this is sold by NABI domestically). He stated that the company in China would only replace it after they received faulty screen!! I told the associate that I didnt understand that, as a company, and in the interest of time, they cant just purchase the new screen and get a credit when the old one arrives. I later get a call from another associate stating that the supplier will honor the tracking number and would send the new screen in tandem. Mind you, we are in mid January.I call the company January 29, stating that Im going away on the 31st and would like it before I go. The owner told me its highly unlikely that Id get it in time, but would be done by the time I return. I return on the 7th, and you guessed it, still isnt ready.Heres the good part, I get a call on February 10th and was told that the unit STILL isnt ready but to make good on it, hed replace it with a unit hed purchased from is brother for $75. I politely declined stating that my unit was brand new when I purchased it 6 months ago. My son cracked the screen after 5 weeks and I wanted my relatively new unit back. Plus Id purchase an edition with Nickelodeon (SpongeBob) on it. The only other option was for me to wait for him to send it to NABI to replace. I told him to just refund me my money and give me back my broken unit. Ill go elsewhere. HE DECLINED.I get a call from his associate stating that hed called in the serial number from NABI and they stated that its not an nickelodeon unit... I said, just turn it on and you can see it for yourself! He stated the unit is in pieces so he couldnt and that my only options were to take the replacement, which wasnt comparable to what I had (an older/ non-nickelodeon unit), or wait until it comes back from NABI.So here it is - 2 MONTHS later, no tablet, wont give me a refund with my broken unit returned, and no other attempt of compensation stating that hed not go in the red on this repair. That the screen cost $80, meanwhile he didnt even realized the Id paid $125 + tax.... Ive couldve purchased a new unit for this price.I tried to give this NEW COMPANY a chance but AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER LEGITIMATE REPAIR SHOPS IN THE AREA. Horribly customer service, horrible business practices!!!

Overpriced. Great for what they do and childrens parties.
