I thoroughly enjoyed working with Cheryl and her co-worker again after not seeing her for years. I used to live on Capitol Hill and Ive purchased three lovely pieces of art (with frames) from her shop, which I still love. Its nice to see that Cheryl, the manager, is still at the Capitol Hill shop after all these years. That tells me a lot about the company, Museum Quality Framing. When I came in the other day to pick up frames I had purchased over the phone, Cheryl was busy with another customer, who had stepped away for a quick minute. She answered my question, her customer returned to the desk, and I think both her customer and I were satisfied that we got our face time with Cheryl. Thats why people go to the stores they go to - theyre shopping for love and attention. I highly recommend this shop, and they have an outstanding selection of great frames.

I tried framebridge online a few times, then stopped in here on a whim while I was walking by. I assumed (incorrectly) than Museum Quality meant expensive. After getting a quote I brought a piece in for framing. In reality, these folks do honest work at a reasonable and fair price and of exceptional quality.

Have had nothing but good experiences with Museum Quality Framing. A little about the people there we have worked with there. Who are all awesome! Generally everyone here is very personable and has great attention to detail.Cheryl has incredible talent with color matching frames to paintings, helping navigate through all the options MQF has for frame designs and the patience of a saint.Krista has been great with the technical layout of a pretty complicated photo collage we made. We wanted a none standard frame (oval) that turned out to not be available, but she worked with the frame makers to figure out what could be done and the result was better than the original ask. Mill work on the matting... ya we are a pain in the butt. ;) We spent an entire afternoon with Krista figuring out what this frame was going to look like. Again the patience of a saint.Finally, for comparable quality MQF is inexpensive. For comparable service MQF is the best combination I have found on the East and West coasts. So happy to have found this place!

I recently brought three pieces to MQF for framing after intending to do so for 2+ years. I have gotten things framed here on two other occasions in the past 10 years with positive results.MQF staff were patient as I (slowly) decided on frames and mats, providing feedback on my choices when asked but never verging on pushy or up-selling behavior. I felt like I had their full attention and that the customer service went beyond what many other places offer. I found their input to be informative and clearly tailored to accentuate each piece’s presentation.Initially, I thought I might just get quotes for my bigger pieces, but when I found out that the prices were far lower than a frame shop I had recently frequented in Oregon, I went for it. The framing turned out beautifully and I’m thrilled to have them on display. I will absolutely return next time I need something framed, and have already recommended MQF to several friends since picking up my items two days ago.

My wife and I chose Capitol Hill Museum Quality Framing based on the great reviews we saw here. The art piece we wanted framed had huge sentimental value and we wanted to make sure the framing was nothing short of perfect.On our first visit, we chose the frame and matt materials and waited the standard few weeks for the job to be completed. When we finally brought the piece home and really looked at it, we realized that the white border showing around the art was not equal on all sides. It didnt look right and we couldnt get past it. It was a miscommunication issue.We reached out to the shop and Cheryl, graciously and without question, offered to re-frame the piece at no cost.Im going to admit that we werent the easiest of customers, but we were always treated with respect, grace, and generosity. Cheryl proved to us that MQF Satisfaction Guarantee is not an empty promise. For as long as we live in the Seattle area we will never go to another framing place. I have two great experiences at Capitol Hill framing.The first required sending a pdf file from Kalamazoo to CHMQ framing and they in turn printed the file to the size I specified on quality paper.My second experience required printing an article from the New York Times and adding a cell phone picture. Both transactions were handled efficiently,thoughtfully and with patience for my many questions. The manager Cheryl was spectacular!The finished products were perfect!!

I was looking for a framer for my diploma. Just got the finished product today and it looks GREAT! Walking in, I didnt know what I wanted. The customer service is awesome, consultative. The woman working with me offered suggestions and it all came together.Just a tip: Look at the various glass options you have. The top level, its truly museum quality... I didnt even know there was glass there. No reflection, almost invisible. Its remarkable.I love their work, their customer service, and they way they operate as a business. Excellent!

I must admit that EVERY time theres a groupon for this place I buy it. With that said-I love these guys. They are always patient while I look for options, make educated suggestions and my finished items are always on time. I love being able to put beautifully framed pieces on my walls and never go anywhere else!

Friendly, helpful staff with a good eye for design, but theyll also let you wander around and try things out on your own. A number of pre-made frames are available, which helps when framing on a budget. I ended up going with a pre-made frame and a custom mat, which turned out beautiful!

Expensive but their expertise is worth it. We went in with 2 projects.The first one was a commissioned art piece that we wanted to be protected and highlighted. For a 16x20 piece and all the highest end glass/frame options it was about $400. So, no offense to my family, but I wouldnt use MQF for our annual pics. The employee helped me narrow down my choices after listening to what we wanted and made excellent suggestions - even steering me away from aluminum frame I liked but would overwhelm the simple botanical. The finished product really draws all the attention to the art - as a good frame should.The bigger surprise was bringing in a signed print and cheap IKEA frame to get a mat cut. The cost of the mat was a bit higher than expected - about $100. The finished product however is stunning considering its origins. The mat is wonderful, the back of the frame is sealed, and the hanging hardware is actually usable as opposed to the garbage hardware the IKEA frame came with. I couldnt be happier and my kiddo was over the moon.Well be back (as soon as my husband and I agree on art again). Thank you
