We really enjoyed this place! Delicious comfort foods like a vegan Club sandwich, the Albuquerque Crunchwrap, and their pasta dishes are nice too. I enjoyed this place the last time I was in Seattle (10 years ago!) and again the other day, and it is still excellent. They have an extensive vegan menu so I hope to come back a few times to try everything!πŸ˜„ The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our order was perfect. We enjoyed this meal at Green Lake Park picnic tables. We visited in June 2021 and they were not open for dine-in.

I have mixed feelings about Wayward. I think they are definitely worth multiple tries if you are vegan in Seattle! I keep trying new items on their menu and am never wowed but Im also not necessarily disappointed. They have a LOT of options which I like, though I wonder if that is also their downfall - jack of all trades, master of none. I find the food to be very rich, which is honestly impressive for a vegan restaurant! It could just be my palate. Overall, worth a try or two but not my favorite vegan spot in the city.

The food here is so bland. I had to check my sense of smell after trying the breakfast club to make sure I didnt have covid because it literally had no flavor. Dry too. Pretty impressive for a sandwich with so many components. I had to try them all separately to get any flavor. The tempeh bacon tastes vaguely of liquid smoke, egg patty just tastes like turmeric, and the tofu ham had no flavor.Really disappointing. I used to get their mc muffin copycat, which was great, but they took it off the menu with their last update and send they no longer have the canadian bacon anymore at all. Probably covid supply issues, but so sad nonetheless because it seems like they dont have any good replacements and now none of their breakfast meals are worth gettingThey have some good appetizers, but most of their dinner and lunch isnt worth getting either because quality is so inconsistent. Ive gotten crunchwraps still cold in the middle, food undercooked/overcooked, and sometimes some of their sauces taste like someone tripled the salt. Food is not cheap either. Sucks to waste so much money on a bad meal

This used to be my favorite Seattle vegan restaurant, hands down. Ive been to all of their many locations throughout the years (decades). The quality of the food in the last 2 years has significantly decreased. Its too bad. They also got rid of the most of their good menu items in favor of trendy, mediocre options rather than the timeless classics people go to a diner to eat.Ive stopped bothering. And now to find theyre closed multiple days a week. Well. I knew vegan restaurants in Seattle were going the way of the dinosaur; this just proves it. The new options that keep cropping up arent good either.Guess Ill move to Portland.

I loved it! I was hesitant to give this place a try at first since the food did not look too pleasing from the photos. however, the food might not be the healthiest (for vegan food) but it sure hit home! I cant find what I had on their online menu but it was a muffin sandwich with a slice of grilled tofu, cheese, and sausage. Not going to lie, it tasted like the McDonalds Egg McMuffin *which I miss!*. We also had the pancake (tasted exactly how my mom made it when I was a child). The Biscuit and Gravy combo were not that good. Too dry and lacked flavor but I was told by my partner that the Tots-In-A-Blanket Burrito was excellent. The best way to start this breakfast is with their vegan White Russian! Delicious.

Im honestly surprised that this place doesnt have 5 stars! The first time I tried to come here, there was a line out the door so we decided to cut our losses and head somewhere else instead- now I see why this cafe is so popular. I ordered the sunshine omlette and I dont know what I expected, but my first impression is that I was surprised by how much it looked just like real eggs. The sauces that are used to flavor it are literally perfect and it tasted great! I enjoyed it so much that I ordered the chicken and waffles to take home as well. As a southerner I didnt have high hopes for anything even reminiscent of chicken and waffles in this city let alone a vegan version but honestly I was very impressed! It didnt taste like chicken but it tasted *good* and thats more than I hoped for and expected out of a dish like that.As for the service, it was just as good. I think that we arrived in the middle of a shift change so both of the servers who attended to our table were so courteous and attentive. If this spot were closer to West Seattle I would gain 10lbs within a month tops.

Ordered takeout in the restaurant, person who took our order didnt say how long it would take for our order to be ready and just said theyll shoot us a text when its ready. Didnt take my number but figured they might have gotten it from my card somehow? My partner and I walked around waiting for a text, came back to the restaurant 20 min later and still no text. I look in the window and see 2 orders sitting there. When I looked closer, it was actually our order, just sitting there. No text, nothing. Who knows how long it had been sitting there.I dont make a fuss because Im not that kind of person but it was pretty annoying to pick up our food that had just been sitting there. We took the food and immediately went to our car to eat it. My breakfast order was lukewarm. Not only that but the muffin in my eggs Benedict was tough and the food was honestly not that good. Its a shame because I have no way of knowing if the food would have been better if it was fresh.I believe in supporting vegan businesses 100% but this place ranks as nowhere near the best vegan place Ive been to.

We come to Wayward often on Sunday for brunch. Its always busy if we wait too long(try to get there before noon if you dont want to wait on Sunday - its a popular spot!), but we always decide its worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and weve always experienced great service. On to the food: does it get better than a heaping plate of pancakes and hash browns? Its enough to put a smile on my face just thinking about it. Comfort food at its absolute best is what youll find here. Try the Breakfast Club or the Steak Breakfast. For lunch, the Reuben and Philly are favorites in this house.Stop in, bring friends, enjoy the hip new setting(they recently expanded from a small location to this new one) with tall ceilings, the same great food with a cozy diner-feel, and a beautiful array of customers.PS- parking is super easy. Big parking lot right across the street.PPS- dont be like me and think that the Wayward Coffee place up the street is related to this place and come strolling in with your latte. Theyre not related. Drink your latte outside.

As a non-vegan I did not much care for the food. Staff was very friendly service was great! But I dislike the menu that tries to fake it by offering vegan equivalents of typical American breakfast. I dont see how a curry tofu scramble is any replacement for scrambled eggs. Pancakes were flat and just not great. While I applaud an all vegan restaurant and do feel quality was high this is not a place I would return to as a meat eater. I can see that it would be a great option for a serious no animal products person. I would suggest the menu be clarified and updated. I would want to know exactly what flavors Im in for when ordering. I also think they should try to find an identity with food instead of trying to replace typical meat breakfasts.

I was so excited to try this place out for the first time, and boy was it a good one. There were so many options that I’m usually not used to on a menu, so it took me a lot of time to figure out what I wanted. I ended up ordering a beef stroganoff with mushroom gravy, and my table split cheesy bacon fries. The fries were really yummy. My main plate was very rich in flavor, and honestly I was not a big fan. I definitely reccomend looking at the menu in advance of going to the restaurant. We decided to order one item off the lunch menu and one off the breakfast menu. We got the country fried burrito and The Rich sandwich. The burrito probably could have filled both of us as one meal it was that huge! This is definitely not the place to go light on the calories. It was very delicious. The Rich sandwich had a fried mozzarella layer of cheese which I have to say was pretty awesome, and the burger appeared to be a beyond burger.
