Yum yum! Im generally not the biggest fan of these types of dessert stands, or dessert in general. But this was a great treat on a hot day! I thought that the soft serve was not too sweet, so its perfect if youre on a diet!...Not really, but it feels perfect if youre on a diet. My only complaint is that music at the stand was a bit too loud and the song was a bit too repetitive, to the point of being slightly annoying. But its such a small gripe that its definitely not worth taking away any stars.

I have tried bubble waffles at happy lemon, moo bar and at matcha cafe maiko, there’s no question they are the best!Happy lemon was hard and cookie like, moo bar was better but man, the bubble waffle here was smooth and melt in mouth. Super soft inside with the purple filling. The matcha and ube icecream was a heavenly combination.I would definitely come back and eat this every time we are in seattle. Please give them a try. I added a picture of halfway through it.

Henry was an excellent server and provided great service. He informed us that this location uses organic Ube for their soft serve . Loved how prominent the Ube and matcha were in the soft serve. Thank you for the experience!

Took us a few elevator rides to find this place. The website says it located in the third floor by the mini rail, but it actually on the second floor in the food court. Was disappointed that they dont have the fish cone today, but the icecream taste great. Portion is too big for me we got two smalls for three people to share.

Absolutely delicious. They dont skimp and have so many options. They can customize the drink however we want and they are super friendly. Usually there is no wait and even then, they are quick to make drinks. Their lattes are good on a hot day but their ice cream is also amazing. The owner Paris really knows what he is doing and is very kind.

MATCHA ICE CREAM topping with BROWN SUGAR BOBA: If you are a big fan of brown sugar boba and matcha, I highly recommend you stop by here. Their matcha flavor here is strong but not too bitter and sweet enough. Brown sugar boba and mochi are soft and chewy. Both are the must-try topping here. I was hesitant about putting ice cream and boba together for the first time I came here because some boba shops made it nothing special, but this place made a perfect combination. This dessert was very very yummy. Even though I ate this dessert a lot during recent weeks, Im still craving it.Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk (100% sweet, regular ice), Cocoa Brown Sugar Fresh Milk (100% sweet, regular ice), Matcha Brown Sugar Fresh Milk (100% sweet, regular ice): Those drinks were super tasty. Their drinks had a great flavor, especially the matcha brown sugar boba fresh milk The sweetness was perfect. Boba here was super soft and chewy.Service: The staff here was nice and very friendly.

Specifically went yesterday for the matcha shaved ice, but they didnt have shaved ice. It must have been a limited time item, so check the newest version of the menu before you go. I got the matcha ice cream with extra matcha powder instead and it was delicious! You can also add whatever you want on the ice cream for extra cost. I will definitely add boba next time! P.s. Cafe maiko is in the mall food court floor. It was a little hard to find of you dont know the area.

Try this place in Portland and I love matcha so I decided to try this place in Seattle. This place was clean and easy to find. The staff was super friendly and the menu was much larger than what it was in Portland. We got the taiyaki and the maiko special. I personally like the Portland location because the teriyaki was crunchy and not soft which I was expecting. The special had different toppings than what it was in Portland and it didn’t really go well with a soft serve ice cream. Other than that it’s a great place to get Matcha dessert!

High quality matcha ingredients used; shiratama and other ingredients were overcooked / just ok. Theres only 3 tables next to an escalator (and it can get super packed), so be warned its more of a to-go counter than a café. Service was also lacking - seemed like a few high schoolers running the place. Its an excellent effort from Seattle to put out more green tea cafés, but you can skip it if youre used to the standards back in East Asia.

TLDR: strong matcha flavor. Not very sweet. Asian level sweet.Located on the top floor of Westlake Center. Minimal seating.Watch out for monorail times because this place is located right next to the monorail doors. Expect high foot traffic.Menu has item titles, no descriptions, and minimal pictures. Best to ask whats in your ordered item.Service: order and pay at the counter, wait for your number to be called, grab your order and utensils at the counter.Bubble Waffle is served after 3pm.Golden Soft Serve Matcha Ice Cream: the gold is really just there for show--great for food paparazzi if you really wanna put that cone on social media for only $1 more. The ice cream itself is not very sweet and it has a very strong matcha flavor with a slight bitter aftertaste. They make their waffle cones in house--average cones.Maiko Special: you get a choice of ice cream (vanilla, matcha, or both). The vanilla comes with a small scoop of matcha ice cream underneath. Overall, honestly looks better than it tastes. Most toppings are very bland. The jello, mochi and cake pieces are very bland and barely sweet. The sweetest part is probably the ice cream and corn flakes. This place is for matcha lovers that really like that strong matcha flavor thats not drowned out by sugar. Its a great experience but honestly a better (expensive) photo opportunity than a food experience.

This location has recently opened as they are currently in their soft opening stage (they are working out the quirks). Unlike the one in Houston, this location does not offer a sweet level option and have the sugar premixed in the matcha drinks. I really enjoy the bitterness in my matcha drinks but they may add an option to adjust this later. The matcha latte was slightly on the sweet side. If you have a sweet tooth go for it. The hojicha is a dark roast version of green tea which had a nice bitter flavor but with a hint of sweetness. The soft serve matcha ice cream was probably my favorite as it had a true matcha bite. The waffle cones are made per order and provide that pleasent sweetness to contrast the bitter matcha. They might change a lot of things in the future but try it out if your in the area!

As a matcha lover I was excited to try this place out, but was quite disappointed by their Maiko Special. They ran out of red beans but instead of informing the customers they subbed it with cheap cornflake fillers hoping nobody would notice. The matcha ice cream also isn’t as flavorful as the stores I’ve had in one of their other chains. And the chestnut topping is just a thin sliver rather than the usual round they give at other stores and shown in the menu photos.Would not return.

This store has SERIOUS HYGIENE issues. The staffs wear gloves but never change it. I saw them wearing the same gloves while taking orders, taking bills and handing changes, making cones and bubbles waffles(touch directly using hands with the same gloves on), grab toppings to the ice cream etc. So gross! Then I told the staff I want the ice cream in a cup instead of the cone. What I got is very light with a pathetic tiny portion of ice cream. And it’s empty in the middle! It’s $6 but not worth it at all. Will never go back.

This is my most favorite place for matcha, I ordered the Matcha Latte and Matcha Float and they tasted delicious, not too sweet, not too tar, perfectly balanced in flavor. Stopped by this place during our WA trip and the ice cream cones here are sooo pretty. The swirl is perfect and the two toned colors with the colorful cone made them truly Instagramable (they have a nice background just for it too!).Their combo flavors were really interesting. We tried the charcoal pineapple, but ended up getting the cocoa puffs and earl gray. Both flavors were great individually, but together was even better.Glad to have found this place and would recommend for anyone around the area looking for unique soft serve.

There’s an employee that regularly works there who is super pleasant and their drinks are tasty but the manager is pushy and pressured me to leave a good yelp review right then and there and I was really uncomfortable. If you want a good review just keep being nice to people and having good drinks and ice cream, yikes.

Pretty good -- we came for dessert after eating xian noodles and sushi burritos downstairs and got the Maiko special (the parfait) with plain matcha ice cream. It had a foamier texture and less deep of a bitter matcha flavor than other chains; my dining companions did not like the amount of cornflakes in the bottom.I would like to come back and try some of the beverage tea drinks.

Neat new place right beside the monorail entrance. The parfait was good; tons of matcha flavor. But the spoon was too flimsy and flopped all over. At the time I was there. They didnt have a sign saying that there is a 50-cent credit card fee but there is, possibly for purchases under a certain amount. So be aware.

Im here practically every other day- ive loved matcha ever since i first tried it back in 2014, but as it turns out, id never TRULY had ~*Matcha*~ until this lovely little green tea shop; absolutely exquisite, luscious, smooth, creamy...every menu item ive tried fits this description. the panna cotta ? to DIE for (though, to be fair, id never actually had panna cotta anywhere before..but as for since? theres simply no need.) never did expect to find EDIBLE GOLD LEAF at such affordable pricing, but when i tell you ive now eaten enough to probably set off a metal detector, well...😍✨💖 what can i say, im rather indulgent..~ anyways, im a regular here and im definitely not about to change that, i say pay a visit & see for yourself, dont just take my word on things 😎🎶

Ahh, I was really looking forward to being able to give this place 4 or 5 stars post my initial review/visit. Their soft serve is so yummy! I love how dense and creamy the soft serve is - Im not a vanilla girl but if offsets the bitterness of the matcha so well. Their fraps are alright :)However.. I have to agree with other visitors that the business could use some work. Service and consistency are hit or miss, mostly miss :( In subsequent visits my order came out wrong again, and today they didnt have any vanilla..?But the worst part..When I received my cup of matcha soft serve, I literally got about a half cup :( I totally got jipped, haha! It was $6+ for a dollop! My friend who had never been was so surprised and encouraged me to say something but I couldnt bring myself to. The man after me received well over a full cup.
