Came here after a few years of absence from hanging out in the Pioneer Square area. I remember before the pandemic they did chocolate tastings which were really fun. I dont think I wrote a review back then. I was walking by today and walked in on a whim (I love chocolate!) The chocolatiers inside help me find a nice chocolate and gave me a little piece of paper on how to taste the chocolate which is useful for this quality of chocolate. I usually eat my candy/chocolate bars like an animal so this was a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the cacao as it slowly melts away in my mouth. Cheers!

We did a virtual chocolate tasting with Aaron and the Intrigue Chocolate Tasting Bar, and it was so fun! Aaron took us through details on the chocolate making process, how to taste chocolate, and then through an engaging session trying a variety of the *delicious* chocolates Intrigue has to offer. This was such a successful virtual team event!

Meeting the owner Aaron and sampling most of his offerings was and is a fabulous Pallatially Orgasmic experience..wait till I taste the hot chocolate brew...If you are a Chocoholic, a chocolate lover, or Intrigued (double entendre) , do yourself a favor and get to Intrigue Chicolate either by King Station or up in Capitol Hill... 5 stars forever!!! My visit to intrigue was a total case of serendipity. I was simply walking around the streets of Seattle when I chanced upon this charming chocolate shop.Intrigue differs from other chocolate stores by intricately infusing the wonders of science to the delicacy of chocolate. I particularly enjoyed the customer service, which unequivocally supplemented the experience of tasting and buying truffles! If its your first time in this shop, feel free to ask for the truffle flight taste.Good job!!!

Absolutely lovely! Wandered in here on accident a few weeks ago and got a drink sample and HAD to come back with a chocolate loving friend. The woman working the shop was super friendly and the chocolate tasting was great! Dont be disappointed by the small sizes of the truffles youre tasting, they are very rich and you get a Lot of flavor.I love that the chocolates are made there, I love the drinks (had the sipping chocolate and whipped cream and it was heavenly!!), I love their photo block wall (we left a donation and took a block, Im planning on tagging Intrigue in some photos on instagram and seeing if they use them!!).I just wish there were more stools to sit at to enjoy the drinks but it is a pretty small shop.

This tiny shop has such a great atmosphere and warm feeling. It may look small but it is very inviting. The industrial look from the exposed structure, wood grain casework, and matte tiles give this place a rough yet gentle appearance. Aaron and Karl are wonderful, kind, and helpful. If you want to give your taste buds an awesome experience try the sample truffles. The cold brew coffee is a great choice for those who dont like their regular coffee too bitter. The vanilla bean is good as well. I highly recommend any chocolate loves to try this place.

This is a seriously classy chocolatier! So fancy! The service was warm and friendly. I was immediately informed that they are currently offering tastings. This sounded great so I said yes please! He gave me five different samples. I enjoyed them all, but I think my favorite was the Ginger. When it came to purchasing, I deciding to pick something I hadnt tried. One Cardamom and one Toasted Sesame. The truffles are $2 each, but make sure you use your Yelp check-in to get one truffle free.Between the two Cardamom was my favorite as it burst with a little more flavor. But I also might be bias as that is totally my kinda thing!

Very disappointing that the truffles have been eliminated. These were Intrigues finest product, by far. They melted in your mouth like a pat of butter. The broken slab chocolates I sampled today (5 or 6 flavors) were all dry, crumbly, and unimpressive. Furthermore, I was told yesterday by their coffeehouse location on 15th that theyd be making the truffles by special order one last time for the holidays and to keep an eye on the website, but the Pioneer Square location today said that was incorrect after checking directly with the owner. :-/. Mo more truffles at all, ever. Also I was told by the coffeehouse location the stamp cards would be accepted thru the end of November and the Pioneer location said until year end, so it seems there is different information either being provided or understood by these 2 locations, which is confusing for customers. In my opinion, Intrigue needs to find a way to produce the truffles in the spaces they have remaining or acquire another. I personally wont have much drive to return until then.

I was on the search for a great place to find chocolate in Seattle, and based off of all the other great Yelp reviews, I came here.It wasnt much of a hassle find the place, but actually getting into the store was a bit... Strange? Alice-in-Wonderland-eqsue, I guess? You have to ring a bell in order to get in. Aaron -- the owner -- greeted me at the door. It was just him in the store. And when I say store, its mostly just a giant space, with 75% of it being an industrial kitchen, which was pretty cool to see.I wasnt sure what I was looking for, so I straight up told him that I wanted to spend $20 on chocolate and he immediately offered for me to sample all of the different chocolate truffles they were currently making. I was absolutely amazed by that. So cool. They make some really crazy flavors, but they all tasted great. Granted chocolate is always good, but such flavors as basel and pineapple were way better than I wouldve imaged.Prices are a bit moderate, but its all artisan chocolate, and most definitely worth it. I asked, and they do allow for hosting private parties, so I definitely want to look into that in the future, especially since they work closely with wineries. Wine and chocolate tasting, please!

I came across Intrigue during their first Kickstarter campaign, and Ive stopped by periodically since. Although quite happy for their success, I must admit I do miss the days when the storefront was a hard-to-find nook in what primarily served as their kitchen, and the chocolatier could afford to spend time discussing what he was experimenting with next. Great chocolate and service to match. My wife jokes that a gift of Intrigues chocolate is the reason she married me.

I walked in today SO EXCITED to try their products but the customer service was so AWFUL I left upset and empty handed. There’s a lot of great dessert in this area, please don’t waste your time here. The store was completely empty and the staff, Sundos, refused to pause her phone conversation for even one second to greet us. Even after she confirmed the order was placed, she continued the conversation refusing to acknowledge our presence for almost 15 minutes, so we left. I’ve never been so offended by someone who hadn’t said a word to me.Im not sure if it was lack of training, bad manners, or plain prejudice but it is UNACCEPTABLE and greatly disheartening to see similar reviews from minority peoples. People should never leave your store wondering if they’ve been discriminated against. Again, don’t waste your time or money here.
