From start to finish, the process was amazing. The design process worked surprisingly well over Zoom. I created a video for my designer and he came prepared with several different layouts. And the installation was perfect. Merino was friendly and professional. He took extra steps to make sure my house stayed clean and did an absolutely impeccable job. Im already planning my next California Closet!

After 5 site visits, 1-year, and $30,000 we still don’t have a completed closet. At least 5 things left missing or undone. Our final visit was scheduled for last Monday, 2-months after their specialist came out to assess the situation. Took yet another day off work but no one came - no call, no show. Three days for their office to get back to me, only to say they damaged a door and it’s a long lead time item. Are you kidding me? When will this end?!?

I worked with the Seattle Office of California Closets back in 2015 and worked Michelle Gion, one of their Senior Design Consultants. It was a fantastic experience from the design stage to the delivery and implementation stage. Michelle was able to draw up a great design for our Master Closet, Laundry room, and both of my additional bedrooms. She replaced the standard wire rack closets and made it so my now Wife and I could actually share the master closet. Their team handled the installation flawlessly as well. They even helped out about 2 years after, when i thought there was an issue with the table that was covering my washer/dryer. They came out and cut another custom hole in the table for additional venting and found out that the dryer vent had come undone, and the installation tech, reconnected it for me! Not only did they stand behind their work , they went above and beyond to ensure i was happy.Michelle is able to design spaces that make sense and she is very talented at making the most of a space and sticking within the requested budget.I would and do recommend her to all of my friends and coworkers!

I had 2 closets in my guest room updated. The design process was done virtually and went very well. CC consultant did make a visit to ensure measurements. Other than having to reschedule my initial install, all went as expected and we are pleased with the results. I would highly recommend CC - good quality and reasonable prices.

Our project was a small walk-in closet. Therefore, design process was not overly complex. Backlog was pretty long for installation but I guess thats the way it goes. The installer was professional and accommodated my fussy requests. The problems began when the top for the drawer unit was missing - not just didnt make it on the truck but apparently was never fabricated. Also the drawer pulls were not as specified. I understand that accidents happen and a 3-4 weeks later C.C. got all the correct pieces and completed the install. The trouble was that during that period all communication had to be initiated from our side. It just didnt seem like premium service from a company that charges a premium price.Bottom line: while the process was more time consuming than we would have liked, C.C. came through and we are very happy with our new closet!Happy wife, happy life! :)

First time using CC, previously used Closets by Design. Because their pricing is double I expected to be amazed with the service. They have NO customer service at all. They began install on closet, left about 60% complete with materials stored in my closet and didnt return for a month because they had two parts they forgot to order and didnt want to return to complete the closet and then have to come a third time for decorative doors. The closets totally over priced, but the cabinet colors and handles are pretty and would likely not be sold elsewhere.

We purchased a 1940s home with tiny closets..we remodeled our home to add his and her walk in closets. The designer came over and measured and did a design in the spot!Now we have beautiful functional closets!Love it!

I had a great experience using California Closets to install a system in my bedroom closet. It looks great, was reasonably price, and they made the process very easy. I would definitely use them again.

They came to my place to do the design, explored my needs (and my wardrobe!), and came up with a design that was specifically tailored to what I have. There was a delay because of Covid, but their installation was prompt and effective. Im very happy with the outcome.

CC did a very nice job designing and installing a shelving/in-wall bed solution for our guest room. The installers were quick, thorough and left the space spotless. Only concern was a part failure delayed the project by a few weeks but, overall, very happy.

I chose California Closets because of its high quality finishes and long history. I trust it will still be around if I decide to add to my design. The price was competitive with the bid I received from a second company. The closet looks great and was the finishing touch to our new house, where our builder had left one room for me to design as I saw fit. Now this space is truly mine. The designer and installer were both very competent, friendly people eager to please.

My experience with California Closets was excellent. We had a large (9 x 11 feet) bottle display wall and it is beautiful. Everyone from design consultant Andrea, delivery and installation folks were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Picture shows the in process of populating the shelves. We wanted something that didnt look like a library and they delivered.

Our sales man was absolutely the best. Listened to our ideas and filled in ideas where we were unsure. We could not be more pleased with our closet systems and are thinking of having them help with our laundry room storage.

I liked the visit to my home to meet the consultant and touch the color option. She did a very quick drawing of the design. and was very responsive to changes, showing me a million options before settling on the final design. she also took my budget into account and worked with me to fit into it. The installation was a breeze in 1 day, he answered all of my questions and worked diligently.

We loved our walk-in closet so much we had her come back and do the closets in the other bedrooms and our laundry room. Fantastic! Serene, the designer, was thoughtful and listened to my needs and budget limitations. She was able to develop a plan on site in less than an hour for four spaces! I made only one minor change to her design. She knows the products very well and that helped me see possibilities I never dreamed of. The installation crew was terrific. They came on time, installed everything efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. I can hardly wait to start filling our closets. I have already told several people to give California Closets a call. They wont be sorry!

This was our second time using California Closets. We got our master closet done last time and loved it. This time we were doing six other closets around the house. It was a big project but Serene made the selection process very easy for us. She suggested things we didnt even think of that were ultimately the best organization options and we love how everything turned out. Marino and his installation crew were friendly and professional and clean - another easy process for us.

If I could give negative stars I would. The designer was very competent and wonderful. The design was excellent however when it came to execution it all failed. After we paid in full, we were given a start date which came and went by but no one showed up and no contact for a while. Then some one contacted us EVENTUALLY and gave us another date ...again which passed by and no one showed up. Delays coupled with significant period of no proactive communication, phone calls and emails being unanswered ... we decided that for $8,000 if something so simple is a nightmare, if we actually wanted to proceed with the work being done.They did refund our money in full.

I had a designer come into my home for a wall bed order. It was very simple and straight forward. I showed him were I wanted it, He measured I picked the design and then waited 5 weeks for delivery. When they came to deliver, they couldn’t get the bed to the basement! The frame was too big and didn’t fit i through my standard size staircase.I was shocked that the designer didn’t consider this little detail given that he was actually at my home and saw where I wanted it!I was very upset and back to square 1 with my wall bed situation. Someone from the office called to apologize promising some kind of gift card to come in the mail...... it never came.Just be careful with this company if you are paying the premium prices they charge you should get premium service- they don’t offer that. You are better off ordering from Wayfair and Paying half the price

This was my second time using California Closets and wouldnt choose any other company for future projects. They are so professional, right from the start. My designer (Michelle G.) was very patient with all the changes I requested. The installers were very professional, as well.(Score 10 out of 10)

California Closets is the absolute best! If I could give 10 stars I could.

Good but a little pricey.

California Closets demonstrated incompetence across all levels of their organization. Almost every one we had to contact with throughout a multi-week ordeal lacked professionalism and any concern about our experience. What should have been a one day install turned into a multi-week ordeal. Some of the main problems include: failure to complete a job on time, difficulty of scheduling a followup to complete the job, installing parts with blemishes, and creating a flawed design which overlooked prominent features in our closets such as air vents. The job was such a problem that I had to escalate to the General Manager who was unable to ameliorate the situation and only offered a $500 refund for this fiasco.In addition the basic business model is flawed: they will only remove and install closets but not fix doors or touch up where older material was removed.Find a good local carpenter and avoid these clowns.
