One of my favorite ways to entertain visitors or celebrate a special occasion. Great in good weather and great in classic Seattle weather (grey with a cool drizzle). Located on the beautiful Lake Union with amazing views of the city, adorable boat houses and iconic Gas Works park. Worth every penny.

My family had a blast with the donut boat. Gorgeous view of boathouse, city view and bridges and watercraft. It is a very busy lake on Sat and the water was very choppy so make sure to hold onto your drinks and food. The donuts boat moves very slowly so make sure to account for extra time to return back to the shop.

Super simple process to get on the boat. Any skill set could be the captain on this ride. Highly recommend!

Pretty good place to rent small boats upto 12 people and have boating in Lake Union, enjoy the ride with Seattle skyline views. Good for celebrating ones birthday, anniversary, break-up or Sunset or do you really need a special day to enjoy boating !They do have Donut boats in case you are looking for cozy one specially for couples.Rental center is easily accessible on the road side with free ample parking after 4 PM. They do have restroom which is good for families with kids to lighten before going for minimum 2 hours boat ride.

If you ever get a chance to rent from this company do it!!Affordable prices to drive a boat around Lake Union. Boat has Bluetooth so make sure to have your tunes ready. (Plus it gets loud) we brought our own drinks and snacks. None for purchase, so bring your own if your going be out for awhile. They gave us a map and a safety course. The water and views are beautiful. The employees are nice and very patient. Also informative. They provide clear directions and make you feel comfortable. Will definitely do it again but with more people boat fits I think they said up to 10-12 we had 5 and plenty of room.

The Electric Boat company made our executive happy hour a success! The process upon arrival was smooth and quick from signing in to boarding the boat, they made sure we had what we needed and we were thoroughly briefed on driving the boat.I would recommend this experience, and will most likely use them again for future events.

Our entire experience was great! They were well organized and friendly. The boats were clean and looked fairly new. Having the option to purchase food trays and a cooler with ice made it so much easier than bringing our own food (and the food trays are very good and reasonably priced). Our family, kids and grandkids all had an amazing time. We will be back!

The weather was perfect, navigation was so easy and I can’t think of a better way to show off our beautiful city in an intimate setting. Such a good time to be had. The staff was helpful and kept the boat in pristine condition. I’m already looking forward to next time.

We rented two boats for a company outing. The process was easy and I appreciated the level of customer service. We ordered the sweet and salty mix, as well as two coolers with ice. The snacks were great quality and there were more than we could eat. We were late and they accommodated us, which I really appreciated in the circumstances. Check in is very easy, communication leading up to the event is clear and proactive.

Had a great time on the lake. I am visiting from out of town. I was a guest and friends rented a boat and we cruised around the lake. Got to love on my fiancee in the most romantic way.

Took a group 8 out for my wife’s birthday. Weather could not have been better and the slow put-putt around the lake was perfect. Loved gawking at all the iconic houseboats ringing the lake. Boats are super nice and the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Could not not recommend more highly.

Our boating adventure at The Electric Boat Company was a fresh reminder of why I love my city. Piloting the boat was a breeze, catered food was so easy and delicious. Our company had a wonderful evening. This would be a lovely experience for out of town guests, too.

We have been wanting to rent a boat for a while, and Electric Boat Company did not disappoint! If your looking for a speed boat experience, this is not for you. These boats are designed for slowly cruising Lake Union. Our crew of 6 had a great time. We packed our own lunch and played our own music. So many awesome boats to look at, as well as boat houses! We had a great time picking our our dream boats and houses. Two hours was just the perfect amount of time to cruise the majority of the lake. This would be a great activity for guests since it offers great views of downtown Seattle. We will definitely be doing this again!

We visited Seattle recently, and this was a wonderful way for some amazing sightseeing. Great views of downtown Seattle! The rental process was straightforward, and it was smooth and easy to actually pick up the boat and get out on the water. We packed a picnic and had a wonderful afternoon on the water. We had a great experience with The Electric Boat Company. Really friendly staffs, accommodating, and well maintained boats. The one issue is that the heater doesnt feel like they work very well. Over all, my group had a fantastic time on the water and got to see the sunset.

Awesome first experience with Electric Boat Company. My 2-hour rental around Seattles Lake Union was delightful. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. They worked their butts off to get make sure all customers get set up and comfortable with the boat. The only nag from me is that there is a lot of latency in the response of the direction of the boat after steering/navigation input, making quick or precise steering a bit of a chore. Our boats top speed also seemed to have decreased a lot on the last half-hour of our 2-hour outing. We arrived back to return the boat a bit late due to the decrease in speed. All-in-all, a fantastic experience. I recommend them highly.

Staff were great. We rented before and loved it. We chose a donut boat since we had a smaller group and it so under powered it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get back to the dock for the last quarter mile due to a light breeze. The boat also looked pretty beat up. Definitely go back to the bigger boats next time.

We rented the luxury boat for 2 hours for a work team building meeting. We had such a great time.

Safe, fun two hours. Good for most ages. The boat is newer, clean, VERY safe. Good sized table in the center,, I think seating for 10, probably more fun with 5 or 6 passengers. Top speed is around 7 mph. Simple controls. Most likely will return.

Boats were great and we had fun. Their policy is that everyone wears masks on the dock but the people working there didnt adhere to their own policy. Most were not wearing a mask the entire time.Edit: They replied saying there is no mask requirements on the dock, but their email confirmation (see image) say otherwise.

Wonderful experience! So calming to be on the water. They provide food options that dont discriminate. So, if you are vegan, vegetarian, etc. There is good food for you! Drinks too. The employees were helpful too. Would recommend.

Beautiful boat ride with efficient friendly staff

Friendly staff and very easy set-up. They are not kidding when they say the boat steering is sensitive, but also that it takes some time to respond. Took a minute to get the hang of it, but because they are such slow speed boats it was easy to get used to and really fun to putt around Lake Union with some good friends!

We love to rent these boats. It is a great way to spend the afternoon. The views of the city are incredible. We are going out again today too.We have done this 4 times now when we come to Seattle absolutely love it. We find new places everytime. This os a great way to have fun and socially distanced from people. They supplied an awesome heater too for the colder weather. I recommend being in the boat around sunset. You can really see the beauty of the city atthis time.

Great experience! Everyone was super nice and extremely helpful. Everything was clean and they sanitized each boat before a new group entered. We ended running late due to our takeout taking a little longer than normal, but they were nice enough to start our two hours over since it wasn’t crazy busy. My husband and I took my mom out on the donut boat for Mother’s Day and we all had a blast! Definitely doing this again with more people with the bigger boat. And they get an extra star from us since one of the employees was also a Sunn fan😆.Thanks for the great Mother’s Day trip guys!!!

My party and I arrived approximately 15 minutes before our reservation. Once we arrived it was an exceptionally easy check-in process. Make sure you watch the instructional video they email to you the day before. Quick 7 minutes with some great tips. Of course, the summers are busy so we were not able to begin right on time, but there is a clean and shaded sitting area with 12 benches on the dock to wait and chat. Additionally, there are indoor bathrooms and a small gift shop where you may naturally feel the urge to purchase a captain’s hat. We started at 5:45 and the boat felt great from the start. Remember, small turns and patience with the boat. The 10 of us were all seated comfortably. We packed dinner and drinks, had a great evening. Thanks EBC for making it possible.

Amazing experience renting a boat from this place! They were super helpful, made sure we had everything we needed (Bluetooth speaker access, etc.), upgraded us since there was an issue with the umbrella on our boat, and even gave us some extra time just because we had a short wait for our boat to be ready. Well worth the price to get a comfy ride around Lake Union!

We had a great time on Lake Union yesterday in our electric boat. The staff was helpful- even showed us some upgraded boats after our rental, since we mentioned we might want to buy an electric boat at some point. We brought our cooler with drinks & snacks, the enclosed boat was very warm, even without the portable heater they supplied, and the 4 of us were very comfortable for our 2-hour cruise around the lake in the 10-passenger boat. We had a 50%-off coupon I found online (winter rate) which made the rental very affordable. Wed definitely use this company again.

This was such a cool experience to try. I just moved here and some friends came to visit so we wanted to have a unique way to explore Seattle. Two hours on the boat was perfect and it was nice that you can bring your own food and beverages but they also offer it as catering as well. Boats are heated and covered so you can go out rain or shine!

We rented a donut boat which was quite slow but faster than I expected. We chose the donut boat because the prices are fairly expensive and it is a 2 hour minimum.The cons: The umbrella would not stay open, it would slowly close so we ended up just keeping it shut. It was a nice day out though so it did not impact our ride. The bluetooth speaker was not charged so we did not have the ability to play music. There was a wait to get on the boat while it was being cleaned that dipped into our 2 hour ride.The pros: It was fun to ride the donut boat, everyone had a good time. Overall, It was fun!I will probably be renting again but I do wish the boat was in a bit better condition.

Simple, hassle-free fun!We made a reservation online, showed up a few minutes before our reservation. had someone walk us through the very simple instructions of operation, and the rules.. then off we went and what a blast we had!! We loved every moment of it and cant wait to come back and do this again soon! The boat was clean. We had ordered the silverware package, and the trays. The trays were nice, clean and loaded with the good stuff, I do wish they had some more fancier charcuterie items. But I do feel it was an ok-value add for the afternoon. Overall, this is what memories are made of! Highly recommend this group.

Was looking for a boat to go out with a group of friends for my birthday, and Electric Boat Company ended up being the perfect fit. Unlike the other places I looked at, you can captain your own boat and bring your own drinks and food (though you can also buy food from them). We took the luxury boat, purchased sandwiches and a cooler with ice, and it was only $40 a person. We had a great time!

Weve done two cruises with The Electric Boat Company. Love the location, as its easy to pick up some food on the way for your ride. Easy process to get in. Clean facilities. Boats are in great condition. And you cant beat the views from Lake Union. This is a must for anyone visiting Seattle to get a view of all the sights on the lake. And this place offers a great experience for a fair price.On our 2nd cruise with them (yesterday) I took my family and my parents out. We got too close to shore (my fault) and ran into some rocks and got stuck. They came out promptly to get us unstuck. They were so friendly and apologetic (even though it was my fault!) and took a stressful situation and gave us a happy ending to our ride. Id give them a great review before this but after that service I had to come write this to let everyone know they cant go wrong with The Electric Boat Company!

Ive never driven a boat until that day it was an easy smooth experience the staff was really friendly and even upgraded us! We could connect our phone to the Bluetooth speakers and jam out in the water!

They sent all the paperwork and safety video beforehand, so the check in process was quick and efficient. The boat was clean and in good condition. We had a very fun sail on a nice day.

We used the portland location for Fathers day... It was REALLY fun and way better than we expected. The boat was really nice, easy to handle, and well worth the price. A perfect way to spend a day or celebrate a special occasion! and very affordable in my opinion!!

This place is an absolute must to see the Seattle waterfront from a new perspective. Actually, Lake Union from a new perspective. Heard of electric cars? Well, this place has electric boats! Whaaaat?! Yup! You have two or three choices, deluxe and standard, and mini donut(?) I believe one comes with a movable table and extra seating. If the weather isnt cooperative you can always roll down the plastic windows. Fortunately enough each time weve come to Lake Union, its always been good weather. The website is a breeze to reserve a boat or you can call. Rates vary depending on calendar dates. Employees are really helpful. Best part is you can bring your own food and drinks onto the boat while youre out cruising around! Be warned though, the office sells limited food and snacks but its probably better if you stop by the grocery store before you come down. We always keep this place in mind when out of towners or family comes to visit. Its a really relaxing and exciting way to take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Union and Seattle.

We rented a luxe boat for our studio outing yesterday and we can’t rave enough about the experience. Your team was so accommodating, friendly, and patient as I’ve switched boats multiple times due to changes in number of attendees. I also took a chance at ordering your various platters (charcuterie, veggies, desserts) and they far exceeded my expectations! The food was fresh and delicious and beautifully put together. Overall we had an amazing time and can’t wait to do it again. We want to make this an annual studio tradition.

Electric Boat Company was so worth every penny. We celebrated my partners birthday and they werent too busy so they were able to let us decorate the boat before we departed! They cant always accommodate this but we were fortunate they werent sold out that day. The staff was friendly and helpful, great people work here. Bluetooth speaker capability was awesome, and our group of 7 was very comfortable with the spacious booth seating. Lake Union is gorgeous and the loop from SLU to Northlake is easy and scenic. The only thing I would change is the ability to rent for longer than 2 hours - we wouldve stayed out closer to 4 hours if we could have - 2 hours flys by so fast when youre having fun! Nonetheless - a wonderful experience and unforgettable memory definitely book with them for your occasion :)

My 9 friends and I took out one of the Duffy boats on a sunny Seattle day and even as locals, we had the best time. The boat is really easy to drive and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend for a great Seattle day!

So much fun. We had a relaxing afternoon showing done visitors to Seattle the sights from a very unique viewpoint- the water! The boats are easy to drive and governed at 7 knots, even if you have no experience.

Hassle free boat rental service. Very friendly and understanding staff who helped us learn all about the boat. Great for birthday celebrations. Advice would be to head into the lake an hour before sunset and enjoy the best of daylight, twilight and sunset.

Great fun, the scavenger hunt was a great group activity. We rented 2 boats and each had an iPad. As we navigated around the lake to different flags we were prompted to answer a riddle or trivia question, or take a photo. It was harder than I expected.The boat was spacious and had cup holders and Bluetooth speaker for music.

It was boring and all there rules are dum u can’t eat and you can’t swim or smoke. It was not fun because you can’t eat but luckily there were window coverings that your can put in case if u are cold which is good.

Safe and easy to operate these boats will get you a complete tour of the lake in two hours. Bring food and drink and play safe.

Definitely a fun experience! Crew was amazing and helpful! Recommend this outting to everyone! We went out on a February day. We had 2 boats, 18 total attended...Even though we were split on two boats it was still enjoyable and unforgettable! It was a little overcast (typical Seattle weather) and windy but it was still such a great time! The boats are enclosed and have a heater. Bluetooth stereo and comfy seating! We are definitely going again!

Fun for all ages! Easy to operate the boat. We let the kids (age 6 and 8) drive the boat when we were in middle of lake and away from anything they could hit. We took a standard boat and cruised at approx 4 knots. Interesting scenic location in Lake Union with lots to see. Boat had a heater but we didn’t use it on a sunny December day. We opened some side windows for airflow. Super fun, I look forward to doing it again sometime. Boat company employees were very helpful before and after our cruise, and on the phone. In 2 hours, we had time to circle Lake Union with a quick stop at Ivar’s Restaurant’s dock. Ivar’s had our bags of lunch food ready because we previously paid for it on their website. (In December 2020 Ivar’s restrooms are temporarily closed.) Next time, 3 hours would be better if we want to stop someplace, although 2 hours was enough for the 3 year old who fortunately stayed happy thoughout the whole boat ride. Great experience for our family group ages 3 through 60+.

We had a great time on our electric boat ride. The boat was comfy & warm, the staff friendly; and did you know theres a Seattle Easter boat parade? We got to see the decorated boats from the water.Highly recommended for a nice jaunt with friends or family.

Their boats are so much fun. Lets you take in sights you just cant get from land. Highly recommend boating over to Ivars, tie up to their dock and get Fish and Chips! Because their boats are fully enclosed and heated, you can go out in any weather and still have a great time!
