I brought my car in here when it died on me. She quoted me fairly, began the work, found more extensive damaged and alerted me as soon as possible. After her diagnostics, I decided not to have it repaired and sell it as is. She did not charge me anything even considering she had put in hours to start taking it apart and then put it back together. Loved her honesty and helping me out when I decided not to repair it. Will return when my new car needs servicing.

The crew here is awesome and qpoc female owned, a rarity in the auto mechanic industry. They quoted labor estimates up front, and provided another transparent estimate to be approved per service before completing the job. Hands down the best experience I’ve had with an auto shop; will definitely be returning!

They overfilled the engine oil when they did my oil change, which can be problematic especially for an older vehicle. They were also supposed to do some work on my car but after multiple attempts to schedule it they kept not responding and blowing me off. I finally gave up and went back to my previous garage, Lioe’s, which is great and I regret going elsewhere.

Mose and the team are very knowledgeable and respectful. I took my car in for a diagnosis and was given a couple of options that best fit my situation. Also, the team took the time to answer my never ending list of questions!

Mose Auto is amazing. Their staff is made up of professional and extremely inviting people. I have brought my 2009 Subaru Forester here on multiple occasions, and each time my Mose and her crew have fixed it up wonderfully and at a GREAT price. My car is usually done same day or early the next. Super efficient. I am a young queer person that admittedly knows nothing about cars, but Mose and her crew have kindly educated me on so much. When I needed new tires, Mose got me a great deal and even invited me back to watch the process of applying new tires on my vehicle.I was very nervous when I began searching for a shop, as im under-informed about car maintenance and feared getting taken advantage of. I had the complete opposite experience at Mose Auto- nothing but pure kindness, great work, and extremely informed folks here! I HIGHLY suggest you bring your vehicle here.

My steering went out 2 weeks ago, so I decided to give this shop a chance after someone recommended it. When I called on a Thursday, they were booked until Tuesday, which wasnt very surprising for a smaller shop, so I booked an appointment to drop my car off Tuesday morning.I dropped it off so they could find the issue on Tuesday. I did not get an estimate when I dropped it off, and figured they would make one later in the day, once they found the issue. The next morning I messaged them requesting an estimate since I hadnt heard anything from them. They said the part they needed was not in stock, and would take about a week to get there, and that I could pick up my car and they would send an estimate once they found the part needed.I let them be for another day and went into the shop the next day to see where in the process they were. They seemed to have made no progress and when I asked for a rough estimate they told me they could not give me an estimate of any kind until they could find the part they needed to order, which they also claimed they could not find any in the state of Washington. They said I could take my car with me if I wanted and they would send an estimate once they found the part to order. I decided to take my car with me and wait for an estimate.On Saturday, I gave up on waiting for them to find a part and scheduled an appointment at another shop, only citing steering issues while making the appointment. When I dropped it off the following Monday, I was able to get a quote before I left and was able to get it up and running by Wednesday. At this point it had been over a week since I dropped it off at Mose Auto, but I hadnt heard anything from them.Another week has passed now and they never contacted me with any estimate. For reference, when I picked up my car a week and a half ago I was told they would contact me once they found the part along with an estimate, and I never told them I even went to another shop, much less already fixed my car. I waited to see how long they would take to even get back, but they never did.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE LIKE I DID!!!

Friendly, welcoming, above-and-beyond service. One of the more affordable places I’ve been to and the owner triple-checked my car to make sure it was safe for a long trip. Note to others: I missed the tip line when signing for a credit card but next time will definitely do so. This quality of service is worth every penny!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My experience with Mose Auto was above and beyond what I expected. I had a car inspection done and was amazed at how efficient the team at Mose is. I had a complete and detailed report before my work day was even over (and I didnt drop off until halfway through the day too!). Scheduling and communication was a breeze (especially for a phone shy person like myself, texting is an option!). Most unbelievable of all is that since I didnt end up getting any repairs there was no charge! I truly cannot recommend Mose more fervently. I am actually looking forward to the next time I can take my car in and support this amazing business. Thank you so much!

Mose is incredible! As someone who doesnt know very much about cars, I often feel worried about getting ripped off by folks working on my car. Since finding Mose, I no longer have that worry! I trust her with my car completely. Mose always clearly explains the work that shes doing, is upfront about what repairs are necessary right away and what can wait, and is very direct about price points. She completes repairs quickly and has been very accommodating of my schedule. I cannot recommend Mose Auto more!

Ive been to Mose Auto several times now and have always been satisfied with how my car and myself have been taken care of. Mariajosé and her team are clear about what they plan to do, how much it costs, and how long itll take. If I need my vehicle back day of, I schedule my appointments accordingly.Mariajosé quickly diagnosed what was going on with my battery and the system and told me different options, price points, and the pros and cons with each of those office. Ive also taken my car here to get oil changes and its quick and affordable, like all my services here.Most recently I had trouble getting my car started. I diy-ed it through youtube videos in order to get the car home and called Mose to see when they could get me in. They squeezed me in and confirmed that my ignition relay was the issue and that I had done the correct fix and didnt charge me for their time! The piece of mind I get from a mechanic and her crew that I trust and wont oversell or overcharge me is amazing. Im actually due for another oil change so its time for a call...Mariajosé and her team at Mose have always been patient with me and take the time to educate me on whats going on, how it happened, and how to keep my car in top running shape so Im not having to take it into the shop.

Mose was able to describe the issues surrounding my vehicle in simple terms I could understand. She answered each of my questions in person and over email to my satisfaction.She was able to get to work assessing my vehicle within 24 hours and get back to me shortly thereafter.Most importantly, she was candid with me about what she recommends for my vehicle moving forward - even if it meant losing business for her. I dont think you can get better than that in a mechanic.I cant recommend her highly enough.

Ive been going to Maria for about four years now and it has been a pleasant experience. Maria is honest and provides quick service at an affordable cost. I appreciate the fact that she always charges me a stable rate for my oil change, instead of randomly inflating the price as many chains do! Went to Mose Auto cause my engine was making an odd sound and something was leaking. After taking a look at she decided to refer me to a transmission specialist and was kind enough to drive my car there for me. Super grateful for the amazingly friendly and honest service. Ive never trusted an auto shop the way I trust Mose Auto. They are transparent in the work they do and the costs associated. They give realistic timelines on getting work done. Best of all, they consult with me if there are additional costs or surprise problems. I recommend them to everyone.

I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I can no longer be silent. About a year ago I took my car to Mose Auto on the recommendation of two friends and I have regretted it ever since. The head gaskets on my Subaru were failing and I agreed to have them replaced despite the $2,000 quote because I was assured the car should be reliable for another 5 years.At the end of the day, or whole month rather, the job cost just over $3,000 and they billed me for 15 hours of work. 15 hours, and they kept it for a month, thats 30 minutes a day that my car was actually being worked on and I was without a car.Mose said they had a few notes for me for future repairs that they would e-mail to me and never did. Never e-mailed the receipt either.I went to check the oil and noticed that I could see the ground through the engine compartment, they had forgotten to put the valance back on which isnt a big deal but sketchy. Makes you wonder what else they forgot.I noticed that the reserve coolant level was dropping so I asked Mose what kind they used and they couldnt tell me. Said theyd have no way of knowing. Im sorry, but there are coolants you use because you can, and then there are the ones that youre supposed to use with a specific car and no, you cant always go by color. So not only was there no record keeping they also dont have a standard way of deciding which coolant to use. This comes back up later in this story.Since the head gasket job Ive noticed a drop in power which could be a lot of things but implies the timing may be off, but I have yet to have that checked.The engine power started dropping and I noticed a a funny noise. I took it in and it turns out a bolt had fallen out of the exhaust where it meets the engine and the seal had burnt up. They fixed it but upon getting the car and dropping $70 for the repair I was informed that they didnt have locktite so the bolt may come loose again and that I should remind them when I bring it in for an oil change. This is an area that would have been affected by the head gasket job but they still charged me because their warranty is only 3 months. Thats a big red flag for me.So I started to notice that my engine temp was starting to creep up and when I went to Canada a week or so ago the car started seriously overheating so I had to stop half way up and on the return trip so it could cool down. Took it to a different mechanic today and they said that Mose had used an aftermarket thermostat which are well known for not having enough clearance to properly regulate engine temp. He also found that the radiator is becoming clogged, likely due to mixing different types of antifreeze. This repair is putting me out another $440.At the end of the day I wanted Mose to be a good mechanic and support someone in the queer community but when I think of how much car trouble I know one of those friends who recommended Mose is always having I cant say that they have bad luck. At this point I am 100% sure that Mose is just a terrible mechanic. Not only do they not have the industry standard 1 year warranty and therefore do not stand by their own work, they dont return calls, dont follow through on e-mails, they forget to put all the parts back on the car, they use substandard parts, cant answer basic maintenance questions, and I cant say if I would have been better off not getting my car fixed. Yeah, it would have burnt up eventually, but then I would still have the almost $4,000 that I could put toward a new car.I feel bad for giving them a bad review, Mose is a nice person, but I cannot in good conscience recommend them.
