If I could give the store and company zero stars I would. Lets talk about our shopping experience at Zara.About a month back I saw that they were the only company with a line to get into their store. As if Im waiting for the VIP bottle service in Oldtown. I decided I didnt want to wait almost 60 minutes to get into the store.About a week ago Zara changed their policies so that you didnt have to wait in line for almost an hour to look at their clothes... right around the time of their semi annual sale. As I walked into the store I noticed clothes thrown all over the store and everything pick through as some of the items were the last clothes left in the mall. Not a single employee was rearranging anything and there were clothes scattered all over the floor.Lets be honest we all know sales get pretty crazy, but overall the store was a mess. Clothes all over and no employees to be found.Zara launched a few new lines and seemed to have up their prices on everything. I didnt mind paying a little more if the quality was better. Boy was I wrong. Most of their material is still ONE PLY and disguised as better quality for a 20% increased priceNot only that, but when I went to go try on the clothes... the fitting rooms are closed!? The cashier informed me I can try them on and return them if they do not work out.... well considering the line to return was about 30+ minutes it seems that idea isnt really working out. I ended up purchasing a few things and in the end none of them worked out. After driving back to the store I am currently in line with the other 20+ people waiting to get a refund on my clothes.Overall, I wont be shopping at Zara any longer. Fast fashion with a heavy price tag and lack of customer service is not my partay in the long run.

Sharing a recent, negative experience from my wife’s perspective: I love Zara and get most of my kid/baby clothes there, but I don’t appreciate the company’s lack of consideration for the customer.I had a dress for my little girl that was one size off, that I needed to exchange for the next size down (I had bought it a week ago at another Zara location while on vacation). I looked online to make sure the item that I needed was in stock at this location. Then I packed up my car with my two babies and drove over 30 minutes one way (why is there only one in the Phoenix area? and in an inconvenient/noncentral area).I get to the mall, get everyone in the stroller, walk a mile and go up three different elevators to get into the store, go to the kids section, find the dress, they don’t have the size they said they had online. I find an employee, ask them if there are additional sizes somewhere. They go to check, come back and tell me no. They scan my item again, go and look where I already looked to come back and tell me they don’t have the size. I told him my situation and said I would like to order the correct size online if they don’t have it in the store. The employee suggests that they give me in-store credit. But then she says that the registers in the kids department aren’t working, so I need to go over to the men’s department.I go over to the men’s area and tell the employee there what the employee in the children’s section told me. He says they will not give me a gift card, in-store credit, or a refund unless I have a paper receipt. I tell them I have the credit card I bought it on, because most stores can look up and process a refund or exchange with your credit card. He told me to look it up online next time before I come, and I told him that’s what I did. I am moving in a week and the drive will be even longer, and he told me they sell out quickly and don’t know when they will get them back in stock, so not helpful.I can’t understand why the company would have a policy of paper receipt only returns in 2021. I was disappointed in the apathy and lack of courtesy of the employees, but even moreso, a rigid and inconvenient store policy that does not serve the customer. At minimum, make sure the inventory online is updated. Wasted an entire morning and will reconsider if/how I shop here.

Ive visited Zara in Washington, DC, Virginia, and Madrid. This was the worst experience Ive ever had at Zara. The customer service was awful, and the only employee working was the cashier. The staff was disorganized, unhelpful, and at times downright hostile. I was trying on clothes in the fitting room and asked for help with a size. The person obviously didnt want to help me, so I told her Id look for it myself. Her response was, good idea. When I returned to try on the new size, they told me the fitting rooms were closed. I was appalled. They hadnt helped me at all, then refused to let me try on another size Id found myself. I finally asked for a manager who let me try on the outfit. Zara has great fashion, but youre better off buying your clothes online than dealing with the unprofessionalism at this store.

Last time we shopped here in January, this place was a disaster, tables, racks filled with clothes thrown everywhere. But today, it was nicely organized and filled with some great new items. So, it was a 20 minute line to get in and a short line at check out. But all in all a good haul.

Im typically a good/positive reviewer, but after YEARS of having the same awful experience at this Zara, I had to leave my first bad review. The employees seem to hate life and the customer service is completely non-existent. THE LINES. Whether youre purchasing or returning, they will only have one incredibly aloof employee assisting all customers. And by all customers, I mean approximately 40+ customers in line at a time. FOR YEARS this has been the case, and the fact that it still hasnt been addressed is completely confusing. Its common sense and common decency. Id step out on a limb to say that none of Zaras employees would ever want to consistently experience that as a customer somewhere... I love the clothes, but I only shop online now. In-store shopping at this location is excruciating.

I placed an online order for a pair of pants and got the email saying they had arrived and I had 15 business days to pick them up. They were sent back to the warehouse after 9 and I was not able to get the pants at all even after showing them the email saying 15 business days.

Cute clothes sure. But I value customer service and this place isn’t it. Friday and ONE cashier with a huge line?! Monkeys would be more competent and open more registers.... took photos of what I liked, left in the middle of the store and ordered online since it’s not a rush. Store was also a mess and fitting room closed.

Waited 10 min in the line upstairs before the lady told us that exchanges and returns were only downstairs so we had to go wait even longer downstairs. They also have one entire checkout area completely closed down so the lines are extra long. The place is also a mess with clothes scattered everywhere underneath the racks and the workers here are extremely slow.

I’ve been a customer of Zara for over 10 years now, and this place needs to retrain the employees and management in customer service. We purchased about 10 items and the credit card transaction went through. Meaning, I inserted my Visa, it did a pending post. I signed on the touch pad and then hit OK. And then the cashier hit a button and PRINTED a receipt that said “Approved”. Then as we were leaving the store, the cashier rudely stated “did you pay for your items”, implying we stole it. Better way would have been “I have accidentally voided your transaction” can we please ring it back up? Instead we go back, and she is clearly not trained on POS systems. She said WE voided it, versus accepting responsibility. I showed her the receipt and my Nordstrom Visa account showing a posted transaction! She then says well I’ve never seen this and “you don’t understand our system”. Then it went off. Unknowingly I was a VP of IT for a BANK and I know how transactions work and PCI and compliance. BTW - it’s not your system. Zara does not write and develop a credit card transaction system. Those standards are owned by Visa and a 3rd party like Square writes it. Just because you have a Zara label doesn’t mean anything beyond inventory management. I calmly try to explain this to her. But she continues to be condescending and rude saying “it must be your fault and you don’t know our system”. Not dealing with people of low IQ - I just wait for her manager - George- and to be honest not any better. He was just as rude and ignorant as her. I heard him whisper that she voided it but wasn’t sure. We re-process it and then instead of apologizing for his staff member’s behavior - he circles the Zara customer service number, which I intend to file a complaint in full FACTUAL detail. My only ask is if a corporate PR or CX manager or someone with authority sees this - please have George and his staff trained on credit card systems and how they actually work to prevent miseducated statements. Completely avoidable. Just accept accountability, I cannot in magical real time world void a posted transaction just 30 seconds later. I wish I had that much digital power though.

I had the worst shopping experience with Zara and this store location! They literally stole my money! I purchased a couple of different items there a few weeks ago. Last week I wanted to return some of them and that was when I noticed they have charged me $50 for a $19 shirt. They did not accept their mistake, neither they accepted the return, nor gave me the price difference back! The manager didn’t even bother! What thieves! I couldn’t be more angry!I even called the customer service 5 days ago and I am still waiting for them to get back to me within 72 hours!I would’ve attached the receipt and the item’s picture here for proof if it was possible!

Went there twice this week. The store is a mess. Clothes flung over tables and racks. The employees worked with no urgency even when the line was all the way to front of the store and around to the back. One cashier took 10 minutes to ring up 4 items. I was in line for 50 minutes to return 2 items and it was a Monday. I went again the next day and same story. The store messy again. Waited 40 minutes to buy 2 items.

Always loved Zara but sad that this is the only one around. I was the fifth person in line, two groups ahead of me and there wasn’t a single associate letting customers in. Waited almost 30 min, watching 20+ people come out then someone finally comes and lets the two groups in and stops me even though I’m by myself. Finally get in and this place is a MESS, clothes scattered everywhere, shoes all over the floor, a bunch of different styles stashed on one fixture that weren’t even on sale. I’ve been to countless Zara’s around the world and I’ve never seen one close to this, looked less appealing than Ross, especially on the second floor. When I finally found what I was looking for, I saw the single cashier and long line that everyone in the review section has mentioned and just gave up and left.

Oh man... this location is terrible. I’m all for covid regulations, but if you’re going to have dozens of people wait outside the store in line to reduce the herds of buyers, maybe you should also enforce your mask policy too? I have people breathing down my neck with no masks on, while waiting in another 30 minute line just to make a return with “mask required” signs at every corner. Employees clearly aren’t happy to be there and neither was I.

I have shop at Zara for years and I understand sometimes in business you loses and you gained just like sports. I was shock I ordered $309.00 items last year which I have receipts to Proof and I never received any of the items. I have called customer service so many times and they will not give me my money back or the items I have purchased. This is very disappointing from a store that I used to recommend to all my family and friends but now I can’t tell anyone to shop here. Just because you losing business or losing store doesn’t give you the right to steals from customers. Then if you want to try something on you have to purchase it then go downstairs to the restroom to try it on, if it doesn’t fit then prepare to come back to the store only to wait another 30-45 minutes to either return or exchange!

I received a pants as a Christmas gift. I never received the receipt, and I didnt like the style. I decided to change the pants for another ( different style) however the supervisor (AMANDA ) was rude saying that without receipt she cant do anything. I explained the situation, saying that was a gift. But she said No. I know that the store has rules. But the customer is always first. Just wanted change for another, very simple. I decided donate my pant to her. Because I dont like it. Hope she like it. My family and I never going to buy something else from the Zara store!!! I browsed and shopped this store. The only thing nice about it is that its has a nice lay out and clean. The clothes are unfortunately cheaply made and well overpriced. I bought a nice black winter coat from H&M and I paid well under a 100.00. The shoes look like Wal-Marts best in Zara. Dresses your local cheap boutique brand. The brand is not what you see on the website with the luxury models shame shame.

The place is a zoo, there’s no regard for social distancing. No mask enforcement either - I watched a man remove his mask to cough out in the open without covering his mouth. Disgusting. You’d think Covid originated here.To top it off, they only have one register open for returns and the line you have to wait in is astronomical. You see multiple employees meandering around the store (possibly restocking?) while the poor employee at the one register is very obviously overwhelmed. Harsh conditions for employees, ridiculous return system, on top of little Covid enforcement is grounds for the manager of this location to be terminated.

The COVID paranoia creeped in completely. You can purchase the overpriced cotton products but you cannot try them on (?) Because of the risk of catching “”infectious disease”” so even the walls and curtains of the fitting rooms, and your own masks wont be able to help you! Oh yeah, but you can line up one after each other or have a lunch downstairs with Zara staff in the food court without the mask (rolling my eyes). The staff needs some training on how to speak politely to customers, and the fitting rooms (even though theyre closed) look like mess.

This place is horrible. First time I ever shopped there and asked about the return policy. Was told it was easy and all I needed was a tag and to return in 30 days. Receipt went missing and they can’t return the items or even do store credit. That is the worst return policy in retail. Never shop here. Associates are not trained well and they don’t want to compete in this decade. Now I’m out $200 for clothes I don’t need or want.You suck!

This is the first time it happened to me...I found a pair of sneakers online and checked their availability at this store ( I lived abroad and in Chicago and I always did this and it always worked! ) and they were available with my size. I showed up at the store asking for them and the cashier who looked like he was 15 told me that they were not available and I should come back next week...This is the first time it happens and zara tool is accurate and never lies !!! He didnt want to go get them at the storage room..he was to lazy!!! Zara be careful at the type of employee you hire because they can damage your reputation and your business..I decided to not buy them and keep my money for another brand!

This is horrible store. They open at 10 but no one to help you until after 11. Tired to return a shirt because I lost my receipt they would not give me a refund ok I understand that ask for a store credit and I would pick out something else, no can’t do that can only exchange for the very same shirt different size the shirt did not fit my husband right so I could only get him small or extra large neither one would of fit him. I have have never bought anything from a store that would not let you get something different. I will never shop there again.

Great clothing, but they do not care to staff the register properly so on a slow days you have to look for someone to ring you up and on busier days you’ll wait forever because they don’t call more staff to assist when the line gets long. Instead, someone (who could probably help btw) will come tell you that there are more registers upstairs. Took me 15min to simply exchange an item with only 3 people in front of me. Line was just as long when I left.

Quite possibly the worst store manager I have every had the displeasure of interacting with (Sophia). I purchased a $69.00 shirt there 5 weeks ago, wore it out 1 night and the side shoulder split on me. I brought it back with receipt and asked to return it or get a store credit since they no longer had the shirt. I was told because I cut the inside washing label out (because it scratched my side) but the Zara tag was still on the shirt that there was nothing she was going to do about it. I could not believe what I was hearing.........and this was after she made me wait at the register for 5 minutes after she slowly waltzed down to talk to me. The best part was her ending it was an eye roll. Zara maybe do a better job screening your store managers. People skills are seriously lacking with Sophia!!

Have bought all my jeans here for the past couple years. Bent over in a pair I bought two weeks ago (wearing for the first time) and the entire back pocket seem ripped. Brought them in to exchange for the same pair, and they wouldn’t let me because I didn’t have the receipt. It’s 2020. No one saves their receipts. Had the card I purchased them on me so I suggested that he look up the purchase. And he said he “couldn’t help me”. Garbage customer service. Never buying anything from this location again.

I love zara clothes, and I always know what I need them grab, pay and go. But this time made me realize how sucks the staffs are. I bought some clothes online while Black Friday, some of the clothes size was too big, so I went to store to exchange them. I tried to find them by myself at first, then I asked one staff where the clothes at, but she was not familiar about the clothes:) Well, I just went to cashier let them do the exchange. They made me go up and down stairs twice. Finally, they returned my clothes by mistake, and tell me if I want buy them again that I have to pay the full price.

Dont worry, the staff are rude around the world, so at least they are consistent. I discovered Zara while in Milan and both stores had terrible customer service. Scottsdale is no exception. I love zara clothes for both my baby and I but I have to agree that the store manager sucks. On December eleventh I came in to return 4 shirts I had bought for my son. A female associate and the store manager (I believe her name is Evelyn) were both at the counter while my return was being processed. At the end of the return I was given a receipt without the return amount since it was an online purchase but was told that I would receive a receipt with the return amount through email. Once I was already home I received that email but the return amount was for 3 shirts, not 4. Keep in mind that the store kept all 4 items I was returning. I call the store and spoke to the same manager that oversaw my return. She said I could either go in store and get it fixed or call customer service and do it through them. I decided to get it fixed in store and went back 2 days later. When I went back in store and asked for the manager she very rudely said, I said you have to go through customer service, I cant do it in store. I then reminded her that she clearly gave me the option of getting it fixed in store OR customer service. So she changes her story and says, yes I said that but you had to come that same day now you have to go through customer service, theres nothing I can do.1. SHE NEVER SAID THAT I HAD TO COME THAT SAME DAY OR I WOULD HAVE.2. Theres nothing she can do? Isnt she the store manager?After a failed attempt of getting my issue fixed in store (that THEY caused), I then contacted customer service. I told them everything that had happened and sent them a picture of my receipt. They did everything to try and help me out but at the end they said that there was nothing they could do since the item wasnt on the receipt and it was returned in store. They advised me to go back to the store and get it fixed there. So instead of going and wasting more time and gas on fixing the problem that they created, I decided to call and speak to the store mananger. I tell her what customer service said and she says that she has to confirm and that she would give me a call back. This was 2 weeks ago. I havent gotten a call back. I have been calling for days and I get no answer. They still have my shirt AND money. Where can I find a store manager that can live up to her title and help fix my issue? because Evelyn apparently cant. It has been a month. If Im not going to be getting my money back then give me back the shirt I PAID for.

I bought my son 2 pairs of pants. I was told to return the pair that did not fit. I was never told that i only had 1 month. Needless to say it was over 1 month and i could not return or exchange them.I will never shop here again. be careful, they do not post the return policy, it is on the back of the sales receipt. Not where i would have looked. The sales person knew i was going to return whichever pair did not fit.

Went to purchase a blazer that was worth $130 but it says in the receipt around $150. was still at the register and tried to tell them. They just told us to get back in the line to fix it. We didnt made the mistake. It was them. They were just really rude. I would say, Racist?
