Very very good bagels and coffee! Got the co-op sandwich, which is a Lox bagel. They pile a ton of smoked salmon on it, give huge portions of red onion, and a solid tomato. The capers were delicious and the cream cheese was thick.The dark roast coffee was excellent! Perfectly brewed. They have a large assortment of coffee to choose from, along with different sandwiches, bagels, and breakfast burritos. The have a good selection of cold drinks too. The staff is friendly and they have comfortable chairs. Its in a nice location too.They have a punch card system too, so if you buy so many meals/lunches... you get one free.10/10 Ill be back.

The bagel sandwiches are extremely delicious and filling! Freshly baked bagel and great tasting eggs! The smoothie I ordered was so amazing! I ordered the wild berry smoothie and was very thrilled with the outcome. Ill definitely be making my way back to this store in the future.

I hate to write this review because we were customers at that location for 20 years-not kidding. We have seen management changes. We have given this last change 4 chances now and this morning we even felt a little ill afterward. I’m sorry I want to give you business but cannot. The last time we also saw a man walk back to the kitchen from the dining room on his phone without a mask. We have had zero customer service each time. Friendliness and thank yous go a long way but honestly I can overlook that part-it’s the rest I can’t. I wish before others took over they would have paid attention to what brought that last family success. As with the other review on the restrooms-they weren’t lying..

This place is not worth your time, effort or money. Ownership may have changed. Today’s experience was not like past experiences over the past 10+ years. First, little children running all around the kitchen, not appropriate. Second, staff extremely rude, combative and unprofessional. Third, they struggle to have skills required to make the most basic order, yes...a bagel. Fourth, pay very close attention to pricing. I requested (1) plain bagel, toasted with butter, result.....$4,95...really. I drove a half mile away to Einstein’s (next to Target) and had a perfectly cooked bagel with butter equaling $1.69. DO NOT GIVE THESE IDIOTS A DIME OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

Had a breakfast bagel sandwich. The bagel was very good, with a very nice texture. However it was thin and, being a jalapeno bagel, did not contain much flavor. The scrambled eggs were also little watery.It was at about 3.5 stars, but their two TVs were both set to the same -very polarizing- news network. Kind of brought down the atmosphere, so this restaurant sits solidly at 3 stars.

Big city has always been one of favorite go to bagel shop. Its always delicious. After talking to owners, I found out they are one of many small family owned businesses that have been left behind due to an incompetent governor. PPP is only good enough for the governors friends and donors. I wish people see this post and help them out with your patronage. You wont be disappointed.

Thumbs up!!We wanted to get bagels here upon our arrival in Scottsdale but didn’t make it until the next day. The following day, we did go to the Bagel Shop and they know what they are doing!! Delicious bagels which we ate for breakfast every morning while in Scottsdale. Don’t go anywhere else for bagels...absolutely wonderful. We will be back to visit this shop whenever we come back to AZ.

Are the bagels good? Yes they are, and are the bagel sandwiches good? Absolutely, but I purchased 2 bagel breakfast sandwiches and 2 bottles of water which came out to about $20.00. Thats quite a bit so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I am from NYC and go here regularly for their amazing bagels. Well I had them cater a large corporate breakfast for a few hundred people and they knocked it out of the park. Delivery was right on time. They thought of and brought everything needed for the event, even things I assumed I would have to provide. We had rave reviews from everyone on how fresh and delicious the bagels, pastries, and coffee was. Whether you want a bagel for yourself or for a catered breakfast event Big City Bagels is the place to go!

We’ve gone here for years but sad to say adios. Pretty much everything has gone down hill. There is no effort to fix or clean the interior. The bathrooms are downright horrendous. It’s amazing the health department can give this a passing rating. In fairness, the food prep seems sanitary. This use to be run and serviced by a family but slowly the sons and daughters have moved on and the workers are not as conscientious. The last couple times we went the resulting order was not anything like what we used to get (egg sandwich). It seems with the dog restaurant the have next door, there’s little care taken to keep this place clean and tidy and fit for humans. We will not be returning.

I am from the East coast in this is as close as you can get to in East Coast bagel. If you were like me and its been sometime since youve lived in a part of the country where they serve consistently great bagels big city bagels will provide you a very good experience that will make you happy in think of home. It might not quite match up to what you grew up with if you were like me but otherwise its a terrific substitute. For me and my family we dont go anywhere else other than here to get our vehicles

I went in this morning for 1/2 dozen bagels ($7.99). Somehow, I ended up with a $13.49 bill. I thought maybe I was being charged for a full dozen ($12.49) so I reminded the cashier it was only a half dozen. The cashier said, You picked all bagels that have an additional 50 cent charge... what?! $13.49 for six bagels? COMPLETE RIP OFF. I ended up going further down to a place that rhymes with STOMPIES and was able to get a FULL DOZEN of the SAME FLAVOR bagels for LESS MONEY. Could not believe this place would have the audacity to upcharge for a cheese bagel. Cant wait until this place closes.

Simply the best bagels in town. One shop, family run, great service! My coworkers all agree when I bring them into work they are the best. Fresh, not chewy, just the right density. You can get a decent bagel from the chains but these guys are far superior to them. Take it from a former Long Islander, these are the real deal!

I love the bagels which are a little crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. My absolute favorite bagels are sold here at this family operated shop.Also, if you like the flavor but not the texture of lox/smoked salmon, be sure to try the lox cream cheese! 9:15a so its after the morning rush. Quick service from the friendly people working this morning. My breakfast bagel was delivered to my table within minutes. They have a delicious bagel. Its got a nice, full bagel shape that is soft when biting into it. What a fresh bagel should be.

We had the Rueben eggs Benedict and home fries and a lox bagel and it was SO good that we ended up getting bagels to-go. We came here because all of the brunch places around where packed but I am so glad we found this place! It is big inside, comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the bagels are fresh! Saw that you are opening a location closer to us on McDowell and Scottsdale and we are excited about that! Will be back

Best bagels in North Scottsdale. Wow. Especially if you get there right at 6:00 AM when they come right out of the oven. A French toast bagel at 6:01 non-toasted with plain spread will blow your mind.Sandwiches are also good. Coffee is good. Staff is made up of bagel pros. Basically everything you want in a bagel shop.

Friendly and honestly one of the better breakfast bagels I have had. It was juicy yet the bagel was soft and crunchy. Perfectly heated up. Coffee was pretty decent also.

Had the bagel with caps and lox and it was tasteless. Lox seemed old and slimy. Cream cheese was tasteless. Bagels were sub par. Daughter had the bagel pizza which was so greasy I wouldnt let her it it.

Asked for toasted bagel with cream cheese and a bagel pizza thing. Got an ice cold, massive scoop, of cream cheese on a bagel that felt more microwaved rather than toasted. The pizza bagel was so cold that the cheese wouldnt even melt.

Went in and ordered a burrito that had a torn tortilla, cold potatoes and cold cheese. Amazes me how little care went in to making the food.
