Hand rolled ice cream was pretty good, the rest of the experience was bad.Atmosphere is very unpleasant. Stuff everywhere, unclean & very unorganized.Owner was grumpy, intimidating and not inviting at all. Clearly not interested in customer service or anything else except for money.Ordered 3 scoups of ice cream and every single one was TERRIBLY frostbitten. It was aweful! Tasted like it came from some old freezer. Any grocery store ice cream wouldve been 10000times better. Mentioned it to the owner & suggest he take a look at his product as you can even see through the glass the piles of ice growing on the ice cream. Also it was obvious all the tubs melted at one point & been re-frozen. (You know what the does to the cream)Anyway, owner said that its just how it is. They normally use frostbitten ice cream for shakes. 😬🤯I can overlook a lot of things if a place can deliver an amazing, quality dish, but in this case I have to overlook the place all together. Please dont waste your money here. They have some serious improvements to make.

For weeks my kids asked about getting hand rolled ice cream while we were on vacation. Unfortunately, Curly Cream was the only option and it was the WORST ice cream experience we have ever had. The man working it (who I am assuming is the owner) was the rudest individual I have ever met, not to mention the cleanliness standards were sub par at best. If it were not me promising my kids about going, I would have walked out. Do not waste your time or money. The ice cream itself was not even that good, especially for the price! There are far better ice cream places in Sarasota/Siesta Key than this and when you go to those places, you will have a MUCH better customer service experience.

Its really cool watching rolled ice cream be made! This little place was so good, we went back 3 or 4 days in a row! Friendly family that owns it. They have some pretty unique flavors! I basically created a death by chocolate bowl my first time, then went for a mango flavored treat on the next visit and found a new favorite.My fiance fell in love with the various oreo flavors. I stole a couple of bites, and they did not disappoint. Stop by and try it! Its tasty, its super neat to watch it be made right in front of you, and youre supporting a local business!

Dirtiest looking ice cream shop in siesta. Ran and operated by one guy who was extremely rude to pretty much everyone. The group in front of us had 10 people, and walked out when the owner made a very rude response to a question. He actually snarled and sarcastically chuckled when I asked if he offered any discounts for veterans. Don’t waste your time or money.If you don’t like the customer service business, maybe find something else to do. Check other reviews.

Honestly the worst ice cream place I’ve ever been to, owner was extremely rude, the business is dingy, smells weird, and overall was a terrible experience. Honestly surprised this place is still in business. Save your money for somewhere in Sarasota with better ice cream, a cleaner establishment, and friendly staff.

Stopped here after a long day at the beach. For $7 you get hand rolled ice cream and two toppings. I got the mango ice cream with pineapple and banana. So amazing! The A/C in there was ice cold and there was no line.

Im shocked this business is still open.Had my children not begged for Hand Rolled Ice Cream, I wouldve just walked out. The guy is Rude beyond comparison. Never spoke a word until it was time to ask for payment. Also kept the same pair of gloves on the entire time thru multiple customers after cash handling. We will never return again.

I honestly wish I could leave less than one star. Old man running the register was hateful for absolutely no reason. He was rude from start to finish, and we didn’t even get our ice cream because of his unnecessary attitude. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your time.

Don’t even try! The old man behind the counter was incredibly rude and went so far as to cuss us out in front of our six year old. He has two signs that both say hand-rolled ice cream but apparently one list is actually scoop ice cream (??) which he does not want to serve you.I tried to order two scoops of scoop ice cream (that I saw in the giant tubs) and he yelled at me that they were not rolled ice cream. He yelled. So, I tried to order something different. He yelled. He cursed. He mocked us and said “Go smoke your funny stuff” referring to the bag we had from the CBD store next door with muscle rub in it.Finally, we left and so did the couple behind us. He continued to shout at us on our way out the door. As locals, we went back to our favorite ice cream spot down the road. I cannot image walking in on vacation and having your evening ruined by this man who clearly should not be in customer service, let alone a business where children frequent. Try literally anywhere else BUT here.

Very good, if youve never been, you have to go....they make it right in front of you, you can pick 2 toppings to go over your 6 rolls for $7. Excellent taste, excellent entertainment! Easy free parking too! Just beyond town near the gas station.

A year ago, February 2019, we visited this little shop. We where so glad we did! Absolutely amazing flavors and its so cool watching your dessert being made as you watch. Now, this year we are making it a point to return again and take our friends with us. The place was clean and tidy too. The owner wasnt overly talkative but thats fine too. Not everyone is a talkative person. Go support this small business, you wont regret it!

We were so busy with the kids that didn’t realize the man who was doing the ice cream wasn’t wearing a mask. When we asked him how he reopened after the quarantine. He had to follow certain guidelines we asked him why he wasn’t wearing one if he was doing the ice cream and he said he didn’t have to because he is not a restaurant and doesn’t sell food! Excuse me? Ice cream is food and that he got hot wearing the mask all day. And he was touching his face with the gloves he was wearing and making the ice cream. He should be supporting more CDC guidelines.

If you are looking for great tasting ice cream then get some rolled ice cream. It is so flavorful and i like best after it has softened up a bit. My kids and I both love watching them make the rolled ice cream. There should be lines out the door for this place.

The banana caramel Reeses was delicious. Fun to watch them make the ice cream right in front of you. Also tried the banana chocolate flavor which was great as well. Many different flavors in one size with fruit or candy toppings.

Ice cream is great, only complaint is I would recommend chopping up the toppings instead of just sticking them on top. Such as the Reese cup and twixs.

OMG! They also make dairy free ice cream! Owners are very nice, its all fresh ingredients. Think Cold Stone and this is the exact same. I never had rolled ice cream before and it was delish! Very creamy, texture was soooo good. I had the coffee ice cream, YUUUUMMMMY!

What experience? We took a trolly with our children and got to the shop at 9p on wed. And to find that the shop was closed! This was our last vaca night and after week long begging.. we took them. Why have 10p hours of its closed up upon arrival?? Ty for nothing from Illinois.
