Came out on short notice when my garage door fell apart. I thought it was ruined, but the Tech (Doug) did a great job putting it back together. Really impressive to watch someone who knows their trade well. There’s a reason this business has been around as long as they have. Thanks guys !

We had a loud sound coming from our twenty year old door when we raised and lowered it. We called, they said they could come out the next day..They called us in the morning to give us a window of time that they would come. They came on time and explained what we needed (and the cost). These guys are the real deal-honest, thorough and efficient! Our door was repaired quickly and when I came out into the garage, he was tightening all the rest of the door bolts, too. We could not recommend them more and I cannot thank them enough for a great job well done!

This is a follow up from my wife’s review of two months ago. As she explained, we had some problems with our garage door and Overhead Doors chose to replace the door even though the door was three months old. Rod and Wilbert arrived this morning, early and ready to work. They removed the old equipment, a nasty job and replaced the door. It looks amazing. Rod and Wilbert were professional, helpful and worked extremely hard. They are both assets to Overhead Door of Sarasota. Bottom line, this company went over and above what they needed to do. We owe all this Al Shank, Diane, Rod, Wilbert and the entire team at Overhead Door. If customer service is what you are looking for, look no further!

We built our home three years ago and had Overhead Door Company of Sarasota install the garage door. Just recently, we noticed that the wood trim had started to bow, one piece actually became detached. We contacted Overhead Door of Sarasota and a technician came out, took the wooden piece back to the shop to analyze what was happening. Al Shank brought the wood back and basically went to war with the manufacturer of our door. This morning he called to say that our door was going to be replaced, FREE of charge, with a brand new door! We were thoroughly impressed with this level of customer service and the fact that Al really advocated for us. I would highly recommend Overhead Door of Sarasota to our friends and family and we are so grateful for the high standards to which they hold themselves. There is always a lot of negativity reported in reviews. Al Shank and his team are the epitome of customer service and are a credit to their trade.

The spring broke on my garage door, couldnt open it, called at 12:00. Noon, and the fit me in that day, he arrived at 3:00, and did a great job, at a fair price. Will use them again.

I’ve been a customer for years and use my two garage doors perhaps more than most, as I run my business out of our home.It seemed a bit much that averaging every two years I had to replace the motherboard. Once under warranty, and then a second time at my expense.When the problem of the motherboard happened for for now the third time, overhead door took ownership of the problem. They replaced my entire 4 year old opener at cost. This company stands behind their promises and exceeded my expectations. Can’t ask for more than that!!!

Horrible Service! I called for an estimate at my business May 1st and they came out, then never called me back once. I waited and waited and then called only to get the run round. They must of been offended because I still got no call back. I guess they dont need the business. Avoid this place! Their are better options

What a nightmare it’s been working with overhead. Salesman came out and was extremely nice so I decided to give them my business. When it came time to install the door only one person came out and scrapped up the door trying to do it himself. The installer was rude and you could tell he didn’t want to be there. I did not buy a scratch and dent door but that is what I received and they are unwilling to work with me.

Fast service great customer service this is the third door they have installed for me every single one of them we’re done fast right and with great customer service. I would recommend them for anybody looking to have a door put in.

Our garage door spring broke so we went to Precision overhead doors, next to Ed Smith stadium. The clerks there knew their products. He measured our spring and then went back and had our new spring made while we waited. Our stress was lifted just a little, he still had to replace the broken one with the new one. It wasnt too had to replace.

I just love these folks. Good people, honest, great product, easy to deal with. I have a funky 1956 flat roof home in Sarasota, with a carport that showed the world all the junk I was using to work on my remodel. No room for my car! It was no doubt freaking out the neighborhood. I accidently found the Overhead Door showroom- and discovered the door with hurricane window panels across the entire door- very mod, sleek. Totally changed the image of the house, added huge value, instantly. Passers-by still stop to ask me where I got that door, they really love it. Recently did something strange to it, it got stuck- had to call in a repair- Al come out immediately to fix, no charge. Wow!

They have the best selection of high end garage doors by far. Their skilled workers were even able to create a custom look to match my house. They have a beautiful show room which allowed me to see all of the options and allowed me to picture how my new doors would look in my house. The salesman was extremely helpful and friendly. He even managed to get me a better price than he originally quoted me. On installation day, the installers reminded me of a stealth ninja team. They had my old doors out and hauled away and my new doors in before I could finish my pot of coffee. The new doors run very quietly and smoothly and make the exterior of my home look like I had a remodeling job. I am so pleased with the results! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to upgrade their home or is in need of repair work. Called the company this morning and the tech arrived this afternoon. Less than 5 minutes into the unit he had the problem identified and fixed. Capacitor. Ray never hesitated and knew exactly what he was doing. I was actually impressed. I hope he trains all the other techs. Did a nice inspection of the door and unit and gave a maintenance check as well.

I had my first experience with Overhead Door 3 weeks ago. They were recommended to me by a realtor who said they have a great reputation compared to other companies in Sarasota. The service man, Ralph, was very knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently to fix the problem. The price was also comparable to others in the industry as well. Will definitely use them again in the future!

We drove into our door and it would not open or shut. It had a huge dent in it. Fortunately Overhead Doors had installed our garage door 10 years ago and left a sticker on the door. We called. They were at our house in 30 minutes. They were kind, fast, and did perfect work for a VERY reasonable price. I thought we would have to replace the door! But they assured me that they could fix it and within the hour, it was done perfectly. Dont even hesitate. Call them FIRST.

15 year old door rusted with holes at the bottom and bracket falling off. Wanted to replace the panel but they dont make this style/model any more. No warranty. Have to replace entire door for $1,700. Why would I trust another Overhead door ? Poor company.

I have to add to the chorus of 5 star reviews - what awesomely nice folks these are. When I called about a problem with my aging garage door this morning, they were able to send someone out today! He understood that I just wanted a bandaid solution for now as I will be buying a new door within a year. Patched it up for a very reasonable price (and hes mailing me the invoice because I wasnt sure if I wanted to pay by check or put it on a card!) He also took the time to talk to me about what a new door would involve and dispelled my fears about being able to afford It when the time comes. Very knowledgeable. Very personable. Just wonderful. I know where Ill be buying my door.

I could not raise my garage door yesterday morning and realized one of the springs was broken. Gave a call to Overhead Door because they have been in Sarasota for decades and I knew I could trust them. They had a technician at the house before noon and quickly repaired the door. I was not present when they finished so they are mailing an invoice. I could not have asked for a more polite, friendly and efficient service. They turned a real problem into a non-event in no time at all.

From the estimator to the office workers and especially including the door installer, this company took the time and put forth the effort to correct a problem created by another company. I can’t thank them enough for such an excellent job.

Garage door wasnt working ...called two companies before calling Overhead...both said needed new springs, rollers, safty cabels etc...all for $300+Overhead said I should try a simple beam adjustmnet with very specific instructions....that worked...so far.If it stops agin...Ill only call Overhead.

I had a real problem where a handyman destroyed my garage door when he was trying to replace the rubber seal because he didnt know what the heck he was doing. On top of it, he tried to act like it was my fault that it dropped from the ceiling with no resistance and crushed itself.If it wasnt for the professionalism and awareness of Al Shank from Overhead Garage Door, I was most likely going to be stuck with the entire cost of replacing it. Al got involved and because of his many, many years of experience, wasnt going to let the unscrupulous people that destroyed the door, try and bamboozle me to get out of replacing it which is exactly what they were trying to do.Today, after six hours of hard work, my new replacement garage door was installed and I thank god I wasn’t stuck paying for it because of Als involvement in the process. I could have used a competitor and maybe saved a dime or two but no one else would have gone over and above to help me like the Overhead Garage Door people did I’ll never use another garage door company in Sarasota unless Al goes to work for someone else. Thanks for being there to get me through this situation with the people that destroyed my old garage door Al.

First I would like to start out with the positive. My garage door was installed and it runs very well.Now - the gentleman who sold our door stated it would take 2 -4 hours, it took 6 hours. They didnt complete the flashing on my garage and left with my garage still showing exposed wood. We had to call over 4 times to have them come back out and fix this issue....taking the time frame to over a month to complete the job. None of this time had anyone called to have the inspector come out to close out the permit.This was finally completed in late July or Early August. This brings us to mid September. THEN Danita - the Administrative Assistant sent me a letter claiming she had tried to reach me for a while and I wouldnt call her back. She had both mine and my husbands cell phones which are in her computer system AND on the service contract I signed. I received this letter and called and left a message for her to return my call with my phone number.She called the next day and I told her I work and cant take any further time off so the inspector would have to come before 9 or after 6 or when my husband goes in late. She tried to schedule, called the next day and simply stated This is impossible I told her that she would need to figure something out to accommodate. To which her reply was I will send this to Code Enforcement.I do not take kindly to threats.I wouldnt recommend this company as their salesmen are unorganized (took 3 times to get the contract right and sent to me), their office staff is uneducated and rude, not to mention severely unaccommodating and unhelpful.After shopping for other pricing - on top of all of this - the door could have been installed by Banko for quite a bit less than I paid.
