Wow. Sarasota does it again!I have food sensitivities that make it impossible to eat out in many cities. Im organic, vegan, gluten-free, and almond free. But Sarasota... Has numerous options for people like me, and my first stop to this location wowed me and my family. We came back a few days later for lunch.The dinner was more expensive than we thought it would be, but totally worth the experience. Marvin was amazing! One of the best waiters weve ever experienced. Definitely coming back when we are in town.

Its so nice to find fresh food with good portions. The team was nice, but not overly friendly. However, I wasnt impressed to hear them discussing somebody in a negative manner , and loudly so I could hear all the way at the front of the restaurant. (Maybe a coworker, maybe a regular customer, who knows....either way customer service has forgotten that the job is a service that is always putting the customers environment at the top of the priority list). Otherwise, the environment was pleasant and comfortable. Look forward to trying something new next time because there is a great selection and variety for all diets

This cozy brunch cafe on Main Street is known for it healthy fresh menu. The vibe is fun and modern. The Veggie Omelet I had was by far the tastiest ever‼️ Huge chunks of veggies and the Italian toast yummy. My husband loved his Mainstreet Benedict and the fresh squeezed Margarita. Large portions and reasonably priced. Alex our server was very very nice. Good social distancing and Covid precautions.

The raw pancake is so tasty. The sauce on too really brings everything together. The pancake itself is a healthy take on a pancake and isnt at all like a regular pancake. I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Filling for the size. I also loved the vegan french toast. I still cant mAke it like these guys do. My only complaint is that the place is always so busy and the clientele is pretty upity.. other than that service is good and the food is great.

Great place to go for a healthy bite. Lots of gluten free and vegan options; I am gluten free and was able to have a side of toast so that was awesome! Their food is great and tasty but the service is terrible. The host wasn’t very friendly, didn’t seat us or bring menus then he disappeared so we sat our selves and I grabbed menus for our table. Then it took forever just to see a server and get waters. You also don’t have the same server, every time we come here we have a couple different people helping us. Deff a better place to get take out or delivery.

The raw pancakes here are delicious. Definitely famous & worth the trip.They also have another location in St. Armands Circle that has very good service. We have been dozens of times and enjoy the young man Joey who always has a smiling face, kind words & usually a joke to tell.Today was our first time at the Sarasota downtown location.Today the wait time was abysmal.Absolutely outrageous to wait 40 minutes for raw pancakes.The waiter today at this location in downtown Sarasota was horrible.The manager, however, was very considerate and apologized for the inconvenience and gave us green juice.Anyone can have an off day.We will be back since the food is definitely delicious!

One of my favorite places for brunch. Green Zebra has so many tasty vegan dishes as well as smoothies and juices.

Nice location with plenty of outdoor seating with Friendly staff. We placed a to-go order for Sweet Potatoes Avocado Toast and smoothies. We were taking a chance with the Sweet Potato Toast and it wasn’t as good as we hoped. The smoothies were “alright”.

Marvin made the experience! What an amazing server! Menu items are tasty! Portion sizes are smaller for the price. I got our famous raw pancake which looked and had the size of a piece of bread. Brazilian Acai Bowl was more like a float. Also, if you have a bright top beware! I had chalk all over the back of my shirt after having lunch - looks like from the back of the chairs near the chalk wall.Great service, great ingredients, great experience. Music variety can be a bit odd.

Really enjoyed our stop at the Green Zebra Cafe! The service was super nice and quick, and the menu had a large variety, with symbols for all major dietary restrictions. We went for the vegan options & we were not disappointed. It was a bit pricey but we left full & happy 😌 We will visit again next time were in Sarasota.

Delicious! I had the portabella goat cheese wrap (yuuuum!) and an acai bowl. It was busy so service wasnt quick but still loved the vibe and interiors. Food is worth it! Cant wait to come back.

If you truly like acaí bowls .. this isnt the place to get one. The base that they use is obviously frozen because you crunch on ice as your eating it. Never had that happen before…. Overall very flavorless. I’m sure the other stuff on the menu is great, and its a super cute place. Better off going to a place that only does bowls though if this is what you’re craving

Cute little spot. Stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. Ordered Iced coffee and double espresso to start which came fast and were delicious. For breakfast we ordered the mushroom goat cheese wrap and banana pancake with eggs and bacon. Everything got to our table quick and perfectly done. Will definitely come back.

I LOVE the Green Zebra and have been eating at the one on St Armands for years. However the downtown location needs to work out its efficiency issues. Today was the second time in a row over the last few months where it took around 30 minutes for 1 beverage of a 2 beverage order was delivered. Another 30 minutes later my drink still never came. So we closed our tab and left. The nice young guy working the bar apologized profusely and comped our beverage and pudding. My first time in this location was pretty much the same. What stinks is theyve got a well oiled machine out at St Armands. I understand there may be some layout issued that make things different from one location to the other, but Ive spoken to a few others who share the same experience of downtown.

I loved the atmosphere and the kind staff. 😌 I also like the small details to sustainability Green Zebra Cafe incorporates and the accessible restrooms.The downside is the food barely has vegan options and the high prices for small portions. I left hungry but I do not regret going here. It was a nice experience.

Good food but I’m 3 for 3 with rude staff. Definitely better for takeout but that’s also if they don’t close early. I’ve called to place take out orders several times and they close 2-3 hours early…

Great taste and so many vegan food options! Great place to have a brunch or a coffee break with friends. I tried the raw protein pancake and it was amazing! Because of the covid19 they have only 1 waitress usually so it kinda slows the process but its not their fault. So go take a look ! :)

Friendly servers, colorful atmosphere, many vegan choices, some GF choices, all servers wore masks, cleaned the tables after each customer, food was fresh & at desired temperature!

Ordered a oat milk latte and it was delicious!!! The only problem here and reason for three stars is the straws!! The cardboard straws got to go Zebra Cafe!! They leave a horrible cardboard taste in the coffee and your mouth as you drink it!! I get the reason for them but maybe seek a new supplier? Really bad! Good luck 👍

Im in love with this place! And with both locations. Im vegan but this place is great for everyone if you are vegan or not. The downtown location had a beautiful new and bigger space which can fit more people. And they updated their menu. Today I tried a. A vegan version of eggs benedict and its great. But my favorite is still the RAW VEGAN BANANA PANCAKES!!!!

There was an issue with the table when we arrived for our brunch reservation, but Tate was quick to fix it and provided excellent service. He was attentive and had a great sense of humor. The food was also very good and there were a variety of choices from healthy to indulgent, but it was Tate’s service that made the experience for us.

Exceptional food for vegans and non-vegans. Very friendly staff and pet friendly.

There are so many delicious and healthy options on the menu at The Green Zebra Cafe. They even offer cold pressed juice that is made in house. I could drink their juices everyday and I just might. Their food is locally sourced and everything is fresh and delicious and beautifully presented. The raw pancake is my favorite treat on the planet! The staff is just as nice and sweet as they can be and they try so hard to make everyone happy. I just love this place. My only wish would be that the employees do a much better job of keeping their masks on. I often see them inside with their masks down or off. This is a matter of public health and they should do their best to be masked at all times. This is why we slide our masks on when they approach our table, even when we dine outside. We want to be sure we take care of them too. We sure do appreciate the effort and we will continue to support them because they are fabulous!

Loud screaming kids upstairs every time - why does management allow this? It makes for a terrible experience. When food comes out as ordered, it’s nice enough to eat outside (to avoid the screaming kids running around) and you get lucky enough to have Marvin as a waiter— it’s 5 stars. Something needs to be done with the inside environment. Love the sustainability measures so I changed my rating from a 2 to 3.

My daughter and I came to this restaurant in high hopes of having a great lunch. However, we were overlooked several times and didnt receive service until we complained. Two separate guests that entered after us received water before we were even spoken to. There were excuses why we were overlooked but none were legit. We asked if we could have a separate waiter other than the one that overlooked us. A young lady from the cash register came over and said she would serve us . However, she was very snappy and wasnt accommodating. Everything in me told me to leave but my daughter insisted we get the food to go. While waiting on our to go food a young man came over to apologize and was sorry that we had to endure what we did. We are thankful for his apology, however it cant take away the hurt of being ignored for no reason.

Breakfast proved to be exciting. Their protein packed tofu scramble was nutritiously sound. I asked for avocado & additional cheeze. Plenty of vegan selections.The dinner entree I ordered on a separate occasion failed culinary execution. It was a carrot chimichurri dish with minimal portions of sauce and an uneven manifestation of carrots & beluga lentils. I would still return again as their menu still remains promising. Their lavender latte is a treat best enjoyed to go waltzing down Main Street.

I started stopping by about a month ago and have been here 4 times now. This place is amazing. Today I found out they have an upstairs seating area for people to work on laptops etc. This is my new spot for sure!

First visit. Nice wait staff. Delicious juice and portobello sandwich. Sat outside, but inside seating is also open.

I went into this cafe with high hopes, and I was disappointed. The staff was detached from the interaction and put their mask down right in front of me. This all was negligible to me at the time, expecting two well-made iced lattes. I explicitly ordered 2 iced lattes which cost $14 in total, but my friend pointed out questionable practices in the making of the coffees. They did not use an espresso machine nor did they even use espresso; instead, they poured half a cup of what seemed like regular brewed coffee with the rest being milk. We would not have minded getting a regular iced coffee if we had been told what we were getting and had not been charged $14. Regardless of the circumstances, paying $14 for two iced coffees is absurd, and even for two iced lattes. It is not like the average customer may have noticed that they were getting a regular iced coffee instead of a latte.Also, I believe it is important to note that the place was not busy at all.Overall, I have nothing against the other aspects of the cafe, but as for coffee: this place is not worth your money.

Very rude to-go cashier, made a remark that literally ruined my whole experience there. Juices/ golden latte were average.

We chose Green zebra cafe as our first restaurant to eat at once we got to town and unfortunately we were very disappointed. The customer service was poor from start to finish, we waited for approximately 30 minutes to get our cold salads although the place was practically empty. Then he passed us by at least 5 times when we were trying to give him our payment. The water tasted like Saline solution. Not to mention the salads cost $16 each at the lowest and it was not worth that in my opinion. We also watched a family sit down to be serviced and eventually got up and left, i assume due to the prices on the menu and lack of good service. All in all, it was a rather disappointing experience.

Best breakfast in town. Good coffee also. My breakfast wrap was filling and well seasoned, kids gave excellent marks to the pancakes, hubby is still talking about their French toast. We were very satisfied and cant wait to go back soon. Big shout out to Alex who was very attentive and well informed about the gluten free menu. He made our brunch experience unforgettable.

Was only person to be seated upon arrival. Requested a specific seat inside the restaurant (group dining was about to leave)Waited outside for aforementioned table. 2 parties arrive and the requested table was cleaned and given to one of those groups, without any host/server confirming who was waiting first outside. I was completely ignored, 3 groups seated before me, although both servers saw me waiting, one of which I spoke to. Complete lack of organization at the host stand. If multiple servers are seating diners, perhaps a waitlist would be practical. This lack of organization/service doesn’t seem to stop there, a diner had to ask the same server 3 times for a takeaway box, she left looking visibly annoyed.Was really looking forward to dining here, so disappointed with the lack of service that I decided to dine elsewhere and will never

We were the only guests during prime dinner time on a Sunday night. That made us nervous and we considered leaving before ordering. Seems like they have great food values and menu but have a poorly ran business hence being dead on a Sunday evening. They were out of some ingredients to make a few appetizers which was disappointing right off the bat. The fish was tasty. The cheese board was delicious and unique. Rainbow salad was good but nothing stood out about it. Desserts were top notch. The raw lasagna was not what I anticipated or expected. I have had raw lasagna cold before other places and it was delicious. This was tomatoes and zuchinni held together with toothpicks and a little bit of sauces. Flavor was overwhelmed with the tomatoes. Would not order again. Service was average. No major delays or problems. Atmosphere was sub par. Weight staff was conversing with what appeared to be a friend at the bar discussing dating relationships and dating apps while my family could hear the entire conversation. Then a drunk guy came in to get another beer and they gave it to him and he sat at the bar and conversed with the friend/ patron and they cursed repeatedly loud enough for my family to hear. Random people came in and out as well but didn’t sit down to eat which was weird to me. Probably won’t come back unless it is to try the breakfast or get dessert. I’m not sure how they stay in business with only one family in for an entire hour on a Sunday night.

Let me start off my saying the food is amazing. The staff is the most friendly staff I have ever encountered in any restaurant in Florida and I stand by that. Amazing crew, super polite and they really seem like a family. Great experience I ate here 3 days in a row each day was better and better. Can’t wait to visit soon!

I am pretty easy to please but when I waited an hour for a taco salad itd better be more than 90% lettuce... and its not.

While the ingredients seemed fresh flavor was completely absent. Vegans have such a hard time finding convenient food especially breakfast. Don’t attract us in, charge Top dollar and then make us wait forever for that. (40 minute wait for wraps that required no “cooking”)2 ingredients you should introduce to your menu ASAP Nutritional yeast & kala namak (black salt) Please!

Marvin and his mom made me and my best friend feel right at home.They both were so attentive,caring, and informative. The drinks and food were AMAZING. I would highly recommend to check this place out !! :)

While visiting FL, our family treated us to lunch at Green Zebra. I ended up hurting my leg pretty badly on a metal pipe coming up from the ground that normally gets covered by a chair (I was told). Our server was so kind and ran to grab medical supplies as soon as he saw. He cleaned my wound, dressed and bandaged it for me. I felt his genuine kindness and empathy for my cut, it was very sweet. I was so excited to see the menu full of fresh food, what a nice break from junky convenience foods we had been having the majority of our visit! I had the veggie wrap which was lovely, my kids loved their smoothies and wraps and we had such excellent service! We want to visit once more before we leave town, thank you Green Zebra for taking such good care of us. Because of my cut, we were given a discount on our bill and the server even made a phone call to get the pipe removed. It felt like every person working for this company liked people and enjoyed their job, two traits that seem rare to come by recently.

Very payed back friendly atmosphere and awesome food and drinks . I heard their shakes are the bomb. But the cute mix drinks are Delish 😋

The food is OK and the setting is nice. I would have given it a better review except for the wait staff refusing to wear masks properly. Almost all dont cover their nose and often remove the mask. When I asked my waiter to put the mask on properly, she became angry and said she had to breath.I prefer an attitude that cares about the health of customers.

If you are vegen you will enjoy the menu. The variety juices are awesome. Has inside or outside seating, services is very nice and place is clean.

Although they are not close, as I live in St Petersburg, I have brought my two boys there twice. Even they enjoy the food. The service is extraordinary and the food is amazing.

Only 1 server had their mask above their nose. In addition to that, there was no glass separating the bar and where they make the food meaning people sitting at the bar could easily spit into the food. The tables were also close together and tight. Mask compliance was horrible and I felt very unsafe. If you care about COVID this is not the place for you. I will say that I had the fingerling potatoes and those were very delicious. The açaí wasn’t really that great though.

Two of my favorite meals - chicken pesto sandwich GF and raw pancakes are to die for. Love the healthy, delicious options here!

Excellent service. I got the tofu scramble and it is delicious! My fiance loves the tropical acai bowl, she gets it every time. We also just tried a fresh juice for the first time and it was great. I think it was called pure gold its heavy on the pineapple but I love pineapple so i think its awesome. Definitely try this place if you are in the Sarasota area. In a great location too.

This is an awesome place!! We just stopped in for a drink and Marvin was a super gracious host and we enjoyed watching him make our drinks and teach us how its done!! Make sure you stop by and come see him if you are in the downtown Sarasota area!!

Surprisingly it was really good. I wasnt down on going here but the wife and friend were wanting to try this place. I am glad they did because it wasnt disappointing.

Oh wow! My kids and I came to this place for breakfast. It was so good that we came back for dinner and brought my wife. The service is incredible, the food is AMAZING and the whole staff is so friendly. A complete meno with something for everyone. Lots of vegan options that are really great! Most certainly will be back many times!

I wish they didn’t let people sit at their outside tables and chain smoke cigarettes. It seems like a healthy restaurant, but that ruined it for me. We had to take our food to go and we were on bikes... we paid $40 for a smoothie, pancakes, and chia pudding. We were on our bikes and planned on enjoying breakfast out front. They had a table out there smoking the whole time and I couldn’t handle it.

The dude working was great... Raw waffle was tasty but 1 piece for $11 and tofu scramble was bland and for $14 wasnt enough to fill us up... Left hungry and broke, this is why people arent going vegan in Florida, meat is cheap and filling... Overall solid place, but they need to visit PDX, Austin or other hippie places and take some pointers. Dont penalize people for loving animals.

Food is mediocre, wait is absurd was waiting for burrito for 45min and gave up after that.. for 3 days in a row they did not have some stuff on the menu making up new excuses everyday ... disappointing...

We must have caught them on an off day because our food was awful. All of my pancakes were burnt. My husband’s sweet potatoes were burnt. I ordered a tiramisu pancake and was surprised to see the same blueberry sauce on it as the strawberry shortcake pancake I ordered. There was also a brown scoop of something on top of the pancake so I took a bite and to my surprise it was a sour almost rotten tasting oily spread. I asked the waitress what it was and she said she thought it was the cocoa espresso syrup...I’m really confused because the pictures and reviews are great, but that meal was terrible. I hope we just caught them on a busy day because I cannot recommend them.

Great people and Greattt Food..... when they have it! On more than 5 occasions, I have shown up to start my day with something for breakfast and they are out...! I usually go out of the way to get the Raw Pancake so when I call one location and they say they don’t have them but they promise the other location will and I show up and they say sorry we are out, it puts a damper on the start of a day, because it is so out of the way. Love when they have what I want because it is amazing but it has been too many times for it not to be available. This is not the only item it has happened with as well.
