My 2008 seadoo 230 wake boat seats have seen better days. I spent months trying to find someone to redo my seats the way id like them with no call backs or communication what so ever.Insert Kym and the boat guys.... Immediate quotes and communication was flawless with constant updates as to progress. free pickup and delivery of cushions as well! the prices were solid and the work was excellent. I will be getting the rest of my seats done with no questions in the near future.

Boat Guys of Sarasota are amazing. I dont know how they do it, but every time we call, they are on it and show up super quick. They are super responsive and do an awesome job. The tech was super cool the one time I was able to be there in person while he was working on it. They have a great relationship with our marina and coordinate with them to get the boat in the water when necessary for repairs and testing. They have really nice huge work vans with the ability to fix stuff right then and there. We have used them several times. They performed regular maintenance, changed dead batteries, fixed our joystick, and fixed issues with one of our engines. We have also had a great experience with how cautious they are about keeping repair costs down. If you need maintenance or repairs for your boat, I recommend Boat Guys of Sarasota!!!!!!

Cant rave enough over the incredible service provided. Not only do they show up on time and promptly do the work specified, they go the extra mile and back up their work by coming by after hours.including a Friday night and a Saturday morning after a voicemail left at 9pm on a Friday night. First class outfit.Quick update elaborating on great customer service - Sent an email at 5:35pm on last night (Saturday evening) with an issue and only sent hoping it would be the first one they saw on Monday morning. Received an immediate response and by 6:48pm problem was solved entirely by email. If only all boat issues could be handled so easily and quickly.

I just called to see if they could come out a take a look at my 2 boats and without even seeing the boats he wanted to do complete tune ups for $600 each... so $1200 bucks to start not having a clue whats wrong....I told him it was all done recently. Then he told me to call someone else. DOES ANYONE DO THE RIGHT THING ANYMORE?? So if you car wont start you should probably change the starter, battery, ignition, and starter solenoid...hmmmm what a joke! I wouldnt trust them if I were you...

These guys are absolutely awesome! I cant say enough about Josh and Glenn. Ive used them a lot over the last year, and they have truly gone above and beyond for me on several occasions. When my boat lift broke and I couldnt find any place to keep my boat, they even helped me out by storing my boat for me for a couple of extra days while it was getting some maintenance. When I needed an urgent repair because I was selling my boat, they came out the next day even though they were slammed with holiday demand. The fact that they will come and pick up the boat and drop it back off is an incredible service and immensely helpful for working people that cant carve out 1/2 a day to drop it off. They may not be the cheapest option, but they are worth every damn penny. I was hesitant to write a review, as I dont want them to get even more popular and have to grow to the point that they have a hard time maintaining this level of service ;)

They had my boat for over 4 weeks and could not get it running replaced the crank sensor but it didnt fix it. Was told the ECU was bad and it would need to be replaced with a new $1800 ECU. No guarantee by the owner that this would actually fix the issue. I decided this was not the shop for me paid them almost $600 for a bad ECU diagnosis and got my boat out of there. Boat now runs like it should with the same ECU.Disappointed shop was recommended by a family friend.

I had new canvas put on my Sea Ray 340. The quality and workmanship was excellent and was reasonably priced. I would definitely have them do more work in the future. The glass is far thicker than Great Lakes.

Im 19 and I just got a jetski and didnt know where to go for regular maintence. I have now used Boat Guys 3 times and every time I have gotten perfect quality service at a decent price and always within a pretty quick turn around time. I have talked with Josh many times and he has always been very kind and his staff as well has always been kind and helpful. I found The Boat Guys by googling outboard engine repair in Sarasota. Originally I was going to have them come to the house, but he said if I could bring it to them, they could get to it much sooner. I brought it in on a Thursday AM, and they called me that same afternoon to say it was completed. Very professional and to add how expedient their excellent service was. We are extremely satisfied with their work.

New Outboards Installation. If you ever repower your boat, do yourselves a favor and just use these guys. I did the annoying task of calling around and getting estimates that were a $20K spread from company to company - for the same engines! These guys were right in the middle, sourced my engines the SAME DAY, whereas the others were telling me they’re 4 - 6 weeks out! They’re the new V8 verado’s. I’ve used Boat Guys for smaller things and they’ve always exceeded my expectations. I’ve always used the dealership for everything because that’s where I bought my Sea Rays and these guys opened my eyes to what quality service truly is - and it’s not at the dealership. Repower took less than a week and they fit me into an already full schedule. Further, they placed my old engines on carpeted pallets and loaded them onto the trailer of the guy who bought them. Total class act from start to finish - looking forward to a great relationship from here forward.

Prompt and professional. I scheduled my work online through their website and I was put on their schedule the same week. Technician was knowledgeable and friendly and best of all the work was completed at my dock behind the house. This was my first time using this company and they will definitely be my go to for any future work or repairs.

Definitely seems like they tried to take me for a roughly $4000 ride. Asked them to service my engine and rebuild my carburetor last year so they did a compression test to make sure the repairs made sense. Got some pics that three of the four cylinders were very low and that though they wouldnt do the repairs requested, they could rebuild the engine and carburetor for around $3800.I went through the hassle of getting my boat from Hidden Harbor Marina to my old mechanic, and when he tested the compression while I was there with him all cylinders came back near perfectly (like they did the two other tests Ive had done over the four years Ive owned the boat). So, best case is that they botched a simple compression test with either a faulty gauge and/or user error, or worse case is that they mistook me for someone that had no idea how engines work and tried to get me to rebuild my engine to hose me out of ~$4K. Since they specialize in mobile marina work, the latter case seems more likely to me. I was hoping to find a reliable mobile mechanic that worked in my marina, so this experience was really disappointing (and eye opening).

Total Pros. You get what you pay for. They did a service, I then called for a similare problem and the volunteered, they may not have been able to completely get what they needed to cleared out of the lines. They could have easily just charged but was honest and completed the job I originally paid for without me having to suspect or even ask. This is a tough industry to trust people in but so far, I am very pleased and I do trust them. Total pros.

Maintaining a boat can be an expensive, long process, especially if you dont find someone honest and communicative to work with. Since the beginning, these guys have gone out of their way to make sure I was satisfied and have ALWAYS responded to my texts and calls quickly; something that cant be said for a lot of other marine mechanics unfortunately. I have had my 2007 24 ft Sea Ray Sundeck inboard/outboard in Sarasota for 4 years. In that time I have been so frustrated trying to find a reliable firm to help maintain the boat. There are not many mobile mechanics in Sarasota who want to work on inboard/outboard engines. Fortunately, this year I was referred to the Boat Guys from the marina where I keep the boat.I had a problem with the boat that set off an alarm but I was unable to identify the problem. Josh Bridges, the contact with the firm, was really helpful by communicating with me what they were doing and the systematic process they used to identify the problem. They finally identified it and fixed it. They also used the time to replace the manifold, which needed to get done, and their price for that was very reasonable.I really believe I have finally found an excellent boat repair and maintenance firm with Boat Guys and would highly recommend them. I now have confidence that when we take our boat out for a long cruise, I don’t have to worry about it breaking down.

Weekend emergency service was needed and they went above and beyond to handle a serious electrical issue. I will be a longtime customer. The technician was knowledgeable and experienced. The problem was resolved within an hour. One happy customer !!!

The Boat Guys are hands down the best marine experts in the industry for all your needs from mechanics, to fiberglass repair, canvas repair, custom work, etc. Where I see most disappointment coming from a customer, it’s usually over poor communication between the mechanic and the customer, I find it to be a very common issue. Not here!! Josh will ensure he stays in contact with you almost daily until the job is complete and you have a smile on your face. They also have excellent maintenance programs to check out to keep your vessel in the best of shape! They do it all here. You won’t go wrong with choosing the Boat Guys, that’s a fact.

I’m is Siesta with 9 girlfriends. We had a boat trip planned out and we had an issue with the starter. Boat Guys headed over immediately and took care of the part and installation. I highly recommend if you are in need of a quick repair.

These are THE guys to call if theres a serious engine problem. I went to more than one, and I gotta tell you, theres some unscrupulous, lazy conmen in the boat game. These guys are legit. Took a week, I watched (the boat is below my condo), them going back and forth on this until they solved it, and I gotta say, if I took it to marine max and I can only imagine what they wouldve charge me.

The Boat Guys did what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. I called 2 mechanics prior to calling The Boat Guys. Both mechanics came to my boat, spend 2+ hours diagnosing it, and then disappear. Melody is amazing, she kept me up to date on everything from scheduling the boat’s diagnostic to picking it up to drop off. They came and picked up my boat, 3 days later they dropped it off (ahead of schedule). They replaced the elbows and risers, starter, trim tabs, and did the annual service on it in 3 days. I have a Mercruiser inboard and Bravo III outdrive, working on this boat is not easy. You can’t discount how important someone’s word is and when they said they would do something, they did. If I would have called them from the start, I wouldn’t have wasted 2 months of the summer on other peoples boats.

The Boat Guys have done both minor and major work on three of my boats ranging from a Noverania with a 50hp Honda to a 74’ Hatteras with Detroit Diesels. They mounted 350 Mercs as a re-power to a 290DC World Cat and completely refurbished the boat from bow to stern ....a truly amazing and quality work or perfection. These people know their business and are true professionals. Quality work, fair price and done right the first time.

Let me tell you why I love these guys- Ive worked with MarineMax and a dozen other boat companies. I finally found that VIP service I was looking for that handles everything from fixing my generator, stitching my seats and repowering engines. EVERYTHING. They are the first boat company that I dont cringe every time I see their invoice. Always 30% lower than marineMax.

So I took a shot and googled for canvas help. The boat guys come up. I have been trying to find someone to do some canvas work for 3 months now. Not only did they sound professional, they showed up the SAME day, brough another person to see my boat to be sure I knew of the other services they provided (I did ask for this I should say) and they were very easy to talk to, not pushy, very fair priced and the best part....they said they will be by Wed and they were! The work was a good as any I have seen. They made my 36 Carver look like a new boat form 2004. Outstanding. They offered advice when I asked and never pushy and clearly dedicated to clients. They are a breath of fresh air. They know what they are doing and why do I say that, because they guarantee thier work and available ANYTIME I should ever need them 7 days a week for clients. We had a total melt down with our Ray Marine Chart plotters. Jeff and Zac were on it the next day and replaced the entire system with Garmin 8600 .We were under way on Saturday morning
