I highly recommend this shop if you have a Mercedes that needs maintenance or diagnostic/repair work done. They are way more experienced, easier to work with, and cost way less than the actual Mercedes dealership. Ive learned this from personal experience. What more could you ask for? They own all the equipment, computers, and tools necessary to work on any Mercedes model and complete any job. And Mercedes-Benz will not let just any old mechanic own their computers and equipment, they are highly regulated. That should tell you everything you need to know. I work for a larger car dealership in the area, and we have decided to make S&S our go-to shop for diagnostic and repair needs when we have Mercedes on our lot.

Super neat and clean with friendly people. Took Merkel (our Mercedes Benz powered Sprinter) here for a full chassis service. After driving miles after the service brought it home and parked it on concrete. Not a single drop the next morning. Excellent.

My husband had his E class Mercedes worked on here. They are great. His father and his family all owned Mercedes and they all used S and S. They did a fabulous job on pur car and they were so kind to keep us updated and in the know. They are wonderful.

I have taken my 2005 E320 to S&S several times over the past few years. From my first visit to my most recent Rob, Sal, and Sam provided excellent customer service and the job is always done right. Being new in Sarasota our CLK 320 came due for a schedule B service...and we lost a tire the same day. After checking around for replacement tires, we received a suggestion that we check S & S. We talked to Sam and Cory, got the tires (saved money) were able to schedule mounting the same day as our service B work was completed (saved money) and were treated as if we were long time customers. EXCELLENT.

Was in Sarasota on business and the check engine light came on. Saw the mixed reviews online but I went there anyway. I stood for 20 minutes, time I did not really have to waste, while the guys were fawning over someones new 2-door Metcedes. Not working on it, mind you, but giving the full wax job if you will while I stood there. Guess I was sized up as an unimportant little being by virtue of my older c-class. No idea about their work quality, because the heavy dose of Hollywood attitude precluded me from finding out.

Took in my CLS 63 AMG - rear differential bad and required replacement. Everything went as planned, from scheduling & quoting with Rob, to Sam & company professionally making the repair. It was a dedicated team effort by all. This is a well run, organized, and clean shop! These guys even went the extra mile to inspect and repair a separate problem I had forgotten about but that Sam had noticed while doing a final test drive. Needless to say, I was very impressed and will return. Oh, and thanks for the pizza guys!

Great service, same knowledge as the Dealer mechanics but not the same Dealer prices!

Go elsewhere. When I went in for an alignment, they found axle issues. I elected to go with the cheaper of the 2 options they gave me, which was reconditioning my axles rather than replacing.I later found that axles are not meant to be taken apart by the layman mechanic; what had previously been a drivable car with only a mild intermittent tap at sharp turns of the wheel was now rendered essentially undriveable by them.They *THEN* advised pro rebuilds, and I asked for my $188 boot kit back, but no: they need to be returned with the cores for credit. Oh...? I called an axle rebuilder on the spot & they told me no--all old rubber goes in the garbage pre-rebuild. S&S wouldnt budge.Thats stealing in my book.Rather than apologizing for their ill-advised attempt, they accused me of twisting their arm into doing this repair that THEY suggested in the first place.*UPDATE*Reading the reply, Im entertained that youve used your discretion to determine that I didnt have the money to put brand new axles in my car. Tell me--is this bit of snark an example of the unwavering dedication to customer service and the tireless commitment to you, the client (cue the melancholy violin) that youre desperately trying to establish here in damage control mode? I didnt go for the new axles because its foolish to invest $3K into axles for a high-mile, 14-year-old second car thats scarcely even worth $3K to begin with. Thats the reason.To say that the car merely still made a noise after your unsuccessful repair attempt is disingenuous and you know it. I drove the car to you for an alignment with a mild, intermittent tapping at sharp turns that the average person wouldnt have even noticed, and you returned it to me with loud pops and clunks that made it feel like I was driving over 2x4 boards when maneuvering out of your parking lot. So your stance is that you offered me a still-expensive alternative that you warned would not work and tried to dissuade me from accepting, but yet I forced you into into taking my $$$ to attempt it nonetheless? Weak sauce, men; weak sauce.Your claim that the CC company agreed you handled the situation properly--and I should mention that this was my first attempt at a chargeback in 20+ years as a cardholder because the customer service was so shockingly egregious at S&S--is not entirely correct. The rep for the case told me on the phone that the situation seemed so convoluted that they ultimately made their decision solely based on the fact that I ultimately accepted the work at the end of this whole pell-mell, and that Id have to consider legal counsel to pursue it further. No mention about your customer service-or lack thereof-at all.I cannot stress this enough: when I asked Sam why he didnt offer the option for professionally-rebuilt Mercedes axles in the first place, he told me that he didnt know they were available. The office guy named Rob claimed it took him hours to locate the axles on the computer. I typed rebuilt Mercedes axles into my phone from the S&S parking lot and found a company in CO that specializes in rebuilt MB axles for my car at $150 each. Total time to locate:

Glove box broken and without an appointment Sam fixed the problem very quickly. Just moved to Sarasota - S and S Mercedes will now be my go to repair garage. Thanks Sam :-)

They do some incredible work here

After receiving an estimate from the local Mercedes dealer for major engine repairs....I went to S & S..for a second opinion. Sal and Sam diagnosed the problem....saved me thousands of dollars...and now, 15,000 miles later, my 560 S.E.C. is running like a swiss watch. If you trust your Mercedes to any other shop.....you are making BIG mistake.
