Sarasota Architectural Salvage is one of my favorite salvage stores to go. They have a lot of salvage items, but they also have antiques and new items. They have a lot of salvage from the Sarasota area, but they also bring items in from around the state, out of state, and from other countries. They have items that you can use as is, or plenty of things to create youe own masterpiece. It is rare that I leave empty handed whenever I visit. It is close to downtown Sarasota. So, you can easily make an entire day of cisiting the area if you dont live close. This is what I typically do since I dont live in the area. I dont always visit the other places, but I always visit SAS when I am in the area.

I went to a resin class and created a wood piece. Couldnt decide what to do with it so I chose to used it as a stand for one of my blown glass pieces. The class was awesome. The only thing I would recommend is putting the artist in the middle so everyone could see and thanks for the bug spray. John and Tanya were great. I do have a question. The next day I had little divets in the resin, why? Being a newbie I have no idea and I know in class people were getting bubbles. I did not hear what it was from can you please post answer for others to see. Thanks!

A great place to take decorating and designing to the next level, whether a home, business, or landscape. A large selection of previously used doors, windows, chandeliers...many chandeliers, wall sconces, and a multitude of small and large decor items. The store takes pride in re-purposing construction materials, much it from local buildings and businesses. Constantly changing inventory and not afraid to stock the obscure. Nothing quite like it elsewhere. More than 10k square foot of fun.

Holy Cow Batman, this place has everything you could ever want when it comes to Architectural salvage. The staff are pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable, the selection is extraordinary. If your looking for Antiques, Knick-knacks, Chandeliers, Clawfoot tubs, Signage, Furniture or want them to Custom Design furniture for you from repurposed materials, then this is the place bare-bones. If this review is helpful, please give it a thumbs up. #letsguide

It’s cute and artsy but many of the items are over priced in my opinion. But it’s nice to go in and gander around, you may find that one of a kind piece you’ve been looking for! It’s well organized and prices are clear to read. I wish they had a “junky” section where you could just dig around for a hidden treasure for a lower price.

My husband and I visited this architectural salvage location while on vacation. We are from Michigan and we could not believe the the array of fantastically priced pieces this shop had to offer! Seriously BLOWN AWAY. I was taken aback by just how many items they had that had not been victim to the overpainting and “refurbishing” we see so much in Michigan. The pieces they had from the 20s, 50s, 70s, etc. still held their character from that era. Plus they had some awesome oddities that you dont see at normal antique, vintage, or salvage shops. The team there was also incredibly welcoming, friendly, and ready to help you pick items and find a way to get them shipped back to you!

Seriously can’t even say how disappointed I am in my experience of getting custom shelves made from this store!👎👎What started out as a great experience of picking out our own piece of wood to have floating shelves made for our kitchen (that was recently gutted & renovated) turned into a nightmare of delays and excuses. Ultimately our entire kitchen was renovated before SIX shelves could be made- which is absolutely ridiculous.I told the store(when I ordered and paid 50%)that I had a hard date of wanting them done (as I was having a kitchen reveal party) and (for whatever reasons-there were not really any understandable excuses offered)they did not get them done on the day I had (well in advance) told them I wanted them completed. While Denmy & Taylor were nice to work with- and both offered apologies-the bottom line is it was an extremely unsatisfying experience. Two thumbs way down👎👎

A lot of nice antiques but EXTREMELY overpriced. I have an extensive collection of all kinds of antiques. My husband and I travel the country in our RV with the sole purpose of visiting as many antique stores/salvage yards as possible; we definitely have an idea of what these things cost. We were eager to shop but left empty handed. Overpriced beyond compare. 😔

If you like salvage and upscale upcycling, this is the place for you. Furnishings, doors, windows, tile, lighting, hardware, signage, yard ornaments — just a huge assortment, and a ton of ideas if you prefer to do it yourself. Personally, the artists do a better job than I ever could, and their goods are well worth the cost. I love the decorative concrete blocks for container gardening. Absolutely worth a visit. Buy local! It benefits everyone.

My favorite place to search for the rare and unusual..I could spend hours in there. If you are remodeling or just love digging around for rare finds..maybe you just love creating something unique out of recycled parts this is the place to go. It has everything from door knobs to cathedral windows to doors from old houses..ornate trim..everything. There is a huge building full and 2 salvage yards outside full of wrought iron..fountains..letters..just a bit of everything a person could think to look for. Even if you are not into remodel or creating new from the old its worth the time to go in and check out all the inventory from every architectural background.

Fun. Funky. Functional. Who purchases the items found at Sarasota Architectural Salvage? The answer is everyday consumers looking to furnish their homes or office with authentic period pieces and flippers and contractors wanting to lessen their carbon footprints on the planet. But it doesn’t stop there. Businesses looking to set an example on recycling will often come to Sarasota Architectural Salvage for a variety of items, from upcycles desks that used to be doors, to barn hooks that now serve as a custom coatrack.
