I had the best experience at this location. Both women in the office were very knowledgeable, and made sure to answer all of my questions.

This is my second time renting here. The first time was a few years back. This time I just needed a space for some furniture and stuff. I got a 10x15. The hours are great so I have access to go get something at 9:30 pm If I need to. You have to be out by 10pm. The doors are easy to open and easy to lock. The staff is very helpful and friendly

Beautifully clean, and great views of the surrounding chaparral hills. I thought the cat in the window was very cute

It was a seamless process and having the no contact no pressure aspect was something I valued. The cost was more than I wanted to pay. But the manger was amazingly kind. Kindness matter people! And throughly explained everything.I dont really like the driving lanes seemed smaller to me no room to turn around so lots of reverse driving but thats minimum compared to the overall experience.

This was not what I expected. In general they are very misleading and unprofessional. The units are poor quality and are not worth what they charge. They also have a lot of rules, some in which they let you know about after your stuff is already moved in. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Very clean and secure. But the rate continues to increase about every six months. I rented a 5x5 less than a year ago for $70 a month. Its already at $90 a month. All you get is a 30 day notice, if that. I have been told this is fairly standard for chain storage in California.

We sold our home and needed a place to store our entire house until we moved into our next home. Sara was very knowledgeable and found me the perfect spot. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. I ended up having too much stuff for the unit I selected and needed to get another one. Both units were clean and easy to access. Future Renters Beware.First the good:The facility is well kept and the staff is friendly.Now the bad:But They raise the rates frequently. It makes me feel like they are price gouging. After 6 months they raised the rate $25. When I called to inquire why, they said it’s their right to adjust rates for no reason. I decided to stay a renter because it would take time and money to move it elsewhere, so I stuck it out. They’ve raised the rates every six months or so. I had a unit there for two years. At the two year mark they wanted $96 for a closet size unit. Twice what I started out with.This makes me feel like the company wants short term renters only. I would still be there indefinitely if it was $50 (around the amount I signed on with them initially) but the gouging made me so mad I’d rather donate all my stuff.Also, When I’ve gone to the unit and sometimes driving by, I’ve seen shady groups of people waiting around for auctions to buy units. It’s very predatory. I get it. It’s within their right. But it looks bad to see crowds of people loitering around.The company’s image is questionable when that is what is outside. It also puts in to question their motivation to have so many “auctions”.To future renters:The facility is fine, but expect your rates to raise frequently. Expect to see people loitering around so they can buy other people’s units, and expect your rates to be doubled or even more if you’re planning on housing your items there longer than a year and half. They also require renters insurance, which I didn’t mind, but it’s an added cost if you are pricing around.Good luck.

This is the cleanest and nicest place Ive ever used. Our family is ex military and we have had numerous different units around the country and this place by far is the best. I love the front office gal and Im very happy with the price as well. If you need a place I highly recommend them!I just read the other reviews and I saw a few things that I wanted to touch on as well. Ive never had my rent raised in 2 years and Ive never seen groups of people there who looked shady.

Just got a unit here. Tom was exceptionally polite and thorough for my minor needs in choosing a unit. He didn’t try to be pushy and sell a larger unit than my current needs. He was patient with showing me multiple unit sizes and made the paperwork process quick and seem less. All around easy experience compared to my multiple experiences with previous self storage companies

Came into get a space, and was greeted by to lovely ladies willing to help. Great costumer service. Affordable, and clean storage spaces. The golf cart ride was fun. Everything is set up electronically, so that makes it really fast and easy to get the space. All around a great place.

Just finished up my unit rental here and I have to say, Extra Space Storage in Santee was awesome to deal with. Super friendly and helpful, reasonable rates, zero issues with my storage unit, evening hours for accessing the unit and all my stuff was kept perfectly as a left it. I would definitely recommend them if you can get a unit with them and would for sure rent from Extra Space, especially the Santee location, again if I ever needed to.

Excellent. With exception Exit marking not good. Non exits should be clearly posted as such. Exit arrows should be painted on driveways.Directions on driveways.

Fast easy process to get a unit here, (tip: you can reserve one online). From the minute I put the lock on my unit it was smooth sailing. They even send you a reminder every month when your bill is due. I would definitely recommend if you are in need of some extra space. So,ermines you get these places where there is no one on site when you need something. Will be here for a long time. The only thing I do not like is the rates that change after 6 months. I had an incredible experience at their storage facility. Moving into a storage facility is not easy. Moving in itself is not an easy thing, but they made it effortless. Their online booking system made it easy for me to see what was available. When I went to the location, the property manager gave me a tour of the facility and let me see my rental space to make sure it was going to work for my needs. It did. The site has security cameras everywhere. Also, The lock to my storage unit is not only specialized, But its built-in to The door, adding another layer of security. The property has designated gate hours. No one wondering around the property for no reason after hours. (thats very unique in east county) Overall, I had a great experience and totally trust my personal belongings in this facility.
