My first time going to this location. Its fine but similar to all the others. This is a big distributor of liquor but their prices never really reflect the volume they sell. For instance Macallan 12 is around $70 here. At Costco its only $59. They are very similar with 15% or so mark ups on liquor compared to Costco.

I understand a business needs to flex with the times, but moving out a large amount of wine to make room for groceries, is disappointing. The reduced wine selection wouldnt be so bad if the groceries included some really good cheese, but I didnt see anything I couldnt get at my normal grocery store.

I would have given a 5 star review however this time around I was charged more than the listed price. Thankfully I checked the receipt and the staff were very helpful in refunding the money I was overcharged. Overall a good experience just a bummer to have the wrong listing price.

Nice store, decent selection... but as always be an educated shopper. I found the 1.75 L size of Pinnacle vodka for $7 cheaper at Food 4 Less, and the 1.75 L size of Stolichnaya for $3 cheaper.

Its nice to have most things you need in one spot.Selection is limited compared to Total Wine.Prices are OK. Better than the neighborhood liquor store, but Costco and total wine beat them in pricing. I always seem to get discount deals right after I go buy a lot.Its the best near me, so I will return, but Ill keep buying what I can at Costco.

Good selection but pricy for beer

Stopped by BEVMO Santee, impromptu. As I approached, with mask on btw, employee greeted me and advised it was online only. I acknowledged that and said I dont have a browser phone and would like to call it in and what is the number to call. He said, you need to calm down while I get that for you. (??) I was like what? I am calm, Im trying to follow the rules here. He then returns and was clearly frustrated and asked why I couldnt go online. Again, patiently, I said I cant but Im happy to call it in and he says LOOK, Ill do you this one time favor and take your order. I told him, its quite alright, Ill just take my business else where and there is no need for favors. So I left. Im a regular customer but after this shocking exchange maybe not in future. Only my first bad experience at this store.

Clean & beautiful

I like this Bevmo. Theyre pretty friendly and super knowledgeable... they really know their stuff. Their wine selection isnt as thorough as Total Wines but they have a decent selection and often theyre cheaper than the grocery stores, usually scotch and tequila.

Great location and always fun to go into even if we don’t need to buy anything. Great for adult birthdays, or any gift needs really and even if you can’t decide what to get for a friend or family member, they have gift cards. And I love how they put information about each alcoholic beverage, including which ones the staff enjoys.

I placed an order through DoorDash and Bevmo only supplied half of the order to the Dasher (was supposed to be 2 of each item and they supplied 1). I let the Dasher know and he said I needed to call DoorDash, which I did. DoorDash gave me the option of refunding the difference or processing a another order to get the items I paid for and did not receive. I went with the latter option and DoorDash placed me in hold to confirm that this was an option with the store. When they got back on the line they let me know that the store would provide the missing items and that the Dasher was on his way back to the store. Upon arrival, the Dasher called me and asked me to clarify the situation with the store. When I got on the line the BevMo rep told me they were not going to just give you things for free I explained the situation and let him know I had in fact paid for the items and that I did not receive them. He told me take it up with DoorDash and tried to disconnect the call. I explained I had and that they called the store before returning at which point the BevMo rep became very rude and abrasive toward me and the Dasher. Given the situation with COVID-19 and everyone being under extreme stress I tried to be understanding and de-escalate the situation at which point he abruptly ended the conversation by saying the driver had what he needed and hung up while I was still speaking. I received the missing items and the Dasher was more than apologetic. When I called the BevMo manager to let him know of the unacceptable behavior by his employee, he proceeded to reprimand me for using DoorFash in the first place saying that they get orders wrong all the time.Fast forward 2 weeks, BevMo has their own app now so figured it would be the best route for ordering since they highly disliked DoorDash. There werent any options for same-day delivery so we selected the only pickup window available between 7:45 & 8pm. The order confirmation email specifically said to wait for an order ready for pick up email before heading to the store, so I did. 7:55 rolled around and still no email so I decided to call the store to confirm before heading over. The same BevMo rep answered and said that Id need to get there in 5 minutes because they are closing and if I didnt receive the email then it wasnt ready. So I cancelled the order and will never purchase another item from BevMo again due to their poor service, communication, and execution. Hopefully their other stores handle online orders better than Santee.

Great selection of adult beverages, such as wines, hard liquor, hard to find beers, and also some high end items, such as aged or more rare liquors near $100 a bottle or so. Typically good and competitive prices. They also carry an assortment of mini sample size bottles. Accessories and mixers, snacks, are also there.

Wow... Just wanted some wine for a dinner party but I was treated like royalty!! Got the nicest, most knowledgeable man to help me!!! Still amazed... And the Malbec he selected was a huge success! Thanks so much!!!

Other than the hours I love this place. Who wouldnt love a place that serves 90% liquor. They have a great vodka selection as well. Every bev mo has decent customer service but this one seems to be on point. This one is definitely smaller than any other Ive been in but still a good selection.

I was looking for a specific type of sake and couldnt find it. One of their representatives offer assistance and went out of his way to look for it and even though they didnt had it or other locations near by he did an amazing job and also gave me a bit more details about the sake and information. I can feel comfortable asking questions and not feeling as if Im annoying. Keep up the good work!!!

Good place. Great selection. Prices are expensive, but all BevMos are pricey in general. Good to find something unique, but wouldnt buy a regular bottle of liquor or pack of beer here.

Bevmo is a great shop to go to to track down your favorite beers and spirits. I roam for about an hour each time I go. Huge selection. I enjoy going there but I cant help but notice that their booze is more expensive than even liquor stores. I regularly bought wild blue beer from my local liquor store @ $8.99 and bevmo had the same exact product on sale for $10.99They need to not mark up so much.

I went in to buy some Cooks champagne. The Vons is in the same shopping center, but I tried to give my business to the smaller BevMo v Vons. I went in and saw the price per bottle is $8.99. Vons is around 7.50.I went to an area that looked like it might be the manager’s office. I explained that I wanted to give BevMo my business, but to do that, they would have to match the Vons price. The guy in the office said he would need to send one of his managers over to Vons and verify the price. He went on to say that the manager assigned to pricing is “pretty on top of it.”I asked how long it would take for her to verify the price. His answer, “about a week and a half.”Well buddy, I am not waiting in your store for a week and a half. I went to Vons. $7.77 per bottle, $6.49 per bottle when buying 6 or more.BevMo is over priced and mismanaged. In 2018, it shouldn’t take a week and a half to verify a competitor’s price. The manager’s reluctance to price match shows where BevMo is as a business. DOOMED!
