A+ is my go to for all refrigeration, AC, and heating needs. They always come in when they say they are even on busy days. When it comes to fixing ac, Ice machines, glycol units, or any restaurant needs they do it professionally and at the end of each job explain what went wrong what they did to fix the problem and what to do to keep maintenance up. If a job cant be completed that day they jump on getting the parts needed and will set a temporary fix so youre not without service. All staff are super friendly and they actually care about and love what they are doing. As a business manager that has emergency fixes they always jump on getting the issue fixed. Would recommend A+ to anyone.

My heater wasn’t working and the mornings have been really cold. They came out the same day and within an hour fix the problem. Chris was great, he replaced a part on the spot and saved me having to replace the whole blower system which would’ve been very expensive. They also helped me with a problem over the phone. A+ rebuilt our walk in refrigeration to be a quick recovery unit and rebuilt our freezer then added 100 sq ft of space to the existing unit. A+ came in and designed the whole project handled permits and I just dont have words to say how satisfied I am. Most of all their bids were not outrageous, Micheal (the owner) sat and listened to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I strongly recommend A+ refrigeration. Mike, specifically, has gone above and beyond on several occasions to help me. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have repaired ac units and refrigeration walk-in cooler/freezer units for me, at multiple restaurant store locations, at a more than reasonable price. Always “gold standard” work without shortcuts. Mike has even made suggestions for improvements for long term use as opposed to “band-aid” repairs that would require the company to be needed frequently, saving us money. Overall, I would have to say A+ Refrigeration is very honest, knowledgeable, and hard working.

A+ was great. We have an Everest commercial fridge/freezer combo at our churc . When the freezer went out we had trouble finding someone to service the unit. Our options were limited, but A+ turned out to be a great company to work wit . Michael, the main contact, was helpful and accessible, and each of his guys were professional and courteous.Originally, we thought it was a simple wiring issue, but when we continued having trouble after the initial visit, Michael.came out personally for a free follow-up and we found out that our compressor was out which caused the wiring issues. A+ ordered all the parts and handled the installation of the new compressor which got us back running.The only two drawbacks were the lack of an electronic invoicing system and the inability to take card payment. Normally, these things wouldnt be a problem, but when asking for payment upon completion from businesses and organizations without having these tools can be tricky. Luckily, Michael was able to work with us, but the process of payment and scheduling couldve been a lot smoother. I hear they will be switching to electronic invoices soon at which time Id happily give them five stars. We will definitely use A+ again (by choice rather than necessity next time)!

I had a heating system install done few years ago and was happy with my new unit. Recently I had an issue with turning the heater on. AC worked perfectly all summer, but heater was not working at all. Icalled A+ Refrigeration and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived the next day right on time. They checked the system from the panel and that’s where the problem was. They repaired it inless than an hour. They did a great job! Thanks, guys!

I was diagnosed with a broken compressor by another big company in SB that begins with a C. They gave me an estimate of approx 2400k to replace this part and add refrigerant etc. They suggested as its an old unit that I replace it to the tune of 7k - no thanks. I decided to call around and it was refreshing to get a service manager on the phone who immediately could give me a quote vs some other companies I tried who btw Im still waiting to here back from their service tech 24 hours later. When A+ gave me a $1400 estimate for the compressor or $2600 for a new unit I hired them on the spot and they showed up the next morning (today) less than 24 hours later. This company has fair prices and fast service. I highly recommend. Thank you for the cool air I feel now circulating as I write this. :-)

I have worked with A+ refrigeration for APROX 9 years and have found them to always be professional and timely. Michael always picks up the phone when I call. Last week he was in Greece, and he still picked up his phone to take care of my needs. Keep it up guys.

I have used A+ several times now, and I dont think will ever call another HVAC contractor again. I recently had a mini-split heating/AC system installed, and did most of the work myself; some of the installation I simply just did not have the equipment or skill set to do myself, and hired A+ to leak test and complete for me. Most HVAC contractors will refuse to touch a new system unless they sold it to you, or as my poor experience with McCormack went, will try and charge you an exorbitant amount. A+ was awesome, after I explained what I needed they agreed to send someone out at an hourly rate, tested my system, fixed one of my mistakes and switched it on.. All in all it ended up being only 2 hours of work and a $260 grand total - McCormack had quoted me a $2000 flat fee for the exact same job after trying to cancel first on short notice!

He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what had happened, fixed it, and confirmed all was operating properly. Thank you and highest recommendations to you!

Getting an appointment was easy. They asked all the right questions which added to our confidence this vendor knew their stuff. The technician arrived on time and was very thorough in explaining the working condition of our furnace. In addition to his general inspection, the attendant walked me thru best practices to maintain a good furnace so that to avoid any problems in the future. He was really a great guy and obviously took pride in his work. Thank you.

A+ Refrigeration gets an A+ from me. We had an emergency at our store. Our rooftop cooling unit went down and we had to close the store because the machines that cool our product were not working. No other refrigeration company in town could send someone out for a few days. Michael Smlyun of A+ answered the phone and promised to be there at 9 am the next morning even though he was backed up with appointments like everyone else in the middle of August during a heat wave. When Michael arrived he went right to work, took out his electrical testing equipment, figured out what was wrong in a very methodical and logical fashion, and then went to work fixing it. He had it all done in 2 hours, including replacing an electrical part on a motor that got the motor working again like it was brand new. If he hadn’t been able to fix the motor with a part he had in his truck, it would have taken at least a week or so plus $500 or more to get a new motor delivered and installed. Which would have meant my business would have been closed down for a week. Thank God he had the knowledge, skill, and experience to figure out what was wrong with the motor and then find a part in his truck to fix it in short order. Amazing. And very cost effective too. Even if you’ve been using someone else for your refrigeration repair needs for years, I strongly recommend you give these guys a try. You won’t regret it.

We have been using A+ at Luckys in Montecito for about 1 year. They have continually provided excellent service--even in emergency situations. Michael, the owner/manager is very thoughtful and doesnt just jump to recommending the most costly fix. He discusses options and has an eye out for saving us money. Hes proven this time and again. Could not speak more highly of his service.

After trying A plus because they were the only company willing to give us a 1 hour window appointment, (instead of 4 hours ike every other place i called) I am very pleased with them . They were upfront about costson the phone, and diagnosed the problem and did a check of our filters and furnace without replacing anything. This is,particularly impressive because I had told them that I thought we needed a replacement thermostat and other work. When a service company has an opportunity to do unnecessary work, but does not dont do so because they are honest, thats a very positive sign. Punctuality clean appearance and offering an unsolicited senior citizen discount further reinforced my positive impression of them. Highly recomendex

Called this company on a Saturday afternoon when our cold box was not cooling at the bakery and they came out within an hour and diagnosed the issue. Tech sent us a picture of the problem and advised us as to how to fix the problem. Great service and very professional. Cant thank them enough for their prompt service. However, technicians from A+ Refrigeration, Heating & Air Conditioning fixed my antique unit and saved me money I was not ready to spend on replacement.Realy goog contractor!

Terrible in every way. First they missed and rescheduled my appointment, then the morning of appointment called again to delay and still couldnt make it on time. When the guy finally arrived he didnt know where to begin and seem confused. They are unprofessional and inexperienced. Bad enough that I felt compelled to spend my time to leave a review. I dont trust this company to do any work on my house and went with a more established and reputable company.
