I love this store so much its always a pleasure to go, the store has a wide variety of selections, and its all very cheap. I went over there the other day to buy some MTG booster packs, and I expected to only buy 3 but to my surprise they were much cheaper than I thought so I could buy 4. I love the events they hold, and I love how all the employees are so nice, and how they keep up with when new packs and things like that come out on there insta. The only complaint I could give is the store is too crowded when it comes to the amount of merchandise in there.

The staff here is INCREDIBLE. I always feel so welcomed here, theyre all incredibly nice and super helpful!! Easily one of my favorite stops in the city.

My go to place for all comics. The team at Metro is always awesome, during the pandemic they have been wonderful and deliver to us locals. I appreciate them more than I can say! And always friendly and knowledgeable, they have gotten me some issues I needed to complete sets and ones I missed the first time around. This place has just about everything! Besides comics, they have action figures, figurines, game cards, D&D, posters, t-shirts... Wow. And they cover the gamut from anime to classic superheroes. Before the pandemic, I remember they had people playing games just outside the shop. Pretty awesome!

The staff is super helpful and nice. They are very knowledgeable and have no problems finding or asking for help when they reach the limits of their knowledge. The prices are marginally higher than Amazon, but equal if you pre pay for an order. The customer service is worth the little bit extra cost.

Metro carries every nerd and geeks needs, from tabletop games and accessories, to comics, to toys and replicas. Metro also has an amazing staff of extremely kind, helpful, and interesting people who are always more than happy to help you find what you need, give you (amazing) recommendations, or just chat with you about your interests.While I myself have not attended yet, I do know that Metro hosts various game tournaments and and sessions, from master class magic brackets and Smash Bros. Games to free learning sessions for those new to games like magic and Dungeons & Dragons.Metro is overall an amazing establishment with incredible service and products, and I could not give it a better recommendation.

Really cool staff lots of collectibles

Fun little nerd store that has comics, collectibles, trading cards and more. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. I havent had the chance to play here as I only come here when visiting my friend and timing ends up being an issue, but they do have FNM and similar game nights. If youre just passing through town and you enjoy nerd stuff, definitely stop by here.

UPDATED REVIEW: Amazing customer service I was able to get my hands on one of my most sought out NECA figures and they held it here for me at the store I forgot to ask for the guys name but all the people who work here are really awesome. Will continue to come here in the future to try and get NECA and other collectibles

Metro entertainment is one of the best hidden places in Santa Barbara for comic books a place to relax and play games and just spend some time with a people of kind and like mind. The stuff are super friendly particularly the owner and the store manager. one of their best thing about this place is that staff are super knowledgeable about the comic books and they can make great recommendation to you. This place also provide great space to sit down on tables and play games with some friends or people you will meet and you might become friends with.

Metro is one of my favorite places to go in Santa Barbara. I first came for their board games, but soon was tempted over to the comics, and Im glad I was. Ive spent hours at a time browsing through their collection, and the staff and owner are always super friendly and helpful. Sometimes they dont have what Im looking for, but theyll put in an order at no extra cost, and let me know when it comes in. If you support local businesses like I do, go check them out. Big fan.

This place is the best! They have everything youll want: comics, back issues, collectibles, games and more. There are game tables for people who want to learn and for dedicated groups. The staff is knowledgeable and they are accommodating to all levels of interest: from initiate to passionate devotee. I just wish this place was closer to home!

Great place to go get magic the gathering cards. Great customer service, and straight up the coolest comic store Ive seen. Great variety of I teams such as board games, Card games, Toys, and obviously comics.

So I just went to the MTG booster draft Sunday event at 3 PM. I have not played Magic since 2008 and since I didnt have any cards I thought this would be a nice way to get back into the game. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had with MTG. Everyone playing was super helpful and patient with my slow drafting and turns. Ill definitely being go back to play here.On another note I have also bought graphic novels here. Pretty solid selection.

The staff is your A Team, always helpful and will never disappoint. If they dont have it, theyll order it. I love getting my comics from them.

The staff was very kind in helping me find what I needed (which was a Magic The Gathering Deck). They even werent frustrated when I came back two other times that same time I was in Santa Barbara when asking for something for a relative, overall I was very pleased in the store layout and appreciation the staff had given me on my very first time to a comic book store and hope to return. I had gone in at first because I was interested in the comics and such other things and left with nothing. The second time I had gone in I browsed a bit then asked for the attack on Titan manga. The workers there had no trouble helping me find what I was looking for and did it with a smile. I would totally recommend going here and I hope to be going for much longer!

Good spot to pick up board games, although they never seem to have larger titles like Ticket to Ride in stock. The crowd was pretty rowdy whenever we visit, but theyre always the friendly kind.

Its the best comic shop in town and has really nice employees. The shelf filled with discount comics has great prices with an array of great comic to pick from. Its also the only place in town to buy a gundam model kits.

I have been going to Metro for a long time and they are great. They have cool card game tournaments and have a really nice variety of comics, apparel, and toys. Everybody that doesnt like it that are being jerks can shut up.

I had a really ugly experience at this store! Today I brought my 4 little sons to that store to have a nice first time in their life experience browsing and buying comics and some vintage action figures. My kids are super well-behaved, and as all boys in a comics store they went walking around, picking up and browsing magazines, of course asking me to buy them this or that. They didnt do anything other than what regular disciplined 7-yr olds do. At some point I was ready to ask for help as we were zeroing in on a few items my boys wanted to take home. So I approached the tall, white-haired store clerk, smiled to him and almost asked him to assist me with the sale. But before I said a word he gave me an irritated stare and barked at me demanding that I made sure my kids put the items they picked in their original places and I watched them! And thats in the comics and action figures store!!! I am sorry, are they selling booze, cigars or diamonds and Venetian glass there? All of the crap in this store is for kids!!! And Im supposed to not let them touch stuff on the shelves? Needless to say the next moment we were leaving that store. The old grouch working in the kids store obviously hates... kids! Bottom line: he just lost $300 in sales, pushed away a great costumer who could have kept coming back for years and got a horrible review. Great job old timer! People, buy online and let this kids-unfriendly store with the old grouchy salesman deal with their high rent alone!!!

I went here looking for specific comics and I was able to get help fast. We found the comics almost immediately!

Has great Pokémon card selections, however a lot had dents, scratches, and warping. Some cards were priced a bit high for having these conditions. I did manage to buy a near mint lot with only four of the cards I bought having these traits. I paid decent prices and actually ended up spending $105 happily. Would totally go back and get more.

Moved to the states 9 years ago and first thing i did was started ordering my comics from Metro. 9 years later i am still ordering from them, never have issues with them, and if something does happen from a supplier, they always do their best to fix it. my comic book has gone digital and am always tempted to switch, but i dont, mainly because of this place. keep up the good work and GO LAKERS!

Dont really like this place. The back issues are overpriced (every other comic book store Ive been to, the back issues are cheaper not more expensive than the cover price). No backings on comics. The staff issues have improved though. A little less jerky and more helpful. I just order my trades from Amazon and issues from Midtown Comics. Hope this helps people save some money!

Bob the owner in there is chaotic.He literally harasses customers to this date on social media after they move there business elsewhere, ya know when people find out the hard way how awful their prices & deals are.Downright sad individual who is rude to walk ins or repeat customers. Its Summer 2017 and its been occurring for years... Dont bother with this place.
