I took my truck to the Chevy dealership ( I highly recommend dont) and they gave me the run around about my brakes. I was recommended to Hector. He found a frayed wire that Chevy didnt even take the time to notice. He fixed it with no hesitation. Im very grateful I didnt send the X amount of money that Chevy wanted to charge me for parts I didnt need. Thank you Hector and your staff for your patience and your willingness to help!!!

Hector got us in last minute on a Friday afternoon to repair an engine issue on our camper van! We called all over and none of the other shops could help us until after the weekend. He allowed us to park the van there overnight and got to it the very next morning. To our relief, it was a repairable issue that he identified and fixed in no time and had us back on the road. We really appreciated his flexibility and the fact that the shop is open on Saturdays!

Hector and the crew absolutely helped me out with a stressful situation. I’m in from out of town and Saturday morning, my starter went out on my Toyota Tacoma. Even though they had a short workday (1pm on Sat), he ordered up the part, got it installed and had me on my way before 1 o’clock! Knowing most service places are closed on Sunday, he absolutely saved the day. I had to depart town early Sunday morning so I’m truly grateful. I absolutely recommend these guys for your auto service needs.

I am new to the area and had some concerns with my vehicle, my very old vehicle. As far as I knew it could have been a major problem that cost a lot of money to fix. I called the morning that I dropped it off and they were able to fit me in that day. I was expecting to spend a good bit to fix it, and wouldnt have thought much of it. However, it ended up being an easy fix. Not only that, they did a lot of things to help that they didnt charge me for, like knocking the rust off the rear suspension to stop a really annoying squeak that was happening. Hector was amazing, and so helpful. He proved that hes an honest mechanic thats not going to overcharge. He gained a customer for life that day.

I am on a road trip across the US, and my “maintenance required” light came on my car. I requested that they give me an oil change and check out my car to make sure it was good for another roadtrip. They inspected all belts, hoses, etc., did an oil change and topped off any fluids that were low. The light is off and good to go! They were professional, priced fairly, and I would use their services again as well as recommend them to anyone in the Santa Barbara area.

I messed up my car quite bad where I had to replace the passenger side control arm, sway bar links, and tie rod ends. I called up multiple places in hope to find a place like figueroa st complete auto care that is completely honest with their customer in what they need and dont need to be serviced. Hector always called you beforehand when it comes to works that needs to be done to your car to let you know first. So that youre not blindsided by the stuff thats done to your car. Hector and his team has been nothing but super helpful and honest to me. Great service, communication, and very accommodating to your needs. Its hard to find a place like this nowadays. I cant recommend this place enough.

Im currently stranded in Utah because the people here apparently cant replace a starter. Not only did they keep my car for an entire 24 HOURS because they only ever have like 2 people with 20 cars in the shop, but now Im in the middle of Utah with a car that wont start once again. This should not have happened. Dont come here unless you want to wait WAY to long for them to get around to your car and then risk shoddy workmanship because they just want to get your car over with.

Driving from the SF bay area to go camping at lake Cachuma we noticed the transmission and clutch we having issues. They were able to take it in Thursday afternoon and get it turned around for us super quick the next day. We also noticed the clutch felt a little spongy Sunday. We called them first thing Monday with our truck loaded up and they were able to get us in first thing. They bled the system of air and everything was great! Huge job and they were amazing ! Saved our camping trip and got us on our way home safe and sound. Fair prices and very honest! Highly recommended.

Location is Central to downtown and has a big parking lot. They work on all types of cars and give fair and reasonable pricing. I give them complete confidence in diagnosing and repairing anything on any of my vehicles.

Just picked up my Tahoe from Hector and Danny today and boy was I surprised. Not only did they get the job done a full day ahead of time, they came in $300 under whats was quoted. They also did a tire rotation for free. Who does that in this town? These guys do.They had every opportunity to up sell me on my engine fix.... but they did not. Being the straight up honest hard working Americans that they are they changed the spark plugs another automotive shop had put in and it instantly made the engine return to normal... no more misfires. I was expecting that fix to run into the thousands but because they are so honest and sincere i decided to then get some non critical additional work done.Hector and Danny did an outstanding job on my Tahoe. I will be using them for all my automotive repair needs and will be recommending them to family and friends.Thanks again Hector and Danny!

Amazing service. As others have pointed out honest, hardworking staff. I have visited them 5-6 times, every time the service was exceptional. I usually do not write reviews, but these guys definitely deserve it.I just got a flat tire near Costco yesterday, and some have suggested to buy new tires at Costco, but I decided to drive on the small spare back to Figueroa guys as my tires were only 1.5 years old and they fixed the tire for 15 dollars! In Santa Barbara in 2017!Thanks again on excellent service.

Excellent Customer Service and honest hardworking staff. Been coming here for the last four years. Recently got new tires else where and they told me I needed new brakes. Their quote was $1250. I then took it to Hector and the staff at Figueroa. Brakes, rotors, oil change, and alignment at half the cost. These guys know what theyre doing. Thank you again, sad to be moving, wish I could take this shop with me.

Half off oil change with access card cost $70.i understand extra oil costs more, but receipt says $4 discount. Also says they checked fluids and tire pressure, but they definitely didnt check my tires, Not sure if fluids. Staff seemed very stressed. Will continue to paynmu regular mechanic full price oil change, $60.

There is a strong sense of pride of ownership here. The shop is clean, the staff is hardworking, the prices are fair, they are honest and respectable. I have been very pleased with the work they have done.

Hector always says 1 thing , especially on prices, and then it becomes something else. Told me $60 for a realignment, charged me $80. Asked to flush out my transmission , never did & charged me for it!Got my gaskets replaced, just days later they are falling off and leaking. I bring my car back to redo, gets pushy and has attitude, been a week since they fixed the screw up and already back to leaking and had to take elsewhere. Not reliable! They had my car for over a week and up on the rack, hardly did any of the work I employed them for, didnt even notice or warn me that my controller arms were about to snap, 1 actually did and my wheel fell off while moving and could have killed me ! On top of that they charged me $150 (does not take 90 mins to do!) to just install a new fan shroud & throw in a new windshield wiper pump (which they didnt even hook up correctly - had to redo elsewhere!) An did not give me my original parts back which I needed , just kept or tossed my stuff. Such BS!Very very sloppy in here, rush people and jobs because they have a good location and get busy -Overcharge for labor. The whole 9. Find another spot

Worst service Ive ever had in Santa Barbara. I went in for a tune up and transmission work paid almost $600 and two weeks later my car was in worse condition. They said to bring it back in again but unfortunately the mudslides prevented me from taking in immediately. A month later I finally got it in and they couldnt figure out what was wrong, they called me and admitted to me that they are Not knowledgeable with ford trucks so they had to get help from Powell garage. Then they said they would be replacing the coil and when I got it back they said they didnt and wont unless I pay more. The owner, Hector, did not care that they couldnt figure out was wrong. now Im at a loss of $600 and my truck now even worse problems than it did before. I just wish they would of told me from the beggining that they dont know how work on ford rangers. I usually dont write reviews on anything but I need to warn the rest of SB not to go to them. If the owner was nice about it too then I wouldnt care but the fact that he obviously had no remorse for their bad work and wanted to charge me more shows that they probably wont be in business much longer with service standards like that.

Worst experience ever. All work had to be redone by another shop after my car sitting there for months and spending thousands of dollars. So many other shops in town that stand behind their work and make things right. Treated horribly by the owners.

They fixed my fast idle problem but it took two $200 visits; so now I wonder if the first repair was necessary.
