I ordered a duvet from Linda (store supervisor) at the Santa Barbara, CA Pottery Barn store on July 16. After waiting 2 weeks for my delivery, I called Linda back. She found my duvet on a shelf in the back room….never got shipped. She promised she would overnight the shipment. Two days later at 7:24 pm. I received a shipping notification. It was still in her store, not shipped. When I called back Linda (store supervisor) the next morning, she assured me it was in the mail and I would be receiving it. I shared the shipping confirmation with her, and that it had yet to be shipped, she said she would look into it and get back to me.Of course she never called me back. I had to make yet another call to Linda (store supervisor). What a surprise, she still had the package in her hands, 3 days after she told me she had sent it overnight. She was insincere with a short apology and offered no resolution. I cancelled the purchase.and requested my money refunded. Beware of Linda (store superviser) when dealing with Pottery Barn in Santa Barbara, CA… Dishonest, insincere, and dismissive.

Bland bland bland as oatmeal unadorned. Virtually zero pops of color in the store, which is a bit of a head scratcher...

I walked in to the Pottery Barn store in Santa Barbara on 8/ 23/20. First thing I noticed was employees not wearing any mask. One employee had one pulled done under her nose. We noticed 6 customers were NOT WEARING MASKS EITHER!!! What is wrong with the management of this store.Does the SB store think is special?I will CC this message to coporate office.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Chelsea Lennon fielded a call from me on a very busy Friday, I was looking for a specific platter and the Santa Barbara store was the only one that had it in stock and for pickup only. Chelsea had mentioned they were very busy but that someone would look and call me back. Chelsea called me back the following Wednesday asking if anyone got back to me. They had not, but I had called back over the weekend to check with someone and I had a not so pleasant experience with that individual. She said she was a manager and tried to rush me off the phone and that they didnt have the platter. Chelsea told me she was just going to check again to make sure and was SO apologetic for the unpleasant experience I had had with the previous person. When Chelsea called me back, she told me they did in fact have the platters, and was more than willing to ship them to me on Oklahoma. She is the type of person I hope to deal with everywhere, THANK YOU CHELSEA!! I know my daughters Nightmare Before Christmas birthday party will be amazing because of you!!

Visited this store to purchase a gift card. Not one of the visible employees was welcoming. Remind them this is Retail. Not a good experience! High prices & low customer service is not a good combo for ongoing su cess.

I have ordered many thousands of dollars of Pottery Barn merchandise from the Santa Barbara store. Couches, chairs, mirrors, decor... the list goes on. Yet it never ceases to amaze me how rude the multitude of middle aged women who work there always are. Mind blowingly rude. Forget a hello welcome to Pottery Barn, no no. What you’ll likely encounter is as follows: scoffing, rolling eyes, rudely ignoring your existence even when you’re making it clear you need help, and smugly insulting you with snide comments just to ensure you understand they are better than you. It’s not one person in that store, it tends to be the collective attitude emanating from those employed there. That’s not to say every single employee acts this way, but it’s a rare occurrence that someone in the SB store gives a glimmer, a mere glint, of decent customer service. The only thing I can figure is that it’s part of their mandatory weekly service training. Welcome trainees- It’s your lucky day! It’s “How to treat the customer like a pile of excrement” training day!I suppose an alternate theory could better explain it—off-gassing from the foam inserts of the new sectional is causing some serious side effects. Either way—it needs to be remedied.Today was the last straw. PB and I are breaking up.You can no longer win me back with a 20% off your entire order coupon lovingly placed in my inbox after you bullied me once again, Pottery Barn. Although I have always loved your aesthetic, and wish things were different, I’m leaving you for Crate and Barrel.

Terrible customer service. I have been in to the sb store multiple times and I never feel welcome. I have found the staff rude on multiple occasions. Most of the workers seem very preoccupied and annoyed if you need help. Its a shame because I love their products but I hate going into the store.

The pottery barn here is fairly upscale. It sits in Plaza and feels rather welcoming when you come in if not kind of quiet. The staff are pretty helpful and theirs a large amount of things in display. Mostily its a good little place to drop by on your wall along the plaza.

The quality of their linens is not all that good. I bought a duvet cover that teared up after a few months. They have a great selection of items tho!
