This has been the absolute best car buying experiences I have encountered. First communication was via email with Jeff Knepp. Responded right away to my questions and didnt give me the runaround with pricing the Q7. Made my appointment for a test drive the next day. Drove up to the dealership from Los Angeles and Jeff was there waiting for me with the vehicle I had requested. Jeff worked with me to get me the best possible deal without stress or haggling. Everyone I encountered during this experience was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be heading back for my next car. Simply an amazing experience made possible by Jeff and the team.

If I ever end up in Santa Barbara again with an Audi with problems they will be first on my list to call, Audi Santa Barbara went up and beyond to get a rare part ordered shipped and installed before we had to continue on our vacation. Thank you for fast and great service, and nice loaner car!

Really poor experience with Audi Santa Barbara. It was mandated that all paperwork be handled in-person because they stated that it was the law in California. They insisted that we needed to drive up to Santa Barbara to complete paperwork because they had to witness the signature in-person. When I refused on several instances due to Covid19, they agreed to drive the car down to us.When they arrived with the car, they mandated that I write them a check for a 50% higher down payment than what was written on the sales contract. We signed the paperwork, gave them the inflated down payment, and they left. During our initial drive of the vehicle, we realized that the driver side face vents were not functioning at all. We reviewed the statements and the contracts and there was zero acknowledgment of issues with HVAC system with the vehicle. I contacted the salesperson to let him know and he stated that he never noticed that the system was not functioning properly...even though he spent 3 hours driving the car from Santa Barbara to Encinitas, CA. Seems unlikely given that the AC was on when we received the car. After that discussion, I received a call from our salesperson stating that he neglected to get one of the documents signed properly and that we also overpaid by 50%. He stated that he would send the form and a check for the difference overnight to me. That didnt happen. It took several days for us to receive the overnight package, and when it did, we had already left on a vacation. Upon our return, we opened the envelope and saw that the form was there, but the payment was not. After several attempts to get an answer, I finally reached the Finance Department and they stated that they didnt know why I was charged a deposit of 50% more than Capital One required, but they decided to deposit it anyway. The finance department said that they didn’t send me the difference because they were waiting on receiving our signed paperwork…even after they stated that they would include it with the document in the overnight package. Turns out they did it on-purpose and deposited the check that they knew was an inaccurate amount and then held the difference as a bit of a ransom…bizarre. (Interesting to note that the finance department originally said that the check wasn’t ready when the envelope went out. When I asked why they didn’t send it when it was ready, they stated that it was to make sure that they get the document back.)I was completely comfortable paying the higher deposit because it is what was we agreed upon during the negotiation. They made the decision to make it 50% less. My suspicion is that they did it to generate a higher payback on the financing of a larger loan or to keep it at a higher interest rate. I asked the finance department if a higher down payment would impact our interest rate and they stated that it would not make a difference. I don’t know this to actually be true, though. Finally, the worst aspect of this process is the fact that the GM would not take my call when I called to understand why I was charged more and why my overpayment was held against my wishes. I still have not heard anything from their finance department or the GM. Really disappointing and makes me happy that I don’t have to rely on a service contract with them! The only upside is that we love the Audi Q7.

They are very prompt about repairing my car. I appreciate that they provide a loaner most of the time when I need one. The service staff are polite and informed. If one needs to wait on property, there are clean comfortable places for that.

This is the only pleasant car buying experience I e ever had. Mr Fogg is an honest man. Extremely forthright, direct, and wont waste your time (which I can not say for any other dealership Ive ever been to). Do yourself a favor and deal with Audi or one of there sister dealerships for a truly easy car buying experience.

FRIENDLY STAFF, NICE DEALERSHIP, only problem is that the AUDI selection is weak. The sales staff seams to sell only out of there inventory, and if what I want isnt n stock, there is no urgency to make a deal. I just Leased a new SUV , A RIVAL DEALER SHOWED SOME URGENCY on my behalf and we made a deal.

Bought my vehicle from them last year and Kyle Hogland arranged for an amazing pick up event at the Biltmore. Yesterday was my first maintenance with them which had resulted in an unfortunate miscommunication but Rick Wong was professional and courteous and definitely salvaged that experience. Kudos to the team.

My car buying experience at Santa Barbara Auto Group was the best I’ve ever had. I met with Ken Maynard at Acura, Shane Koblis at Mercedes and Kyle Hogland at Audi. All were very nice to work with and extremely helpful as I took the time to make my decision. I didnt receive the unpleasant high pressure sales pitch that I have experienced with prior car purchases. I ultimately bought an Audi from Kyle who was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend all of these men to anyone. Great customer service all around!
